Christmas time was most people’s favorite time of the year,The decorating,The chilly weather and the presents from Santa were always the best.

It would your first Christmas with Simon.You had one main goal for the night was to steal a kiss from him underneath the mistletoe.

You and him never really had your first real kiss yet,The two of you rarely saw each during the week because of school and important day to day life things.

You realized you guys never kissed when all your friends were talking about their first kisses with their partner but when it came to you,You were completely stumped.

It wasn’t like Simon didn’t want to kiss you,he really did but could never find a proper time to.You always wanted to make the first move but just when your about to lean in,he either has to go or you chicken out.

Well that was gonna change this year as you made it to it number one goal to kiss Simon underneath a mistletoe.You went out a day before Simon was supposed to come over which would be on Christmas Eve.

You went to your local store and was able to snag one early in the morning since most people are still sleep by the time the store was first open.

You smile at the store clerk who rings you up.You notice a tube of your favorite mint chapstick.You grab it before handing it to the girl behind the counter who happily scans it.

“Busy morning for you I guess?I never seen someone come this early”The girl speaks up as she bags your two items before tossing in a candy cane.

“I had to get in some early shopping before everyone woke up and the store became crowded”You say while pulling out your card.

The girl nodded,Watching you carefully swipe your card.”You know,Mint chapstick and a mistletoe?Let me guess trying to kiss a certain someone underneath it”The girl asked while watching your receipt print out before ripping it off the machine and placing it in the bag and pushing the bag towards you.

“My boyfriend,It’s our first Christmas together and I just wanted to have a special moment in it”You say while grabbing the bag,Smiling at the clerk.she just nodded before giving you a small smile back.

The walk back home was pretty quiet.most people were still sleeping or just didn’t wanna go out yet.you were a little nervous for tomorrow.what if it doesn’t go well? What if he doesn’t wanna kiss or even worse…what if he hates your mint chapstick.

You loved this brand of chapstick not only because the smell and taste isn’t too strong and it leaves your lips feeling soft and smooth.Of course,Your thoughts were interrupted when you almost walked past your own house.

Once you were inside,You tossed the bag on the couch while taking your coat off and hanging it on the rack.Your main plan was to prepare the mistletoe and to work on Simon’s gifts.You had gotten him some new cds,a new hoodie and a bottle of cologne.

Nothing to fancy just some things you knew he wanted.You went to your room and got changed into a comfy pair of pajamas and got to work.Setting up the mistletoe to was pretty easy.You knew the best place to put it was the hallway leading to your bedroom and other rooms.

The next things were to wrap his gifts.You got on the pretty black and grey wrapping paper and sat down on the floor,You grabbed a pair of scissors and some tape before turning on a Christmas movie.

You forgot how hard it is to wrap gifts but managed to get most of them wrapped.once you were done you slid them underneath your nicely decorated tree.You smile as you stand up and clean up.You didn’t the time as you look and see it would be around the time you would make dinner.

You didn’t feel like making anything big and just settled on a cup of noodles.finishing up your movie and your food you sat on your couch thinking about Simon’s reaction to his gifts.

You knew he would love them mostly because you’ve caught him staring at them when you guys went out.you stare at the now empty cup before placing it on your coffee table and changing the channel to something else.

You ended up falling asleep while watching a random kids show.You didn’t even clean up your mess or anything as you were too tired to even get up.

By the time you did wake up,It was around 8 and Simon was supposed to be there around 10.You silently cursed to yourself as you shot up off your couch and started to pick up your trash.

You took a small shower,Nothing too fancy as you still needed to clean up your room.Once you were out the shower and were in clean pajamas you put things back in their proper place in your room.

You made up your bed and put everything back in the proper place before you heard a small knock on your front door.You looked at the clock to see it was 10:15.You didn’t worry too much as you got most of the chores you needed to do done.

You rushed to the front door,Your Santa slippers you bought squeaking slightly and you took a peak out the peephole and nearly let out a squeal as you undid the locks on your door and threw yourself at Simon,Wrapping your arms around him as he let out a small chuckle while patting your back.

“You missed me?you just saw me like two days ago”He said while walking in while you followed behind and closed your door.”two days?it felt like forever…”You say dramatically as you redo the locks.

Simon rolled his eyes slightly before plopping on your couch and sighing.”I like your tree,My mom hasn’t put ours up mostly because of how much of a hassle it is putting it up and taking it down”he said while leaning his head on the armrest staring up at you.

You shrug while shuffling to the kitchen.”I mostly keep mine up until I have the energy to take it down.”You say while looking in the fridge.You felt your stomach do flips as you grab a coke from the fridge and pop it open and take a small sip before closing your fridge and turning around.

