you guys must be fucking joking about challengers. like. admit to it, you were all doing a bit and pretending to like it. i was trying not to be a professional hater these days and this movie fucking disintegrated all my good intentions. the plot is useless and entirely predictable, which isn't important, a movie can be predictable and good, but they specifically choose a non linear storytelling... just to make the whole thing predictable?? it doesn't make sense?? also, sorry to be the harbringer of bad news, but someone needs to tell the truth: zendaya is a shit actress compared to the other two. no i won't elaborate on that, but i can point out to her "trying to appear horny" look she does, with the eyes roll and the lip quiver/bite, which is so unnatural and fake and it almost made me laugh. but hey, maybe that's the whole vibe of the movie, cause the entire thing is sexless. it's not just literally sexless, but metaphorically too. so long for the "tennis is not just a sport, it's about the relationship between the opponents" movie. they made a whole ass movie about the metaphor and you still end up asking yourself where the hell is the mental fucking. the only good thing was the stunning caetano veloso song but hey, unfortunately you don't get points for picking a good song.
