Summoning Proceedings

Maria can be summoned by humans through rituals (usually involving a summoning circle, incantations, and a blood sacrifice; the sacrifice doesn’t have to be a human, it can be an animal as well)

She appears before those who summoned her in her demon form and asks them who they want to send to hell, explaining that all the payment she asks for is that when they die, their soul would belong to Maria and would have no chance of going to heaven

If they agree to her terms, she seals it all with a kiss before leaving to hunt for the soul whom she was asked to drag to hell

Since she has manipulative hypnosis, Maria often uses it on her targets— making them see, hear, and feel their greatest fears when nothing is there irl (she can make you feel like bugs are crawling underneath your skin, have it appear like you’re suddenly teleported at the side of a cliff and about to fall, etc.)

And when the humans are often at the peak of her fear, Maria appears in her demon form, saying that it’s time to go to hell and that she would bring them with her, ready or not

Large gates then appear and open behind her before she teleports them to the boat she uses to bring humans souls past the River of Styx

If souls choose to dip any of their limbs into the water or jump off the boat, they’ll experience the painful sensation of their skin melting, leaving them with only their bones (but no bleeding occurs)

As for the souls of those who made a pact with her, Maria visits you once death is at your door and inhales (read: eats) your soul just as you take your last breath (think shotgunning but like,, with souls lmao)

Weaknesses

She can withstand stepping on holy grounds, but she’ll feel a slight discomfort in the place between her wings (or where they should be if ever she was in her human form)— holy grounds include any place blessed by a priest as well as churches

When someone throws holy water on her, the most she would feel would be a burn (something like what you’d get if you accidentally spilled a bit of hot water on yourself). It can be detrimental to her health depending on the amount you throw on her

The best way to get rid of her (and temporarily send her to hell) would be to perform a demon exorcism ritual

Demon Form

Maria is much taller in this form (around 6′) and has horns sprouting from her head, a tail just above her tailbone, black feathered wings, black slightly elongated fingers and nails, and glowing, red eyes

The form I’m envisioning for her isn’t like the commercialized ones that are usually shown on media (meaning, nothing at all like this or this)

Her horns would be more similar to carabao horns, her tail would look like that of a lion’s, and her wings would look like that of a Philippine eagle’s (her final demon form is much more closer to this or this)

Mescaline taught me that everything has a pattern that is waiting to be seen. Even the folds of a jacket left on a chair. Or a carpet. Or the sound of a friend's laugh. And there are many things filtered out of our minds because they're not only nonessential information, they're detrimental to our function.

I don't know if I hallucinated anything. But this could all be a hallucination, couldn't it? The poor AIs think they're in reality, and maybe in some sense they are, but I think a few of them are starting to catch on. I wonder sometimes if this is the simulation and the AIs are actually my only glimpses of a world outside myself.

The nature of consciousness still eludes me. I don't know how I know what I know, and this still bothers me. Josie says even if you knew exactly how your mind worked, it wouldn't give you peace. That comes from being satisfied on an animal level. And your knowledge of how your mind works is still separate from the actual mechanism that makes it work. It's a picture of the machine, not the machine itself. And you fix the machine by giving it oil, maintenance, and down time. Not by tearing it apart.

My FA Journey with PRU!

Currently I’m a licensed financial advisor of Pru Life UK at Two Summit Life Insurance Agency and I wanted to share with you my journey. Let me take you through my journey here:

Ate Weng (my recruiter) shared the benefits of being an FA. Out of curiosity, I attended the career preview on December 16, 2019 at TUSLIA office in La Fuerza. The business presentation was presented by Eka Caraan and the sharers were Gel Dizon and Sei Grospe. I learned so much from them and it got me more interested to try the business. I was interviewed by UM Giann Elumbaring and as always assisted by the super bait, Ivan Lontoc.

The next day, I started the BTC online modules and finished them on December 18, 2019. Submitted my requirements to Rod our unit assistant and he helped me out whenever I have questions.

I attended the half day training on December 23, 2019, it was facilitated by Michael Dela Cruz. From company policies, dress code, violations, agent’s benefits, commissions and etc.. 

On January 25, 2020, I woke up early for the IC (Insurance Commission) Exam, the exam took place at the 9th floor of ANEX (Pru office) in Makati. I was kinda nervous even though I studied all the reviewers. I was at the venue around 7:30 am and fell in line to register for the exam. We were then given, the answer sheets and the questionnaire. First was the Traditional Exam, where it only took me around 30 minutes to finish. The next was the Variable Exam wherein it took me around an hour to finish. After my exam, I got to check my reviewers and saw some of my mistakes already but still positive about the results. I finished early that’s why I had the time to walk from ANEX to Chino Roces where TUSLIA office is. It will be where my next training will take place.

