SEE: Electro-Pop | Goth Babe - “ Bioluminescence”
Tumblr media
Griffin Washburn aka Goth Babe is finally releasing his debut album Lola. Washburn created music eight years ago and no album but he carefully crafted his skills over the last eight years and the work is apparent. “Bioluminescence” starts up with what feels like he is taking us through a black hole into another galaxy. The song is other-worldly and transformative. Take a listen and look at the visualizer below: Read the full article

15-17 and 46 for the asks?
15. favorite song?
i Can Not and Will Not answer this question so i’ll give a few of the songs i’ve been listening to a lot lately lol
sometimes by goth babe
talking backwards by real estate
on the level by mac demarco
wasting my time by hannah cohen
work me, Lord/Kosmic Blues by janis joplin
show me by bobby sherman (i was jumping around & dancing to this the other day in one of my long floral button-ups & shorts and it was so fun lol)
16. favorite movie?
i think it might actually be Les Misérables (2012). i was really trying to find something else but i love that movie so much lol
17. who would be your ideal partner?
if this is asking about a specific person, i’ve been so fascinated by Griffin Washburn (the guy behind Goth Babe lol). like he travels all around and lives in his camper with his dog, sadie and he just surfs, camps, hikes, and makes music all the time and he’s doing what he loves. i think he’s so cute lol. but if this is about any ideal partner, i guess i would love to have a partner that has a heart like mine or something close to it if that makes sense. idk? i feel like i’m making this question more difficult than it needs to be lol. like an ideal partner for me would be someone who isn’t mean?? lol
46. what is your personality type?
honestly, idek lmao. i’d like to think that i’m very coordinated and super thoughtful/considerate/kind/gentle etc but i’ll have to take a personality test to actually see what it is lol
thank you, aidan!! i had a fun time doing this one 🌻

NBA DRAFT 2020 NOTES
·       The Minnesota Timberwolves made the first pick for the second time in franchise history, selecting Georgia’s Anthony Edwards. In 2015, Minnesota used the top pick to select two-time NBA All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns. ·       Edwards is the 13thcollege freshman selected with the top pick in the last 14 years. The last non-freshman to go first was sophomore Blake Griffin in 2009. ·       Edwards is only the second Georgia player to be selected in the top five of the NBA Draft, joining Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins, who was the third pick in the 1983 NBA Draft. ·       Edwards is only the fourth first-round pick out of Georgia since 1992, joining Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (8thin 2013), Jarvis Hayes (10thin 2003) and Jumaine Jones (27thin 1999). ·       The Golden State Warriors picked second (James Wiseman) for the first time in the common draft era. The Warriors have made the first pick twice since 1966: Joe Barry Carroll (1980) and Joe Smith (1995). Golden State has picked third four times in the common draft era: Clyde Lee (1966), Chris Washburn (1986), Penny Hardaway (1993) and Mike Dunleavy Jr. (2002). ·       Wiseman is Golden State’s highest selection since drafting Harrison Barnes with the seventh pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. ·       Wiseman is the first Memphis player selected in the draft since Will Barton was the 40thpick in the 2012 NBA Draft. ·       The Charlotte Hornets picked third (LaMelo Ball) for the third time in franchise history. The Hornets previously selected Baron Davis (1999) and Adam Morrison (2006) with the third pick. ·       LaMelo Ball spent the 2019-20 season in Australia’s NBL with the Illawarra Hawks and was the NBL’s Rookie of the Year. Ball is the brother of New Orleans Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball, who was the second pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. ·       LaMelo Ball and Lonzo Ball are the first pair of brothers in NBA history to each be selected in the top five of the NBA Draft. ·       Florida State’s Patrick Williams, the fourth pick by the Chicago Bulls, joins Hall of Famer Dave Cowens as the highest draft pick in Seminoles history. Cowens was the fourth pick in the 1970 NBA Draft.  ·       Williams is Chicago’s highest pick since selecting Derrick Rose with the first pick in 2008. The Bulls have had the fourth pick four other times: Tom Boerwinkle (1968), Kelvin Ransey (1980) Marcus Fizer (2000) and Eddy Curry (2001). ·       Auburn’s Isaac Okoro, the fifth pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers, is the Tigers’ highest draft pick since Chris Morris was selected with the fourth pick in the 1988 NBA Draft.
