I remember seeing the Vigilante Inko AU and wanting to combine it with the DFO and Nurse!Deku AUs.
Just think about it~ AFO would be looking at Green Light (Inko's vigilante alias~ Thanks @jknerd ) and examining all the times she always helps people in every way she can. He KNOWS that she would be perfect to be the mother of his child. To lure her in, he used a job offer for a secretary in one of his front companies, Koga Constructions. Inko quickly took the offer because of its high pay.
AFO, as Hisashi, would subtly flirt with Inko, slowly advancing towards her. After a certain incident in his office, they started dating before getting married after a few years and baby Izuka (fem!Izuku) came soon after.
In his honest thought, AFO would just have Inko as a pet since her original purpose is to bear and raise his potential child. However, as time passes, he genuinely falls in love with her and still does.

sellllllll it's meeeeee. hehehehehehehehehhehe
so for ur writing exercises.... deku + light? please? pretty please?
:3c
heheh heheh hehe niku. this will be the death of me. me writing izuku for the first time 🥲 i will only do this for you </3
contains: established relationship, spoilers for the end of the manga, aged up deku but sometime in between the final outcome (he doesn't get the h*** s*** from bakugo yet), mentions of sex and scars
deku + light
izuku only sleeps with the lights off.
it isn't uncommon; many people you know can't sleep with even just a sliver of light turned on somewhere in the room. but the difference with izuku, you learn, is not that he's unable to stand the light―it's that he refuses to.
you quickly pick up on it the first few times he sleeps over.
he fidgets in bed, pretty badly, actually. the nightlight you sleep with glows a warm yellow, illuminating the side of your face and coating him in its afterglow. you chalk it up to nerves, how he pulls at his sleeves and adjusts his position constantly; he is, after all, one of the most anxious people you know.
and this relationship―it's new. heck, even you feel a little jittery with his arm wrapped around you.
the rhythmic tapping on your hip only increases pace. you don't think he realizes it, so your hand gently reaches for his, intertwining your fingers as you turn around in his arms.
he's close, nearly touching you nose-to-nose; the proximity leaves you fuzzy, a little ticklish, so you giggle, a soft "oops," as the freckles dusting his face almost glisten under the warm light.
"hi," you whisper, meeting his eyes; they stare back at you wide in surprise, "can't sleep?"
he looks almost guilty at your question, as if you’ve caught him with the one thing he's been trying to keep from you.
"just—" his voice comes out louder than intended, prompting him to chuckle nervously as he readjusts his volume, "just winding down, sorry."
you inch closer, nuzzling his nose lightly, "it's okay."
"did i wake you?" he asks, cheeks flushing pink as his eyebrows furrow in immediate concern. his expression is something caught between stifling a grin and feeling sorry.
you shake your head against the pillow you share, strands of your hair tangling with his. "just winding down," you tease, watching as his gaze turns softer, eyelids drooping heavier.
sometimes, you think, izuku holds the world in his eyes―a deep, dark green, the color of life. most times, they look at you with wonderment, bright and alive; photos from inko tell you they're the eyes of his inner child.
on nights like this one, however, they hide a depth in them weighted by what you can only assume is time, and all that has happened to him in such a short span of it.
you try your best to understand what lies beneath them, knowing full well he'll never tell you outright what truly bothers him.
"is it the light?" you bring up, some time after laying in silence.
"hm?" he clarifies.
"do you have a hard time sleeping with the nightlight?"
his eyes widen briefly once more, as if shocked that you've caught him again. these split second reactions are ones you've learned to be attentive to when it comes to izuku.
"no," he tries to lie, but you know better as you turn to your nightstand and reach for its switch, "you don't–"
"it was hurting my eyes," you quickly make up an excuse, tucking yourself closer under his chin as you cut off his attempt to deny it again.
finding out that the light was the problem was the easy part—
you'd begun to notice much earlier on that izuku was barely rested on the nights he'd spend at your place. it was only when your old nightlight broke that you began to notice him waking up much later than you did, groggily rousing from a deep sleep.
—what was hard, was figuring out why.
at first, you suspected it was his scars.
"s-sorry, it's not—" he'd warned you, right as your hands gripped the hem of his shirt the first time you were about to have sex, "—it's not nice."
you didn't care though; you still don't care, and you've made that abundantly clear to him since. you love izuku and all his parts―all the nicks and jaggedy pieces of skin that make up who he is.
when you eventually ask him about it, with a request that he be honest with you for once, he tells you that it is and it isn't―the reason why he exclusively sleeps with the lights off, that is.
it's an odd, comforting relationship he has with his body—that he is simultaneously grateful and sorry for how its become a canvas, both painted and marred to symbolize japan’s historic last stand.
you find out the real reason when you catch him staring at his hands.
he does it often, when he thinks you aren't looking—his fists bunched up in the same way he used to watch the power of one for all course through his fingertips; the same way he used to prepare them in battle.
there’s a faraway look in his eyes that lingers, you notice—a little wistful if anything.
“do you miss it? you finally ask. he gives you the same shocked look he does every time, as if he’s been caught with a secret he’s been trying to hide.
he’s learned a fair bit about you now, too, though—lying to you is futile when you’ve perfected reading his truth. he stares at his fists again as you take a seat beside him, moving to give you space. you rest your head on his shoulder gently, waiting.
“sometimes,” he admits, but you know it’s an understatement.
“i think about the vestiges a lot. i miss them the most, i think,” he continues, clenching his fists tightly, “i always try to reach out to them, but i guess it doesn’t work that way.”
“i… i try to replicate the right conditions every night, but…” then he lets go, stretching his fingers out wide. the scars on the surface ripple through his skin, telling its own story.
you hum, acknowledging what he means. silence sits with the two of you as you take his hand in yours, slowly unfurling his fingers until his palm reveals itself to you. it’s rough to the touch, seasoned with hard work and all that he’s been through.
“is that why you prefer the dark?” you ask softly, after some time.
it's not often that you stay up later than izuku does. when you do though, you catch him shifting in bed, moving from side-to-side. you pretend you aren't awake, but you hear him mumble their names, dwindling in volume as he dozes off to sleep.
he stares at his palm for a moment before he admits quietly, "yeah." his brows furrow as if contemplating whether to say more, but he shakes his head, dark green strands swaying to the beat of his embarrassed chuckle, "nevermind, it's silly."
"it's not."
you intertwine your fingers, sandwiching his hand between yours. a slight sheen glosses over his eyes as he tilts his head up to look at you. he draws in a breath, before it spills over.
"it's..." he finds the words, and you squeeze his hand in comfort, "it's easier to believe it was all real when the lights are out, and that maybe it can happen again."

we are made of stardust
contents ౨ৎ ⋆ i. midoriya x fem reader. 0.8k words — childhood friends to lovers. fluff. astronomy references.
It's hard for someone to pinpoint their earliest memories. Maybe it was the moment they blew their candles out on their first birthday, or when they scraped their knee while learning to ride a bike.
For you, it’s the smell of lavender fabric softener.
You think your earliest memory is of the sight of his freckled cheeks, with nothing but the green light of the glow-in-the-dark stars on his ceiling illuminating them.
Of sleepovers, reading the most recent copies of your favorite manga that you picked out from the library together under the blanket, holding the coolest pages up for the other to see, and hurriedly tucking the books under his pillows when Inko came in to check if you two were sleeping.
You remember his giggles as he tugs at the blanket to cover the both of you, big deep forest eyes dancing with glee. ‘To protect you from monsters,’ he whispers, only five years old, yet saying it with the unwavering confidence of All Might in those videos he loved to play to death on TV over and over again.
Inko chuckles, noticing you two once again rewinding the video for the third time, entranced by all might as he saves cats from a tree while rescuing civilians from an explosive villain, “faster than the speed of sound!” the title reads, while placing a plate of sliced fruit on the coffee table. He was starting to grow out of his favorite All Might onesie now.
Would he ever outgrow you?
Just as the moon orbits the sun, you can’t remember a time when you weren’t stuck to his side.
You’re the one holding his hands in the pool when he ditches his floaties for the first time, slowly guiding him as he kicks and kicks, holding him tight and not letting him sink.
You’re the one jumping and stomping on his bullies' sandcastles at the beach, when they try to ruin his first.
Accidentally, you’re the first one he tells when he passes the entrance exam for UA. He was calling his mother on the phone when you overheard him saying not to tell you yet, because he wanted to surprise you in person. His mother and you prepare a cute little party for him before he gets home, and upon opening the door to the apartment he’s greeted with a rain of confetti and a table full of his favorite dishes.
Streamers fall around him, and his eyes light up like shooting stars as he hugs his mother and you in his arms. ‘Proud of you, crybaby,’ is what you fondly whisper in his ear and between tears he gives a choked up little laugh.
Just as the earth needs rain, he waters your gardens and tends to your flowers.
He frowns when you frown, cries when you cry. It’s been over a decade but you’ll never forget the big fat tears that ran down his face when you jumped off the swings a little too early and fell on your face. The fourth grade teachers thought he was the one that got hurt.
When he places a bandaid on your knee with a worried pout on his lips, he lends you his light, and you shine it back.
Only five years old and in your mind, he was already a hero.
“What are you thinking about?”
Your eyes flutter open at the sound of Izuku’s soft voice. His firm thighs support your head from underneath and you wonder if he’s been working out even more than usual. He grins at your dazed face.
“Were you sleeping on me?” He teases. “For free?”
You roll your eyes as a yawn hits you, stretching in his lap. “Sorry I actually forgot to bring my card with me for this nap, sir.”
“My services aren’t cheap, you know.” He fakes a huff like he’s being scammed big time, and you have to laugh. He was so cute when he was dramatic. “I guess I can start a tab for you.”
“Aw, thanks.” You deadpan, and he snorts in response.
Taking his hand in yours, you trace the scars along his skin, addicted to the feeling of where rough scars meet his soft, baby skin.
He can’t help but blush.
He still gets it, this look in his eyes, like when he makes an observation he’s never realized before amongst his mutterings. Whenever he sees All Might merch on display in store windows, despite already owning most of it already.
But even more so, when he looks at you.
His gaze softens as he admires you in his lap, the slope of your nose and the shape of your mouth that his lips must have traced over hundreds of times by now. When he received that fateful golden strand of hair months ago, and after his mother the first person he thought of protecting was you. Though he knows you’re more than capable of doing it yourself, he wants to. He wonders if you realize it, the reason he saves. If not, he’s willing to remind you, over and over again until it’s woven into the beautiful constellation of your brain.
You’re the one that’s always been his hero.

Spending 4th of July w zuzu!!!
Usually on holidays everyone on campus is supposed to go home and spend time with their families, but of course it's tradition for you all to spend some time with each other before you all part to be with your families.
You all hung out in the common area and watched a movie and laughed together eating snacks and wearing little onesies giving your last hugs to each other before leaving. You, izuku, and katsuki were the first to leave you all went together because izukus mom loved you and he loved that she loved you so he couldn't imagine going and not bringing you with him, and katsuki was basically family to inko, plus his mom and dad were barbequing among other things.
The three of you caught the train to head over to the bakugous house. You sat next to izuku lying your head on his shoulders he laid his on top of yours with a soft smile as he closed his eyes sighing in content. Katsuki groaned and looked out the window your lovey dovey bullshit was making him sick to his stomach, he couldn't believe he had to ride all the way to his house with you two.
Upon arriving you see inko welcoming you all in hugging each and every one of you. She leads you all to the backyard to see katsukis mother sitting on a chair watching her husband and toshinori [allmight] put food on the grill.
"mistuki, look who's arrived!!"
Inko calls out to her friend catching her attention, the blonde legs down her sunglasses to see her son, his friend and a girl she's never met before, you.
"well I'll be damned. Who this little firecracker?"
She asks standing and walking over to you all with open arms, she hugs izuku first with a sway before rubbing her hands in her hand through her sons hair who pushes her arm away, she slaps him in the head before he groans loudly and yells at her, they begin arguing over literally nothing as izuku chuckles nervously and turns to you. You give him a warm smile before mistuki ignores her son and turns to you with a happy smile.
"well I'll be damned. Little izuku has himself a cute lil girlfriend!"
"auntie mistuki this is y/n, my normal sized girlfriend!"
You wave politely with a slight bow to your head, you weren't exactly shy you just didn't want to exactly talk yet. You were afraid you'd say the wrong thing and embarrass yourself. You've already won over inko but katsukis mom was hot, her opinion mattered a lot to inko as well so if you didn't make a good impression she might think something bad of you. You cannot let that happen, you speak your mind often uncontrollably so it's best you keep your mouth shut so you don't offend anyone.
Izuku placed his arm around your waist and planted a kiss to your forehead, you wrapped your arms around his neck and buried you face in his neck. Mistuki and inko gush about how cute the two of you are.
"KATSUKI! WHY DON'T YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND YET?!"
You all see mistuki yell and question her son who tells her to quote "stop talking to me you old hag!" Which leads to her stomping away to hit her son with her shoe.
Izuku laughed and turned to you he looked at you with the most love filled eyes in the world. His blazing wide emerald green eyes peering down at you. His pupils were literally heart shaped. He had that stupid wobbly lovesick smile on his face his freckles being flushed with a light blush. He was adorable.
"what 'zuku."
You say looking up to him, he shakes his head and just continues to look down at you. He was so in love with you he couldn't help but admire you, your face, your eyes, your lips. You were mesmerizing and he was glad to call you his.
"I love you."
"I love you too, silly."
AN: anyways chat happy 4th of July or wtv if any of you even celebrate ts. I'm black and my family will use any little day as an excuse to barbecue and throw water balloons n what not.

