Pizza Panic
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Inconsistent cut for Betty's skirt.
One notable thing is this 1961 story gives us a rivalry between Pop Tate and a pizza parlour across the street owned by a Grimaldi. Unless you decide a pizza twirler in 1964 is the same character (referred to as "Joe", though) -- or a "Pete" who fills the same role as this story in 1967 (almost certainly others fit the bill, but I am looking for similar identical likeness here), he disappears after this story. But in 2000 a pizza maker across the street -- Segarini-- became a recurring fixture and regular irritant to Pop Tate in the pages of Archie's Pal Jughead from Craig Boldman and Rex W Lindsey. Feel free to ret-con some things.

have you ever heard of The Grimaldi Family Circus?
Actually I never heard of it before! After a quick browse check, i found their official site, which lead me to discover Grimaldi being a famous clown and entertainer in the Regency Era. They seem to be based in the U.S.A. and some results suggest that the current Grimaldi Family Circus' clowns partake in "hunts" towards fake clowns and/or terrible people such as perverts or p*dos which is awesome. No source mentioned these clowns ever adhering to the Clown Eating And Sipping Edict, which means their meat should not be available on the market. So sad I can't give you a review on them. They seem to be cool tho.

Patsy Grimaldi, Whose Title Turned Synonymous With Pizza, Dies at 93
Patsy Grimaldi, a restaurateur whose coal-oven pizzeria within the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge gained new followers for New York Metropolis’s oldest pizza model with fastidiously made pies that helped begin a nationwide motion towards artisan pizza, died on Feb. 13 in Queens. He was 93. His nephew Frederick Grimaldi confirmed the loss of life, at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens hospital. Mr.…
