Alright so, Rebecca Sugar drew some sketches/released some storyboard stuff that never made it into the show and—-I love them??

I mean overdramatic people on twitter are being dramatic but those with rational and normal brains are either laughing at the former or, like me, enjoying how messy this would be.

Messy in the best of ways cause the journey to them making up fully in the show was rough enough but this??

This is a whole next step that I would be absolutely down for. Simply for the fact that these two deserve MAJOR happiness after what’s happened in their loves. ESPECIALLY when it comes to Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond.

Hilariously this makes Pearls reaction to the Greg/Steven Fusion all the funnier.

there is no real report of their source but unless i am absolutely fucking blind this looks remarcably like rebecca sugar's herself artstyle and handwriting.

this obviously showed up on twitter and it has predictably ruffled some feathres to put it diplomatically.

i personally im popping the biggest fucking champaigne bottles because i was an early shipper of this most cursed of ships all the way back in 2013 when the show first came out. but also i am very aware that i am handling dinamite fandom wise.

wether it comes from becky sucrose herself or some incredibly talented impersonator this has been a really nice thing to see

i don't doubt that there is some timeline were she would go to an extreme like this for Rose's affection despite maybe having some trauma from shapeshifting, considering she's gone to extremes before to get validation or comfort from others. i see why it was scrapped (replaced with amethyst shapeshifting event?) since this is even more messed up than amethyst's 'rose' shapeshifting and probably would have made people hate on pearl too much, but still a very interesting thought though