for ur birthday bash (happy extended bday by the way !!!!): nb izuku discovering theyre nb w fellow nb mentor!mic - w shitty parent!inko. as a bonus. :3
“Listener?”
Izumi blinked, dragging his eyes away from the ground so far below to need the gaze of the hero leaning casually against the low wall of the roof next to them.
(Mostly casually. Izuku didn’t miss they kept themself within arms reach. Just in case.)
“You’re Present Mic.” Normally Izuku would have been thrilled about it. Would have already been chattering away about quirks support gear, mind flashing through a dozen questions he has had from the moment he first heard them on the radio. But…
He was tired. He was hurting. He was… something that he couldn’t explain.
“I am, Listener. We’re across the street from the station, you know. Just right over there.” They pointed to a building across the way, tall and covered in neon signs.
Huh. Izuku hadn’t noticed. He had just picked the first building with mostly easy roof access he had found to think. An increasingly common occurrence after his meeting with All Might if he was entirely honest.
It figured he would pick the one spitting distance away from a hero on today of all days.
“So,” Present Mic drew the word out, long and almost teasing if not for the way they were hovering, “wanna talk about it?”
“Talk about what?”
They shrugged. “In my experience people don’t come to sit on the edge of roof’s with that kind of expression unless they have something worth talking about.”
Izuku shouldn’t. He should leave. He should run. He should—
“Every time I look in the mirror I want to scream.” Not the confession he had intended to say, but, considering how the last time he told a pro hero he was Quirkless went, the safer one. “My best friend hates me, and every time he hurts me or breaks my things I think I might hate him a little too but if I admit that he’s not really my friend then I’m actually alone. My mom keeps calling me the man of the house and her baby boy and every time she does I want to pull my skin off, but she doesn’t notice because she would have to actually look at me to see which she hasn’t done since I was five. I don’t even think she stays at the apartment just leaves some money on the table at the start of every month and a note to ‘Be a man.’”
Present Mic hummed so low Izuku could feel it in his chest. “Sounds like you have a whole lot to talk about, Listener.”
A choked laugh forced its way through Izuku’s too tight throat. He scrubbed under his eyes harshly to force away tears he couldn’t let fall. They didn’t help him last time he talked to a hero after all. “Yeah. Guess I do.”
Another hum, then, “Do you feel like a boy, Listener?”
Izuku opened his mouth, a reflexive agreement on his tongue, then snapped it closed again.
Did he feel like a boy? He had to… right? But no, he didn’t. Not when the hero standing next to him was proof.
(How a stranger had noticed in less than twenty minutes when no one else in Izuku’s life had said something that he was going to ignore.)
“You don’t need to answer now. Just think about it, yeah?” Present Mic tipped their head back into the warmth of the sun, a smile that wasn’t anywhere near happy on their face. Their hair, down Izuku realized when he finally turned to look at them, practically glowed in the light. Liquid gold hanging around their shoulders.
Then, the moment passed, and Present Mic looked back at them with a smile that matched the warmth in their eyes. “If you want, there’s a training room in the station. I could show you some moves to protect yourself if that boy tries to hurt you again.”
Izuku knew he shouldn’t. Knew that it wouldn’t end well. Knew that if he was left alone on another roof, the story wouldn’t end so well a second time.
But as he looked at their green eyes and the gloved hand they held out to him, Izuku couldn’t have stopped the question if he had wanted to.
“Do you think that someone without a quirk can still be a hero?”
“Of course.” Present Mic didn’t so much as hesitate. Don’t even have to think about it. Like it was a given. “Plenty of heroes have non combat quirks, why couldn’t someone quirkless be a hero like them?”
Izuku laughed as he took that gloved hand, feeling lighter than he had in years.
#the elf talks#mha#bnha#the elf’s birthday week bash#Izuku eventually uses they/them pronouns but baby steps#Hizashi wanted them off of the roof first and foremost everything else is step two#they become Izuku’s mentor instead of all might and help them train for UA and beyond tbh

Luminary: Curious is going through the wringer in this AU.
Firstly, because she decided to investigate Aldera to try and gauge the students reception to "Free Quirk Use" and thought that since everyone was pointing to a Green Haired student that she may as well try to date his mom, only to find out that "Hey, her quirk doesn't really lend itself out to everyday life. How is she not a quivering mess".
Secondly, Because of her dating Inko she gets introduced to Inkos friends. The result is that she starts investigating both Aldera and the MLA more thoroughly and relizes that they're just a bunch of bullies in a darwinistic cult that is filled with hypocrits. This results in her ever shattering faith in Re-Destro, and realizing that while the HPSC isn't perfect they technically do allow Quirks to be used outside of the Hero Profession so long as they have the appropriate license. The only problem is getting those liscenses and the lack of variety.
Thirdly, in an effort to convince herself that Re-Destro is right, that the MLA is right she interviews both the students of Aldera, and a private interview with the Bakugo family that gave sad realizations about the state of the students psyche. Not to soon after would Himiko snap and she interviews the Toga's at the behest of Re-Destro, as he would try to make it a point about Free Quirk Use.
The sheer panic and loathing Himiko's parents gave off because of their daughters Quirk-with the help of a little voice in her head that sounds like Izuku-she uses an alternative pen name to publish a hit piece on Quirks, their dietary need and affects on the mind they can give while she searches for Himiko herself.
This culminates in her first step to properly sheeding Re-Destros hold on her by offering her hand to a scared girl, having it accepted.
(She also may, or may not have adopted Himiko a little bit afterward)
Dating Inko wasn't even the plan, it just happened and she had to deal with falling for someone with a relatively weak Quirk but strong convictions. Meanwhile Bakugou has a strong Quirk but all of his convictions are to compensate for the damage the MLA did to him.
(Also, side note, not much happens to paint the HPSC in a positive light)
And then everything about Himiko happens but instead of focusing on their free Quirk use rhetoric the MLA (including part of her) only wants to use her as a martyr.
Luckily she's spending most of her time away from Deika now, and interacting with the Midoriyas, so she's doing better

