2022 will always be the most memorable year for both of us. All that we planned for the past years was achieved one by one. I got engaged and We get Married last March. Hindi ko makakalimutan yung pagpapahiya sakin ng isang parent sa pila sa cashier kahapon.

As early as 8:00am, pumunta ako ng school para mag enroll. Antagal kong pumila din sa registrar para sa breakdown ng tuition fee, kung magkano yung babayaram upon enrollment. So nalaman ko na kung magkano, edi sinend ko na sa parents ko. E si mama, nasa norte, she's on a business meeting with a lot of big names don. So ako, pumila ako sa cashier kahit wala pa nadedeposit sa atm ko. Imagine 9:30 - 12:30 nakapila ako. So nung malapit na ako, i checked wala pa yung cash. Tinawag na yung pangalan ko, over and over, nag mic pa. So lumapit na ako sa window to tell them na hindi pa pumapasok yung pera. So para hindi amo ulit pumila sa dulo, iniwanan ko yung backpack ko on the seat na inuupuan ko, at inabisuhan ko yung kasunod ko na sila na muna para magtuloy tuloy yung pila. Tapos lumabas ako, to call mama and check her, but nasa meeting pa sya.

2:00pm, still wala pa din. Nasa pangalawang meeting na si mama at hindi pa natatapos, so bumalik ako sa loob para icheck yung pila at yung bag ko. May commotion na sa gilid, yung mga parents, pinag uusapan na yung bag ko. Sinabihan na ako ng kabatch ko na ako nga pinag uusapan. (E along the way papuntang atm dadaan ako sa harap nila) mag checheck na ulit ako, then suddenly..

Parent: *snapped pala to get my attention* uhm, excuse me?

Me: yes po?

Parent: sayo ba yung bag na nandoon sa harap? Pwedeng pakialis? Kasi kita mo oh *points sa line*

Me: pasensya na po, nilagay ko po kasi yan jan kasi po hindi pa po pumapasok yung pera, e kaninang umaga pa po ako nakapila, ayoko lang po pumila ulit sa likod po.

Parent: *with a sarcastic voice* e wala pa pala pambayad, edi wag ka muna pumila.

Me: *natahimik bigla*

Basta madami pa syang sinasabi. Hinila na ako ng tropa ko. Nanginginig na daw boses ko. Which is true. But i keep my composure, same tone. Hindi ako nagtataas o nag bababa ng boses. All i kept on saying is "pasensya na po." Then ayun nag withdraw na ako. Since dadaan ako sa harapan nya, nagsalita ulit ako.

Me: Ma'am, pasensya na po ulit, aalisin ko nalang po. Pero mali po kasi yung ginawa nyo po, sana po kinausap nyo nalang po ako ng personal po, hindi po yung sisigawan nyo po ako po. Napapahiya po kasi ako. Uulitin ko po, pasesnya na po.

Parent: sumisigaw ba ako? *increasing her voice again*

Me: naririnig n po kasi nila kayong lahat...

Kung mga kakilala ko yun, baka nagkasigawan pa. Sabi ng mga kasama ko, ang galing ko daw, napanatili kong kalmado yung sarili ko. One parent approached me and told me, " You did a great job down there, hijo, you didn't stoop down to her level. Hayaan mo na yon may araw din yon. Hindi sya makaintindi, tanda-tanda na nya." After hearing this, medyo gumaan pakiramdam ko. Hiling ko lang, wala nang mapahiya sa ganoong paraan.
