While it might not be obvious in the text, she's having a little hoot in her own company, laughing a bit at her own attempt at silly, cheesy pick-up texts. That, and she might have been dared by some of her followers from her steam to do something risky, a dare that had ended with a 'I'll take you up on it!' and a warm farewell and promise of an even better stream next them.

There might have been a slight loud and ugly snort at that message, Guinaifen falling back onto her. There's something funny about this, sending little silly texts. She, however, might have outdone herself with a small message of encouragement...

If only they realized the inspirational levels of discord that's become such an insurmountable foundation in his life. One such example being checked as the phone is booted up with life, leading to an artificial life to brighten up his face.

An unconscious shot of elation dawns at that smile that could bring life to the darkest nights. With a selfie of her smiling face framed while a fireworks flare surrounds that name of Firekiss, it left him wondering what sort've excitement got her bouncing out the walls.

Many things were anticipated, a feeble attempt in predicting the unpredictable.

Being rocked with this level of whiplash was so potent, that Guinaifen may as well flung fireworks through the screen. For an instant a daze of stars cloud his vision before his voice tried to speak, only for a hacking cough to follow suit that immediately made a good round of passerbys immediately avoid him, judging stares digging into his back all the while. Breathe. The internal order forced air into his dreamy lungs before edging back, doubling down his resolve to stare at this screen again!

It wasn't over. A wicked force had to have taken over her soul, imbuing it with a sense of thrills that she normally never typed before! That mere teehee emoji that follows being undeniable proof!

In a flash of delirium as he begins to run, Caelus hadn't even realized what he typed.

What follows was a blur as one moment he's underneath the eternal sky, and the next he finds himself stashed in the nearest clothing store. Stumbling past the designer Ts, the skinny jeans, only to find himself propped upon a nearby wall after nearly tearing a rack off the hinges.

He could feel the way his heart proceeds to race within his chest, more of those damnable buzzes following in heart pursuit. It was enough to make the hairs on his neck stand while a measure of heat swarm his face. Think Caelus, think.

'Spreading my legs.. Huh. I have heard that the flexible do enjoy having someone 'remotely' in their ballpark. But then what does that have to do with me on Google maps? ..Having me go full eagle, wanting to eat.. Is she finding herself in a mood to make me a 5 star meal?!'

It's flattering really, and in the same vein the sheer amount of chaos that elicited stunned him into stupor. This level of brazenness exercised was a line they've never dove into before. Was this some kind of fun joke or did the fiery carnivore within found itself unleashed!?

Just as he flicked his eyes across the screen, wholly prepared to give his earnest thoughts on the matter while calling her a goofball, once again does reality pause...

Eyes scrambling across the text, she was about to find out the exact way he perceived this information. Caelus could be found sinking down to his knees as his jaw remained hanging.

HSR 2-13-24

Man I just checked in today and I'm already getting hit hard.

First part of the day was some casual SU runs, one with Nihility and one with Elation. More important than the runs was the rewards, since I'm at 191 tickets now.

I've decided that since I only need 180 tickets to guarantee an Acheron pull I'll use some of the excess to either [A] get some Black Swan Eidolons or [B] lose a 50/50 so I can guarantee Acheron later and save on tickets.

All I got out of the first extra round was another copy of Day One of My New Life, which is disappointing. At the least I'd like to get a couple new Eidolons for Guinaifen or Misha. Still, there's six more weeks until v2.1 drops so it's not like I don't have time to try again.

Missions tonight:

Did the Cocona quest and. God. It's nice to know that I've stopped someone from committing suicide twice now. There's a lot of people who are just deeply miserable here on Penacony, huh. Also, Lady Greenham from the World's End showed up at the very end and that was a pleasant surprise since it let me get snapshots of her in non-blue lighting.

Helped a guy build a "dream girlfriend" version of a girl that rejected him.

Got some reviews of Dream's Edge from The Family. They're not great!

Snapped a photo and learned one of the Intellitrons up here on Dream's Edge is a former ship intelligent spaceship and last survivor of a dead civilization.

Paid an exorbitant amount of money to try and end roboslavery and all I got was a lousy gift card.

All of that was enough to let me finish upgrading the Clockie Statue and get the new phone wallpaper!

[DRAGON DANCE] - Uh-oh! It seems like the main crew that would lead the dragon dance are two members short, and need two sets of hands NOW! Grab someone and help keep this dance from falling through.