Drown in it. - Chapter 1
Izuku Midoriya was born with a rage.
From the moment he drew his first breath, he let it be known to all around him. He screamed, he fought, he bit, and when consciousness finally grasped him and the effects of his actions became known, his rage calmed, simmering down to a low rumble in his chest. And yet, the heat of his passion remained stronger than ever. From comic books to biology, his interests varied, and he always kept his mother on her toes when each new addiction rose to the surface. He had combed through comic books, determined to learn to draw them himself, only to one day abandon them and turn to a morbid interest in taxidermy. Each month was a different obsession, each doubling in intensity as his mother fought to keep up with her son’s demands.
That was until he had seen him.
His mother had earned tickets to see a famous composer’s performance from her job as a thank-you for doing so much overtime, and she’d dragged her reluctant son away from his slaving over pinned insects to accompany her to the opera house. Inko had dressed in her finest black dress, a single strand of pearls adorning her neck as she painted her lips red, starkly contrasting her dark green hair. She’d fussed over Izuku, combing his unruly hair this way and that until eventually, he’d stilled, letting her pull him into his Sunday best before the two departed, their front row seats allowing them a clear view to the piano on stage. Izuku was immediately entranced- the shining ivory keys drawing in his curious eyes as he sat at the edge of his seat, wiggling to get a better look. The sign outside shone brightly with the composer's name, and as anticipation gripped him, Izuku found himself whispering the name of the man; All Might.
He repeated the name over and over in his brain, feeling it out, giving weight to it, enjoying the way it stirred interest in his head. He looked down at the pamphlet in his mother’s lap, tilting his head to read it better.
‘Tonight only, Japan’s greatest composer All Might performs his unfinished manifesto; One for All, a song of love and loss.
Passed down throughout eight generations of composers, ‘One for All’ has remained unfinished for over eighty years, each new composer adding their own story and vitality into the piece whilst still carrying on the first’s hopes and dreams- for music to unite all the people of the world’
Izuku didn’t realize his mouth had fallen open until his mother tutted him, tapping his chin with a gentle finger.
“Izuku honey, close your mouth, you’ll drool on yourself,” he snapped his mouth shut, turning to his mother with a question already burning on his tongue. As if she sensed his restlessness, Inko sighed, a pained look in her eyes.
“No, honey, I can’t get you a piano. I’m afraid my job doesn’t pay me nearly enough to be able to afford one… Maybe you can find a teacher and learn from them?” she said hopefully. Izuku frowned, sinking back into his seat with a huff.
“Whatever, it’s probably gonna be lame anyways,” he pouted, kicking his legs as he sunk low in his seat. Inko sighed considering telling him off but the lowering of the auditorium lights made her eyes widen and drew her attention to the stage immediately. Even little Izuku, so determined to be indifferent to it all, sat up a little straighter as a hushed murmur rippled through the crowd. A man appeared from the edge of the stage, blonde hair a shock as his electric blue eyes scanned the crowd with a kind yet determined gaze. A moment passed in pure silence before the crowd erupted in cheers and claps, the man on the stage raising a hand to wave at the crowd as he smiled, earning a louder round of applause and screams from the audience that followed him until he sat, straightening his sheet music before him as the crowd began to settle, the room filled to the brim with anticipation as All Might rolled his shoulders, fingers poised over the keys as he waited. The moment seemed to draw on forever, and Izuku found himself trembling with anticipation before finally -finally- All Might began to play.
It was… The most beautiful melody he had ever heard. The song carried the essence of melancholy and loss along with the feelings of determination and triumph, each note ringing across the quiet auditorium and rattling inside Izuku’s brain as he stared wide-eyed at the way the man on the stage played so beautifully as if the music itself had been written into his soul and he was pouring his vitality into the notes. His face was peaceful, yet the way his brows knit together betrayed his true feelings. This was not just a song- no, it was a tribute concocted by the man before him and his predecessors, a tribute to love, to loss, to hope, to everything in the world. Izuku had no words to describe the emotions that arose in his chest, and he found his vision began to warp and waver before he blinked and tears rolled down his cheeks. He sat in stunned silence through the eight minutes of the song, his lap wet with tears his mother had failed to notice had even begun to fall in the first place as she too was entranced by the ebb and flow of the music.
After what Izuku thought was far too little time, the song finished, hanging on a note that left the audience holding their breaths waiting for more, more, more. They wanted- no, they needed more, they needed the satisfying climax of the story, they needed the certain end notes that wrapped the song up in its perfect bouquet, ready to be replicated and replayed over and over again by eager fingers and eager listeners. And yet, those notes never came. All Might’s hands moved to his lap as he took a deep breath, standing up and facing the crowd before bowing deeply. A second of stunned silence grasped the audience once more before the cheers erupted all around, weeping people leaping to their feet and screaming their praises, hands raw from clapping as they gave the man the loudest standing ovation they could muster. Izuku stood on his seat, bawling as he clapped, trying to draw the attention of the incredible man on stage as he tugged on his mother’s shoulder, pointing to the stage.
“Mama- mama he’s so cool! I wanna be just like him!” he wailed, wiping at his face furiously as he waved at the stage will all his strength. Somehow, as if a hand had pointed him out among all those faces, All Might locked eyes with Izuku. The boy’s world seemed to stop, and he broke out into a watery smile as he waved at the composer, who waved back with a kind smile on his face.
In that short exchange, that fiery rage inside izuku changed. It warped and blossomed into an intense passion, and he finally knew where it was calling to. He had searched for a piano teacher the morning after the concert, and after finding a suitable one he had begged his mother for lessons.
“What about your insect pinning…?” Inko had said with a tone of slight dismay. Izuku had rummaged through his drawer and pulled out a frame with three wonkily pinned butterflies, preserved the same way they’d been in the book his mother had gifted him.
“I only did these three, I found them in the garden and wanted to give them to you,” he had said meekly.
Inko was a strong woman, but at the sight of her son’s pleading eyes, she buckled and eventually gave in, enrolling her son in piano lessons at the class down the road. Present Studios, it was called, owned by the husbands Mr. Aizawa and Mr. Yamada. Izuku had taken a liking to the two immediately, and after the first month of practicing, that fire in him had still not given out. After the second, Inko grew anxious that the time was drawing to a close, and her son would soon find another hobby to throw himself into, but the month came and went and Izuku still powered on, as fierce and determined as ever.
A year had passed, then two, then ten, and Izuku Midoriya was now in his third and final year of high school, his passion for music had never dwindled, only grown stronger. Coincidentally, his piano teacher also happened to be teaching at UA High School, and he had been Izuku’s homeroom teacher for the last three years as well as his piano teacher for thirteen. In his world of music, Izuku had found friends who were also passionate about the subject, although never as much as him. Iida Tenya and Yaoyorozu Momo had enrolled in Mic Studios two years after he had, and he had always offered a helping hand to them despite being younger than the two. In return, the three had sparked a close friendship that extended to a fourth, Ochako Uraraka, a student who had enrolled in Mr. Yamada’s singing classes and often joined the three piano students during her breaks.
Now, Izuku was leaning over Iida’s desk, gushing about a new piece of music he’d discovered while digging through dusty vinyls.
“It’s amazing! I was always familiar with piano and violin duets but I never had thought of violin and guitar! I think Yaomomo would love this piece- I’ve been translating the guitar parts into piano so we can play with Kaminari next band practice and-” he was cut off as a book hit the back of his head, making him fall face first into Iida’s desk.
“Bakugo!” Iida barked, raising a hand over Izuku’s head “No throwing things in the classroom!”
“If that goddamned nerd stopped yapping about his shitty music then I wouldn’t have thrown it at him! Tell him to shut it!” Bakugo yelled back, rolling his eyes as Izuku glared at him.
“It’s not shitty music! Just because you can’t understand it, doesn’t mean it’s bad!”
“Izuku! Language! Don’t engage with Bakugo, you know he’s only doing this to rile you up,” Iida’s voice took a gentler tone as he ended his sentence, pushing his glasses up his nose as he peered at Izuku with a furrowed brow. Izuku tensed for a moment before exhaling loudly.
“You’re right, he doesn’t even know anything about piano, why should I-” A hand slammed onto Iida’s desk and Izuku jumped back, staring wide-eyed at Bakugo’s scowl.
“For the record, I do know a thing or two about piano, stupid Deku. My parents have been dragging me across the country to catch every single one of All Might’s piano performances every time he’s had one, and on top of that they’ve made me study the old bastard’s scores until I was seeing them in my sleep,” Izuku couldn’t help the excited grin that crossed his face.
“Wow- Kacchan, I didn’t know you were a fan of All Might too! I’ve also been to all his concerts- well, most of them, my first one was with my mom when I was little but- how did I never know this?! We’ve been friends since we were in second grade!” Bakugo rolled his eyes, shoving his hands deep in his pockets as he turned to walk back to his group of friends.
“Maybe you’re just not as attentive as you thought you were, Deku. There’s a lot about me you don’t know.”
________________________
Izuku tugged at his hair, muttering to himself as he poured over his scores. He was going to do it- today, he’d send his very own manifesto to All Might in hopes of becoming one of his students. He’d been constructing this melody over the past three years, and the tear splotches and coffee stains on the otherwise immaculate piece of paper were evidence of that. He was coming to the end, the final home stretch of his song before he could finally call it finished and sign it off, but the melodies he once couldn’t get out of his brain seemed to have escaped him. He’d spent days obsessing over the last few bars of the song, making sure it ended perfectly and resonated with the rest of his piece. Iida had tried his best to help him, even bringing in Yaoyorozu in on her breaks from her homework and afterschool lessons to try and help push Izuku in the direction of finally completing his work, but even she seemed to be running short on ideas.
“You could always have the ending be a small repeat of the first two bars with a different flair?” She offered, tugging at her silky black hair as her eyes scanned over and over his music sheets.
“I thought of that but it seems too… I don’t know, basic? I feel like that's how most songs end nowadays, I want mine to end with a bang or something that’ll make the listeners want to hear more from me instead of just being a one-and-done, y’know?” he slid down his chair a little as Yaoyorozu leaned over his desk once more, ruffling papers and tapping a pencil against her lip as she thought.
“I’m afraid I’ve got nothing then, sorry Midoriya,” she seemed to deflate as she admitted defeat slumping back in her chair as the two pianists wallowed in silence, the bitter taste of defeat hanging thick on their tongues. The door opened a crack and Iida stepped in, carrying a tray of steaming tea and some pastries he’d baked earlier that day. Yaoyorozu seemed to light up as she saw him in the doorway, a gentle blush coating her cheeks as he set the tray down on a vacant table nearby, drawing a chair and motioning for Izuku and Yaoyorozu to join him.
“Any luck?” he said to Izuku, wrapping an arm around Yaoyorozu’s waist as she waltzed over to him, placing a peck on the top of his head as she poured herself some tea with a quiet ‘thank you’ to him.
“Nope. I feel like I’m running around in circles…Nothing I come up with sounds satisfying enough, and out of all the endings I’ve written none of them seem good enough to warrant me a place as one of All Might’s students!” Izuku’s voice was strained as he vented his frustrations, staring at the paper with exhaustion dripping from his body.
“Maybe you should take a break for a few days, come back, and then review it after a while and see if any new ideas have sprung into your head. That usually works for me when I’ve been stuck on a paper,” As always, Iida was the voice of reason among the three of them. Yaoyorozu sighed, drawing a stool from nearby beside Iida’s chair, and leaned her head on his shoulder, chewing on her cinnamon roll thoughtfully.
“I think Tenya’s right, as always. It could always be helpful to take a break and go do something random- who knows, it might help you think better and give you some better ideas,” she offered, which earned an approving nod from Iida.
Izuku sighed “Fine. I’ll take a break… but not for too long! The deadline is in a month, and I still need to run through it a few times to make sure the chord progressions flow nicely, and to double and triple check my notes are on the correct lines and I haven’t written them in the wrong place… Oh, and I forgot to put a few rest and repeats-” his speech turned into incoherent mumbling as he turned back to his score, grabbing a pencil and eraser and beginning to scribble some things and erase others. Iida and Yaoyorozu shared a look, then the pair turned back to Midoriya.
“Izuku. You need to take a break starting now. Come have some tea, I’ve been teaching Tenya how to brew it properly to a lady’s liking,” she said, accompanied by a smug smirk as she grabbed her teacup, sticking her pinky out as she sipped her tea. Iida couldn’t help but roll his eyes at his girlfriend, reaching over and pouring a cup for both him and Midoriya.
“Here. It’s chamomile, I figured you two needed something to calm you since you’ve been slaving away in here for the last two weeks,” he offered a cup to Izuku, who took it gratefully, staring into the contents for a few moments before speaking again.
“Hey- Iida, you did piano with us up until third year. Have you got any ideas as to how I could finish this?” Iida thought for a moment before shaking his head.
“I’m afraid not. All the ideas I had I offered to ‘Rozu… Although I might know someone who could have an idea-”
“I am not asking Kacchan.” Izuku interrupted with a glare “He made it very clear we’re academic rivals now- he’s also trying to be All Might’s student, and he said if I so much as breathed near his sheet music he’d hang me with a piano string and use my blood to write his next score,” Iida and Yaoyorozu grimaced at the threat.
“Well, that’s Bakugo for you- as crude and mean as ever,” Yaoyorozu mumbled into her cup, taking a long sip.
“He’s not that bad usually! He’s just very…competitive, y’know? We’re both fans of All Might, so I understand him not wanting to risk his chances- I don’t blame him!” the couple in front of him shared a long, knowing look before turning back to him.
“Sure… well um, I hope this… ‘friendly rivalry’ of yours doesn’t result in you helping Bakugo out without letting us know,” Yaoyorozu raised an eyebrow at Midoriya, and he chuckled nervously.
“What?! When have I… haha… ever done that?”
“For the sake of both my mental health and your physical well-being, I’m going to choose to ignore that. But seriously, Izuku,” she picked up the final piece of his sheet music, scanning her eyes over it and chewing her lip in thought, “I think you should keep this to yourself- all of it, okay?”
She made to slide the paper back onto the desk before she paused, eyes widening.
“Oh! I’ve had an idea-” she shot up, almost knocking her teacup to the floor as she set it down on the desk with a loud clatter. Swiping a pencil from behind Izuku’s ear, she scribbled a few notes down before holding the paper up, a victorious grin on her face as she flipped the paper around to Tenya and Izuku, showing them-
“It just…ends?” Tenya said with mild confusion, adjusting his glasses as he leaned forward.
“Yeah, it ends so suddenly-” Izuku hummed the notes on the last few bars, envisioning himself on the piano before he paused, eyes as wide as saucers as he leaped from his chair.
“Yaomomo you genius!” he laughed, setting his cup down and throwing his arms around her in a tight embrace, “An abrupt ending!! An homage to All Might’s ‘One for All, 8th movement’!” He took the paper from her delicately, eyes scanning over and over the page before he raced to the piano tucked away in the corner of the room, setting the paper up and playing the final page, the grin on his face widening with pride as his hands stilled.
“It's perfect!” he laughed, brushing his hair back as he collected the page again and added it to the rest of his score “Yaoyorozu I owe you my life- if I get this internship I’ll forever be in your debt-” she waved him off, cheeks red.
“It’s nothing! I’m sure you would’ve thought of it too if you weren’t so stressed-” Izuku shook his head, bowing at the waist before shooting back up, the familiar spark back in his eyes as he rocked back and forth on his feet.
“No no please- I’ll make sure to credit you and Iida accordingly once I hand this in- speaking of, I’ve got to do that now! The post office closes soon and I have work tomorrow with Mr. Aizawa- I’ll see you two later!” he scooped up his papers and bag and before Yaoyorozu or Iida had the chance to process his words, Izuku was out the door running as if his life depended on it- and it might as well have. Izuku thought he’d die if he didn’t make it to the post office in time, and thanks to his preparation, all other parts of his application had already been filled out and slotted inside the envelope tucked in his bag.
He folded his sheet music after looking over it longingly once more, hands shaking with excitement as he slid it into the too-thick envelope and licked the letter closed, waving to the security guard at the front of the post office as he slowed to a walk, sweat beading his forehead.
“Just in time, Midoriya,” Vlad huffed, pulling his hat over his eyes as he leaned against the wall “We’re closed for the next three days for renovations, so just put your letter in the box and it’ll be sent out tomorrow morning,”
“Thank you, Mister Vlad!” Izuku tried steadying his breathing as he walked towards the red box, glancing down at his envelope once more. Izuku was startled as he collided with someone, apologies already flowing from his mouth before he even made eye contact with the stranger.
“Jesus- watch it you damn ex- Deku?! What the hell are you doing here?” Bakugo barked, face already twisted in a scowl as he crossed his arms over his chest.
“Oh! Kacchan! I was just um- sending a letter!” Izuku said quickly, side-stepping Bakugo and sliding his letter into the red postage box before stepping away “For the um… All Might apprenticeship-”
A laugh ripped from Bakugo, one so loud it made Izuku jump as the blonde wiped away a tear from his eye.
“Oh that's rich, you think you can get the spot to study with the All Might? You really are a moron, Deku. A loser like you doesn’t know a natural from a crotchet, what makes you think your stupid music is gonna be enough?” Izuku clenched his fists stepping away from Bakugo.
“I’ve spent the last three years perfecting this- if All Might doesn’t think it's good, then I’ll try again and again until it’s good enough for him. I don’t care if I don’t get the apprenticeship, as long as he’s seen my music, that’s good enough for me.” It was a bald-faced lie, and Izuku wondered if, for a moment, Bakugo saw through his deception. If he did, the blond didn’t let on and instead just scoffed.
“You… Get out of my sight, damned extra,” Bakugo turned on his heel and stormed away, hands shoved in his pockets.
“Good luck to you too, Kacchan,” Izuku said to his back, rolling his eyes as he turned and began his walk home. His mama would be so proud once he told her of his (and his friends’) success with the score. He played the score over and over in his brain as he trudged home, arriving at his street before he even processed his surroundings.
As Izuku neared his front door, he noticed a plain letter on the front step. Curious, he picked it up and turned it over, eyes widening as he saw it was addressed to him. He glanced around, frowning lightly as he walked inside, kicking his shoes off by the front door as he walked towards the living room.
“Izuku! Welcome home, honey!” Inko greeted, leaning up to peck his cheek before she scurried past him, pulling on a pair of shoes and a coat “I’ve got an urgent work meeting to attend so I won’t be home until later tonight, but I’ve fixed you up something for dinner. Make sure you do your homework, and lock the door once I leave! Love you Izuzu!” she was out the door a second later, leaving a confused Izuku standing in his living room alone with a letter in his hands. He turned the lock on the front door and turned back to walk to his room, eyes glued on the letter as he kicked his bedroom door shut. He pulled out a letter opened from his drawer (courtesy of Yaoyorozu- one of the many strange gifts he’d been given by her, albeit a very practical one) and sliced open the top of the letter, withdrawing the page from within.
He frowned. The letter was typed out, and the handwriting on the back of it was far too neat and formal to resemble any of his friends’ handwriting. Izuku began reading, and he felt himself turning redder with each sentence.
Dear Izuku,
First of all; Hi. I’m aware that this letter could be seen as odd, but I didn’t know how else to approach you. Truth be told, I’ve been in love with you for a long time now. I’ve admired your passion for everything from a distance for quite a while, but in the same way you’ve fallen in love with chasing your dream of being a composer, I’ve fallen in love with the boy in front of me. You’re kind; something a lot of people nowadays seem to be unable to be, and your kindness extends even to people who’ve wronged you or done you harm. I’m not sure how else to describe it but you have a pure soul, Izuku, and it's evident from the way you smile, but also in the pieces of music you write. They’re so full of life and energy and passion, and every time I walk past the band or music rooms and hear you play I feel my heart skip a beat. I wish I had the courage to say this to your face, but I’m afraid that if you knew who I was you’d hate me. For now, this is the most courage I can muster up- I hope that’s okay.
Good luck with your application for the internship, I believe in you. ♡
Your secret admirer~
Izuku stared at the letter dumbfounded, blinking rapidly as he read it over and over again. Someone… liked him? Someone liked him enough to send him an anonymous love letter.
He was calling Yaoyorozu before he knew it.
“Midoriya? What’s up, have you handed in you-”
“Someone just sent me a love letter. An anonymous one.”
“Someone WHAT,”

