Glamrock Freddy, [Gremlin_Senses] activated, triggering his [Defuse_the_Gremlin.exe] protocol: there are many space-themed rides at the Pizzaplex. Let's have a space adventure there.

Infiglo's FNAF AU Masterpost 😃

Making this in an attempt to be more organized with my AU and so that people can look at this before asking any questions I might have already answered before. It will include links to posts (explanations, references, important art), FAQ, and other details.

Brief Summary

My AU is basically just my interpretation of the FNAF story, with some changes from canon/what is largely agreed to be canon. (It does not always reflect what I actually think is canon.) I kind of think of it in 2 separate parts, one about the kids before and after they die, and another about Michael (and some other characters) after the murders, finding out what happens and dealing with the haunted animatronics of course. The first part is my main focus majority of the time, and usually follows Cassidy, Charlie, and Evan.

As you can see, I don't currently have updated references for quite a few characters such as Michael, William, Henry, the FNAF 1 animatronics, etc. I am working on these and will have them eventually. I'll try to always keep this up to date with what I've posted.

FAQ

Are you planning on making a webcomic? - I gave a longer explanation about what I plant to do with my AU here, but the short answer is that I plan on making short comics about specific events/situations, but not one continuous comic telling the entire story.

How many games does your AU include?/Does your AU include Security Breach? - My AU only goes to UCN, so no it does not include Security Breach, Help Wanted, or Fazbear Frights if you believe those are canon. I will include some characters like Vanessa, Gregory, Cassie, Jake, and Andrew as background characters in my AU just for fun, but they are not really relevant to the story.

When did the kids die? - I'm still making sure I'm happy with the exact dates and death orders, but as of right now: Charlie dies in 1980, Elizabeth and Evan die in 1983, and the MCI is 1985.

What ages were the kids when they died? - I answered that here. Please note this is an updated version where I changed a few ages, and there might be an old inaccurate answer to this question up somewhere.

What are the FNAF 4 nightmares in the AU? - They are Evan and Cassidy's agony ghosts, or extensions of them since the only ones they themselves turn into are Nightmare Fredbear and Nightmare. Cassidy is helping Evan torment Michael because Evan agreed to help her with William. and she also thinks it's funny.

Is Andrew part of Golden Freddy in this AU? - No, I have a second, side AU where he is, but it has nothing to do with my main AU, where Andrew doesn't end up being killed.

Is Sammy in this AU? Yes, he is, and he's still Charlie's brother. I based him off of the spring bonnie kid from FNAF 4. He is also not super important though, because he moves away with his mother in 1983 after Evan dies.

What order do the events of the games happen? FNAF 4, FNAF 2, FNAF 1, Sister Location, UCN, FNAF 3, FNAF 6

I put everything relating to this au under the "main au" tag. Besides that I try to tag the names of the characters in the post, the game it relates to, and will tag "spirits" or "agony ghosts" for posts about either of those. When I make longer posts where I just explain things in detail I tag those "explanations".

I tag all the questions I respond to as "answered", although a lot of these aren't related specifically to my AU.

Other details I feel like I should mention

My FNAF 1 Nightguard is not Mike, it's actually Cassidy's cousin, Mina because I wanted them to have a bigger connection to the MCI. The events of FNAF 1 and Sister Location happen pretty close together, because Mina is at Freddy's and Michael is at Circus Baby's.

My version of the FNAF 4 Chica Bully (Raina) is Gabriel's older sister and is the nightguard that replaced Jeremy in FNAF 2, and she's also the Fnaf 3 nightguard.

Jeremy Fitzgerald is Susie's older brother. The two of them moved to Hurricane in 1983 (before Evan died).

The Toy animatronics are not possessed by seperate kids, although the MCI victims' agony might take control over them sometimes.

My Mrs. Afton is named Eleanora, or Nora for short.

Elizabeth and Michael were born in the UK so they do have British accents, but Evan was born in the US and doesn't really have one. (Nora is also American and was born in Hurricane.)

Charlie and her agony ghost self are much more connected than anyone else is with theirs, and her agony ghost acts a little more human because of this. They can also generally convey ideas to each other but cannot directly communicate. Usually if Charlie's agony ghost does something that doesn't relate to her goal of stopping William, it's because she's doing it for the real Charlie.

Time does not work the same for the spirits as it does in the real world.

Elizabeth is the only spirit who never has contact with any of the other spirits until right before she's set free.

The agony ghosts can change how people see other things, as extensions of themselves basically. This is how they make the animatronics eyes turn black, Charlie gives the puppet tears, and Elizbeth changes Baby's eye color. (What happens to William in UCN is different than this, since it's Cassidy's agony trapping him in one of his own memories and then changing it however she likes - so it all happens inside his head.)

So can you tell us some facts about your jeremy fitzgerlad

He’s the cousin of missing kid Fritz Smith and his sister Frankie Smith! He moved to (New Orleans or Utah i can’t decide where to put my fnaf au rn) after Fritz disappeared in 85.

He’s originally from New York, but left due to 1. cousin going missing and wanting to be there with his other cousin and 2. to escape some trauma and get a new fresh start. (it’s a sensitive topic so i wont mention it here) 3. His mom decided to tour for her music career and Jeremy wanted some where to stay where he wasn’t constantly moving place to place.

