Does anyone remember the Gruffalo?

I used to read it to my little sister all the time before bed. I’d read it in those silly little voices she loved and would even recite parts of it from memory as a show of my affection and appreciation. I couldn’t find it tonight. I was sad though she hadn’t requested it. I just felt a need to see that mouse and read the words. To feel those thick child like pages and appreciate the art and story. Its cover was torn and peeling from years of use and nights of storytelling.