Do you like this open ending though? I personally do. I feel like it ended on a hopeful note and it's kind of up to our imagination where it goes from there. Unless there is a sequel to this story lol. But really though, I think with such a strong fanbase where most fans are concerned with the romance mainly, I think this should be the better option for those who prioritize that aspect of it. Was the news of the contest you were expecting in terms of the special project?
I did! As I said, I like having that room just to imagine the what if's of not just what happens after the story, but also what happens during those eight years.
From a writer's standpoint, leaving openings like that allow the reader to imagine what could fill into those blank spaces. It's what makes a story engaging. It what makes the readers feel welcome to open their minds.
Which, now that I'm thinking about it, is so weird that some people in the mind actually had a problem with the openings.
... they were already filling in those blank before so now it's a problem?
Acting like a bunch of Zuko's when he was talking about "where's the rest of it".
People having been writing fics and coming up with theories about the what if's of MHA long before the ending and now that the story practically gave the green light to do that... IT'S A PROBLEM?!
Like, people were upset about Izuku being Quirkless, but some of those same people were probably the ones writing fics of Izuku losing his Quirk or never having one and going through worse situations than he does in canon.
"He's a loser" and yet I bet you wrote a fic were he never got a bit of hope in his life and Inko is a bad mom and whatever else to practically punish Izuku for existing.
And as much as I enjoy having my ships, I did not care for any to be canon because I didn't get into MHA for that. I didn't get into it looking for a romance.
Horikoshi leaving those ships up for interpretation is perfect for those who really are that concerned about the romance.
Honestly, I was just more happy to see my favorite alive.
For these past few months, I've noticed that the fandom will hate on something in canon and then that very same thing they're like "oh, what a masterpiece" in fanon.
It's not even about the execution! It's just "I can do what I want with these characters but not you because I know them better even though they're your characters". I don't even mean that in a joking manner.
Some people feel this ownership of characters with these versions of them that isn't even that character and get upset because the original creator doesn't abide what they want. It's ridiculous.
Sorry, went on a little ramble there.
Now for the project, I actually wasn't aware of a big announcement of a project until literally the day of and it broke out it would be voting on characters. Like at that moment. So I was surprised! Very!

love is here - izuku x reader, all might x inko
cw: fluff, smut, domestic, valentine's day content. bkg with mentioned female partner. pregnancy mention. minors dni. summary: you and Izuku decide to celebrate another couple's love this Valentine's Day. a/n: a repost from last year's valentines' day fic because i still think it's cute. features 1 terrible joke.
“Red or white?”
While checking the chicken cutlets still browning in the oven, you reflexively call out in reply,
“Red. Has to be red.”
“Of course.”
Closing the oven door, you glance over at Izuku who is hunched over in the glass cabinet in the portion of the living room you can see from your vantage point, and hear the clinking of glass bottles as your husband rummages through your admittedly small stores of alcohol. He pulls out a classic Pinot, and you recognize it as the pretty expensive one Bakugou and his wife (well mostly his wife, really) offered you months ago when you’d first moved into this new home.
“This one?” He asks.
You tilt your head slightly, pondering. “Does your mom even like red wine at all?”
“I’m actually not sure,” he thinks, frowning as he attempts to recall any time he might have caught her drinking.
You purse your lips. “I think we have a Riesling in there. It’s sweet, she might like it,” you ask, before turning back to the kitchen to set up the rest of the dinner items.
Taking a glance at your phone, you check to see if Toshinori has replied to your text message requesting his ETA. The last answer you have from him is a sticker of his own face giving you a thumbs up and it makes you stifle a laugh. It kills you every time he does it, truly Dad behavior.
As Izuku rounds the corner of the kitchen island to place the bottles within a decorative ice bucket on the dining table, he presses a kiss to your forehead. You smile, but then you remember his earlier deceit and shake your head.
“I cannot believe you told Inko I was pregnant!”
He rearranges the bottles as well as a large bouquet of red, pink and white roses with a devious grin on his face, then raises an eyebrow at you.
“Is it really that bad?” He asks, a glint of mischief in his eyes. “It’s just a little white lie.”
“Villain,” you mutter under your breath just as your timer goes off. He laughs out loud.
The next few moments involve you laying down two fine placemats across from each other, your nicest china, far too much cutlery (based on a guide both of you read about fine dining), and sparkling crystal glasses. Herbed chicken parmesan, steaming buttery lobster, roasted brussels sprouts, garlicky mashed potatoes, and angel hair pasta lightly tossed with olive oil and stewed grape tomatoes are set on the table along a light salad. You remembered something about All Might liking Western food and wondered if this was what he was thinking of.
Then you suddenly remembered something else.
“Oh noooo, he doesn’t drink!” you exclaim. Before you can scramble for non-alcoholic options, Izuku has placed a particularly decorative container of sparkling water on the table.
“Just ahead of you,” he says. Always ready to save the day.
Water seems a little lackluster for a romantic dinner, you consider grumbling, but the table looks so beautiful by now that you decide not to let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
“Everything looks amazing!” You announce, clasping your hands together. Izuku agrees and starts the music while you lower the lights, a very light jazzy mix, and as though right on cue, you hear a knock on the door while Izuku begins to light the red and pink candles one by one.
It’s Inko.
She’s dressed far nicer than you usually see her, green locks fully down for once, and you can tell that she’s taken her time to actually perform the skincare routine you’d recommended for her. In fact, you consider that her skin looks a lot healthier than yours and it brings you joy. There’s even a tiny bit of blush she’s applied to her cheeks and a touch of lipstick. The greatest thing she wears however, aside from her coral pink sheath dress, is a wide smile.
“___, congratulations!”
Your mother-in-law envelops you into a hug and for a moment her genuine unbridled joy makes you feel bad that Deku had come up with such a bad lie. You mentally remind yourself to scold him later a second time as you hug her back.
“I- uh… Yeah!” There’s an awkward laugh you let out as she pulls back and holds you by your arms, small tears of joy forming in her eyes. Your stomach turns.
“He told me there would be pictures so I dressed up and-” she starts, but by this time Izuku senses your discomfort and swoops in between you to give his mother a warm hug, then leads her to her seat.
Inko is asking so many questions - How many weeks? Have we thought of names? Are you doing okay? Are you nervous? - that she doesn’t realize her son has sat her down and unraveled a napkin to place on her lap. Nor has she noticed that there are only two placemats laid out, or that you have just gotten a text from Toshinori that says he’ll be there in five minutes.
Smiling as Izuku stands besides her and deflects all her questions, you wonder if all of this is ethical. You may be teasing Izuku for his lie, but you’ve also told All Might that you were surprising Izuku for his birthday and throwing a party.
“That’s five months early?!” He’d asked on the phone.
To which, you sang, “That’s why it’s the perfect surprise!”
You’d given him too short of a notice to ask too many questions, and it worked out perfectly well because you could hear a second knock on your door.
As Inko’s eyes flitted to the door, her frown made it clear that she was realizing something was fishy.
“Am I missing something here?” she started, but before she could press further, All Might all but burst through the door, in powered up form and in a finely pressed shirt and tie, with his signature catchphrase -
“I AM HE-”
He stops abruptly, blinking back and forth as he searches the room significantly lacking in people, slightly dark with mood lighting, and his eyes finally settle on Inko.
And he realizes just before she does.
Inko gets to her feet quickly, immediately apologizing at the squeak of the legs of the chair scraping against the floor as she scoots back, but points at All Might.
“You are-”
“Here,” they say in unison.
All Might nearly chokes as he powers down in a poof and slightly entertained but holding in your amusement, you pat his back, leading him to the seat across from Inko, who is being settled right back into her chair by Izuku massaging her shoulders.
“You tricked me,” Toshinori mutters helplessly under his breath, and you nod sweetly.
“Of course I did, All Might,” you say, patting his shoulder. He gives you a sharp glare behind him, meant to intimidate but failing miserably, then turns back to stare down at his plate.
It doesn’t take a genius to realize what’s going on here. You can see the redness on Toshinori’s sallow cheeks and it actually stirs your heart a little.
Izuku turns down the music from the speaker set on the bar for just a moment before clasping his hands together.
“Yes, so we lied!” He announces. “But!”
He pauses and points to the spread before them. “____ did a lovely job today with all the cooking, and we wanted to spend this Valentines’ Day focused less on us…”
With this, he takes hold of your hand and squeezes it and you can’t stop the warmth that builds in your own face.
“… and on the two of you.”
Inko gives Izuku a look that is something like a pout but she stays seated. All Might on the other hand shifts almost uncomfortably in his chair for a moment, and for a split second you wonder, standing close to Izuku and whispering, did we go too far? in his ear, if All Might will end up leaving and making the whole ordeal genuinely uncomfortable.
But then, he clears his throat.
“M-Midoriya-san, you look lovely,” he says definitively and almost in unison, you and Izuku’s hearts skip a beat. You’re probably boring a hole in Inko’s forehead at this point as you wait for her reply, and just to make sure you don’t continue to stand there creepily you nudge Izuku to start pouring drinks.
“Thank you,” she says after a pause. Her voice is gentle. “You look quite handsome yourself.”
You almost knock over her glass of red wine in surprise and Izuku’s eyes widen in your direction, but he himself is dangerously close to overflowing Toshinori’s glass.
You make a face and he catches himself. You both agree that it’s time to leave.
After describing the menu lightly, the two of you let them know that you’ll be returning in a couple hours and have reservations of your own. Inko mutters something teasing about being cheap to one’s parents but heavily compliments the food regardless. You notice her generously spooning pasta onto Toshinori’s plate and his distracted look as he focuses on her face.
This ship will sail, you think.
“The car’s waiting for us,” Izuku points out, grinning, as you run over with a last glance at Izuku’s parental figures. He helps you put on your coat, and you hug him tightly as the door closes behind you.
…
By the time the two of you return, it’s fairly late. You’d been polite enough to send a message to Inko and ask her if she needed more time, and she had asked for 45 more minutes, to which Izuku responded with sheer delight.
“She’s been lonely for a while to be honest,” Izuku mentions as you make it up the elevator. “I wish I had realized it earlier.”
It must have been different for Izuku who had met Toshinori young, when the wistful look had not been present in Inko’s eyes, but you’d sensed it the first time you saw Inko and All Might interact. A little something, that was subtle and polite and respected boundaries, but ever-present and shared. Was it their shared hope for Izuku’s growth? Was it something more than that? You would never truly know what it was that engendered that affection but it didn’t really matter.
What did matter was that when you finally returned, All Might’s hand held Inko’s gently across the table. He did retreat rapidly once he saw the two of you and you only pretend to bounce your eyes for privacy.
“Did you enjoy the food?” Izuku asks cheerfully, as he clears the dishes and the leftovers for them. The Riesling is nearly gone, you notice, and you wonder if All Might had ended up helping finish off the bottle.
“Absolutely!” They say in unison, then look at each other again, and you can see that gentle fire between them that rivals the still burning candles surrounding them.
“Good,” you reply. Very good.
You sit down at the table with them and share in gentle commentary and a little bit of banter before the two are ready to make their exit and relish in the genuine smile on Inko’s face.
She’s cute when she crushes, you think. It’s another side of the lovely woman who made the one you love, and you can’t wait to tease her about it later, if only to get back at her for the fact that before the “real” adults leave, they admonish you for lying.
“Pregnancy?! How could you lie about something so serious, Young Midoriya?!”
All Might is genuinely in shock as he stands in the doorway and for once Izuku actually is a bit embarrassed because his mentor’s face is so intensely disappointed that there’s not much he can say in response. He scratches at the back of his neck.
“See, the kids were polite enough to give you a lie that was far less grave… however, how could you seriously believe in a 5 month early surprise party?” Inko asks, slapping All Might with her handbag. He makes an exaggerated pained sound, as though she knocked the wind out of him and she laughs, linking arms with him before they leave.
“Thank you again for dinner,” they say and the two of you beam.
“Our pleasure,” you say in unison then laugh.
—
It takes the changing of clothes into bare skin and soft lingerie, gentle necking between satin sheets and far too many rose petals to completely distract the two of you from the events of earlier today. You are comfortably nestled in Izuku’s arms, legs tangled with his and face pressed into his bare chest until he stirs suddenly.
“Oh my God.”
Izuku shoots up straight like a board and you can practically feel the sudden sharp panic run through his entire body. He’s muttering something unintelligible under his breath and you give him a look of confusion until he finally speaks.
“What if he Plus Ultras my mom?”
“… What?” You repeat, incredulously.
He clutches his head dramatically.
“H-he’s going to have sex…with my…” his mouth falters.
You gasp when you finally realize what he means, then pause for a moment before bursting into genuine rip-roaring laughter. Izuku stares at you in continued distress as you end up in tears, covering your face with a pillow, peeking up at him, then laughing even harder at the pallor in his features.
“You have to be kidding me?! This just occurred to you now???” You crumble into another fit, kicking your legs this time into the mattress while Izuku is frozen as still as a statue.
He might as well be shell-shocked.
A few moments pass as you try to recollect yourself, and maybe acceptance has finally set in because he mutters under his breath something about this whole ordeal possibly being a mistake, but nevertheless pulls you to face him, cupping your face in his large hands.
“Just don’t think too hard about it,” you whisper, pushing your hand through his locks, gently rubbing the back of his head.
He sighs into your touch.
“If I do, I’ll probably lose my boner,” he says, pursing his lips to the side. You laugh again and he eventually melts into a smile, and kisses you on the nose.
As he pulls back, his demeanor changes into something more smug, a tease. It’s the type of look he has when he’s about to be lewd and it’s a sudden shift but you welcome it.
“What?”
His eyes lower to your lips again, and he bites your lower one, then pulls back slowly.
“You know how I got in trouble for saying you were pregnant?”
“For lying,” you corrected him, with a raised eyebrow. He dips down and bites your upper lip, slower and more sensual this time. The sting of the bite has you wanting for a little more than just kisses, and he’s well aware of it.
He trails a finger up the curve of your thigh then rests his hand on your hip. Rubbing gently, he whispers, tone low and rich.
“What if we made it true tonight?”
Your throat dries and you swallow hard. He takes it as a yes and hooks a finger around the crotch of your panties, then another finger rubs up and down your slit. He stops right at the entrance to your pussy and presses inward. You wince.
A thumb finds your clit and his lips find yours again. There’s a deeper kiss this time, and he pulls back once again.
“What do you think?” He asks, and the fact that he is starting to take more strained breaths is not lost on you.
“Are you sure you can guarantee that in one night?” He’s far too confident, and you do like to shake it teasingly, once in a while.
“It’s not like I didn’t do the math,” he says. “You should be right around ovulation based on the last time I did a tampon and ice cream run for you,” he insists.
His fingers are still working and you gasp as he adds another.
“Izuku…,” you moan.
“I just need to cum inside you,” he insists, and with that he shifts so that he’s on top of you, hissing into your ear as your back arches and his hands pump.
“Once, twice… maybe ten times,” he says, with extra emphasis on the word ‘ten’, his fingers freeing themselves from the hold of your walls. You already miss the sensation of him inside you, and you grip his shoulders tightly.
“How’s that sound?” He asks, watching the lowering of your eyelids and the parting of your lips, your green lights.
You tense as he dips down to take a breast in his mouth, then relax, wrapping your arms around the expanse of his muscled back.
You don’t mind giving birth to a Scorpio.
“Let’s make an honest man out of you,” you murmur into his neck, bracing yourself for his first glide in.

