Plant of the Day
Thursday 2 February 2023
The invasive succulent Sedum acre (biting stonecrop, bird's bread, common stonecrop, country pepper, creeping Jack, gold dust, golden moss, Jack of the buttery, love and tangle, tangle tail, wall moss, wall pepper, creeping Charlie) can be useful for green roofing. It naturally produces a mat able to withstand drought and full sun, here water stress has caused a reddish colouring to the fleshy leaves. Yellow, star shaped flowers are produced from May to July and the nectar is popular with bees.

Figueras Stables by Estudio Ramos
This project is located in a distinctive region of Argentina known as “The Pampas”. Pampa is an indigenous word meaning “plains” or “flatland”. Along with its mild climate and fertile soils, the area is ideal for agriculture. When traveling through this area, there is an overwhelming feeling of a never-ending horizontality. The horizon, as in middle of the ocean, becomes a very strong element. The poet Atahualpa Yupanqui refers to the landscape of The Pampas as “serene and pensive”. This project, with its pronounced horizontalism and simplicity of elements, attempts to make a reference to all of these themes.
The building is a stable for polo horses with 44 stalls, an area of 3850 square meters and a length of 180 meters. It’s composed of two long volumes and freestanding walls, which when articulated, create diverse spaces and situations.

Capitol Hill 5-Star Built Green Home Features Solar Panels and a Green Roof
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is how the facade of the house looks like with wooden sidings on the exterior. The architecture of the house made use of simple lines and beautiful geometry that completed its contemporary appeal. The house has a balcony and an upper deck.
Tumblr media
Aside from the sidings, the flooring is also covered in wood for the terrace and upper deck. It unifies the look of the home because of the materials it used. You can also see here the solar panels as well as the green roof. Although these are not seen from the street, it makes the home energy-efficient.
Tumblr media
Seen here is the living room with a glass sliding door and windows. It is bright, airy, and very cozy. Notice that despite the simple furniture in the space, it looks stylish because of the throw pillows and the decors. The wooden coffee table gives the home a barnyard feel.
Tumblr media
The house has an open floor plan which means that most of the areas are located in the same space as the living room. The image shows us the living area, kitchen and dining space as well as hallways that lead to the bedroom and bathrooms.
Tumblr media
The kitchen used reclaimed wood adding a barnyard and rustic feel to the contemporary feel of the space. The kitchen cabinets are done in glossy white which is a good contrast to the backsplash and the wood.
Tumblr media
Modern kitchen equipment is used in the space and it has stainless kitchen appliances. One side of the kitchen is lined with tall floor-to-ceiling cabinets in glossy white.
Tumblr media
This is the dining area with a lovely wall decor. Gray dining chairs surround the wooden dining table. to define the space, a beige area rug is added to the dining room furniture. Read Also: Amazing Upshot of a Solar Powered Reclaimed Home in Seattle
Tumblr media
There is also a small gaming area in the house. What makes this look interesting is its use of a sliding barnyard door. Also, the colors and materials used here are the same as the ones in other parts of the house.
Tumblr media
The bathroom is spacious and it has everything one needs to feel comfortable. A large mirror makes the space appear visually larger. It is also nice that there are plants inside the space.
Tumblr media
The other side of the bathroom is the shower and bath area which is enclosed in glass. One has the option to use the bathtub or just take a shower.
Tumblr media
The terrace features an outdoor dining area with wicker furniture. It is the perfect spot to relax and dine with family and friends.
Tumblr media
The house is indeed different from the rest of the homes in the area. Aside from the solar panels and green roof, the design is also unique because of its modern and contemporary touch.

Fendi Factory - designed by @piuarch "Imagine a project that becomes an integral part of the landscape: meet the new @fendi factory, a complex of about 14,000 square metres rising in the #tuscancountryside . An open dialogue between architecture and #natural surroundings, where the building, with its extensive green #roof, becomes an integrated ecological system that recreates the contours of the land to restore the shape of the original hillside. The project #concept was defined, in the preliminary phase, together with landscape architect Antonio Perazzi. The green roof of the new @fendi Factory is hollowed out by patios that disrupt its continuity lighting up the interior spaces and stands out as a hallmark of the project. Starting from an innovative approach, the building stretches horizontally over a single level to create a free form driven by the needs of the production process. The #siteplan combines different functions, merging them into fluid pathways. A sort of backbone connecting the spaces, with transparent walls, also visually unites the different uses while encouraging people to move around and socialise. The project for the new #FendiFactory was conceived around a high standard of landscaping and advanced #energy efficiency. Ventilation and natural light, use of materials that evoke the colours of the location, transparent external and internal walls, all ensure a visual and physical, almost osmotic exchange between the artificial and natural #environments, between the interior and exterior." . ⭕ What do you think about this design and visualization? 🔻Tag your Architect Friends! . ❌Turn ON Post Notifications to see new Contents.❗ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Follow @archdlofficial for more! 🖤 #factory #factorydesign #fendi #architecture #landscapedesign #greenroof (at Tuscan Countryside, Italy) https://www.instagram.com/p/CocNzMhM274/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

#ArchitectureNow #Architecture #Nature #NatureDesign #Landscape #Sustainable #Ecofriendly #ClimateChange #Green #Recycle #Enviroment #Eco #GoGreen #GreenArchitecture #GreenRoof #SustainableArchitecture #هندسةمعمارية #Arquitectura #वास्तुकला (en Copenhagen) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoIHBdprya7/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