His full name is actually Jeremiah. He has ADHD and has always been in love with space and astronomy. big science nerd. Also he’s 6’8” like the actor(Theodus Crane) of Jeremiah from the FNaF Movie! He’s also gay and probably not cisgender(i keep having dreams where he’s there and transmasc with Michael who he transfem)

Jeremy is a chill and kind guy who often avoids conflict for the sake of keeping peace.

He got the job at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza in 1987 because he wanted to pay rent to the Smith family for letting him stay there. He had been working at a diner that closedown.

At Freddy’s he started working behind the prize counter where he met Michael, who was working as the delivery “boy”. The two struck up a friendship that eventually led to a romance.

After the bite happened Michael stayed around, and the two got promise rings. (avoiding an engagement ring due to the times)

Jeremy had separated himself from Freddy’s and he (along with Michael) adopted a baby girl when they are in their 40s. The little girl being Cassie from Ruin!

After Michael disappeared/died, Jeremy put all his time and focus onto caring for his daughter Cassie. Jeremy never fell in love again after Michael died. After multiple decades Jeremy couldn’t imagine himself with anyone else romantically.

Jeremy ends up getting a job as a technician for Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizza Plex—he was the main technician for Glam Bonnie along with Bonnie Bowl. Must to his dismay he is once again working under FazEnt but now with a brain chip! Through FazEnt he met Vanessa who Jeremy would offer a babysitting gig to. So Vanessa and Cassie grew a sisterly bond.

After Cassie goes missing Jeremy falls apart but Frankie helps take care of him until Cassie gets home. (spoilers: Gregory and Vanessa save Cassie from Mimic cause I care for Cassie so much)

Jeremy is still alive and will end up dying of natural causes that come with old age. He lived a long good, happy life.

Probs won't go super deep like I usually do because FNAF lore is so... *confused shrug*. But these are just some observations I had.

As Cassie is entering, the Blob is leaving.

I believe it's the stairway that would've led down to the maintenance tunnels pre-collapse, you can catch a glimpse of it if you're looking at the hole when the jumpscare-cue plays. This area is close enough to the surface that I can say with some confidence that the Blob is most definitely on the loose. I don't think it has malicious intent. If it did, surely it would've rocked Cassie's shit then and there instead of quickly slipping away. There's been no mention of it attacking employees either. Which makes it all the more interesting that it attacks Gregory at all.

There are illusion discs at play.

In Tales of the Pizzaplex, it's established that it's entirely possible to fill a building with illusion discs to simulate furniture, food, and the passage of time. When you spend so much time under their effects, your brain starts to notice something's not right and starts showing you signs. Same thing happens with the various VR/AR toys and attractions.

The reason we can walk through walls and seemingly teleport is because what we're seeing outside the VANNI mask isn't real. What we see in the mask isn't completely accurate either, but it's more real than what Cassie's bare eyes are perceiving.

Unless it's a glitch, this would explain why Ruined Freddy disappears when you put on the mask.

There are still ghosts at play.

When you don the mask, things can appear as green, white, red, or purple/pink. MXES Rabbit is purple, green, and white (and black). This probably marks three different forces working together to keep the Mimic contained (or three different forces being used for that purpose, likely against their will). Which leaves red on the two animatronics who are relentlessly pursuing you for no clear reason other than to rock your shit.

Isn't it curious that when Chica enters "rest mode" at the end of that section, she stops being a threat only when you reunite her with her voice box, something we know is infected with the Glitchtrap virus?

Red can't be the Mimic, because why would it send obstacles that stop Cassie from freeing it? So, red is something else. Something malevolent and inclined to violence. A... vengeful spirit, perhaps?

There are times when Cassie can't access the VANNI network, and some are explained away by inhibitors. But there are some areas where that excuse wouldn't work. Monty's ride in particular, because Helpy specifically calls out that there's no reason why the network can't be accessed in there. I believe these spots to be where the spirit's presence is prominent, vengeful or not.

The Mimic was made by whoever made the Daycare Attendant

In terms of design philosophy, there are three distinct types of animatronics. The Glamrocks (four fingers), the STAFF bots (three fingers), and the Daycare Attendant (five fingers). While its limbs are from different bots, check out its frame and head.

Similar chest shape, same neck, same wiggly-teeth, same shoulders. Sun and Moon have always been unique in the sense that nothing else in the Fazplex looks like them. They don't have extra "backup" endos. And now, in Ruin, Sun is part of the VANNI network, but Moon isn't.

Secondary Conclusion: Sun is an AI. Moon is an AI possessed by a spirit.

Based on the clear parallels with the Baby plushes, that spirit has to be Elizabeth lmao. Which is fascinating because Sun/Moon are very much the latest incarnation of the security puppet. Maybe Charlie's in there too.