· Deni Avdija (Israel; Maccabi Tel Aviv) was selected 9th overall by the Washington Wizards, becoming the highest-drafted Israeli player ever and just the second Israeli player to be drafted in the first round (Omri Casspi, 23rd overall in 2009).
·       Avdija was named MVP of Basketball Without Borders Europe (BWB) 2018 and BWB Global 2019 and becomes the 10th former BWB camper to be drafted in the top 10 in the last five years. ·       Avdija’s father, Zufer, won a bronze medal with Yugoslavia at the 1982 FIBA Basketball World Championship and played professionally in Serbia and Israel. His mother, Sharon Artzi, is a former championship runner. ·       With Hayes and Avdija’s selections, at least two international players have been drafted in the top 10 in each of the last eight NBA Drafts.

Five minutes with ... Seiriol Davies
Which production that had the biggest impact on you?
I’m useless at having to choose one, so I’m not going to try! The musicals that my parents (Eleri Cwyfan and Gareth Glyn) wrote for children when I was really young, like Seren Newydd, were a huge influence, the Magdalen that Dad did with Glanaethwy. I have a lot of memories of musicals from Theatr Fach and Theatr Gwynedd and the Eisteddfod when I was younger – I remember something with Cefin Roberts in drag, with a wall being built across the middle of the stage, and the audience split in two, with each half watching the other half disappear – it all made me think what is ‘allowed’ to be done on stage.
That’s the theme that has the biggest impression: the things that project / extend / lengthen. Off the top of my head; Mr Burns by Anne Washburn in the Almeida had an amazingly cool structure, Eraritjaritjaka by Heiner Goebbels in the EIF (it started with a dollhouse on stage, and slowly, amongst other things a man, robots, camera crew, more robots, an orchestra, and a full-sized house emerged); Sam Mendes’ Cabaret in New York (the back of the stage demolishes at the end of the show and it breaks your heart!) and so on. Recently, I saw 24-Decade History of Popular Music by Taylor Mac in the Barbican, if you get a chance to see this, blimey, it’s brilliant: passionate, funny, crazy drag; that re-tells American history from the perspective of sub-cultures and rebels, using a mixture of lectures, drag, a noson lawen type evening and a game show. Flipping brilliant.
Anyway, one of those I suppose.
When creating / writing new content or a new production, what inspires you?
Anything can. Shows like I’ve mentioned. A good story. I really enjoy dealing with irony and the absurd, and the times when what we say is the total opposite of what we really think. So any news or story that brings out that narrative works for me.
I like to couple up the regular world with the highest levels of fantasy as well, so I love playing video games. Myths is something we created to make sense of the mundane, so why not bring both of them together again.
Also, you get the best costumes when you do that.
When I write I have to find something at its core that makes me uncomfortable: so I fight it alongside the characters. If I don’t do that, I find it hard to connect with the characters and the theme; I don’t think it’s possible; it all stay in the abstract and is soulless.
Like my next show, Milky Peaks, that will open after Covid-19, i started with the question of Welushness. I was raised as a Welsh Nationalist and Eisteddfotwr, to protect our ways no matter what, in a totally uncomplicated way. But then, I found out that Nick Griffin, the Holocoust denier and leader of the BNP at the time had moved to Wales and brought his children up speaking Welsh to avoid ‘Multi-cultural Britain’, because he identified with our fight of ‘us against the outsiders’. That hurt. So writing Milky Peaks was a process to try and work out the poison in the system out, by dealing with it.
Tumblr media
I should also mention that this show is a load of fun! All singing-all-dancing, glitter-coming-out-of-the-toilet, a fun night out. Working the poison out can be a riot!
Do you have anything exciting coming up? Be in the near future or when our theatres re-open?
