Hey locals/people who are familiar with it.
What fruit/juice/items do you add to canned soupsop/guanabana or tamarindo juice?
I only have bananas, milk, acai smoothie concentrate, rambutan, blueberries though on hand right now open to other easy to find fruits. Scored these in stop & shop of all things in Massachusetts area
(I also found Poppin bobba there!)

I’ve had some successes in reverse-engineering food and drinks inspired from my travels in the past, but this might be the most spot-on. I loved all of the drinks that we enjoyed at La Factoría in Old San Juan, but the one that intrigued me most is the guanabana milk punch. I love making milk punches over the holidays--I like that they aren’t as strong as regular cocktails, so I don’t feel bad sipping on them over an afternoon while cooking in the kitchen.
Figuring out how this cocktail works took me on a bit of a deep-dive that I’ll get into on the blog proper, but I’m really glad I made the effort because sipping on the final product was so damn satisfying--my husband immediately remembered the drink when he took a sip, so I’ll have this up soon so you can add it to your holiday libations.

The Complete Guide to Growing Peaches
We should always be careful of the climate when we plan to plant peaches. Growing peaches is a delightful experience as it lets you enjoy the juiciest and yummiest fruits directly from your garden. Do you wonder why people are so fond of peaches? This is because peaches are high in nutrition and are pleasing to the eyes.
This peach tree planting guide will help you learn how to grow peach trees successfully. You’ll understand how to pick the best spot to plant and care for your trees properly. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or a beginner, this guide will give you the knowledge you need to grow your peach trees.
How to Grow Peach Trees?
Choose the Right Kind of Variety
Choosing the right peach variety is essential for successful growth. There are many types of peaches available. At first, you should choose between freestone and clingstone peaches. Freestone peaches have flesh that easily comes from the pit, making them great for fresh eating. On the other hand, clingstone peaches have flesh sticks to the pit and are often better for canning and cooking.
Location
Another important step is choosing the right location to grow your peach tree. You should choose a location that easily gets at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. Proper sunlight will result in optimal fruit production and better growth. The soil should be well-drained, ideally sandy loam or clay loam. Also, the trees should get enough air, so make sure that your trees are planted in good air circulation areas.
Soil
Make sure that you have well-drained soil to grow peach trees. You can even add compost around the tree to keep the soil healthy.
Watering
Regular watering of the peach plant is essential, especially in the first two years. The soil of the peach trees should be moist as it helps the tree to grow healthy and fast.
Fertilizing
When plants begin to grow, in about 6-8 weeks, make sure to fertilize them with a balanced fertilizer. Nitrogen fertilizer is considered to be a good fertilizer for the proper growth of plants. Do not use it when the plant is young as it can hamper its growth.
Types of Peach Trees
Peach trees come in different types. Let us move further and understand its various types:
Clingstone
These peaches are considered to be the juiciest and sweetest. The pit is well attached to the flesh and does not easily fall out.
Freestone
The pit of the freestone peaches gets easily removed and people prefer it for fresh eating.
Semi-Freestone
There’s also a third variety that combines qualities of both freestone and clingstone peaches. These peaches have a pit that’s easy to remove like a freestone with the juicy sweetness of a clingstone.
Ornamental Peach Trees
Some peach trees are cultivated primarily for their ornamental value. The ‘Flowering Peach’ trees, such as ‘Peach Blossom’ and ‘Red Leaf’, produce stunning pink blossoms in spring but are less fruit-bearing.
Dwarf Peach Trees
Dwarf varieties such as ‘Bonanza’ and ‘Pix Zee,’ are perfect for smaller spaces or containers. They grow to about 3 to 5 feet tall and produce fruit similar to standard-sized varieties.
Where to Grow Peach Trees?
You all might wonder that where are peach tree growing zones. Do not worry. We are here to guide you on how peaches grow and where peach trees grow best.
Climate
The ideal climate for peach trees includes warm summers and cold winters, ensuring they receive the necessary chill hours for optimal fruit production. Peach trees grow well in moderate temperatures. Therefore, regions with summer and cold seasons are ideal for growing peach trees.
Soil Requirements
Peach trees require well-draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Sandy loam is the most favorable type of soil, as it retains moisture without becoming waterlogged. So opting for this type of soil can make your peach trees grow well.
Sunlight
The location plays an important role in the planting of the peach trees. They require at least 7-9 hours of direct sunlight to grow strong. Choose an area that is free from shade cast by buildings or larger trees. Adequate sunlight is essential for photosynthesis and fruit production.
Watering
Regular watering is essential for fast growth in peach trees. Make sure to give them deep watering rather than shallow watering. Consistent moisture in the trees is essential, especially during the dry seasons.
Pest and Disease Management
Peach trees can face several pests and diseases. Common problems include peach tree borers and peach leaf curl. To manage these issues, use pest management. This approach involves regularly checking your trees, using natural treatments, and attracting helpful insects to protect them.
Final Thought
Planting a peach tree can be beneficial in your garden because it not only provides the juiciest fruits but also enhances the overall appearance of your garden. It is important to follow these steps and take good care of your peach trees to make them grow strong and healthy.
Planting a peach tree outdoors will be able to give the tree enough sunlight to make it grow well. Whereas, planting a peach pit indoors can make your tree grow but the taste of the fruit may not be as good. So, choose the location wisely!

I want to try all the fruits I've never tried before. My gf is going to bring me home a persimmon from the grocery store that's got a better selection of produce than the others cuz I think I tried one once when I was a kid but I don't remember what it tasted like. I wanna try guava and guanabana and paw paw and and and. I have a friend who's from Brazil and sometimes he tells me about fruits they have there and I want to try them so bad!! If I had unlimited money I would travel the world trying fruit from different places. Tropical fruits tend to make me sick but I want to try them all anyway.