thinking about fnaf characters pokemon types (very long list lol)

evan would be psychic/ghost. he has really vivid dreams and could get into Michael's thoughts and mind to say 'its me'. ghost because he was the first person dead and first person to possess an animatronic. good special attack because of his talents with psychic powers (best stats: special attack)

gregory is fighting/electric. hes strong physically and also has a lot of technology on his side. theres also his connection to lightning bolts. good attack for his physical strength and good speed because nobody can ever catch him. (best stats: attack and speed)

cassidy would be ghost/dark. theres her ambiguous morals and desire to kill William and get revenge, and theres her role as a ghost, which she takes advantage of and takes seriously. best stats are both attacks because shes very violent and out for blood (best stats: attack and special attack)

michael: steel/fairy. steel because... ennard. but also because hes resilient and strong. hes not the best at defending himself, but he can take hits really well. fairy because that adds onto the defense, and also because it's an obvious separation between William and him being good/evil. speed is very high becuase hes been both chasing after and running away from things his whole life. (best stats: special defense and speed)

william: steel/dark. dark types are sometimes called evil type. dark type to contrast against Michael's steel/fairy as good/evil. steel because, duh, springtrap, but also because of his connection with robots in general. good speed stat because hes always one step ahead. good HP because he always comes back. (best stats: speed and HP)

elizabeth: steel/ice. baby is big and bulky, and cold like ice. also icecream. she manipulates and lulls people into her traps with no remorse. Elizabeth has connections to both magle and baby, so steel fits. good special attack because shes good at getting into peoples heads. (best stats: special attack)

charlie: flying/ghost. flying because the puppet can float, and also shes like a savior and protector so you could use angel wings as a metaphor. also super effective against fighting, which shows how she leans towards defending and protecting instead of revenge. ghost because shes like the leader of the ghosts and she put the souls into the animatronics. (best stat: special defense)

vanessa: normal/fighting. normal because shes an average person dragged into this. she has no specific strengths and is only resilient. fighting because its weak against psychic and because vanessa is actively fighting against glitchtrap to save Gregory and herself. her worst stat is special defense(💀). good HP because she keeps surviving. no matter what's thrown at her.(best stats: HP and attack)

glitchtrap: poison/psychic. poison because hes a virus and infects. psychic because hes a manipulator and a puppet master who pulls the strings. (best stat: special attack)

anyways these are just my thoughts about it akdjsj lmk if you have any other thoughts about this :)

OKAY OKAY SO HEAR ME OUT THOUGH-

SO in security breach we know that something is odd with freddy. logically ive always kinda chalked it up to the fact he probably has the best antivirus bc hes the lead man so thats why he doesnt attack gregory after vanny's tampering bc personally ive never felt good about michael possessing him

(i get why people like that but michael was only kept alive bc of the scoopers remnant, so if you guys want him to be the mc in fnaf6 hes gotta be dead, pick one please i see good fuel for both)

so who is freddy??? well hold onto your socks bc i got something that you mightve already thought about idk BUT someone in the fnaf6 ending was never a remnant being and wasnt shown dying--

we get so many hints at puppet everywhere (the wiring, the dolls, yanno youve prolly seen them pointed out already), but there is no mention of charlie/puppet ANYWHERE by name to gregory

so heres my idea:

we know through sources that remnant is what happens when soul matter touches metal, and that if there is no reaction between a souls agony and some kinda steel, remnant aint happenin. remnany is functionally what made william/springtrap 'immortal' and michael survive ennard. we know thats what henry was aiming to melt down to undo the binding of the souls and the metal in fnaf6.

but puppet was never metal. every time we see puppet, it floats around or wiggles like a plushie. puppet is a fluffy soft toy that clearly does NOT have any bones.

we also see it half-transparent in hallways, like- oh yanno- A GHOST???

i know fnaf has strayed further away from the haunted aspect and more into scifi, but what if puppet was our tie to classic haunts this whole time?

id like to point to this line that glamrock freddy says the first time you visit the fnaf6 sinkhole with him:

THE FIRST HALF OF THE MESSAGE: puppet/charlie definitely HAS been here before as we see in fnaf6, and we know that in between fnaf6 and help wanted old fazbear workers brought circuits torn out of scraptrap from the fnaf6 ruins to silver parasol games for scanning and utilizing, and thats more than likely where glitchtrap came from, but what does freddy mean by this?

you could argue that its cassidys vengeful spirit forcing charlie to continue clinging to earth in freddy ("she brought me here" if you consider cassidy to be a lil girl) which i personally would not put forcing their friend's spirit to haunt earth as long as part of afton is active past them, theyre a spiteful lil shit) but this isnt the meat of my theory so ill leave it

now the other half of the message, about glamrock freddys friends being angry and confused, really has the same vibe as these two puppet ucn lines to me

i think if theory this is true, this also could be good news for the moltenmci theory that i also subscribe to

charlie dies and her ghost decides "hey i should stick around to stop william and maybe help those lost babies" so she possesses puppet!

the fact shes a complete spirit and not just the raw emotion from remnant means shes way way WAY more coherant and clever than the other animatronics

in fnaf6 shes put in lefty, which i think henry did to try and force charlies spirit to become remnant by interacting with the animatronic's metal, but it doesnt work bc charlies already a ghouly ghoul and aint havin that

so when the pizzeria simulator place burns down, sure the puppet and lefty were gone but was charlie's spirit? NO bc it wasnt remnant! fire doesnt touch ghosts silly casette man!!!

thats why, lemme draw your attention to the fact that CHARLIE IS NEVER SHOWN GETTING FREED:

SHES NEVER SHOWN IN THE ENDING BC ITS SYMBOLIC FOR HER STILL BEING AROUND

so what happened after that? well security breach takes place in and above the sinkhole that once was the fnaf6 location. spirits, in many folklores, do not tend to stray too far from their resting place most of the time

so if charlie, now a freed spirit with nowhere to go and nothing personal to possess (sorry about your puppet), finds out that afton is still possessing endoskeletons and having his brainwashed people kill people for funsies bestie? she aint having that

this was the kid that decided instead of just passing on to heaven or whatever, to STAY BEHIND AND HELP THE OTHER KIDS TAKE WILLIAM DOWN. she is described by henry as selfless and always helping others instead of herself

also need i remind you of charlies most famous act of trying to help (but accidently making things worse by prolonging the suffering instead of 'giving life'?)