So, as mentioned Milky Peaks will open in Theatr Clwyd and will tour Wales as soon as we can which is brilliant (we were about to open when the lockdown came!)
I have a few exciting things coming up as well, to me at least!
I’ve just finished writing a short show that is completely bonkers during lockdown, to be released online by HOME in Manchester and Lime Pictures called ActualQuest, which is a fantasy game that you play on your phone, inspired by fantasy games like Knightmare by ITV in the 90s, and brilliantly naff VHS board games like Atmosfear.
I’m working on a sexy, fierce and passionate version of Branwen as a musical with Cwmni’r Frân Wen, Hanna Jarman and Elgan Rhys that’s going to be ace, and still developing a drag show about the Orsedd, the Eisteddfod and Iolo Morgannwg, Corn Gwlad, with Elgan and Gethin Evans and the National Eisteddfod. We performed a version with a stunningcast in the Llanrwst Eisteddfod last year.
I’m also writing a musical with the actor and playwright Maxine Peake for the Royal Exchange in Manchester, which is a load of fun.
What would your advice be for young people who wish to work in the industry?
Try and be flexible, and try things. Even if it’s just to find that it’s not for you, you know through experience. Create, even if you think it’s crap, and share: you’ll learn something about yourself. There are more opportunities in the world if you can create your own opportunities, and the less you sit by the phone (or the modern equivalent ... sit by the internet?) waiting for someone to choose you, the better.
It’s bloody frustrating advice, I know, but don’t wait for permission – it’ll come late if it ever does come – find out what you want to do and how to get it accross. Learn from every experience. I did loads of cabaret before making my first show: you had to survive on stage for a night when you hadn’t prepared enough, and the audience is pissed and wants to be entertained, so you have to pull something out of the bag; it teaches you – you either succeed or don’t!
In the same way, filling grant forms or writing a marketing copy for your show, teaches you how to difine yourself and your voice. They’re never fun, but they’re worthwhile. And having a pint with someone who has an expertise in the industry that you don’t is always beneficial; playwright, musican, artist, marketeer... you’ll see things from a different perspective.
Keep open-minded; an honest, bright reaction to the world is a lot more interesting than an inward thinking opinion.
Help eachother; there are forces in society that have a way of making life harder for some than for others, it’s important that we do everything to undo those forces.
Oh, and where possible, don’t agree to work for somebody for free when they have the money. They shouldn’t get away with it.

ISTJ Fictional Tropes
Like anything in fiction there are always tropes. This include characters based on their MBTI. Now not all characters that are ISTJ fit into these exact tropes and many fit into multiple as you will note in the examples. The following are major tropes these ISTJ characters have a pattern of falling into and I think they help define their type as a whole in the big picture. Hopefully, this can be almost a quick cheat sheet at times when typing characters.
Traditional Leader
Tumblr media
These characters are what we think of as your typical leader. They are the ones you trust because they stick to their center, what they feel is right. They’re usually fiercely loyal. These leaders are service oriented. They don’t see themselves as in control, but as serving a role, one that would exist without them. One they choose out of some sense of responsibility or duty to uphold.
Examples: Commander Lexa (The 100), Captain Ray Holt (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Queen Elizabeth II (The Crown), Lord Eddard Stark (Game of Thrones), Stannis Baratheon (Game of Thrones), George Washington (Hamilton: An American Musical), Thorin (The Hobbit), Fergus (Pixar’s Brave), Theodon (The Lord of the Rings), Powhatan (Disney’s Pocahontas), Queen Catherine of Aragon (The Tudors), Kercheck (Disney’s Tarzan), King George (Once Upon a Time), Elsa (Disney’s Frozen and Once Upon a Time), and Rick Grimes (The Walking Dead).
Detective/Inspector
Tumblr media
Most of these character actually are cops, detectives, inspectors, but that is not exactly what this means. This trope for the ISTJ involves them being excited by their inferior Ne. They love to solve things methodically with Si-Te, but get excited by solving puzzles and investigating using their Ne. These types are interested in the truth and their duty to reveal the truth. They will often be willing to break the law/rules in order to uncover the truth. Their loyalty is to what their role upholds, not to people please. The ISTJ is self sacrificing and is okay being painted negatively if the result leads to the truth and justice.