PUPPY BOY! AU HEADCANONS PART.2
Part 1
Tagging the babes: @shonen-brainrot @dabislittlemouse @angelshimaa and @shionancientsblog
Remember I'm still working on this AU so feedback is appreciated
Deku + Maltipoo
• Maltipoo is a hybrid breed resulting from the mix of a Maltese and a Poodle. And who was born quirkless but got a Quirk transferred? Deku! Which to some extent makes him a hybrid too. Both are highly intelligent and friendly breeds, which suits Izuku very well!
• Izuku radiates Crusty white dog energy, there's no way to deny it, and this breed is part of that group. He has a sweet, caring and friendly personality, but he is also VERY emotional. Cries a lot, he can't help it. Maltipoos also have very fluffy fur, which matches Izuku's green hair.
• This puppy boy was practically protected and pampered by his mom; Inko always brushed his fur after baths! However, just like any other Maltipoo, Izuku adapts easily to any environment and challenge. He also has quite the intelligence and memory, making him the perfect puppy boy for almost any task. Appropriate, considering Izuku is progressively learning to control all his powers and molding himself to the needs of his missions.
• Did I mention Maltipoo puppies befriend practically anyone? *ehem* Just like Izuku befriended [insert list of pretty much any student at U. A]
• Oh, you want to put a doggie collar around his neck? Go ahead! Even when the skin of his cheeks and ears get all red with embarrassment, he loves it. Push a little further, and you'll even be able to hear him whine for attention.
• Needy, so, so needy. Pet his ears and he'll be melting! Play with his hair and he'll fall asleep on your lap.
“Are we gonna hang out today?” Izuku asked, tail wagging effusively at the promise of an evening by your side. You smiled apologetically, excusing yourself. “Sorry, Izu, today I have some work left to do. Maybe another day?”
The puppy in front of you pouted, begging with a pleading face. “Please, please, please! I- I brought my favorite All Might DVD,” Izuku said, his hands gently tugging your shirt. Sighing, you gave up; how were you supposed to win against someone that could quite literally pull puppy eyes on you? “Maybe we can binge-watch it while I work.”
Izuku's lips stretched in content, yapping a sweet “Thank you!” as he walked by your side. “We can lay on the couch, and I'll make sure to recap everything you missed while you weren't paying attention!”
Todoroki + Siberian husky
• I had some trouble deciding which of these breeds fitted Shoto more. On one hand, he could be a Doberman like Dabi, after all, they come from the same dad (like it or not). Enji would've cut his ears and tail too to make him more imposing, and dominant-looking (trying to mold him to his image), leading to Rei burning his face and, well, Todoroki trauma. On the other hand, Siberian huskies already have plenty of traits in common with Shoto.
• Siberian huskies have a stern and serious aura around them, specially at first glance. Their deep gaze and icy blue/light gray eyes manage to allure anyone, not to mention is one of the breeds that has more common cases of heterochromia. We all know how Shoto debuted as a “I'm not here to make friends” character but, in the end– just like this breed –Shoto proves to be friendly and silly with the right people.
• He has very soft big furry ears, and a fluffy tail curled upwards; the fur is white and brown/reddish and matches his hair almost too perfectly. Shoto also has massive canines that he tends to bare when he is truly pissed off or stressed.
• Like many huskies, he is smart and has a lot of stamina. You need to keep this particular puppy mentally/physically stimulated by either showing him new tricks (e.g. Simple science experiments or DIY tutorials) or burning that energy (e.g. Teach him how to play Just dance!)
• Sheds, a lot. Help him brush his fur because otherwise you'll be dealing with random dog hairs in your room. Oh, he also has trouble communicating in general! Which is funny considering how Huskies don't bark like normal dogs, they kind of howl and cry.
• Shoto is a very odd puppy, but a great listener if you ever need to talk.
“And you're supposed to put your left hand on a red circle. Like this!” You said, bending and twisting into a rather uncomfortable position over the Twister mat. Shoto had been aching to play with you for a while, begging - in his odd way (which was standing in front of your bed until you noticed him) — to learn. “I see, so the cardboard thing dictates which limb you move and where you put it.” He said, kneeling to your level as you plopped on the mat.
“Yes, exactly! The last one standing is the winner,” Shoto heard you add, nodding at tour words with seriousness. “Just make sure to keep your tail tucked, we don't want another sneezing accident…"
Shoto unconsciously whined, dropping his ears like a scolded puppy. “Sorry, I didn't mean to make everyone fall with my fur.” The first time he had tried to play, his tail and ears tickled everyone's nose, making the complex knot everyone was tangled in collapse. “It's OK, Sho, it happens.” You smiled sympathetically.
Shigaraki + Rottweiler
• It was suggested that Shiggy could be a Corgi by the lovely @shionancientsblog , and while it would be a cute idea (specially when he had one as a kid), I think Shigaraki's evolution as a person makes him fall under the category of a “problematic breed”. Rotties are great family dogs in the right environment, they are friendly, caring, and playful; sadly, we all know this puppy boy didn't have a good family. Shiggy was neglected and abused as a baby, and he eventually bit the hand that was supposed to take care of him! So, like many dogs when they bite, he was cast away and tagged as a danger. A kind puppy turned into a crazed dog by the hand of the wrong handlers.
• He has short floppy ears with black fur, matching his original hair color. The tail is black as well, but it was cut by his father to “avoid accidents”. Shiggy's fur, however, changed in color the same way his hair did.
• Wears a spiked collar, a gift granted by A.F.O to avoid using his quirk on the skin of his neck. He doesn't like it, but knows it's for the best.
• Rottweilers are also known for acting on impulse and being childish (borderline being messy or confused as aggressive) when they have no guidance. Shiggy had the same behavior when he first started his villain life, but with the right training, he learned to focus his energy on a specific target. Trained to bite on command.
• When he gets involved with you, however, you slowly but surely start filling that emotional void he had. It took a lot of trial and error, specially when he growled at you with those large canines of his, but patience turned out to be enough to ease him.
• Much like Dabi, Shiggy grants you scary dog privileges, but he is less controlled about it and will target anyone who may be “trying to take away his owner”. He won't call you owner, by the way, but in his heart you are part of the very reduced group he likes and follows.
“I don't like the way he is looking at you!” Shigaraki growled, unconsciously trying to hide you from Dabi's gaze. The latter had been sending you cocky smirks here and there, pissing Shiggy off. “Calm down, he isn't doing anything,” you assured him, allowing your hand to pat his head. The frown on Tomura's face softened, but he still didn't like the idea of another person laying eyes on you. “What, you like him better?”
You knew that the child inside him was speaking, so you indulged. “No, Shiggy is my favorite.” Tomura heard you say, feeling the warmth of your lips on his cheek. “W-what was that?!" He yelped, “Are you trying to embarrass me?” You shook your head. “Just making sure you know how much I like you”.