this bitch would 100% possess the strongest thing she could to try and stop him, the strongest being glamrock freddy.

now after years of being manipulated into being freddy and acting as him/working with his programming, she might not have a clear understanding of who she once was. so, when glamrock freddy says "i found myself for the first time when i cleared the path" what if he means she remembered what she originally came here to do?

what if she left all the calling cards on purpose? what if she left the plushies around as a reminder of who she is so she doesnt forget why shes still tied to earth? so she remembers to stop afton instead of just let the programming take over?

bc if you remember, we're all fairly certain william only runs away to balloon boys voice in fnaf3 bc of the animatronic's programming it wouldnt be too out of place for charlie to struggle with it too, tho in a different way.

as for mimic...

the REAL reason i wanted to bring it up is bc this looks like puppet. this music box plays the puppet song my grandfathers clock, and then mimic pops out.

the most common question i see is why mimic is referencing puppet, and my theory explains that:

if charlie is in the pizzaplex, then mimic probably knows all about her. everything about her. tales from the pizzaplex has an ongoing plotline where mimic is literally stalking and studying the other characters obsessively, so whos to say his connection in the baobab tree didnt get him access to ""memory files"" or whatever its called when agony/remnant is imprinted on circuitry like with scraptrap and glitchtrap.

so yeah, heres my theory on what happened to charlie and whos REALLY possessing glamrock freddy!!!

Sundrop/Moondrop headcanons

(and things we need to remark to ourselves because we always forget)

I'm used to referring to DCA as just "he", because I use the name "Sundrop" for the whole animatronic (meaning Daycare Attendant, not just Sun or Moon) but since I know that's incorrect, I'll try to use it more times the pronoun "they" because there are three characters within the same body. But sometimes I say "he". I'm sorry for that :(

And english is not my main language so I'm sorry for my writing errors. You can correct me if I was wrong in any part of the post.

DCA IS NOT THE KIDS CARETAKER. I know this sounds weird but hear me out. He's made to watching and distracting them, being more interesting to the children and an attempt to make them feel more identified with him than with adult employees. He's immature so that the kids can feel welcomed by him — he thinks like a kid. He's really programmed to help, though. Knows funny stories, how to draw, teaches kids how to read, and knows when a kid is in danger, or when it's sad, being bullied. Has permission to put the mean ones in "the corner of shame". But it's just that: programming. He can't replace a caretaker's job. He's like an attraction to the kids and at the same time a baby monitor. That's why he's so tall: because he needs to see every little kid that it's hidden behind those structures inside the Daycare, instead of being small to take care of them. But when something happens, the caretakers, or better saying, employees of the Daycare, show up to help. Maybe DCA work as a camera too so that the employees can make sure that everything's alright around him, if Sun/Moon/Eclipse missed a crying child that their visual recognition couldn't notice. Maybe they can see what he sees in those computers next to the door. That's why they can't leave DCA alone taking care of any child. He's not dangerous but he wasn't made to work alone. DCA is just a help.

They know every part of the human body. Everything abou anatomy. If a kid asks him where is the stomach, he knows where to spot and how it works. It's for educational purposes and also medical purposes, so that they can know exacly where a child was harmed, how to help (even if he's not made to do this part but it's still important to know) and how to teach them about their bodies. He's also programmed to avoid talks about reproduction. He can help them understand, using simple words and ways to teach (educational purposes), but always preserving their inocence in the subject. Either way they were made to avoid this subject as much as they can, not that it was not important to teach, but because Pizzaplex did not want to deal with angry parents.

They probably don't take care of the children medically. When a child is hurt, it doesn't matter which DCA, they are programmed to call human employees so that they can help the kids properly. When it's something small like a scratch, he makes a simple bandage. When the child suffers some impact but is not seriously injured, he gives a kiss to heal and tries to change their attention to other things so that they stop suffering from the impact.

I know that this is obvious for some of you, but it's good to remark: I know it's sad, but everything he does is made up. Is like he's acting the whole time because that's what he was made to do. Those patient quotes, techniques that make the children listen to him, his whole personality and mannerisms are planned so that his objective as an attraction to Pizzaplex is reached, that is, to take care of the children and occupy them. It's just a robot, but at the same time... somehow his programming started to turn into real emotions. Like when Sun was scared that Moon would do something to Gregory or any other kids, or when Moon took control in Ruin and Sundrop kept crying and singing trying to calm himself. It should be just a robot, but somehow he's devloping emotions, which is not uncommon inside the FNAF universe.

They have the capacity to learn and remember, like a sponge. If you tell them something, or explain something, show someone to them, they're going to remember. Like Roxy remembers Cassie for example, DCA does the same thing. But when he was reprogrammed into Eclipse again, he lost most of his memories. He just acts the way he did when he came out of the factory, that's why Eclipse was waiting for the kids in the next day, Sun and Moon KNOW that the Pizzaplex is closed. Sun was singing about having no more kids in the Daycare. They know, or at least knew, before the reprogramming. But the "thank you" at the end make me wonder if Sun and Moon really forgot, or it's just Eclipse... I thought that their memories were conected. They're not?

