Loki Season 2 Cast: Every Marvel Character Confirmed to Appear | The Direct

Loki Season 2 is filled with new and returning characters across the wider MCU Multiverse, and here's every hero and villain confirmed to return.

The upcoming second season of the Tom Hiddleston-led Disney+ series is set to address the cliffhanger of Season 1's mind-blowing finale. In doing so, Loki is set to team up with old and new allies while also coming across fresh faces.

1.) Loki (Tom Hiddleston)

Tom Hiddleston is set to reprise his role as the God of Mischief in Loki Season 2. Based on last season's finale, the titular anti-hero is expected to have a much bigger role in the series, complete with higher stakes due to the arrival of many Kang Variants.

Marketing for Season 2 showed that Loki is back as a full-fledged member of the Time Variance Authority (TVA), with snippets of footage showing him using magic during missions. However, the crux of Loki's mission relies on him warning the TVA about Kang's true intentions while finding Sylvie before it's too late.

2.) Mobius (Owen Wilson)

Owen Wilson returns as Mobius, but the question remains if he's still the same version of the character from Season 1. During the finale, Loki (and the audience) realizes that the Mobius he's speaking to is not the same since he doesn't recognize him.

It's possible that the Mobius Loki interacted with during the Season 1 finale is a Variant, or Kang mind-wiped his memories. Still, promo footage for Season 2 revealed that Mobius would play a major role alongside the titular trickster, potentially helping him to uncover Kang's secrets within the TVA.

3.) Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino)

When Sophia Di Martino's Sylvie killed He Who Remains during the Season 1 finale, it unleashed the Multiverse with endless possibilities and a plethora of Kang Variants.

The ramifications of Sylvie's actions are expected to be at the forefront in Season 2. However, considering that Season 2 set photos revealed that Sylvie is trapped in the 1970s working for McDonald's (yes, really), Loki will need to find her first.

It's possible that Sylvie will eventually "wake up" and team up with Loki and Mobius to round up the Kang Variants in the Multiverse, but it's a taller task that requires more than the entire TVA. Who knows? Season 2 could end with Loki and Sylvie alerting Earth-616's Avengers about Kang.

4.) Ravonna Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw)

Loki's Season 1 finale revealed that Ravonna Renslayer went rogue to find "free will."

Although the Season 2 trailer featured Renslayer in a brief appearance, the character's whereabouts are still unknown. Given that Mobius is a close friend of Ravonna, it's possible that a side plot of the upcoming season would be focused on the search for Renslayer.

5.) Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku)

Hunter B-15 had a significant role in Season 1, and the trend is expected to continue in Loki Season 2.

Similar to Mobius, Wunmi Mosaku's TVA agent seen in the Season 1 finale is a different Variant who helped Loki turn the tide. It seems that it will take much convincing from Loki and Mobius for Hunter B-15 to be on their side again.

6.) TVA Archivist (Ke Huy Quan)

Ke Huy Quan is set to make his MCU debut as the TVA's archivist in Loki Season 2. The first footage from D23 revealed his own distinct office space, giving new trinkets to Loki and Mobius.

Ke Huy Quan's character could be the key to finding how the TVA works on the technological side of things.

7.) Casey (Eugene Cordero)

Eugene Cordero's Casey had a minor role in Loki Season 1, but he was confirmed to receive more screen time in Season 2 since he was bumped to a season regular status.

It's possible that Casey will end up on the side of Loki and Mobius, helping the pair against the Kang Variant that they will be facing in the upcoming adventure.

8.) Miss Minutes (Tara Strong)

Tara Strong confirmed her return as Miss Minutes in Loki Season 2, and it is expected that the TVA mascot will have another major role ahead.

Season 1 revealed that Miss Minutes is in cahoots with He Who Remains, with her being aware of the TVA's leader and his secrets. Given that the finale resets everything, it will be interesting to see if Miss Minutes is an ally of the Kang Variant that Loki and Mobius will be dealing with.

9.) Rafael Casal's Marvel Character

When Rafael Casal was first reported to join the cast of Loki Season 2, little was known about his MCU character. However, set photos revealed that the actor was wearing a TVA jumpsuit, indicating that he's a prisoner of the organization.

10.) Kang Variant/s (Jonathan Majors)

Loki Season 2 is rumored to include multiple Kang Variants, meaning that Jonathan Majors is set to return. Still, the actor popping back up isn't surprising, considering that his Kang is vital to the TVA's time travel shenanigans.

Given that Loki is aware of the overarching threat of Kang, it's possible that Season 2 could center around him alongside Mobius and a reformed Sylvie to track down as many Kang Variants as they can and find out if they are aware of the Multiversal War that He Who Remains mentioned during the Season 1 finale.

In fact, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has confirmed a key Variant who will meet Loki and Mobius in Season 2.

