only a few chapters 9 years ago that i don't remember much..

but i did watch the 97 anime series and the golden age movies(2012)!

Character I first fell in love with: This is legit gonna shock everyone probably but he’s what made me go 👀 to all of it and that character is the Wings of Darkness himself, Femto

Character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Maybe Guts. I’m usually not into the protagonists but Guts isn’t your average protag. He’s extremely flawed and makes bad decisions and can do bad things (even though the fandom doesn’t like to remember this and makes excuses for it) and I really do love him because he’s so different. Also, I so love the Godhand for as little as we know about them or see them (especially Femto and Slan)

Character everyone loves but I don’t: Casca. She doesn’t grab me at all. There are some interesting moments with her but I just don’t care

Character I love but everyone else hates: This goes without saying, but it’s of course Griffith who I guess (?) is considered to be one of the most hated anime characters and I just don’t know why. I mean I do know why but I can’t feel it myself because he’s just such an amazing character and there’s literally nothing I hate him for. People just hate him because they think it’s right to 🙄 If he were a woman he wouldn’t get half as much hate, he would be considered sympathetic. Like can some of y’all not read? I’ve never seen more bad takes on a character in my entire life

Character I used to love but don’t any longer: Not sure yet, I haven’t been into it long enough to have feelings change yet but I am reading the manga now so we’ll see

Character I would kiss: Griffisu! 🤍🤍🤍 The White Hawk

Character I want to slap: The King of Midland or that little piss ant torturer. Or maybe even Guts for leaving 😅

A pairing I hate: I’m not into Guts/Casca at all, I think they bring out the worst in each other and not in a charming way. Plus again I just don’t care for casca, I find her boring and the paring boring. Also, no Griffith so I’m immediately not interested 😊

As if Casca from Berserk wasn’t a horribly treated character in the first place, googling for a picture of griffisu has shown me how much she’s been whitewashed, by both fan and official works since the ‘97 anime.