If Sun sees or learns something, Moon is going to see and learn this too. If kids tell them about other characters that aren't part of the Fazbear Entertainment they WILL memorize it. "Mr Sun have you ever heard about Hello Kitty?" "Who is this?" and then the kid tells him, but in the next time someone mentions Hello Kitty he's gonna say "Ohh that kitty girl??". It's against the Fazbear Entertainment self-sponsorship? Yes. But it happens sometimes. It helps with the kids tho. "What are you drawing?? Ohh it's Hello Kitty!!!!" "Yes, do you know her?" "Of course! She's so cute and she likes to do tea parties, sleepovers, painting and playing games just like me!!!"

When Sun is awake, Moon and Eclipse are watching, but can't interfere. The same happens to each one of them. When Moon was following Gregory, Sun was watching and screaming inside his head even knowing that he couldn't do anything to stop him. He probably watched Moon kill some other kids before, that's why he was so scared of Gregory turning the lights off. But he's not allowed to talk about murder with kids, that's why he couldn't explain the reason why Gregory needed to keep the lights on. "He could have told him that Moondrop is a killer!" He can't because it's against his programming.

He's a very inclusive animatronic. His hands and fingers are big for doing sign language, has bells on his wrists so visually disabled children can hear him, he was programmed to adapt to all kinds of different looks and behaviors, so it never makes people uncomfortable and always gives them the best experience he can. DCA knows how to understand and speak different languages, knows a little about other cultures, but Fazbear Entertainment forbids him to talk about religion. He is programmed to change the subject as soon as it is mentioned.

He is not programmed to talk about sexuality using formal terms, but instead talks innocently, using words like "it's okay to like boys" and stands up for kids who are bullied for it. He can't understand the feeling of loving someone (because he's a robot), but he understands that some kids love boys, others love girls and there's nothing wrong with that (it's a human thing). He acts completely innocent in the matter and treats everything normally. Usually small children don't have this part of their identity fully discovered yet, but some older ones sometimes understand.

He knows how to do magic tricks. Knows a lot of circus stuff, actually. He knows how to do malabarism and can give a clown show. Also he's a good actor for theater presentations and can do puppet shows. Can do shadow's shows with his hands (that are big because can do sign language, so it's even better). Knows how to read stories for little children and can teach them how to read — sometimes is programmed to act like he's not an expert in a way of trying to teach them a little easier and make them confortable with someone who's being through the same situation: Their best friend Sun! (While I believe that Moon and Eclipse act more gentle and patient instead of doing this)

Something that the Fazbear Entertainment probably didn't thought about is that they are made from a hard material, too hard to hug. You can try to hug his torso but it doesn't feel really good. Looks like you're hugging a light pole. Also he can warm his body because kids are constantly hugging and touching him so it would be weird for them if he was cold.

When the lights in the Daycare go out, it never gets fully dark. Well, at least usually not (except for that month in Security Breach, when Gregory was there and some weeks before, when Moon got infected by Vanny). Kids are usually afraid of the dark and the Daycare was planned exactly to deal with this: Moon being kind and calm, the stars shining in the walls and in the ceiling, probably a soft lullaby playing during nap time. They don't need to deal with kids being afraid of the dark, because there's always light enough to see everything, but when this happens, there's always a small light that they put next to the kid who's very scared and also Moon tries to tranquilize them giving them special attention, putting them on his lap, talking before sleep, singing.

They fit with almost every Melanie Martinez song. Cry Baby album, K-12, Dollhouse EP, After School, some songs from Portals (just a little bit) and a lottt of her unreleased stuff. I could make a full playlist for him out of her songs. Glued? Pity Party? Show And Tell? The Contortionist? Tag You're It? Teddy Bear? Schizo? ARTS AND CRAFTS?? UNHAPPY MEAL? TWINS??!?! These are just SOME of them (i had a playlist for him on spotify but i lost my account... i tried to find it again and it seems that it was deleted for some reason. ALL of the playlists that I made just disappeared)

They can't fall in love because they're robots. But maybe in the human version... Also I'm actually thinking about making a blog talking about my human!au. Just an idea, it would be nice. Cassie teaching him how to be a human after getting out of the Pizzaplex and signing him up for jobs like a mall caretaker or party entertainment so he can still work with kids, which is what he enjoys the most. Moon would still exist, Eclipse too, but he would use the excuse to people that it's just "a character" he created for kids. Vanny's virus would also disappear (because he is no longer an animatronic) and Moon would go back to being kind. Maybe he would finally taste his own candies (sundrop/moondrop), and he would need to learn about human feelings, common sense, social norms, culture, much more. He would need to change his name as he would need a "formal" name for his documents. I was thinking about "Sebastian". And his hair would be curly and ginger (maybe with a mix of blonde). Maybe he has freckles.

‘Happy Birthday, Cassie!’

The lopsided cursive writing made of icing dripped from one side of the chocolate cake, making it appear soggy and unappetizing from any and all angles. Its candles having burnt out hours ago didn't help the case either, but that was okay.

It wasn't like Cassie felt like eating a whole cake on her own.

“Man, did I get the wrong memo? Didn't know we were doing a funeral today.”

FNAF? In MY account? More likely than you'd think! 🤭 Hey everyone! Alice here! Today I come with another special piece written for a zine: The FNAF Chibi Zine, to be precise! 💖

I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted to do for a cutesy project like this one in writing form, but then it hit me that I could get away with adorable goofiness and kids getting to be kids (the calm before the storm ig lol)

Something I've wanted to do was explore Cassie and Gregory's relationship, so that's exactly what I decided to go with! This can be seen as either platonic or romantic, tbh. I just love me these babies (even if Greg is possibly an evil psychopath 🙃).

