A Day of Darkness

The last thing Tendrokos remembers was his own staff flying straight at him. After that, it all went dark...

This whole event was a mess for Tendrokos. Perhaps the universe was trying to tell him something. Maybe he was just unlucky. Either way, it ended up with him near death, laying on the cold stone floor.

His bad luck began at the beginning of their journey, when they were walking the dark roads of Duskwood. Tendrokos was ambushed by killer spiders, one biting him on his neck. Not a good way to start the night.  

Later that night as the ventured through the graveyard where this lab was located, they were attached by a few zombies. He got one of them easily enough, but the venom began to work its magic as he missed the other undead coming to feast on his living flesh. By the time they reached the entrance to this lab, Tendrokos was sick, bloody, covered in gore, and had a few large gashes across his chest. 

Out of no where some Death Knight showed up and after some time they killed him, not without nearly choking Ten to death. Just another injury to mark on the long list of pain.

I would like to say this is the end, but Tendroko's luck was long gone at this point.

Soon as they got into the lab, which was occupied by some crazed sorceress, they had to take on at least 10 Warlocks.

Before Tendrokos could even get one spell out, three of these bastards hit him with shadow bolts, bringing Ten to his knees in pain. Before he could even regain himself and focus on the fight, he was hit with another volley of shadow bolts, throwing him back a few feet as he curled up in agonizing pain.

When they finally got to attack the sorceress, things went worse for our poor Warlock.

In his last muster of strength, his demon took over control, launching his staff at the women, dealing some heavy damage. But no sooner had the odds began to work in his favor that his staff was hurled back at him, throwing him against the wall and knocking him out cold.

Sadly, Tendrokos was right. Fen would be dragging his body out of the tomb that night.

The Blue Banner

1 year anniversary, conclusion of story