How They React to Their SO Getting Sick - BNHA
PART 1
Katsuki Bakugo
Katsuki is the epitome of tough love, I feel that his parents did try to take care of him when he was sick but he didn't want to take it, he was going to fight this illness on his own! ~ You had gotten poorly over the weekend, so when Monday came around, you had let Aizawa know that you were ill and were stuck in bed watching YouTube with tissues littering your covers, a sign of your cold. ~ Sniffling softly, you settled down to try and nap for a little while, trying to take a break from the discomfort. ~ BANG ~ Shooting back up in bed, causing your headache to worsen quickly. Moving your gaze to the door, flinching at the light coming from the hallway of the dorm building, seeing the halo of light around a certain angry Pomeranian. ~ "What the hell babe!?" Katsuki shouted, causing you to wince at the volume. "Why weren't you in class!?" ~ Taking a look around your room, seeing the bottles of cold medicine, the tissues and your weak form in bed, he put the pieces together. ~ He also saw you had flinched at the light and his shouting, so he quickly shut the door and made his way towards you, trying his hardest to be quiet (which was very difficult for him). ~ Kneeling down next to your bed, he pressed the back of his hand against your forehead, feeling for a fever and not finding one. ~ Sighing a small sigh of relief, Katsuki pulled back and began working, he put on your favourite show, letting you snuggle up and went away, telling you he'd be right back. ~ Hurrying down to the communal kitchen, he found a can of your favourite soup and, whilst he would have preferred to make it from scratch, this would have to do, he began to cook. ~ He boiled the kettle for a cup of hot water with honey and lemon, knowing you hadn't drank or eaten anything, potentially for most of the weekend! ~ He silently scowled as he moved around the kitchen, he knew you were sick now, but he was mad at himself for not noticing sooner, thinking back on it now, he should have noticed you getting weaker, he'd spent the whole weekend with you! ~ Thinking that he was a shitty boyfriend, he stepped up his cooking game, bringing you up soup, honey and lemon and some of your favourite, softer snacks, nothing that would irritate your throat. ~ Shuffling into your room, he set down your food and snuggled next to you, waving away your protests of 'you'll get sick'. He didn't care. ~ "I'm gonna help you make this cold your bitch, babe!" He whisper shouted.
Izuku Midoriya
Baby Green Bean would just panic, I also feel like before he'd do anything to help you, he would observe you, take notes and then research the crap out of whatever it is to find the best and quickest ways to help you feel better! ft. Mama Inko!
~ When you realised you were sick, just a tummy bug, you text Izuku, knowing he would overthink your absence and you didn't want him panicking. ~ Little did you know, as soon as he got that text message, he was panicking. ~ He had gone to visit his mom for the weekend and now he was running around the apartment, his poor mother chasing him, asking him what was wrong. ~ "Mom! (y/n)'s sick! What do I do!? I- I wanna help but what if I do something and it makes it worse!?" He continued to ramble on about how he had never taken care of someone before, he'd never had a sick significant other because he'd never had a significant other in the first place! ~ His mom tried to calm him down, asking, how you were sick, he responded that you thought it was just an upset stomach. ~ "Oh, Izu, that's an easy fix, let's make a bit of a care package for them, they might not want you around too much if their stomach's queasy." ~ And that's what they did, Izuku worked on making a flask of ginger tea and packing some broth, his mom was at the store, buying you some sports drinks for hydration and some crackers, applesauce and bananas, if you're able to handle the fluids. ~ Packing everything in a cooler, Izuku kissed his mom goodbye, thanked her for her help and set off back to the dorms. ~ Knocking on your door, he waited to hear you let him in, fully expecting you to not respond and instead just leave his care package outside your door, but you let him in. ~ "Hi sweetie," He whispered, seeing you're eyes bleary, presumably just waking up from a nap. ~ He gave you a soft kiss on the forehead, fully aware from reading an article on the train over, that an upset stomach can also cause skin sensitivity and muscle aches. ~ You gave him a soft, weak smile. Izuku placed the cooler next to your bed, "My mom and I made you a care package, just a couple things to help you feel better." He smiled at you, stroking your hair out of your face. ~ You blushed a little at the amount of care your boyfriend was showing you, but thanked him and asked him to thank Inko for you, he agreed and went to leave. ~ You reached out and held onto his sleeve as he was leaving, "Stay?" You asked quietly, needing the human contact. ~ Smiling a big smile, Izuku nodded and tucked himself in bed next to you, pulling up the show the two of you had been watching together. ~ "Of course I'll stay sweetie! I'll always stay."
Shoto Todoroki
Shoto I think would be panicking but only on the inside, obviously when you're not feeling well, you're his main priority, but he doesn't know what to do! He'll sit and panic on his own and then try his hardest to help you, not doing too great…
~ You had the flu. ~ You had a fever. ~ And Shoto had no clue, how to help you! ~ He came to visit you in your dorm room, not realising that you weren't very well and got worried pretty quickly, seeing your tired, delirious, face red, sweating and cold at the same time and you didn't even acknowledge his presence when he came in. ~ He steps out of your room again, pulling out his phone to call Fuyumi, begging her to help him, he was so confused, poor baby! ~ Walking back in, he realises you've seen him now, reaching out with grabby hands for him to cuddle you. ~ Of course he's happy to, but he's desperately trying to stay as still as is humanly possible, hoping you'll be comfortable. ~ He notices that you seem to be moving a lot, moving from his left side to his right. He's not an idiot, he knows what the matter is fairly quickly. ~ Shifting you to lie on your front, cradled against his chest, he gently places his right hand on your forehead, soothing your fever. His left hand goes on the small of your back, underneath your shirt, feeling how your shirt sticks slightly to your skin. ~ Once you've fallen asleep, he once again texts his sister, smiling when he gets the text back, 'Keep her comfortable'. ~ He did a good job.
Eijiro Kirishima
Eijiro is most definitely the 'mom' friend, he knew exactly what to do and when he realises you're not well, he's sprinting around to help you!
~ Eijiro probably knew you were sick before you did! He probably always keeps some kinds of medication around, painkillers, cold medicine, cold and heat pads, emergency snacks. Anything really! ~ What kind of boyfriend would he be if he couldn't take care of his pebble? How unmanly would that be!? ~ When he notices that you're getting sick, you were getting tired quicker, you didn't have much of an appetite and you were starting to slur your words slightly. ~ He let himself into your room, with his arms full of - things! Just things! Blankets, some of his hoodies for you to wear, cold medicine, a bucket (just in case), a bunch of movies and TV shows, snacks, drinks and basically anything else he could have brought from his room to your own in one trip. ~ Once you yourself have realised you're sick, he doesn't let you leave your bed and he certainly doesn't let anyone else in! ~ Mama Eijiro is the most protective being and you cannot tell me otherwise! ~ But he's also a total pushover for you! You could ask him to kill someone, rob a bank or piss off Bakugou and he'd do it! ~ He did try his hardest to keep you comfy and happy, keeping you warm and well fed! You two would definitely binge movies and shows together, him happily commenting every now and then and you tiredly nodding along, happy he's happy. ~ But then the weekend was over and he was being physically dragged out of your room by Bakugou and the rest of the class, still shouting instructions at you: ~ "Keep drinking water through the day! I'll be checking how much you've drank! I've left some sandwiches and soup for you, try and eat if you can! I love you pebble-"
Denki Kaminari
Denki is my favourite clueless baby! I can almost guarantee he would have a minor panic attack/aneurysm whenever there is something wrong with you at the beginning of your relationship and probably whenever you're sick for the rest of it!
~ I feel like Denki would originally try to avoid you when he finds out you're sick, not to be mean or because he doesn't want to take care of you, it's because he doesn't think that he can take care of you! ~ The boy can barely take care of himself and boyfriend protocol dictates he should take care of his partner as well!? ~ Panicking, Denki would probably text the Bakusquad group chat, hoping they can help somehow! ~ They do. ~ The squad seemed to have a soft spot for you, even Bakugou! I feel like Mina and Sero would definitely be like, "Your partner is my partner", kind of thing. Then Katsuki and Eijiro are just the group's mom and dad! ~ They all leave different things outside your door for Denki to give to you, both not wanting to overwhelm you with their presence and also not wanting to get sick. ~ Katsuki cooks you lunch, Eijiro leaves you a flask of tea, Mina couldn't think of anything helpful after that so she ran out to get you snacks and sports drinks and Sero just brought you an item of clothing from each of them (definitely not asking Katsuki before stealing from him). ~ Eventually Denki would calm down, you would demand cuddles from him and any other day he would be on you like glue and would not let go! ~ But today, he was so nervous about hurting you, about making you worse, he was zapping like crazy and he didn't want to hurt you. ~ He saw the look in your eyes when he told you, but almost broke down when you told him you didn't care and pulled him into bed anyway. ~ You would spend the rest of the day watching movies, cuddling and most likely sending each other memes. ~ Denki calmed down and stopped shocking you, but he was happy that you loved him, Zaps and All.
Hitoshi Shinsou
Hitoshi would act cool on the outside, definitely acting stoic and uncaring but having a full on meltdown in his head. He wouldn't know the first thing about taking care of something that wasn't a cat, but he didn't want you knowing that!
~ When you tell him you're sick, he had just entered your room, so he stands there, staring at you from the corner, before whipping out his phone to look up what he should do. ~ "What are you doing?" You croaked at him. ~ "Well, I don't know what to do! So I'm googling!" ~ Chuckling and shaking your head, you mutter that you're fine, just needing some company. ~ He tries his hardest to just stay with you, but can't help thinking that he needs to do more for you. ~ He spent the rest of the day basically treating you like a houseplant, feeding you, watering you and facing you towards the sunlight, hoping something would help! ~ Hitoshi would most definitely use your sickness as an excuse to cuddle and take a nap. ~ He just would. Baby is tired and needs to sleep so any excuse will do! ~ Denki would definitely come looking for him. If he didn't find him in his own room, he'd immediately know to check yours! ~ He woke up Hitoshi when he came in and was instantly threatened. ~ "If you wake them up, I will leave you trapped outside the dorms for a week!" He whisper shouted, Denki giggling as silently as he could but did leave, not wanting to wake you up intentionally. ~ Hitoshi would have to wake you eventually so you could eat and take some medicine, he does so with a soft kiss on your forehead (definitely not checking your temperature or anything!).

AFO is Hisashi Midoriya
This is my contribution to the Dad-For-One theory, otherwise known as AFO is Hisashi Midoriya.
There are already plenty of indications and other theories out there to this particular idea, but I have never seen this specific one so I might as well share.
Disclaimer: this might have some manga spoilers, so be warmed!
First and foremost, what do we know about Hisashi Midoriya?
He is married to Inko Midoriya.
He works overseas.
He has a fire breathing quirk.
He is never seen in the backstory, neither the manga or anime.
Just from that we can already make some conclusions. I think some of them have already been floating around so I will make this short.
He could have taken her name in marriage. It would make sense if it was her family name, since Midori means green and Inko does have green hair.
An evil overlord most certainly makes enough money to send home. The cover of working overseas also means he doesn't need to be home and keep up the façade.
I believe it has been mentioned in manga and in the anime that emitter, more specifically fire quirks are the most common ones. So basically, nobody would call it either weak or strong if you are not Endeavour or Dabi. It would also be fairly easy to acquire a quirk like that for someone like AFO
We have no idea what Hisashi Midoriya looks like. Which is uncommon for parents in MHA. We have seen plenty of parents from different students, villains and even teachers in the vigilante spin off. One would think that the father of the main character is kind of important, or if he isn't (as we are led to believe) we would get at least a face. The fact that it is taking so long is certainly suspicious.
Now let's look at what we know about AFO.
He lost a big fight against All Might when Izuku was just a small child, before he received his diagnosis that he was Quirkless.
He is inherently possessive, narcissistic and egoistical.
He does not care for others only for the best way to gain power.
He has only one known weakness to his quirk. Said weakness is, he has to touch someone to steal their quirk.
Let's keep that in mind while we take a look at other facts. What do we know about the Midoriya family?
Izuku Midoriyawas born Quirkless.
He was diagnosed by the same doctor who later made the Nomus.
They are not rich, nor do they have any connections.
Inko Midoriya has a minor attraction quirk.
At first glance this might not mean a lot but in the frame of this theory both of these things shine in a different light.
AFO was born at the dawn of quirks. A time where it wasn't uncommon for someone to be born without a quirk. It wouldn't be far-fetched for him to have a Quirkless child.
If Izuku was indeed his son, it would make sense for him to monitor his development even after the fight against All Might. He must already be working together with the doctor because it was, he who healed AFO from his severe injuries.
What would AFO gain from marrying someone with a weak quirk and without any notable connection?
If AfO had a child with Inko Midoriya there is a possibility that this child could have a quirk which allowed them to pull quirks to them. This would solve AFO one weakness. In return all he would have to do is fly under the radar and pretend to be a good, if absent husband.
Alright this was a lot of speculation. So, let's take a look at Canon again to see if my main claim would make sense for the story.
The main example would be the Todoroki family. Endeavour demonstrates quirk marriage isn't a thing of the past. Which means we have a canon case of this happening.
The most glaring problem in this theory might be that AFO does not really look like Izuku. Then again Izuku does look a lot like his mother except for his hair texture and the freckles. At this point we have seen a younger AFO and still there are no glaring similarities. This might be because AFO wears his hair rather short in all his life stages compared to Izuku. We have also seen AFO mother who had no similarities to Izuku either.
For the time being AFO is kind of dead so he won't be the one confirming this theory. Izuku has seen him before and not mentioned anything. The only one left to say anything is Inko Midoriya.
Horikoshi did mention that there would be a Hizashi Midoriya reveal at some point. So, all we can do is wait and speculate.
Thanks for reading my random thoughts!