Cassie had never been particularly interested in video games.

At school, it was one of the things that separated her from the rest of her classmates in the social hierarchy, with everyone always showing off their newest consoles or big hit releases. As if she didn't need more help in sticking out like a sore thumb.

Despite owning a pretty decent handful of games, she was never the competitive type, so she didn't pay much attention to them—but that all changed one day when her father got a new job in the city as an engineer for the animatronics at Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex.

The man would pick her up after last period, and together they'd head over to the massive hall attraction, where Cassie was free to roam around wherever she pleased while the adults got to work. A few of the other employees’ children would be there too. She tried to befriend them at first, but eventually stopped once she realized they would laugh and talk behind her back.

That's when the Arcade Cabinets came into play.

With the restaurant’s powerful 80’s aesthetic, it was no surprise to see an area dedicated to these gaming devices from an older time. Once she'd explored every inch of the building and none of the animatronics were available to spend time with her, Cassie figured she'd give these guys a shot.

To say she enjoyed them would be an understatement.

Before she knew it, the brunette would find herself wandering into the gaming area more and more frequently, going from one cabinet to the next to try and figure out which one she liked best. It was surprisingly ‘Balloon World’, despite her complaints of not finding a single Roxy themed arcade cabinet.

And even though she was having so much fun, there was something that slightly piqued her interest.

At first she didn't even notice it, but after constant playthroughs of the same games, Cassie saw a pattern in all of them—they all had the same acronym as the top score player. Curious to know if this was a factory defect, she went looking into other games, even ones she didn't normally play, only to keep finding the same name over and over.

“GGY…” She mumbled the three letters as she placed her palm against the joystick of Princess Quest. For someone to have the high score in not just one, but all the games in the arcade, they'd have to have been playing here for a very long time. And yet, Cassie was never with more than a few kids at a time in this area, and rarely did she see them again unless it was weeks afterwards.

So now, only one question plagued her mind every time she walked into the building—who was this mysterious ‘GGY’?

Two hours.

That's how long Cassie had been waiting to play Midnight Motorist.

When she arrived at the Pizzaplex earlier that day, she'd planned on trying to beat her previous record, only to find a boy she'd never seen before already there. Usually she wouldn't mind this, after all it was a public place and many kids spent their time here too. It wasn't the first time someone was playing in a cabinet before her.

For them to take two hours playing in said cabinet however, was a different story.

“Um, excuse me?” Cassie dared to take a chance, gently tapping the boy's shoulder in order to get his attention. “Are you almost done?”

“Ugh! Wait your turn, will you?” The boy immediately flinched away from her touch, and was almost startled out of the track in-game yet was quick to steer himself back in the right direction. Never once did he take his eyes off the screen to acknowledge her.

This annoyed her slightly. “I have been waiting. You've been playing for hours! And I should know; I went to go see Roxy's performance as soon as I got here and you're still here!”

The boy seemed to share her annoyance, but something told her it wasn't for the same reason. “Who cares? I was here first, so don't get in the- wait no, no, no! Dang it!”

Undoubtedly thanks to her meddling, the car on screen crashed against one of the obstacles, causing an instant ‘Game Over’ to appear. Yet despite that, Cassie couldn't help but notice that the boy still managed to beat the previous high score, which only made her wonder how much longer he would've lasted here if she hadn't said anything.

In reluctant grumbles, the boy started writing his initials on the scoreboard. Cassie didn't even bother listening to what he was saying once she saw the familiar letters that were scattered all over the arcade.

“Ya know? You're lucky I don't have any more tokens on me, cause I'd definitely keep playing if I did! I was about to get to the secret level before you—” The boy's rambles were quickly cut short by the brunette's gasp.

Her expression quickly morphed into that of awe as she invaded the boy's personal bubble, causing him to back up again the cabinet with a look of confusion on his face. “You're ‘GGY’?! Oh my God, I've been dying to meet you, I'm a huge fan! I'm Cassie!”

The mystery of GGY was something that started eating at her for a while now, so getting to meet the face behind the name was incredibly exciting, even if said face belonged to a boy who was somewhat rude at first meeting.

It was only now that they were face to face that Cassie got to have a good look at him—He had shaggy brown hair, a blue striped shirt, and khaki shorts that exposed legs covered in bandages. He also appeared to be around her age, yet still, he was completely unfamiliar to her.

Sure, Cassie didn't know every kid that frequented the Pizzaplex, but she had a fair idea of the usual guests considering this was the place she spent most of her time at, perhaps even more than her own home. Maybe he just moved into town?

“It would explain his terrible social skills…” The girl mused to herself, still waiting on the other's reply.

He seemed to be stuck between being mad and confused, cornered like a wild animal not knowing how to respond to the interaction. Honestly she couldn't blame him—her dad always said she gave off a strong aura, which some people might find too invasive.

The mystery boy didn't seem to think so though, as he finally decided to snap back into reality and started pondering her question. He rubbed at the back of his neck and avoided eye contact, but Cassie didn't mind at all.

A faint blush spread across his cheeks as the boy averted his gaze in what was unmistakably fake annoyance. “I-I'm… Gregory.”

Cassie couldn't help but smile. She had a feeling this boy was going to be interesting to hang out with. “Nice to meet you, Gregory!”

