the biggest crime the 100 ever committed was not having a SINGLE (1) group shot of all of Spacekru together

listen. 6 years is plenty of time for characters to change and grow in different directions, of course bellamy (and co) and clarke are gonna be out of sync. of course they're going to have to get reacquainted with one another before they fall into step again, and we should maybe even expect a little conflict. it makes sense.
and in a broader sense it makes sense for the different groups to bond like they did when there's no one else around. spacekru is going to look out for each other and do their best planning when they're together because they spent 6 years pretty much inseparably. clarke is going to prioritize this kid because that's what she's been doing for half this girl's life. 6 years is long enough for loyalties to change, and that's what's interesting to me about season 5 all these years later: who are you loyal to and what has to happen for your loyalties to change?
talk of traitors and loyalties is all over the place this season. you can even see this amongst the mining group, divided between diyoza's and mccreary's followers. the 100 has always been about "protecting my people" and what leadership means, but season 5 feels more about what happens when we get subgroups and shifting allegiances. and it's an interesting conversation to have! it makes sense!
but what doesn't make sense is this show's lack of understanding of how.... long? it takes for a Culture to develop? 6 years isn't long enough for wonkru to be like... That. a century isn't long enough for the grounders to be like That either. i get that it was ~a dark time~ but i don't think people would lose their agency and follow this teenager so blindly and stupidly after just a couple years. so while the question of loyalty is an interesting one, i think they really fumbled with it and sort of lost their train of thought because it really ended up going nowhere.

As curious as I am after finishing s2 about their intentions for pope and cleo in season 3 I’m honestly more curious about where they are going with kie and cleo. I think they’ll clash (at least at first) and there was def tension when they met but they could really do anything with that relationship. I hope they become good friends though, I see a lot of similarities so far.
I’m really excited to see them too! Tbh Cleo and JJ aswell because we haven’t seen how that dynamic will play out and I think they’ve like leave heaps in common too!
What I’m kinda worried about is whatever time jump they have while on pogulandia we are not going to see those bonds formed - it will mostly be implied I think (like echo with spacekru but not as bad). But I hope we still get to see them be close.
I think I still want to see Sarah with Pope and JJ too. Because even though Sarah is a confirmed pogue and part of the group we haven’t really seen those character interact and have relationship on their own.
I hope the pates we’re lying when they said s3 was going to slow down a bit a focus on relationships. I am worried about that because of a few things Cline said about the action

murphy turned quickly at the sound of his name coming from a familiar voice. seeing echo made him smile. out of everyone that he knew, murphy wanted to be reunited with spacekru the most. they were his people. a group he finally belonged to and felt he had a place in. until of course, he got in his own mind again. but once they had returned to earth from the ring, the safety of that group was all that was important to him. not clarke or wonkru. with the exception of abby. "thank god you remember me," he said in response to them, still not over the fact emori didn't know who he was. "oh, you know, just some cockroach hole," he smirked at the running joke. "and you? coping on this new functional earth society?"

“Murphy!” In the place of their usual stoic, emotionless expression, a very small but happy smile grew on Echo’s face. They had been trying to find the rest of Spacekru ever since they got here, with no luck until now. “Where the hell have you been hiding?”

they tell you grief is like a tidal wave they do not tell you that you will wake up and reach for their smile only to find a blank space where their mouth should be they do not tell you that your clothes will smell like earth and honey and sunshine that weapons will be fashioned out of memories you didn't know you had they do not tell you about the whatifwhatifwhatifs or the sudden realization you will never know their face with age which hits you over supper, on a tuesday, three months later they tell you that time heals everything they do not tell you that forgetting hurts worst of all
grief is not seven stages, it is a hundred on repeat

The Mackson campfire scene will always be one of my favorite scenes. Also Echo and Bellamy talking, and Echo trying to convince Bellamy to talk to Miller. Just the whole campire scene in general until they were running for their lives.
yep yep! i love that they had the time to wind down and relax for a quick second before all that madness started. tbh i was just so excited for mackson to have alone time together and have an honest conversation. we finallyyy got a peek into their relationship and the minds of their characters <3
and yes, i also loved echo going “he kept your sister alive” (or something along those lines) to bellamy :) him and miller are bffs, i love that for them

This video has been in my drafts for ages and I finally finished it. Spacekru remains one of my favorite things the 100 ever did, and I wish I had been able to stay invested in the last two seasons purely because of them. If only we had had more time with some of the best dynamics the show ever set up.

Octavia and Bellamy. In a heartbeat. Is that out of spite? Maybe. It just really bothers me how he hounds her over the Dark Year when if he or Clarke were there, I highly doubt they would've pulled a non-existent solution out of thin air. They literally had no choice and nobody liked doing it, least of all Octavia.
There's also the circumstances that Bellamy fails to appreciate, for everyone not just Octavia. Bellamy had 6 years with Spacekru, forming a close-bonded family and they seem to have had a relatively nice time up in the ring overall. Whereas Clarke had different circumstances, and Octavia's circumstances were even more different. Clarke was completely on her own for a while before finding Madi and picking through the rubble of the apocalypse to try and survive. Octavia at the age of 17 was left in charge of, for all she knew, the last of the human race. 1,200 people who do not get on, some who wanted to kill each other, and just two years into living in the bunker, the Dark Year happens. Octavia was 19 facing the worst choice any character has ever had to make on that show. And Bellamy just loves to hold that over her head.
In my opinion, though, if Bellamy were there in the bunker he would go the same way as Kane. If Clarke were there, she would have done pretty much the same as Octavia. That doesn't change if they're both there together. The real hot take, potentially, is how fast Bellamy might have forgiven Clarke.
Bringing it back to the point though with Octavia in Bellamy's place. I think the group would've managed fine. It's nicer for Octavia there than in the bunker. But she absolutely would not have allowed Echo to come with them, the others would've had to stick up for her. That could've been some interesting development for Octavia and Echo, assuming Echo doesn't get left behind and that they could put their differences aside.

Why WHY W H Y there are people acting like it's absurd or ooc for Bellamy to be pissed at Murphy? He was willing to help Josephine >MURDER< (!!!!!) Clarke. It's one thing for him to side with Josie when he thinks that Clarke is dead, I mean, she's already gone, so what's really the point? But he knows that she's alive and that there is a chance to get her back and still his first instinct is to help killing her once for all???? Fuck off 🖕🏽

What part of “Echo kom Azgeda kom Spacekru stayed with Emori because she loves her and was worried for her” is so difficult to understand?

Conversation
me a couple years ago: polyshipping is kind of an outlier for me. it requires all the dynamics involved to offer something I like, *plus* an independent & unique one of all the characters involved, /together/.
me now: so the spacekru had orgies every two sundays-