Examples: Quentin Lance (Arrow), Mako (Avatar: Legend of Korra), Captain Ray Hold (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Barbara Gordon/Batgirl/Oracle (DC Comics), Joe Swanson (Family Guy), Tina Goldstein (Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them), Chloe Decker (Lucifer), Inspector Chester Campbell (Peaky Blinders), James Gordon (Gotham and DC Comics), Bonnie Winterbottom (How To Get Away With Murder), Sara Lance (Arrow and Legend of Tomorrow), Javert (Les Miserables), Shikamaru Naru (Naruto Shippuden), Bartholomew Rusk (Penny Dreadful), Anderson (BBC’s Sherlock), Jim Hopper (Stranger Things), Sam Winchester (Supernatural), Sheriff Stalinski (Teen Wolf), Nobuchika Ginoza (Psycho-Pass), and Rick Grimes (The Walking Dead).
Dutiful Soldier
Tumblr media
ISTJ characters that fit this trope are often soldiers, however, it isn’t a requirement to be part of this trope. These ISTJs are dedicated to a cause and remain personally connected and loyal to it. They are highly dependable in performing their duty, whatever that role may be. Their tertiary Fi, often influences them morally to be connected to a cause. They work hard and always follow through on a task. This isn’t about following rules created by a system blindly. These character follow a code and if that means breaking the rules to uphold a personal code, they will do it.
Examples: Allison Argent (Teen Wolf), Takashi Morinozuka (Ouran High School Host Club), Mulan (Once Upon a Time), Norrington (Pirates of the Caribbean), Fujitora (One Piece), Bartholomew Rusk (Penny Dreadful), Yamato (Naruto Shippuden), Mako Mori (Pacific Rim), Athos (BBC’s The Musketeers), Ardeth Bay (The Mummy Film Series), Li Shang (Disney’s Mulan), Mike Wazowski (Monsters, Inc.), Mameha (Memoirs of a Geisha), Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Marvel Cinematic Universe), Claire Temple (Netflix’s The Defenders Universe), Sebastian (Disney’s The Little Mermaid), Zazu (Disney’s The Lion King), Cogsworth (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast), Harry/Galahad (Kingsman: The Secret Service), Astrid (How To Train Your Dragon), Dr. Eric Foreman (House, MD), Legolas (The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings), Maximus (Gladiator), Brienne of Tarth (Game of Thrones), Riza Hawkeye (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood), Zoe Washburne (Firefly), Danny Pink (Doctor Who), Katana/Tatsu Toro (DC Comics), Starfire (DC Comics), Melinda May (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Jack Thompson (Agent Carter), Indra (The 100), Maggie Greene (The Walking Dead), and Alex Danvers (Supergirl).
The Specialist
Tumblr media
This ISTJ is a master of something. They are so focused and will know every fact about their specialization. Whatever they love is part of their identity, it is what defines them and the use of concrete sensing facts is what helps them relate to their interest. When an ISTJ character is dedicated to a passion, no one knows as much as they do about it.
Examples: Dr. Abigail Griffin (The 100), Hope Van Dyne (Ant-Man), Gray Fullbuster (Fairytail), Sheldon Cooper (The Big Bang Theory), Dr. Caitlin Snow (The Flash), Ross Gellar (Friends), Tatsu Toro/Katana (DC Comics), Riza Hawkeye (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood), The Swede (Hell on Wheels), Bill Weasley (Harry Potter Series), Doug Guggenheim (House of Lies), Hailey (Mozart in the Jungle), Ben Wyatt (Parks & Recreation), Homura Akemi (Madoka Magica), Uhura (Star Trek Film Series), Lt. Commander Data (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Edward Cullen (Twilight Saga), Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow), and Unalaq (Avatar: Legend of Korra).