‘Happy Birthday, Cassie!’

The lopsided cursive writing made of icing dripped from one side of the chocolate cake, making it appear soggy and unappetizing from any and all angles. Its candles having burnt out hours ago didn't help the case either, but that was okay—it wasn't like Cassie felt like eating a whole cake on her own.

Party decorations were plastered all over the walls of the empty room, with everything from balloons to streamers to confetti, and yet none of it made the sight seem any less depressing.

After all, what could be sadder than a little girl celebrating her birthday all alone?

Roxy had been there with her the first few hours, giving her hope that her classmates were probably just running late or maybe got distracted by the ball pit and arcade games on the way. “They'll be here any minute!” Roxy had said.

But when the minutes turned into hours, there was nothing left in the brunette’s heart other than pain. As the tears rolled down her cheeks, messing up the awesome make-up Roxy had done for her earlier that day, Cassie couldn't contain the soft hiccups escaping her lips, no matter how hard she tried.

“Man, did I get the wrong memo? Didn't know we were doing a funeral today.”

That voice was one Cassie had grown accustomed to when coming to the Pizzaplex. It would usually bring both joy and annoyance with it, yet this time she felt nothing but shame as she buried her face deeper into the cocoon of her smeared sweater. “Why are you here, Greg?”

Cassie could hear Gregory's footsteps as he made his way around the food table and towards her. The sound of rustling paper and shuffling could be heard before she felt a tap on her shoulder. Tentatively lifting her gaze, she was surprised to be greeted by both a napkin and a flustered looking Gregory.

The boy coughed into his empty hand as he motioned the napkin in her direction. “What do you mean? You think I'd miss my friend's birthday party? Sorry I'm late. Had to get your present ready…”

That's when she saw it—a small paper gift bag resting on the table in front of them. It had a tag attached to it with Gregory's name on it, albeit rather clumsily written.

Cassie didn't have time to react before her friend decided to take initiative and start wiping the streaks of mascara running down her cheeks. He gently dabbed her eyelids too, trying to get rid of as many tears as possible as he kept talking. “I wouldn't get my hopes up though. I won it at the prize counter a few weeks ago cause it reminded me of you, and your birthday just happened to be coming up so… yeah. Sorry if it's kinda lame.”

Finally getting a hold of the napkin Gregory was using, Cassie blew her nose into the piece of paper as she felt more tears starting to build in the back of her eyes.

She knew he was an orphan, and didn't have any money to his name, so of course getting her something from the Pizzaplex would be the best solution. But just the idea of him playing games and spending all of his tickets just to get her this gift, was more than enough to warm her heart even if he didn't think it was worth getting worked up over.

Which was why she was quick to grab the bag and open it up right then and there despite Gregory's protests.

Inside, nestled between some stray pieces of confetti, was an adorable Roxy-Talkie. She'd been eyeing it on the prize counter for a while now, so maybe she wasn't so subtle about it and the boy was quick to notice her interest.

A soft beep broke her out of her thoughts, causing her to turn and find a smug looking Gregory holding a Freddy-Talkie. His voice echoed on both her right ear and the Roxy-Talkie's speaker. “This is Captain Gregory speaking. Lieutenant Cassandra, do you copy? Over.”

Rolling her eyes at the use of her full name, she pressed the button to reply in feign annoyance. “I copy Captain Doofus, over and out.”

“Hey! Is that any way to treat someone who didn't just get you a present, but also went out of their way to get a matching one for themselves?” Gregory's voice rose in pitch and all Cassie could do was giggle in reply.

“I mean, let's be real. You got one just to annoy me.”

“So what if I did? That's proof that I care, Lieutenant.”

“Oh, finally! A guest!” Roxy walked into the room at the perfect time, looking at the duo of children with a delighted smile gracing her robotic muzzle. She turned to address Gregory. “Welcome to the coolest, most badass birthday party of your life! Not just because I'm here, but you also get to hang out with my best friend Cassie!”

The boy simply stared with a pointed look. “Are all these robots such suck ups?”

“Hey! That's Roxanne Wolf you're talking to! Plus she's right—it's my birthday! So if anyone gets to be a Captain, it's me.” Cassie smirked in the boy's direction, trying her best to look as cool as possible despite all of the crying she'd done mere minutes ago.

Gregory chuckled, but didn't protest. Instead he returned the grin as he stuffed his hands into his pockets. “As long as I get free cake, you can do whatever you want, dweeb.”

He ran away before the brunette could even react, already by the sweets table with Roxy close behind him. Still, she couldn't contain the smile from spreading across her face as she watched his excited form.

Maybe no one else showed up, but the person who truly mattered did.

And that was more than enough in her book.

hi hi! I'm a bit uncertain about asking this but, do you know any good games for someone trying to get into horror stuff? I have a bunch of friends who enjoy horror movies and games, so I wanted to try some out. I only watched my first horror movie in full last halloween, definitely scares me a lot but I know I enjoyed the overall experience, but I have enjoyed more unsettling stuff for years. not sure how to end this but um. bye! :)

Some horror games go into some icky subjects outside of death nd spooks so I will have to give a general content warning.

Games that are more thriller than they are super spooky are games like Resident Evil, Dino Crisis, and I thiiiiink Little Nightmares? Little Nightmares didn't strike me as something super terrifying but we each have our own pinch points, yeah?