You looked at the mistletoe hanging above the hallway before looking at Simon who was busy staring at the television,Watching the Christmas program on it.

Your eyes flicked through the two before giving yourself a small pep talk in your head about how easy it would be.

You move out of the kitchen into the hallway before positioning yourself underneath it.”Simonnn”You called out while rocking back and fourth on your feet.he turned his focus to you before making a small confused face.You motion him to come towards you which he does with a small groan.

“What is it?”He asks while placing his cold hands on your waist which made you get all giddy inside before you looked up,His eyes following also before you felt his grasp on your waist get tighter before looking back down at you.

“I wanted our first kiss to be special!so I went out a bought a mistletoe yesterday.”You say while wrapping your arms around his neck.You were a little bit scared to lean in until you saw Simon slowly start to lean in,You followed his lead before you felt his chapped lips press up against your much more smoother ones.

You closed your eyes as you pressed your lips harder.You felt your heart beat a bit faster and your head spin a little.you felt Simon’s grip on your waist get tighter before he pulled away.

“Was that good?”He asked while pulling away a little more.You nodded as you into his brown eyes before smiling.”It was perfect”You say while twirling a piece of his hair around your finger.”are you wearing mint chapstick?it tastes kinda nice…wait that sounds kinda weird”Simon rambled on before slightly cringing at the last thing he said.

You just giggle before shaking your head.”I actually bought it just for this occasion,I’m glad to know you like it.”You say while placing a small kiss on the corner of his lips.

The Christmas season had gotten a whole lot better as you spent the rest of the day making cookies,listening to music and watching the Christmas program that was set for that night.Now the next time you hung out with your friend and the mention of first kisses is brought up you have a good story to tell.

So I know this might not be art or a oneshot, but the actual art takes a bit of a while, so here get this for the first day before I make you suffer with my art practice.

Lydia Yuina Rune is a girl who has been reincarnated ten times, with Twisted Wonderland being her 11th life. Her soul is weak, not dead enough to die, but not strong enough to have a good life. She has dead and shineless eyes and her emotions are practically nonexistent, one state she is in constantly is being tired.

She is diffrent from the in game Yuu, starting with what the mirror said:

In the game its mentioned that Yuu's soul has no shape, no colour.

In Lydia's version the mirror just denies she has a soul and the reason no one wonders about that is because Grim caused way to great of a chaos for such a thing to be remembered.

Lydia's soul is because of that also to weak to fence of ghost, so everyone with some mild knowledge of possession could easily get her thrown out of her body, but they don't.

In my au, Lydia is also a ghost, a regespiravit. A soul/ghost who has been through a reincarnation is to be left alone. (Dying and living again) Lydia being reincarnated for about 10 times and still holding up a body has made her gain some major respect from most of the ghost.

Beasts, beastmen, merfolk, magical objects or even some type of fae, might be able to notice she is not alive enough. The first time she met Lilia (in the cafeteria), he was actually surprised to notice she seemed to not exist next to her friends.

Grim and her get along greatly of course, but even the grey feline knows Lydia is weird.

She has scars from her past deaths, with the last one being her littarly ripped apart, so if she would wear a bikini on a beach you could compere her to Frankenstein, because her scars are draped around her in a way that makes it seem like her limbs were stitched together again.

She is magicless, or at least things she is. In exchange for her not being allowed to rest, she was given a hypnotising singing voice, which she rarely uses cause she can't sing.

YIPPEE for OC-tober! This is my favorite OC of mine, Drax (also Laura, Dracula, or full name Draculaura)! This fag was my he/she bigender awakening (he's a little aged, but I still absolutely adore her 🫀🫀)

She was made for a paranormal research team, along with OCs made by a group of friends (inc. @bensiskos and @littlegreenfags), that researched things like ghosts, aliens, bigfoot, and mothman! Together, they try to study these canonical phenomenon and prove their existence to a skeptical public, all while living in a van together so they can travel the continent for said research!

He's like the asshole older brother from a kid's show and a protective older sister at the same time. Never getting enough sleep, she's also more of a nerd than her appearance would let on. When they're stopped in a town, the library is his favorite place to be, doing tons of research in her free time and reading gothic literature and horror pulp fiction. Other things he likes:

being taller than other people, esp guys that look down on his swagful femme self (can't look down if ur forced to look up)

i think gauze by dir en grey is the best visual kei album ever. of course, i haven’t listened to every visual kei album ever, though i’ve listened to a good amount of them to be fair. yes, buck tick has iconic songs, as does any band. so does malice mizer.

but gauze is just such an emotionally moving and amazing album, so many songs on there made me want to rip my heart out, claw at my hair and cry in a ball in the corner. it’s so beautiful and the hour or so of listening is so worth it. i wish i had it on vinyl or CD, i want a physical version of it so so soooo bad.

it’s a perfect album.

