Hello everyone, hope you’ve had or are having a great Saturday. Today’s #stacksaturday sees me re-visit my shelves for an #authornamestack inspired by a post the lovely Kelly @smeets_x did on her page. Right now, I have five different Charlottes to share with you! Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (one of my favourite ever classics) Haunted Houses, Two Novels by Charlotte Riddell (TBR) Greek Myths, A New Retelling by Charlotte Higgins (TBR) The Weekend by Charlotte Wood (TBR) Once There Were Wolves by Charlotte McConaghy (one of my favourite books) Have you read any of these? I’d love to know. Let’s have a chat in the comments and have a lovely weekend everyone! 🤗😘 #bookstagram #scottishbookstagrammer #bookstack #janeeyre #charlottebrontë #brontefangirl #hauntedhouses #charlotteriddell #britishlibrarytalesoftheweird #greekmythsanewretelling #charlottehiggins #theweekend #charlottewood #oncetherewerewolves #charlottemcconaghy #booksfrommyshelves #somefavouritebooks https://www.instagram.com/p/Ci5xvSnLHfO/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Hello everyone and hooray it’s the weekend! This is my first week back at work and even though it’s only half days, I feel like I’ve done a full week 😅 Here’s a book haul! I had my eye on Greek Myths in the hardback but knew I had a bookshelf space issue 😂 so managed to wait for the paperback. This is the author’s reinterpretation of some of the classic Greek myths with illustrations by Chris Ofili. I’m reading If You Believe at the moment as a buddy read with my sister @chrissireads I know she has already finished and I’m only halfway through 🙈 so I need to catch up this weekend 😂 It’s essentially the story of a young woman called Mariah who has been suffering due to events in her past. Then drifter Mad Dog Stone (yes seriously 😳) enters her life looking for work and the two help each other to move forwards. Finally, I was determined to buy Born Of No Woman for that gorgeous cover and the synopsis. It’s set in 19th century rural France it tells the story of Father Gabriel who is sent to bless the body of a woman at an asylum. Hidden under her dress he will find notebooks in which she confided the abuses she suffered and the twisted motivations behind them. I don’t think it is going to be an easy read and is quite different from the other books I’ve hauled here!! But hey, I’m all about the variety! 🤣 I’d love to know your thoughts on any of these books or authors. Let’s have a chat in the comments! #bookstagram #scottishbookstagrammer #morebooksthantime #bookhaul #obsessedbybooks #greekmythsanewretelling #charlottehiggins #ifyoubelieve #kristenhannah #bornofnowoman #franckbouysse #frenchfiction #greekmythologyobsession #buddyreadswithchrissi #readmorebooks #booksimlookingforwardto https://www.instagram.com/p/ChcrXnCrsZY/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