Family-Oriented Center
Tumblr media
These characters deeply care for their family (not necessarily genetic) and are often found as the grounding center. They may not seem caring like their ISFJ counterparts, but these ISTJ characters are harsh defenders of their families and are often the character others rely on as a steady constant in their lives. When this steady constant falls, many times the family does as well. They are the foundation of their family unit.
Examples: Alexei Alexandrovich Karenin (Anna Karenina), Quentin Lance (Arrow), Ross Geller (Friends), Bob Belcher (Bob’s Burgers), Ned Stark (Game of Thrones), Fergus (Pixar’s Brave), Dean Forester (Gilmore Girls), Mallory Hanson (Grace and Frankie), Maximus (Gladiator), Sophie (Howl’s Moving Castle), Bagheera (Disney’s The Jungle Book), Theodon (The Lord of the Rings), Chloe Decker (Lucifer), Powhatan (Disney’s Pocahontas), Sun Bak (Sense8), Elinor Dashwood (Sense and Sensibility), Fiona Gallagher (Shameless), Red Forman (The 70s Show), Edward Cullen (Twilight Saga), Elena Gilbert (The Vampire Diaries), and Maggie Greene (The Walking Dead).
Zealot
Tumblr media
The Zealot ISTJ character is often being unwillingly controlled by their inferior Ne. They find the outer world with it’s constant change in meaning separate from their own deep, personal inner meaning is in conflict. They fear change and try to fight it with everything they have. If they admit that the world has this changing meaning outside of themselves they feel everything they believe in is threatened and are unable to cope with such conflict. They refer to their tertiary Fi for comfort and try to morally back their subjective perspective up with subjective judgement. Thereby fueling their own opinion and clinging to their personal identity, unchanging. Many ISTJ villains fall into this trope, but not all are villains. That is important to keep in mind.
Examples: Grinch (Ron Howard’s How The Grinch Stole Christmas), Alexei Alexandrovich Karenin (Anna Karenina), Claude Frollo (Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame), Sheldon Cooper (Big Bang Theory), Javert (Les Miserables), Ross Geller (Friends), Sam Healy (Orange is the New Black), Angela Martin (The Office), Elsa (Disney’s Frozen), P.L. Travers (Saving Mr. Banks), Dean Forester (Gilmore Girls), Lord Voldemort/Tom Riddle (Harry Potter Series), The Swede (Hell on Wheels), Nessarose (Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West Novel), Theo Galavan (Gotham), and Unalaq (Avatar: Legend of Korra).
The Cynic
Tumblr media
The ISTJ cynics are often mistyped because they don’t really believe in anything. They are often misread as ISTP to be honest. But the Cynic ISTJ is indeed, very ISTJ. They are some of the most ultimate realists, not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. They usually have life experiences of pain that has formed their perception of reality. Their dominant Si seeing the facts, not fanciful ideals. Their tertiary Fi not seeing or growing up with that feeling that they or anyone else is a special snowflake. They often are lost, without a cause, not trusting those with big ideals. They see things as they are and nothing more. They are the bluntest ISTJ filled with some of the most ironic humor. They are usually disappointed with their lot in life.
Examples: Mai (Avatar: The Last Airbender), Chas Chandler (Constantine), Helga Katrina Sinclair (Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire), Phantom Stranger (DC Comics), Gwynne (Galavant), Mad-Eye Moody (Harry Potter Series), Suzana Ayuwaza (Maid-Sama), Shikamaru Naru (Naruto Shippuden), Dinesh (Silicon Valley), and Princess Kwenthrith (Vikings).

Fictional Female Characters Meme
It’Rules: List ten of your favorite female characters in ten different fandoms and then tag ten people.
