Quando ho bussato alla porta di NOP non sapevo cosa o chi avrei trovato. (In verità era una serra -un atelier botanico nel verde- e la porta non c’era, poiché accade spesso che non ci sia e forse è proprio questo che me le fa piacere tanto. Uno spazio che ha un tetto ma senza porte, libertà di entrare, crescere e fluire.) Dal nostro incontro sono nate molte visioni, ma una in special modo ha preso vita. Mi sono immersa nelle forme delle sue piante e ne ho creato collages. Mettendo assieme volti e corpi di donne alle forme di piante sono nate Le Ladies, donne con un proprio nome e ciascuna con la sua arte (un po’ magica) che ognuna porta dentro di se. Ogni donna una pianta, ogni donna una storia. L’equilibrista / La Coltiva sogni / L’intreccia storie /La Tuffatrice / La Tutrice / L’ipnotizzatrice. Queste sono solo una piccola parte dell’universo multiforme di anime che abita noi, esseri umani. Book Collage for Turtles All The Way Down by John Green

Gosh, it’s been a while since I did one of these! And especially a John Green one! It’s basically coming full circle right? Considering the very first one I made of these was for The Fault in Our Stars.

I feel like my style has changed a LOT in the 4(?) years since I started making these. I don’t know if it’s for the better for you guys, but I definitely feel better about how they turn out.

Onwards and upwards, hopefully many more collages to come! (When I find some time off from writing....)