Chapter 16 - Fight!
Summary: Y/N fights Midoriya and Shouto in front of an audience. Is she able to win against the two top heroes and go back to being a hero? We shall see.
Feat. Present Mic and Aizawa!
Warnings: Swear words, Katsuki makes a few horny comments here and there, mentions of Shouto’s PTSD, one broken rib. Or two. Or three.
First Chapter Master List
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
“Ladies and gentlemen and everyone in between, welcome to the battle of the year!” Present Mic yells into his speaker with utter enthusiasm. Why is Present Mic here? You have no idea, but you can’t wait to get a signature because you freaking love his talk show. “Y/N versus Midoriya and Todoroki! Yeaaaaaah!”
The whole building cheers.
You heard it right. The whole building. It’s a fucking full house.
The whole agency is here except a few who decided to stay behind to keep the business going (Katsuki had to give them a double hourly wage to make them stay at work, by the way.), which doesn’t surprise you as Katsuki’s team is quite known for being overly enthusiastic when it comes to mock battles and hero stuff, then there’s Mina, Kaminari, and a shit load of people from the wedding, possibly Katsuki’s old classmates and friends, all sitting in one corner and cheering for both teams which doesn’t make any fucking sense, but okay. Next to the famous Present Mic there is a grouchy black haired man with a massive white scarf thingy around his neck; he has a camera by this left side and a notebook on his lap.
“Why. Just why.” The man mutters under his nose; thankfully you are amazing at lip reading, so you don’t actually need to hear him to know what’s up. His face is contorted into a frown as he stares at the blond with nothing but pure judgment.
“Oh come on, sensei! Have some fun!” The guy snickers but “sensei” only rolls his eyes at that.
“I’m here to take notes and to film the fight for Midoriya for analytical purposes. I’m not here to have fun.”
“We are here to have fun, let’s go, Mic sensei wooohooo!” Kaminari yells and the whole audience cheers at that.
Dang. You’ve never had a stage fright before. Needless to say, now you do.
“Deku, what the actual fuck, do you want to die, you idiot?! This is not what we’ve discussed!” Katsuki clearly felt the nervous vibes coming from you and is absolutely fucking livid right now.
“Kacchan, I swear it wasn’t me. I only asked Aizawa-sensei! No one else!”
“Why is Auntie Inko hiding behind the pillar then?!” Katsuki tries his best to look less aggravated as he waves to the shy, green haired woman with a forced smile on his face. Midoriya then stares at his Kacchan with nothing but gratefulness, tears prickling his eyes from seeing his childhood rival being nice to his one and only mother he loves so much.
“Mum doesn’t count, does she? She’s family.” Deku mutters, ready to have his face blasted off.
“Do you see my shitty family here, Deku?! Huh?!” Kacchan yells at the poor guy; Midoriya points right where his mum is with a barely concealed smile.
“Yeah, they are right behind my mum.”
“The fuck?!”
Katsuki is having a brain fart moment. He’s so fucking confused it’s kinda hilarious.
“It’s my fault, Katsuki.” Kirishima comes over with guilt deeply etched into his face. “I accidentally told Denki about it and then… well, you know him. I’m sorry.”
“Fucking hell.”
“My family isn’t here.” Todoroki adds. The guy didn’t make a single noise until now so you kinda forgot he’s also here.
“Shouto, you are not helping, but thank you for trying.” Izuku, who’s clearly used to Todoroki’s miserable attempts to save the day, leaves a tiny kiss on his boyfriend’s cheek.
“10 minutes until show time, are you guys ready?!” Present Mic’s voice comes through the speaker again as the light around the outer edges of the building dramatically go down.
“If you hurt her, I’ll fucking kill you, you fucking overpowered energizer bunny.” Katsuki grabs the green head’s shirt by the neck and pulls him closer with a sneer. “One fucking bruise and…”
“Kacchan… I respect you but I’m here to win. You wouldn’t want me to go easy on her, would you?”
Katsuki only contemplates for a few seconds, the tips of his ears coated pink as he lets go of the poor guy, completely defeated.
“I can cauterize wounds if things get out of hand.”
You’ve never seen Katsuki so terrified in your whole life. His face is pale like a sheet and he looks five seconds away from throwing up all over the floor.
“Nope. We are not doing this. We are going home. Nope. Fuck this.” Katsuki is about to pull you towards the exit but Izuku jumps between the two of you.
“Shouto, you were doing so well...” Midoriya sighs and puts his hand on your shoulder. “Y/N, Katsuki. I swear I won’t do any serious harm to your girlfriend. I also think she can protect herself and she’ll be able to keep up with us with no problems. Please, sit down and enjoy the show.” Midoriya pushes you to the side slowly, but Katsuki’s grasp on your hand is relentless.
“Come on, bro! I heard Auntie Inko brought you some muffins!” Kirishima chimes in, pulling him towards the seats, his hands massaging the blond’s shoulders. “Come on now!”
“Just one minute and I’m going.” Katsuki tears himself out of Kirishima’s grasp. Todoroki and Midoriya make their way towards the other end of the battlefield while Kirishima takes a few steps back to give you some privacy. “Kick their asses, baby. I fucking… I fucking believe in you. I love you and shit. Fuck.”
The whole audience gawks as Katsuki snuggles into the crook of your neck like a little kitten looking for attention. You rake your fingers through his messy hair out of habit, playing with the strands and leaving tiny kisses on the top of his head until he finally looks up and lets you kiss him properly, right in front of the whole fucking building.
“Oh my god! What a day to be alive! Bakugou Katsuki aka Lord Explosion Murder God Dynamight just got a kiss from the mysterious hero! You go, lover boy, good for you!”
“That’s his girlfriend!” Kaminari yells into the air helpfully. “He’s in love, sensei!”
“Oh my god, dear listeners! The beast has been tamed! I’m so proud!”
“Shut the fuck up.” Katsuki mutters into your neck, his whole face probably the color of a ripe tomato.
“He said shut the fuck up!” You yell to the interpreter with a shit eating grin on your face.
“Ahh, well, there is a lot of things I can do but that ain’t one of ‘em!” Mic giggles and the whole audience roars.
“That’s true.” Sensei mutters with a nod and Mic makes an offended face at that.
“Five minutes to go. Are we are ready, dear listeners?!” Present Mic yells again and the audience cheers. Loudly. Dang, they are really fucking excited for this shit.
“Keep your eyes on me, loverboy.” You wink at your boyfriend; he visibly shivers under your confident gaze.
“Couldn’t keep my eyes off you even if I’d try.”
… damn, you two won’t sleep a wink tonight, that’s for sure.
~•💥•~
“Three, two, one… go!”
The two heroes charge at you right away, their movements completely synchronized and clearly planned out; needless to say having two heroes that are so used to each other fight against you should be a huge disadvantage for you but here’s the thing; you can do whatever you want. And by whatever, you mean you can literally just…
“Goldfish.”
Deku’s movements halt right away, his face contorted into a confused frown as he looks at his partner in pure terror.
“Goldfish is a quirk that makes the other person forget what they were about to do a few minutes prior. It’s quite harmless unless used… well… in cases like this. Well done.” The “sensei” steals the speaker from Present Mic who’s completely bamboozled by seeing the number one hero so lost on the battlefield. This would be the perfect time to counterattack but seeing how many people have gathered here today you decide to give them a little show instead; Todoroki comes out of his own stupor and charges towards you while Midoriya slowly tries to put himself back into the present but suddenly, his quirk changes sides in the most literal sense; his right side becomes his hot side while his left side starts to frost over rapidly; having such a change is already quite a pain in the ass but here’s the thing - to be honest this was a bluff but it clearly worked -; while his quirk swapped sides, his body didn’t, hence why his body is now affected by the effects of the quirk.
“Fuck!” Shouto yells as the flames start to burn his heat-sensitive skin…
“Y/N, stop! Anything but that. Please.” Izuku begs and he looks so horrified you cancel the quirk right away. There is something in his eyes, something painful and deep and you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to see that you somehow managed to touch a sensitive topic here. You look at Katsuki who’s standing by the side of the battlefield; he looks at his friend apologetically, his eyes somehow regretful.
“This is good practice.” Shouto’s sudden grin surprises the whole audience. “Sometimes, you need to face your biggest fears and if this would be a real fight, there wouldn’t be a pause. On the battlefield, there is no time to dwell on the past.”
“Is pro hero Shouto giving a speech in the middle of the battle?!” Present Mic screeches. “Also, how many quirks…?”
“All of them. Her quirk is called ‘quirk manifestation’. It’s the strongest quirk in the whole world as she can use several different quirks at the same time for as long as she wants to. Until she can stay focused, she’s unstoppable.” Sensei answers with a deadpanned face.
“Wow, you did your research.” You yell back to him with a grin. Thankfully, the mood is slowly shifting back to relatively normal now.
“I’m Eraserhead. I work underground. Gaining intel is my virtue.” He mutters smugly. “But for this intel I must thank my former student, Midoriya. His notes on you were quite… detailed.”
“Quirk me again.” Shouto suddenly yells, completely ignoring his old teacher. Midoriya looks at the guy like he just lost his mind and by the absolute manic grin on his face, he might be right about that.
Also, can we stop for a moment and talk about the fact that Todoroki Shouto is wearing his emotions on his face? You are a taken woman, but damn, he should do this more often.
“Are we going berserk? Plus fucking ultra then.” Midoriya grins back and by the random eye fucking those two just did a few seconds prior you are quite sure they’ll also have a long night after this.
“Come at me you gay disasters.” You give the two a manic grin and… well… they do.
First, Todoroki somehow finds a way to use his quirk even with the disadvantage. You manage to slip on the tiny, almost invisible ice he manages to sneak under your legs; the ice travels further up, pinning you to the ground but not for long; with your quick thinking you manage to counterattack with pink flames, because why the fuck not, melting the ice on your legs then charge forward towards the half and half hero but you change your stance last minute; you attack Midoriya instead, your emotions concealed with a quirk you just came up with to not trigger his danger sense; he catches your hand with black whip but you make your body intangible and slip out of the grasp; he tries to save himself by using his Smoke Ray but it’s all in vein as your favorite quirk is X-Ray Vision; Midoriya also made a massive mistake with using this quirk of his as he also made it impossible for his partner to see you, basically rendering him useless for the next few minutes until the smoke dissolves.
“I really want to gossip about the sexual tension between the two boys on the battlefield but… what a mistake! Todoroki’s lost in the smoke and Midoriya is just about to get hit by… uuuuh, that must have hurt!”
You just landed a massive hit right at Midoriya’s ribs using a mixture of Kirishima’s hardening and super strength while Todoroki is still wandering in the smoke, trapped and probably extremely frustrated.
Something cracked. Fuck.
“Izuku!” Todoroki finally emerges from the smoke, putting on a massive ice wall right between you two.
“She broke my fucking rib, Shouto.”
Suddenly, a furious Todoroki jumps through the wall, shattering it into pieces as he lands a massive hit on your shoulder and you fall to the ground.
“Midoriya is OUT! Nothing is as strong as a fury of a wounded lover, though! Get her, Todoroki!” Present Mic yells, exhilarated.
Katsuki looks like he’s about to pass out which is quite understandable to be honest. This fight is fucking intense.
“Was that really necessary?!” Todoroki yanks your wounded arm and pushes you down.
What he doesn’t know is that you are not actually in pain anymore; you already healed yourself but he doesn’t need to know that.
“You know I didn’t mean to do that.”
“Ten more seconds and Todoroki wins!”
“What kind of monster are you?!”
“The one on the good side. The one who really fucking wants to go back to work and save people.”
It all happens really quickly. You use a slime quirk to get out of Todoroki’s intense grasp and blast his face using your own version of your boyfriend’s quirk; the pink, cotton candy scented one you used to bully Katsuki with. You make sure to not use too much power this time and mostly just blind the hero for long enough to use your own version of Midoriya’s black whip - it’s quite a useful quirk as it’s heat and frost-resistant, basically indestructible. In only a few seconds, the half and half hero is rolled up like a little burrito, surrounded by black whip everywhere but his face.
“Sorry about triggering your PTSD in the beginning. I’m also sorry for hurting your boyfriend. I’ll heal him as soon as this is over.”
“Ten…”
“It’s fine, it has been ages since I’ve been challenged by someone. Felt fucking nice.” Todoroki tries to wiggle himself out but it’s all in vain. It’s game over for him.
“Five…”
“You guys are amazing. If this would have been an actual life or death situation I’m quite sure you would’ve won.”
“Three.”
“Stop flattering me, you literally took that hit on your shoulder just to be even.”
“One.”
“Anyway… it was a great fight. Thank you.”
“Todoroki is out, Y/N wins! WHAT A FIGHT! Congratulations!” Present Mic yells while the whole audience whistles. Midoriya’s mother is crying so you make a note to yourself to apologize to her later.
Todoroki is by Midoriya’s side the moment he’s free. You are just about to go over to heal him and say sorry when Katsuki jumps on you from behind, turns you over to him and kisses you with so much fervor your legs almost give up under you.
“You fucking madman.” Katsuki grins, his worried eyes long gone in exchange for pure exhilaration. “You don’t know how to hold back, do you?” Suddenly, Katsuki’s lips skim your ears. “Why don’t you go all unhinged in bed with me tonight? I want to see what else you can do…”
“Katsuki, this is not the time.” You reprimand with a little giggle. “I need to take care of your broken friend first.”
“You can take care of my…”
“Oh, shut the fuck up, you horny weirdo.” You put your palm on his face and push him away playfully in the middle of his sentence. The shit eating grin on Katsuki’s face is so fucking adorable you kinda want to kiss him but this is really not time for it.
“Y/N!” Todoroki yells, frustrated. By the look of it, it isn’t just Midoriya’s rib that’s broken but his mind as well; he’s mumbling to himself, still sitting on the floor, avoiding eye contact with anyone in the facility. Needles to say, he’s crying.
“Let me reboot the crybaby.” You grin at the big lump on the floor while most of the audience goes back to work. Katsuki’s friend group and the two senseis are still seated, probably waiting for you guys to wrap up and listen to their feedback.
This will be a long fucking day.
… Next Chapter!