Demo for End Of The Line.

This is the most drastically different demo from the finished product out of all of them, I think, aside from Dirty World. The lyrics are still unfinished so there's a lot of silences, and a couple of lines are changed.

Am listening to Taylor Swift music again, and have been seized by the need to talk through some of her older albums -- favorite songs, personal history, whatever comes to mind. Maybe in yet another attempt to try and figure out my overall fave / ranking of them as a set? No real order is planned for this so I thought I’d start with this one, because I realized I actually hadn’t listened to it in quite some time.

(I don't really know what this mini-project is going to be but I’ve been noodling on it for a few nights and now seems as good a time as any to share.)

Background/Overview

When it was new -- and a 2010 Christmas present for me -- it was my favorite of the three, but now I'm not sure. The thing is that it has several songs I like better than the entirety of Fearless (except for #1 fave Change), but it also has a handful I find less interesting compared to that one’s “13 track listings, stars beside them all” success, and I can’t decide how to weight that. It does absolutely have the prettiest cover and booklet, though.

Songs

Ask me my favorite song on this album and I’ll say without hesitation Long Live. I don’t think that will ever change; it’s in my all-time-faves across her whole discography. The twin/companion piece to Change, it never fails to make my heart sing. It came out after I was an adult but it still makes me nostalgic and occasionally teary as hell for high school. Bonus association: this was my mental soundtrack for the end of Glee season 3 too (”for a moment, a band of thieves in ripped-up jeans got to rule the world").

Runner-up faves are Haunted, which really lives up to its name (Wuthering Heights-haunted style, maybe... between the electric guitar tearing open the scene and the chimes, the instrumentation is epic; this may be the only song that actually loses emotional impact as an acoustic/piano version), Better Than Revenge (which is my not-even-that-guilty pleasure and I will JAM OUT to it to this day; "no amount of vintage dresses gives you dignity" is SAVAGE and I love it), and The Story of Us ("looks like a lot like a tragedy now" is one of my favorite quotes to bust out in episode reviews about ‘ship destruction, or was when I still did those), which is similarly jam-out-worthy. Ooh, and Sparks Fly is one of those songs where I'm like, "WHY wasn't this a single, it's so good." I’m actually always kind of surprised that one isn’t the album opener; “my mind forgets to remind me you’re a bad idea” is my anthem for giving shows/ships/characters/episodes way more chances than they deserve. (Grey’s Anatomy. We’re mostly talking about every time I dip back into the Grey’s Anatomy waters). In slow-songs-I-like territory: Enchanted, which is frankly too pretty for the person it’s actually about (but helpfully easy to apply to anyone and relevant to every listener’s life). And Back to December, which suffers rather unjustly from my knowing that it’s about The Boring Taylor, because I used to automatically skip it about half the time, yet every time I actually listen to it I'm shocked to realize it’s way prettier than I remember. Both musically (when male vocals...enhance?? a taylor song??) and lyrically.

As far as the other singles, I kind of killed Mine for myself with overplay, but I do think it's one of the strongest singles she's ever released...and as I’m listening to it now, I think it might be back! What good music, what a sweet scenario, and how much do I love the “brace myself for the goodbye / ‘cause that’s all I’ve ever known...” part.

Mean is fun and deservedly sassy, although it too is recovering from overplay (with the added demerit of being covered in the worst, least appealing possible way on Glee and feeling tainted forever. Once upon a time this was in my top 5 for the CD). Speak Now is fun too, but also...damn, so much more juvenile and mean-spirited to me now than Better Than Revenge. You don't help a dude ditch his bride at their wedding! If he shouldn't be marrying her you talk to him BEFORE THE CEREMONY???? I have definitely lost enchantment with this one over time.

One I don’t know how to feel about: I have to be in the right mood for the song so I don’t always let it play through, but as a late bloomer homebody and perpetual looker-backer, the second half of Never Grow Up really kicked me in the heart when I first heard it. I thankfully never ended up having to experience this, but "here I am in my / new apartment in the big city / they just dropped me off / it's so much colder than I thought it would be / so I tuck myself in, and turn the nightlight on" really described all my deepest fears about graduating from college and still brings a twinge at the mere thought.