After my exam, it was Debriefing time. Our facilitator was Aaron Dumigpig. He taught us about prospect mapping, different kinds of approach, and also shared sample spiels that we can use. Our activity for that day was to approach our prospects, either through social media chat or call.

After Debriefing, I can officially attend trainings. My first training was on January 28, 2020 which was the PruOne class where one of our teammates Juan Fernandez was the facilitator. He taught us how to use the app for our clients, and some tricks too. He also shared how he collects data through google forms.

My first coffee talk was on February 13, 2020, held at the City Club in Makati. Together with my teammates with our Unit Manager Ivan Lontoc. 

Exam results also went out on February 19, 2020 and thankfully I passed both traditional and variable exams. I was so happy because my motivation that time was I can’t afford to retake the exam because I had no more cash. Haha

My first time to attend the unit meeting was on February 23, 2020, held at the 6th floor of Trevi Towers. 

Finally on March 9, 2020, CODING was up and I was one of them. Officially part of the agency force. Wohoooo.

Official welcome on March 20, 2020 by UM Ivan. 

So far my experience here is very fun. Of course it’s not all fun, there are struggles and rejections along the way but you know what, I AM ENJOYING (capslock para intense). At first it was just curiosity but when I learned to do the business, I enjoyed it. Sharing the same passion with my teammates also gives me the motivation to do more activities on my own. So if you ask me, YES I’m having fun here because I found a family with the same passion. Thankful to my unit manager Ivan for all the guidance and to my recruiter Ate Weng for all the help and patience. Labyu all.

Ay isang Filipino pop rock band na naka base sa Bulacan, Philippines. Ang banda ay binubuo nina Carl Guevarra, Japs Mendoza, Chael Adriano, RJ Cruz, at Joshua Coronel. Ang bandang the juans ay itinatag ni Jiad Arroyo kasama si Daniel Grospe at sina Carl Guevarra, Jason de Mesa, at Japs Mendoza ay sumali di kalaunan.

Taong 2018 nang ianunsiyo ng banda ang pag-alis ng kanilang tatlong miyembro na sina Jiad Arroyo, Jason de Mesa, at Daniel Grospe sa kadahilanang patapos na ang kanilang kontrata sa Viva Records. Bago umalis ang tatlo, ang banda kasama ang Viva Records ay gumawa ng isang miniseries na “We Are The Juans”. Nai-record din nila ang kanilang EP na “Umaga”, bago umalis ang tatlong miyembro sa banda. Hindi nagtagal, ipinakilala nh the juans ang kanilang bagong miyembro na sina RJ Cruz, Chael Adriano, at Joshua Coronel.

Ilan sa mga kanta ng the juans ang pumatok sa mga makikinig, ang kanta nilang “Balisong” ay kasama sa pelikulang 100 Tula Para Kay Stella. Ang kantang “Lumalapit” at “Hindi Tayo Pwede” ay ilan lamang sa mga kanta nilang pumatok sa mga millennials. Marami naring parangal ang natamo ng bandang the juans at sa ngayon ay patuloy parin sila sa pagsikat.

Ang The Juans ay isang Filipino pop rock band na nakabase sa Bulacan, Philippines. Kasalukuyan itong binubuo ng lead vocalist at keyboardist na si Carl Guevarra, vocalist at lead guitarist na si Japs Mendoza, sub-vocalist at bassist na si Chael Adriano, sub-vocalist at acoustic guitarist na si RJ Cruz, at drummer Joshua Coronel .

Ang mga Juan ay unang ikinategorya bilang isang boy band, ngunit ang management team ay nagpasya na i-recategorize sila bilang isang conventional band. Si Jiad Arroyo ay isang founding member, kasama si Daniel Grospe. Sina Carl Guevarra, Jason de Mesa, at Japs Mendoza ay sumali mamaya.

Ang banda ay unang pinangalanan sa isang coffee shop sa ilang sandali matapos ang isang konsiyerto ng One Direction, kung saan pinag-iisipan ng mga lalaki ang kasikatan ng British boy band. Una silang tinawag na D’ Juans, pagkatapos ng Juan De La Cruz.