Potato ramble:
- I know. This is fucking late. Honestly, I had the busiest two weeks of my whole life and I only had one day off which was the 25th and that was all. I don’t remember the last three days. Like I actually don’t think my soul was in my body. I have no recollection of the days either so yeah, I’m sorry folks who always tell me to chill the fuck out, I definitely did not listen this time. 😂
- Midoriya’s grave mistake and the whole drama around his behavior will be explained in the next chapter. Aizawa will give him a harsh feedback. 😂
- I’m really excited about the last chapter because it will have Steven in it. I fucking love Steven. I will miss him so much.
- The next chapter will be the last official chapter, then there will be one extra part and that’s probably it! BUT! If you guys have any ideas for possible extra chapters I’m more than keen to listen and maybe one day I’ll come back to this and write some cute extra chapters for you guys! So even if you read this months after I posted this, feel free to leave a comment about what would you like to see and stuff!
- Also, I’ll will start posting the Kirishima spin-off a few weeks after this one ends so if you want to be on the tag list, leave me a comment!
- I got myself a really aggressive looking cactus today. He has MASSIVE spikes all over and he looks like he could literally kill a person. His first thing after I bought him was to prick my finger. So obviously I named him Lord Explosion Murder God Dynamight because he’s a prickly little fuck like him.
- I’ll shut up now. Happy new year and all that jazz. 💜💥💜

“I’m a pathologist,” Himawari told Hizashi as she drove them to her work. They’d gotten badly injured during hero training and she’d come to pick them up though she had to go back to work. She’d gotten permission to have them in her office while she worked.
“What’s that?” They asked with their eyes closed. That flashbang had been way too bright and they still needed darkness.
“I study fluids and bodies. I do autopsies and stuff to. Also some of the mortician work, but my coworker does that more,” Himawari said. Hizashi snorted, cracking open an eye to give her a look.
“The daughter of the God of Medicine works with the dead.” Himawari laughed.
“I have shit bedside manner. Volunteered as a kid in hospitals and hoo-boy I sucked. The dead don’t give a fuck how I handle them.” She shook her head. “My coworker is named Midoriya Inko. We’ve been buddies since university- both of us got in early. Her husband is a bitch ass. She’s pregnant right now and I am ninety percent it’s a demigod.”
“Why doesn’t she divorce her husband?” Hizashi asked as they closed their eyes.
“It’s actually pretty damn hard when you’re stuck in a toxic relationship. I asked once- turns out it was an arranged marriage that she says was a Quirk marriage and everything is arranged by her husband. All the finances, the apartment, everything. She can’t open an account without his permission.”
“That seems illegal.” Hizashi said, frowning.
“Blame the MLA. Those assholes put through a lot of laws that the rich guys like because they have a lot of control this way.” Himawari said with a bitter laugh. “I’m lucky Dad cursed my mom so she couldn’t sign anything. I purposely failed the hero exam and she was all about getting me married off.”
“What?” Hizashi asked. “Really?”
“Yeah. It sucks.” Himawari apparently had gotten them to the hospital as she parked and then they heard her ruffling around. “Here. These sunglasses were NOT here earlier so thanks Dad.”
“Thanks,” Hizashi agreed as they put the glasses on. The light wasn’t hurting as much when they opened their eyes. Huh, they liked the glasses.
Walking into the hospital with their sister, they froze when they saw the dark figure speaking with a green haired woman who had a rounded stomach. Himawari froze to.
“Well then…” she said softly as the siblings stared at Hades, “the kid is a demigod.”

For this ask game!
Midoriya gets Flect Turn’s quirk
There's a joke here about that snippet I wrote where AFO!Inko murders Flect and steals his Quirk for Izuku but I don't care enough about Flect to tell it.
One day when Midoriya was 2 or 3, his skin suddenly turned luminescent green! Realizing that he got his Quirk, Midoriya was super excited about it! Right up until he went to hug his mom and a wave of energy knocked her back. Luckily, being a young child making light contact, it didn't really hurt her, but it freaks him out.
Bakugou fucking hates Midoriya's Quirk. Midoriya is basically immune to his Quirk and worse reflects it back at him! How can Bakugou prove that he's the strongest now? And if he's not the strongest... what does that make him? Midoriya meanwhile becomes touch-averse out of fear of hurting others, though Inko's unwavering support means that he never develops the "I am unable to form meaningful human connections" thing that Flect had. Growing up, he also struggles with how he keeps Reflecting things he wants to pick up or use.
Izuku's Quirk struggles lead to him becoming a massive Quirk Nerd like his is in canon because he loves seeing people overcome their Quirk problems or come up with creative uses for their Quirks. This eventually leads to him realizing that since his Quirk is an emitter there must be a way to control it properly.
By the time UA rolls around, he hasn't found a way to disable it, but he can redirect the energy from his Reflecting, allowing him to propel himself by Reflecting off of surfaces. It also means that when Uraraka stops him from falling he had to quickly blast the ground to avoid hitting her.
The entrance exam is easy for someone who can rip the robots apart by touching them while also turning their attacks against them. He ends up in 1-A as per my headcanons on why students are assigned to what class. Aziawa's Erasure turning off Reflect is what really helps him make massive strides in controlling the Quirk
+1. Inko is way less stressed about Izuku wanting to be a Hero seeing as his Quirk makes him pretty untouchable.

My Lovely Maid— Oh Wait… That’s A Boy
⬐ After losing his job and with nowhere else to go, (Y/N) ends up working as a maid for the Midoriya family. His soft features and quiet nature make everyone assume he’s a girl, and honestly, he doesn’t bother correcting them—it’s just easier that way. Everything seems fine until Izuku comes home and meets their new “maid,” and things get awkward fast. What starts as a simple job quickly turns into a tangle of misunderstandings that neither of them saw coming.
chapter 2
masterlist
The quiet of the early morning was broken only by the sound of Izuku Midoriya’s footsteps as he trudged home, sweat dripping from his brow and his legs aching after another grueling training session with All Might. His hoodie clung to him, damp with effort, and his mind buzzed with thoughts of how to improve his techniques.
As he reached his front door, he paused. From inside, he could hear the warm, melodic sound of his mother’s laughter. It was rare for her to laugh so freely, given how much she worried about him and his hero dreams. Curious and slightly confused, Izuku pushed the door open and stepped inside.
“Mom?” he called out, slipping off his shoes and setting his bag by the door.
“In here, sweetie!” Inko’s voice chimed from the kitchen, her tone light and cheerful.
Izuku followed the sound, the ache in his legs forgotten for the moment. As he stepped into the kitchen, he stopped short, his green eyes widening at the sight before him.
Seated at the table with his mother was someone he didn’t recognize. At first glance, he thought it was a girl—long, flowing black-and-teal hair framed their face, and they wore a perfectly fitted maid dress that flared out slightly at the knees. Their delicate features were smooth and symmetrical, with porcelain skin that almost seemed to glow in the soft light.
“Oh, Izuku!” Inko said, turning to him with a bright smile. “You’re back early! Did training go okay?”
“Uh… yeah,” Izuku replied automatically, his gaze flickering back to the stranger sitting at the table.
Inko followed his gaze, then gestured toward the person beside her. “Izuku, this is (Y/N). He’s our new maid!” she said brightly.
The word “he” made Izuku’s brain screech to a halt. His jaw slackened as he blinked at the figure sitting across from his mother.
“Huh?” he muttered, unable to process what she’d just said.
The stranger—(Y/N)—turned his head slightly to meet Izuku’s gaze. His movements were slow, deliberate, and calm. Cool teal eyes framed by impossibly long lashes locked onto Izuku’s green ones.
“Hello,” (Y/N) said softly, his tone even and composed.
The voice hit Izuku like a punch to the gut. Low, smooth, and unmistakably masculine. He blinked again, his gaze darting back to the maid dress, then to the delicate face, and back again. His mind struggled to reconcile what he was seeing with what he was hearing.
“Wait,” Izuku began slowly, his voice rising an octave as he pointed at (Y/N). “He… he’s a boy?”
(Y/N) tilted his head slightly, his expression calm and unreadable. “Yes,” he replied simply.
“HUH?!” Izuku squealed, the sound echoing through the small house.
Inko jumped slightly, startled by his outburst. “Izuku, calm down!” she said, though she couldn’t help but laugh softly.
Izuku’s face burned a bright red as he pointed frantically at (Y/N). “But—he—he’s wearing a maid dress!”
(Y/N) blinked slowly, his teal eyes never leaving Izuku’s. “It’s comfortable,” he said, his voice steady and unbothered.
Izuku gawked, his mind still short-circuiting. The calmness in (Y/N)’s voice and demeanor only made the situation feel more surreal.
“See?” Inko said, smiling at her son. “He’s been so helpful already! I’m sure you two will get along just fine.”
Izuku’s gaze flicked back to his mother, his face still bright red. “M-mom,” he stammered, lowering his voice, “we need to talk about this later.”
Inko chuckled, waving a hand dismissively. “Oh, don’t be so dramatic, Izuku. You’ll get used to it.”
“Get used to—” Izuku cut himself off with a groan, running a hand through his messy hair. He turned back to (Y/N), who was now calmly sipping tea as though none of this chaos involved him.
(Y/N) met Izuku’s gaze again, his expression as calm and unreadable as before. “Do you need something?” he asked, his tone polite but detached.
“N-no!” Izuku squeaked, shaking his head furiously. “I-I’m fine!”
“Good,” (Y/N) replied, setting his teacup down with precise care.
Izuku groaned again and stomped out of the kitchen, his face still burning. He wasn’t sure how he was supposed to “get used to” this, but one thing was certain: this was going to be weird.