If you want to go into something more narrative based, Soma is always a cool one to start with. Uhhh it is considered deep sea horror and it does have some deep sea moments so tread lightly if that shit scares you.

Which means I'm obligated to mention Subnautica. Not a horror game initially but it's pretty scary because, y'know, deep sea fears.

Quintessential horror games that are older but still hold up to this day are Silent hill 1-3, Fatal Frame 2, Siren Blood Curse (baby's first siren) Dead Space (It was recently remade and it's pretty good!) Eternal Darkness, Clock Tower, Kuon (a little jank) Rule of Rose (SUPER JANK), Haunting Ground (naicu). I'm sure there will be suggestions below as time goes on.

A lot of these games are super old and hard to get your hands on so emulating them isn't out of the question. Alternatively, you can watch silent playthroughs. Those are always fun.

I'm kind of against recommending FNAF as someone's first jump into horror because it's a ton of jumpscares with a whole lot of uhhh very simple gameplay. Nothing wrong with it at all, but I have reservations when it comes to having horror newbies get the shit scared out of them by unrelenting jumpscares. Not fun.

OH UHHHH okay. Gregory Horror Show is kind of survival horror. Kind of. it's really goofy and really cute. Kind of tense. but look at it:

uhhh yeah! I hope these are beginner friendly for you. Save Silent Hill PT for a party viewing or something. That's like, end game boss stuff right there.

Lemme give you more than one

A lot of the male characters the fandom obsesses over really aren't shit when you think about it. When you look into them, you realize that most of it is just fandom interpretation, and the characters on their own aren't worth the hype. And I'm not just talking about being underdeveloped. Even just poorly written in general. This is why I am largely uninterested in the Afton family with the exception of Elizabeth.

If Security Breach didn't bring us characters like Gregory, Vanessa and Cassie, I probably would've stayed invested purely in the animatronics.

And while we're on the subject of character writing, a lot female characters in fnaf get done dirty not only in canon but the fandom as well. The most infamous example and one I'm sure everyone agrees with is how Circus Baby was handled after Sister Location and in the books. I'm not completely opposed to the idea of her being manipulated by William.

But they dropped her original characterization entirely just to make her daddy's little girl. That being said, this also could've worked if we got to see how William controlled her become she's just... unwaveringly loyal and we don't get why. The most we could go off on is that William probably knowingly had his daughter endure controlled shocks. I'm so fucking glad Help Wanted 2 dropped and we got OG Circus Baby's characterization back.

But it's also weird that the writers of the fnaf novels thought it was a good idea to make Circus Baby of all characters an attempt at a femme fatale. The character possessed by a freaking kid.

Which is why I'm glad that at least with the games, Steel Wool has been doing better with how the female characters are handled.

That leaves the fandom as a problem the girlies can't be bad or nuanced. Because Elizabeth, who is also a victim much like her brothers, tends to get overlooked at best if nor outright villainized. Like, this girl being a brat makes her irredeemable somehow.

Which is so weird when a popular headcanon is that Michael is the Foxy bully and loved to pick on the Crying Child. But he gets treated with much more grace despite this.

William motherfucking Afton gets treated which more grace despite clearly being an irredeemable villain.

And let's not forget how people were trying to antagonize Vanessa for throwing away Mike's pills. Sure, she could've handled it better but she still helped him out. Hell, she's one of the reasons why Mike was able to get his shit together and become a better guardian for Abby. Despite all her flaws, if she wasn't there, Mike would've lost custody Abby.

There's probably more but those are the only ones I can think of.

Can we talk about how the Clickteam/Scott era of fnaf is overhyped?

Because since he retired, people have gotten rose tinted glasses about that point in fnaf history and have forgotten that a lot of the problems we have with fnaf's writing is his fault.

But because Steel Wool committed the crime of making one bad game, people blame them for fnaf's bad writing. Which isn't true because while Security Breach wasn't good, what we got in writing and what could've been is way better than what Scott would've given us.

My last hot take is that I'm noticing some elitism in the horror side of the fandom. Like, they seem to think that they're true fnaf fans because they're in it for the spooks and think that kids are ruining the franchise when... youngins have always been there. Hell, I have no doubt in my mind they were fnaf kids themselves.

Not even just kids in the fnaf fandom but anyone who dares indulge in fnaf any way they deem unacceptable like making goofy videos or even shipping characters, for example, are somehow ruining the franchise.

It's weird until you realize that a lot of them are toxic anyways, so of course they see harmless fun as a bad thing while actual dogshit behavior like grooming, bullying and the likes get overlooked.

I have to mentally prepare myself for them because I want to make a fnaf shipping series and while it's most likely that it'll just be isolated to just other shippers, you never know. Especially since I've seen two YouTubers make negative videos about fnaf pairings, there is a chance I will have to deal with one of them.

They also have rose tinted glasses about fnaf because they refuse to acknowledge that the franchise was already kinda goofy from the start and not horror 24/7.

The ghost kids still act like kids in the animatronics, they don’t trust any adults because of what happened to them. They’re real nice to kids though hehe

the ghosts in general can shift their form a little but have a consistent basic form... Usually a dark, vague form with a bright color to mark eyes/details. For example william as glitchtrap in princess quest.

scrap baby fixed herself up but intentionally left her hair looking a little crazy, she likes it better that way.

alsoooo Charlie in life had a huge interest in clowns (which is why security puppet looks like one) and that rubbed off on Liz a lot :3 hence why Liz liked circus baby so much..