I was tagged by @kat-anni
This is probably wrong and I’m most likely missing everyone ever important to me because I fucking blanked on everything I’ve ever liked besides POI
1. Sameen Shaw from Person of Interest
Tumblr media
Making me choose between Root, Shaw, Carter, and TM is evil, they make up like half my list how fucking dare. I relate the most with Shaw and also she’s fucking bad ass, like how many neurodivergent, bad ass, woc characters who love to eat do you see? Like zero. She’s angry and violent and perfectly herself and I am in love with her as a character and a bit with her too ;D
2. Korra from Legend of Korra
Tumblr media
Korra just barely edged out Asami like, I love Asami but Korra is the character I wanted to see when I was little. She’s stubborn and strong and fights for herself and yeah she’s kind of a mess and she makes mistakes but like, she owns it and does her best to do good and follow her own path. Baby Last needed to see Korra as a child man.
3. Kenzi from Lost Girl
Tumblr media
I say this a lot and no one gets the reference. She might rank higher because I’m rewatching Lost Girl right now, but honestly, I fucking love her. Like, look at this human in the Fae world not backing down and fighting with and for her friends, I must protect this child <333333333 I fucking watched the last bit of the episode to find the quote but “You are weak, pathetic, and you need glasses. It’s a miracle you’ve survived this long, Kenz. You just might be the strongest person I have ever met” It was a v touching scene after a comedic episode okay
4. Alison Hendrix from Orphan Black
Tumblr media
She’s my favourite seestra, Alison is what I would aspire to be if I was a white suburban mom, like #goals. I am not white, and probably never be a mom, but god do I want to be that level of petty and vidictive and fierce and creative with my child’s pta shit and just, ugh, my heart. Also she’s a bamf and fucking murdered Ainsley because she thought she was her monitor but didn’t bother to get confirmation before just letting her fucking die in front of her, like holy shit, I love this woman.
5. Angela Montenegro from Bones
Tumblr media
I spent a good chunk of my life watching Bones, and while I’m definitely more Bones than Angela, Angela was always like my goal. Like she fucking made her own shit to fucking solve crimes! Like she just fucking wanted to paint in Paris man, but here she is, making computer simulations of MURDER instead! And just the whole scene about her job is important because she gives back the victim’s face, she humanizes them and just, ugh, my heart,  you were such a good <3
6. Rosa Diaz from Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Tumblr media
I have a thing for slightly violent, angry women who could kick my ass, what can I say? She is #goals, like I want the level of secrecy she has with her friends. Do they even know her birthday?! Some of my friends know my birthday sadly. I also wanna kick ass, wear a leather jacket, and ride a motorcycle.
7. Zoe Washburne from Firefly
Tumblr media
Another woman second in command for no real reason because she’s way more competent than Mal, like honestly, give me my spin off show about her dammit.
8. Zelda from Legend of Zelda
Tumblr media
I want a whole fucking game about what tf Zelda did as Sheik for the time Link was fucking stuck in the Temple of Time like, I fucking bet she was part of the fucking resistance and helping the people of Castle Town escape and shit, like, they’ve given her more and more credit in the newer games, she’s no longer this damsel in distress because she was caught by Ganon but fucking fighting and saving her people and trapped with him and just, give my child her own damn story man. She deserves more!
9. Clarke Griffin from the I’m still fucking bitter and the show doesn’t deserve to be named
Tumblr media
I tried to find a gif of her stabbing Finn, but I got this instead. I know she’s like barely in here, but I really enjoy seeing this. I have no clue what happens after 307 and what choices she makes and what not, but from the pilot to that point in time I have a soft spot for her, like she follows her own moral compass instead of the rules and gets sent to earth, tries to keep everyone alive and kills a bunch of people, she stabbed Finn, she makes a lot of choices that fuck her up and just, I love her. Raven was a close second and then Lexa if you’re curious on that ranking.
10. Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca from Final Fantasy 12
Tumblr media
The person my URL is partially named after barely made the list OTL She’s a fucking bamf okay, like her life turned shit and she just wants peace for her people and to live her fucking life like hers is the story I want for Zelda....actually it’d make for a really good AU crossed with BotW since Link was temporarily killed..................I need a lot of money to commission this......but like holy fuck think about it!
If you wanna do the thing cool beans if not cool beans too! @finickyfox, @pictureswithboxes, @mayicee, @asleepinawell, @like-all-good-lions, @adcfearsthewalkingdead