On the downturn: unpopular opinion but while Dear John is full of great lyrics, it’s just so damned slow that I skip it almost every time. I’m really hoping it gets reinvigorated by a Taylor’s Version, because whenever I give it a chance, I just end up freshly disappointed by the wasted potential.

Innocent is slightly more compelling music-wise, but still rather slow and often skipped, not least because it just...feels weird. Uneven. There are some great lines and a good idea buried in here, but with its history and context it's so patronizing even when I’m on Taylor’s side that it ends up cringe.

Meanwhile, Last Kiss doesn't even exist to me. It covers the same criminal territory as Back to December but it's EVEN SLOWER. Bonus Tracks I didn't hear them until the end of 2012 and even then only as standalones on Spotify, separate from the album associations, I absolutely love all three, more than the last 5 or 6 above in fact. Ours is the companion piece / sequel to "Mine," If This Were A Movie is sweet, and Superman is so cute and catchy.

A small addition: It's illegal to have the content you ripped from the cd/dvd as a background music on video or a stream or stream it in a public setting (on Discord or as a part of your own otherwise public stream/video) even though you own the cd/dvd/blu-ray. The copyright of the content itself is still property of the creator and you need to have a permission from them to use it in public. So yes, you can make a copy of the cd/dvd/blu-ray to yourself but you can't spread or use the content it in any way in public.

I know gifs and fan videos fall into somewhat grey area but it seems that the creators usually take it more as free advertising since the full content isn't being spread in those.

you guys know you can get USB connectable CD, dvd, and blu-ray players right. and you can buy external hard drives with crazy amounts of space for an amount of money that would make the average person from 2009’s head explode bc of how cheap it is. and if you do this and get ripping software such as handbrake for CDs and DVDs and makeMKV for blurays you can both own a physical copy of whatever media you want and make it accessible to yourself no matter where you are. do you guys know this

Disturbing version of Animal Crossing: City Folk.

Animal Crossing is one of my guilty pleasures when it comes to gaming, and I decided to make the jump from the DS version and buy City Folk for the Wii. I decided to go down to a local Video Game + DVD store that opened up downtown. Upon talking to the clerk, I found the wall for Wii games, with a weird group of unlabeled games near them. I was told that the store will buy used games for a small price, and sometimes re-sell ones that appear to be in working conditions. I ended up buying the game. It had a white jewel case, similar to a PS1 game, and a blank label that was pretty much a white piece of paper with "ANIMAL CROSSING WII" on it. I took the game home, and opened up the case. From the start, I figured something was up. The game appeared to be burned onto a Memorex CD. I turned on the Wii, and here's when things started getting weird.

The game started up normally, albeit the "Nintendo" logo was a dark shade of grey, and there weren't any animal voices speaking it. I started a new game, and noticed that Rover (the purple cat) only spoke parentheses, and had the default sad/worried facial expression stuck on his face. I was greeted with the bus intro, where Kapp'n drives you to your city, and asks you questions. However, the bus seemed to be stopped, as there was no animation or sound. Dialogue boxes popped up at the bottom of the screen. "Who Are You?", "What Gender Are You?" appeared. At this point, I figured that it was either an in-development version, or some sort of rip with limited sound and stuff. The third question came up and startled me. "Where Did They Send You?". At that point, it gave three options, which were simply "A", "B", and "C". I pressed A, and the game cut to black, and then opened with my character near the front gate. The weather was rainy, but the volume of rain seemed to be increased significantly. I didn't see Tom Nook at all, or anyone else. I explored the town, and saw some pretty weird things.

I first tried to find Tom Nook and start the job tutorial, but couldn't find him. I entered Nook's Cranny. All of the items in the store were mannequins (ripped from the city's store), clothing, and various letters "From Mom". I wasn't able to touch any of the letters, but the clothing seemed to be free, as if they were dropped there. When I put them on, they looked like existing clothing patterns, but with (what I assume is) blood spattered on them. This disturbed me. I figured that the game had to have been some sort of modified .ISO, similar to how people can change colors and text with SSB:B, and other titles. I left Nook's Cranny, and noticed that upon attempting to re-enter, the door gets locked, and gives the player the following message: "Stop disturbing us.". I walked far away, and walked into the town hall/post office. The lights seemed dimmer, and Tortimer was the clerk, instead of Pelly/Phyllis. Tortimer automatically spoke. "Why are you here?", with clouds appearing over his head, a sign of an NPC being sad. I wasn't able to make him move, so the post office was disabled. I looked in the garbage pickup box, and the inventory was filled with clothes, fishing rods, slingshots, and more letters from Mom. I exited, but re-entered to make sure that the Nook's Cranny problem wasn't there. I was able to go back in, but Tortimer wasn't there, and all the lights were turned off. I exited, and it began to thunder outside. The landscape started to change. Weeds were visible as far as the eye could see, and many of the trees were replaced with Rafflesia plants, with flies buzzing around them. I walked to the right side of the map, and saw a group of houses. Only three or four. When entering them, it's easy to tell that the houses are wayyy different from in game.

