He was sure no one had seen him, but, just in case, he looked over his shoulder, unaware that a certain animatronic was now blocking his path as he walked right onto her legs, stumbling back and looking up at the ballerina animatronic that now stood over him.

NEW START BRAIN INJURY COMMUNITY CENTER

Born and raised in nearby Connecticut, and already obsessed with mid-century cartoons, "Greg Mike" Mensching says it was on childhood trips into New York City that he saw "the creative potential of reinventing public spaces through art and design." Transforming walls himself since his early teens Greg Mike's skills at fusing the two influences have made his colorful "Surrealist Pop Art" world of "gleefully twisted characters" immediately recognizable. Now based in Atlanta where he founded the @OuterSpaceProject in 2015, Greg Mike traveled to Worcester, Massachusetts in 2016 where he painted this mashup of characters for @PowWowWorcester. On Salem St Near Franklin, the piece welcomes greets clients with traumatic brain injuries at BAMSI's New Start center.  @gregmike/

“CAT AND MOUF"

Born and raised in Connecticut, Greg Mike Mensching says it was childhood trips in to NYC that opened his eyes to the potential of art and design for reinventing public spaces. Back home Greg Mike was soon fusing big city street art and his obsession with mid-century cartoons. Now based in Atlanta, Mike is not only founder and creative director of ABV agency and gallery, but in 2015 he founded his own street art festival, the @OuterSpaceProject offering the ATL a rich mix of art, music, design, sports, and culture. A year later he was 700 miles to the north participating in the annual 1xRun curated @MuralsintheMarket festival in Detroit where he added this Orleans St composition of some of his trademark elements, including the snaggle-toothed Loudmouf he's perhaps best known for in the lower left.  @gregmike/
