Neste vídeo, falo sobre a saúde mental dos tutores/donos de cachorros, sejam eles adotados ou comprados. A nossa expectativa sobre o dog e sobre como esperamos que ele impacte positivamente a nossa vida (o que nem sempre acontece) também fazem parte desse importante – e tão pouco abordado – tema. Minha ideia é falar sobre as coisas boas sobre ter um cachorro na nossa rotina, mas também sobre as dificuldades que a ‘vida real’ traz, e como a nossa visão ‘idealizada’ dos doguinhos pode atrapalhar o processo.

Momo is back from the wonderful bone artist (Allison Doty) who made her memorial for me. I’m not really an ashes person but also wanted to have something to keep and remember Momo. Everything that she was came from inside this skull and I am so happy to have this piece, and her back home with me. You can also see the neat pathology of her open fontanel (skull soft spot) that never closed up normally.