The windows in the houses are boarded up, and trash cans fill the room. They had two NPC's each, which were nondescript cats. Their eyes had no pupils, and when speaking to them, they would turn their backs to you and say "WHYISTHISHAPPENING", with more rainclouds appearing above their heads. After speaking to them, I was kicked out of the houses. The screen cut to black, and faded with me towards the beach. Tom Nook appeared, and gave the usual, normal routine that players go through when beginning the game. I had to wait 2-3 minutes for my char to automatically follow him across town. I got to my house, and entered. The floor and wallpaper were white. No pattern, no texture. Just the color white. I wasn't able to go upstairs, as a "Don't. Please." message appeared. I exited the house, and Tom Nook just stood there, giving me a message consisting of parentheses. The game faded to white, and I heard the "NINTENDO" voice.

I was pissed at this point. I was disturbed, but I can't say I was scared, simply because I assumed it was an odd modification of the game by whomever previously owned it. The game started up in the same exact way. My save was gone! I had to go through the same routine again. When exploring the town, I noticed that the previous houses were gone. I was able to enter Nook's Cranny, but realized something odd. The outfit near one of the mannequins was the same as the one I previously wore, and had a letter near it. I picked it up, and it read "I'm so sorry. Nobody deserves this." I exited the store, and Tom Nook was waiting outside. He gave the same parentheses message as before, and the game faded to white again.

At this point, I'm surprised that I bothered to do the process AGAIN, but out of curiosity, I did. In THIS save, I was freaked out. My character had a very dark, simplistic face with huge black eyes, and a black mouth, similar to the Gyroids from the original title. Now the post office was gone, and every single tree in the game was replaced with a Rafflesia, or the town flag. I entered Nook's Cranny, and surprise-surprise, another mannequin appeared, with my character's default clothes. I left, and Tom Nook gave a different message. "You kids never learn.". The game faded to white, but when I restarted, it appeared normal.

The game had a normal title screen, but I was instantly able to create a save, and not go through the process of answering Q's, etc. It faded to a Wintery town, with the camera focused on a Gyroid outside a house. I thought that it froze, until a human NPC arrived, with Tom Nook talking to them. The camera then zoomed in on the Gyroid. The Gyroid began to jiggle around and let out a weird sobbing noise. The camera faded to black. After that, I wasn't able to create any more saves. The game froze after the Nintendo logo.

And here's another thing about pirating:

If there is literally no legal way to watch something, say, there are no DVDs or downloads released and the streaming service just deleted everything, no way to watch it, then is pirating even bad? It's a legal grey area, at least it used to be, because there is no legal way. And in cases like that, pirating actually serves to preserve it. Just look into game prototypes. We wouldn't have many, if any at all, if people didn't basically steal the cartridge and the ripped and uploaded it. Ripping games is preserving them in general. Cartridges and CDs don't last forever.

🍂 Cottage Dreaming 🍂

This set started out as a lil project to give my Cottage Living sims more earth-toned clothes to wear. There’s still more pieces that I’d like to do in these same patterns, so who knows, there might be a part two coming later! But for now, while it’s still autumn, here’s a set with 15 clothes recolored in tons of patterns!

54 nature/autumn themed pattern swatches that are used for all pieces. These have individual colors for swatch thumbnails.

A random amount of additional nature/autumn themed pattern swatches for each piece. These have light grey swatch thumbnails. (Tbh most of these are the same across different pieces but I didn't notice I was using the same ones until it was too late rip)

12 corduroy patterns for all bottoms. These have individual colors for swatch thumbnails and are listed as the last swatches.

The other pieces require a certain pack to work. CD = Cats & Dogs / CL = Cottage Living / DHD = Dream Home Decorator / DU = Discover University / GF = Get Famous / TL = Tiny Living.

⚠️ The DHD Overalls don’t show up in CAS with the Custom Content filter (at least for me), but if you uncheck the CC filter and check the Locked filter instead, you should find them in the Overalls section. Idk how to fix this, sorry!

Remember when Gerry was down in the catacombs swinging around a sledgehammer and knocking down walls even though he was like 17 and malnourished? I do. I remember
