Stéphane Guiran, Le Chant des elms , for the Lower Gallery of the Fenil.

Stéphane Guiran was born in 1968 in France, in the Var. He lives and works in Eygalières (Bouches du Rhône). Trained at ESSEC in 1991, he changed his life in 2001 and devoted himself to sculpture. 

Until 2011, he mainly produced works from steel lines. During this period his refined work, often inspired by calligraphy and Japanese haikus, seeks to link writing and sculpture.In 2012, he joined the Galerie Alice Pauli in Lausanne with the first personal exhibition. 

He started exploring other media: photography, drawing, and especially glass and crystal which quickly take the central place in his work. He explores crystal mainly as a recycled material through his work on cullet (debris from the crystal industry).

From 2016 the works aim to involve the public. In 2017, he created Le nid des murmures for the Manège des Ecuries du Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire.Stéphane Guiran is a poet who transforms his dreams into delicate sculptures or dreamlike scenes.

Tiphaine, who has been featured in various photo campaigns, as a model, stylist or artistic director for Rouje left Paris for the Luberon for good after having passed the 1st confinement in the South.

"I grew up 30 minutes from here, I did my high school years in Avignon. I am happy to be able to offer the same living environment to my children, a life between nature and the city.Last year, with Rouje, I imagined a campaign for denims, photographed in the street. We were posing together with an empty stroller ... A few months later, I was pregnant for real."

2 In 1 as I wanted to draw them both for “graceful” prompt, so decided to do them one for today also. Studies of 2 paintings I like that have very cool distinct styles , and I find them graceful too :)

First is from Lucien Victor Guirand de Scévola. Such a cool style especially considering the period he was from too.

Second is from a painting by abbot handerson thayer, whos style I’m also very drawn too.