11.) Kate Dickie's MCU Character

Kate Dickie will also make her MCU debut in Loki Season 2, but her character is still unknown.

A past report may have indicated that Dickie could end up playing Season 2's villain. Some have theorized that the actress is portraying an older Sylvie due to her resemblance to Sophia Di Martino.

A previous rumor then revealed that Dickie is using former TVA agents gone rogue to prune the new timelines that resulted from Sylvie having killed He Who Remains in Season 1's finale.

LOKI SERIES - SEASON 2 / BLOOPERS REELS (2023)

While we're still mourning the loss of Loki after its big ending, that doesn't mean that it's completely over just yet. In fact, Loki, along with some of your other Disney faves, are getting some brand new new looks thanks to their upcoming home releases.

Cosmopolitan has an exclusive featurette from the new collector's edition steelbook of Loki season 2, which is set to be released on December 3. One of the best parts about owning a copy of your favorite TV show and movie is getting to watch some of the behind-the-scenes moments that you can't watch anywhere else. And while we got to see a bit of what went down in Assembled: The Making of Loki Season 2 documentary, there's some parts that still didn't make it including the iconic gag reel that will definitely help heal your heart a bit after the show's emotional ending.

From Owen Wilson accidentally saying Mobius when referring to Loki to all the amazing dances that went down on set, we're actually insanely jealous that we weren't there to witness this all firsthand. At least we know that they had some fun while making the season.

Can we talk about how disappointed Ravonna and Mobius look while being ignored by their boyfriends?

these days a lot of romance in books, TV, and film leave me a bit cold, which sucks as a lover of romance. there has to be something ~interesting there for me. I've been watching the day of the jackal and it's pretty entertaining so far. but the one thing I haven't quite been able to wrap my head around is jackal's love for his wife, nuria. the show clearly wants us to believe he truly loves her, even if he can't shed his assassin skin and lies like crazy to her. he spies on her. he dreams about her. he thinks about her constantly. even more so than the baby which I (and the show apparently) regularly forget exists.

the chemistry between eddie redmayne and ursula corbero isn't necessarily the issue even though it is middling. ursula certainly does the best with what she's got, which isn't much. but I always struggle when shows place us in an established marriage or relationship and tells the audience how much the two characters love each other, without really being convincing of why they go to the lengths they do because of this love. the jackal is a sociopath with a hundred different faces (though we spend quite a bit of time with him in his true face). he has no qualms whatsoever about killing innocent people to accomplish his objectives. that's established within 20 minutes of the very first episode. so what does it take for this murderer-for-hire to fall in love? why should we be so convinced of this cold-blooded killer's love for his wife? what is it about her that made him fall in love? and vice versa? the show doesn't even try to make us second guess this love. on some level, I'd be obsessed with a suave killer brought to his knees by a woman to the point where he starts a family with her. the deception, the two separate lives, the cat and mouse of it all. but everything about them is spectacularly bland.

throughout the series nuria is constantly questioning who she fell in love with. but who did she fall in love with? in episode 7 we get flashbacks of their first meeting, at a restaurant where jackal is a regular and where nuria works as a waitress. she's hot and vivacious and effortlessly charming. he's a mysterious loner who seems sweet. jackal takes a shine to her and later asks her on a date, to which she immediately says yes. and that's it. that's pretty much all of the flavorless context we have for their relationship. we're simply supposed to believe they fell in love with each other. she doesn't even make him work for the date. there's no push and pull there. she's not even a calculating golddigger or anything, just completely guileless. our favorite sociopath fell in love because she's just that charming? our charming waitress falls for this boring and rich-looking foreigner and that's it? and then we're told that she's completely trusting of him up until the ~turning point. ok. I don't believe the show is trying to pull wool over our eyes. they very much want us to believe there's love there. but there's just nothing convincing me of why these two characters love each other. this failmarriage is of no interest to me.

otoh, the connection jackal has with zina is compelling and sexy. this mysterious corporate shark archetype of a woman who dared to meet an assassin in person. who went to bat for this assassin even when her bosses were not convinced he was the man for their goals. who broke into this assassin's temporary lodgings and withstood his menacing energy. who wasn't afraid to yell and put pressure on this scary assassin. I'd be more obsessed if the actress was better at acting and there was actual chemistry between her and eddie. alas.

otooh, there is ALSO serious messy romantic potential with bianca. also a sociopathic liar. also a married woman (who we're also supposed to believe loves her husband. lol.) with a child. a woman who will do anything to catch jackal. a woman who has no qualms about using innocent people who get killed in the process (even if she does feel some degree of guilt about it). like the parallels are allll there. but she's black and we all know how that goes. in another series jackal would be intrigued and also as obsessed with this mi6 agent who somehow always finds him. sigh.