It's always a bummer when things down work out like they are supposed to. But Guinaifen is never one to give up! Sure, her original dance partner ended up not being able to show up and do the performance, but that doesn't mean that there aren't others would could fill the role! It's pretty traditional, so most folks would likely know the routine, or have a decent idea of it.

As if on cue, the redhead comes across a star of the Xianzhou- the General of the Yaoqing. Surely the foxian would know the dance! Plus it's a good opportunity to actually talk to her instead of watching from a respectful distance as a random citizen of the alliance.

The redhead easily strikes up to the General, both dragon heads in each hand with a wide smile etched across her face.

The Xianzhou had similar celebrations at this time of year, and it didn't seem to be too different from what she had become accustomed to. "Nope." A sigh left her lips and she leaned back on her hands, looking at all the cute couple being all lovey-dovey. It was a joyeous day and it's not like no one did ask her out... But they were fans from the internet and there was no way she would ever start anything with them ever. It was her job and they were her clients basically.

"I was hesitating on doing a performance today but I'd rather hang out with you. At least I know you won't be focused on anyone else." Guinaifen chuckled. A day like this wasn't bad for business. In fact, most people found entertaining to watch her while they spend time with their lovers but a part of her felt lonely too.

"So, what do you want to do? They have some new chocolate at a stand at the end of the road. Wanna try some?"

Caelus likes hanging out in March's room. It's cozy, comfortable, and provides the added bonus of hanging out with his best bud. He also appreciates the.. uh.. what's the word... not aesthetic.. the vibe.. the design? Interior decorating? Ain't something he knows as he doesn't have a room of his own yet, not that he's complaining. Again, he gets to hang out with his family by sleeping in their rooms or just out in the parlor car with Pom-Pom chatting to him every now and then---- Back to the point! Caelus enjoys relaxing with March, in her room.

And that's what he's doing-- in the pinkette's space, sitting on one of the "bag chairs" (he forget's the name [shocker /j]) on the ground, half sprawled out as he stops mid-stretch when something on his phone screen catches his attention.

He was scrolling through that website that Guinaifen made for the Ghost Hunters, just to keep tabs on things- you know, typical Nameless stuff-- before he notices that there's a whole new section on the site. A tab titled "Jarilo VI". Huh.. Guess that whole introducing the galaxy to the home of the Preservation worked out extremely well. Probably because of Luka's popularity after the War Dance, and probably because Caelus' excellent manager-ing skills while talking to the press (aka Little Gui and almost only Little Gui- listen he still is nervous about interviews [No he has not forgotten the impromptu "Meet The Hero of the Xianzhou and Nameless" live stream Guinaifen.]).

Stay on track Caelus! There is a new section on the site- for Jarilo. Yippie tourist activity and economy recovery is a go! The silver clicks on the tab, curious as to what people have to gossip over about the snow covered planet. One of the very first articles on the page talks about some man who's frequently there asking for aid, and going on a conspiracy rant about how people are being replaced by fakes. The tiniest blip of self-doubt nips his mouth Is That What I am.. A Doppelganger? STOP.

The lad keeps reading, only slightly disturbed by some of the comments he skims through (he's honestly seen worse) while trying to get a grasp of whatever the commotion seemed to be- or what new "haunted spot" was discovered. Some even say that when they ask the Silvermane Guards about this fence blocking off an alley way that the guards adamantly deny that said alley even exists. He doesn't think the guards would lie over something like that- if anything they'd be already investigating-- Especially if Bronya or Gepard heard about it.

Something about the whole thing doesn't sit right with him, aside from the fact that he's used to using this website to find and track down ghosts and "magical" occurrences.. But that was on the Xianzhou Luofu.. with Heliobi as the cause of such phenomina. Surely no Heliobi just.. tagged along with any Xianzhou visitors to Jarilo.. Right? Gyah--! He has to check it out, but he would at least have had the Ghost Hunting Squad with him to check it out. Now he isn't afraid of a heliobus causing chaos, but he doesn't like them causing problems that might negatively impact Jarilo's recovery. Plus the lad has been told repeatedly that he should not go off on an adventure on his own (even if he tells someone where he's going or what he's doing).

Totally not unnerved by the idea of some other heliobus pulling another stunt like the one Cirrus did with the whole soul sucking and multiple instances of body possession--- nope. Not traumatized or terrified of that at all! Maybe he can talk March into going with him to investigate, if nothing else. It kind of is their job as Nameless--- sort of. It's not stellaron related, but still!!

HSR 2-14-24

Starting the day with a run in the SU, D5C2 for Gold and Gears to get a D5 run in on Nihility. Blessings went great, and I ran into Ruan Mei pretty early and got every Blessing of The Hunt which was fantastic for speeding up damage output. I ran into the Three Trotters event twice and Guinaifen managed to solo all three of the pigs twice. I also got to put two more notches on Huohuo's kill list! She took out a Blaze Out of Space and had the final kill on the automaton brothers after the rest of the party had gotten wiped by Purge Order.

Two Paths down, seven more to go.

After that I fiddled with Pure Fiction for a bit:

Redid the third stage of the previous PF to see if I could break the 50K point barrier (I did not). Did try out Himeko for a first run and I can happily say I'm very impressed already.

First-time full cleared the first half of Stage 3 in the new PF thanks to Black Swan! I didn't get the back half - I was just a little too slow, but I got to 55K so it's within striking distance.

Tried Stage 3 again, this time just going full "Fuck It We Ball" on the second half with a comp of Jing Yuan/Serval/Ratio/Yukong. Yukong almost died but I got the 60K and that's all that matters!

Stage 4 went pretty well, the first half got held up by Yanqing and Himeko helped a lot with the back half. Finished with 51K, so the whole shebang's got 11/12 stars. I can probably be satisfied with that until I do some proper building.

I would try for more stars on the first PF since I'm only 7/12 over there but I genuinely don't really have good ways of dealing with those problems in a timely manner.

General reports for the day:

Finally read through Kafka's story beats in the character database and I really enjoy the concept of tracing her history backwards through her wanted reports, it's a really nice gimmick.

Finished the Dr. Chadwick quest and goddamn Penacony missions swing and just don't miss, huh. Seeing the Genius Society members again was a real highlight and the story itself had so many good gut-punch moments.

Watching an old man's funeral and the ramifications of his final wishes followed immediately by heading upstairs and running into Bossy Coconut Angelcake is some peak tonal whiplash.

He had quite the opinion but! She could forget about him for a moment and enjoy their single lives together. Yep. Just two single ladies.

"Everyone is really busy today, huh? Sushang is working too so I was worried I was going to die of boredom out there." Of course she could have streamed but it would have been a bit sad when everyone out there was enjoying their romantic lives. "Let's do something fun then! Love isn't just for partners. Friends can do all the same things too."

Looking around, she hummed in thought, wondering what they could be doing to fill their day. "Hmm, what would anyone else do... Most couples would go out for dinner or like, get their fortunes read or something, right?"

They'll be able to follow every step that I take and even comment to help me figure out what to do next. It's very immersive."

What she brings back was a day of absolute defeat. One that had him sounding like one of those howling specters as she exorcised him.

"T-- That-- and you!" He sputtered, holding absolutely no ground as he'd impulsive kiss her in the good name of shutting her up.

Mainly to how a passing couple gave them the sus eyes at the talk of 'adventure'.

"Oh , oh , oh ! Like the first time you choked on my sister's super spicy stew ? That was quite memorable ! Or ... there's also the first time you kissed me, asked me to be your girlfriend ... hm ... or, that one time we went on an adventure in the Xianzhou's storage area!"

She could keep listing Caelus... how deep are you willing for the memories to go? How far are you willing to trailblaze down memory came ... I mean, lane.

Now that she had stopped her tricks, the crowd was starting to disperse. Tips were dropped into the jar she usually had out, painted with a little chibi Guinaifen on the front. She quickly grabbed it before bouncing back to the woman.

“Thanks! It’s always awesome to get praise from a stranger. Means I gotta be doing something right.”

As she hugged the jar to her chest, she tilted her head. “You’re definitely not a Xianzhou native, huh?”

The streets were busy as Guinaifen did her performance, flips and back handsprings all the way down the pathway as the people watching her cheered. She had managed to avoid knocking into a single person milling around the area, but just as she was going to do her last flip, someone cried out for her to be careful.

"Whoa!" She managed to launch herself right over the poor woman who'd stopped to look at her, landing cleaning on her feet and immediately turning. "That's one for the records! I didn't hit ya, did I?"
