I've been looking for more fics or recs if that's okay that are still smut but with plot or good characterization if that makes sense? No fr, one of my fav tropes in "humans space orcs" fandom stuff over there, is like what we eat/strength equivalent/resistence to stuff = and the reactions thereof to it lmao

What if most things just bounced off of us as humans, bc the gravity in Hyrule is different than ours, i mean it is a diff planet (kinda?)

(This is not how gravity works, more like we could have extreme jumping, but roll with my bs science im an arts kid)

or like if we did get hit, it had nowhere near the impact of how it's hit a hylian, like for example: Guardians.

The guardians get possessed/copied into Dark versions after running around Wild's hyrule enough, and so not only is it 10x harder to beat than usual guardians, as its taking nearly half the chain trying to take it down (rather than like 2 usually)

And even better if ur out of the fight bc they still expect u to not be great at it, like ok ur temperature resistent, but thats not helpful in battle-

U get fucking hit by a Guardian Laser Beam, and everyone freezes, the Links fighting the guardian, the Links fighting the misc monsters, Wild mightve even screamed and came running after you-

And you just kinda, sit. Like someone pushed you while u were off balance, and u flopped on the ground, still sitting up even 💀

And ur chest is hot, but not burned or anything

Three things I’ve been thinking of lately:

ONE:

I recently learned that people read differently in their minds🫨 the three types of reading are: subvocalization (you sound out each word internally, like reading to yourself), auditory reading (you hear the words you’ve read, faster than subvocalization) and visual reading (you just understand the meaning of the word..the fastest).

I’m a subvocalization girl which means that I read/write pretty slow but I also LOVE it, because it’s so entertaining this way. I think I mainly just read a lot of classics because their use of language and making their writing sound pretty is🤌🤌🤌 sometimes I just read chapters of Ulysses bc I like how they sound😆♥️ and for me, the main reason to read is to feast my brain!! And writing is so much fun too, because when you get that *exact* combination of words and punctuation and just aldkjgjdlsjgjss when it can sound pretty I get SO HAPPY !! (I think it’s quite obvious that I love alliteration🫶) I’m only a year into my writing journey but I’m excited to see if I can improve with it🥰♥️

But I’m curious…WHAT TYPE OF READER ARE YOU?? Did you know there were different ways?

TWO:

YOU GET TO PRACTICE TYPING (ok maybe I’m weird bc I think it’s fun😆) PLUS you get to “read” all of these amazing novels! They have Austen, Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, Fitzgerald, Orwell,Homer, etc etc etc🫶

I think physically typing out prose you admire is also an amazing practice because it’s a different way to interact with some beautiful writing. As an artist, I love doing studies of the masters because I always learn something new♥️ (not fanart, my real art😆) and I feel like this is similar for writing.

THREE:

HOW DO SOME OF YOU WRITE SO FAST🫠🫠🫠 OR EVEN READ SO MUCH🫨

Im lucky if I have even 30 min a day to write, and I see some of you posting FULL CHAPTERS almost every day🫨🫨🫨 or even every week…please teach me your ways🥺 but even if I have a longer time to write sometimes, I feel like I write at a snail’s pace because now that the plot of my fic gets so complicated, I spend so much time just THINKING instead of writing🫠 I still have fun writing though & I don’t feel bad about my writing speed, I just wish that sometimes I was a bit faster♥️

I would also recommend checking out the libraries of SecretEnigma, ClaraLaClarividente, and TeethHunter.

Specifically linking Undefined, Unspoken from the latter which is still one of my favourite RG fics to this day; as well as Finding You in Fire, a gift fic that my dear friend Iggy wrote for me inspired by the Crimelord!AU.

Your best bet beyond that is to just filter to your tastes on AO3 and see what you might find! There are a lot of lovely stories for these two out there.

Would Nikto like to have a normal relationship with someone? Like, does he want/need a certain tenderness but knows Krueger probably isn't able to show it?

Hi hello! 1. I'm doing mostly fine! Thank you for asking 🥺 I hope you're well, anon!

2. I think Nikto never really practiced "self-care" due to both his education (or lack thereof...) and his personality. However it's noticeably worse since his torture and the development of his mental illnesses/conditions because he now barely even thinks of basic human needs.

3. Good question. I think he'd be very frustrated because it's RARE, but be able to move on very quickly. Orrrr he would try extra hard (which ultimately does succeed but at very high costs with dire consequences. this would have happened with Nikto, but didn't need to because these two were doused in gasoline to begin with imo.)

4th answer regarding Nikto, Krueger and intimacy under the cut bc this got long.

(And thank you so much. I don't want to be presumptous as to say I ~invented~ the ship because there were like 3 fics when I posted Remanence already, but feeling like I was able to set its foundations in art and then consistently over the past years is unbelievable when I see where it is today.)

So, in my headcanon, Nikto craves intimacy in very very short and specific "windows", but he has a conflicted relationship with it as a concept.

Krueger can display tenderness/intimacy without a second thought if he knows it's needed by the context (and this is one), but his affectivity is abnormally... dulled? if I may say. Krueger's emotions are genuine... but extremely dampened. So it suits Nikto, because it's "as if" there were no feelings (there are. but it's beyond gestures, it's whatever they have. the codependency and violent devotion, the wordless communication... Tenderness is a rare occurrence in this whole frame - an occurrence that Nikto likes, but would rather not acknowledge, if this makes any sense.

In my headcanon, again, Nikto wouldn't be able to have a normal relationship with anyone. Normalcy repels and scares him, and even if it wasn't the case... Without extensive therapy, which he will likely never want to get, he has too many issues regarding emotions, attachment, jealousy and violence. (I want to stress this again, this is just my specific and personal hc of the character)

There is honestly a horrific lack of dad/mom/parent papyrus content considering he himself says he would be a great mom in game 🥺.

I own half of the fics tagged parental papyrus on ao3! I NEED MORE CONENT!!! And!!! There’s a wonderful child in the game whomst I love and adore who needs a family!

I've been compleatly OBSSESED with neon void so far!!! It's by far my favorite fic of any I've read!! After every chapter I have to take a second to do the happy stimmies because you write all of the scenes so well. Whenever I see a new update I clear the next hour for reading it and the subsequent geek out sesion for how AMAZING it always is. You write extremely well, you convey the characters so acurately, the fight scenes are creative, the way you write Leo's perspective is AMAZING, love the font changes, the angst PALPABLE, and just over all I love everything you're able to do with this concept. The way you can see Leo's mental state deteriorating through out the fic is just *chefs kiss*. There's so much I love about the fic that I can't possibly list everything.

Also the established difference between teleporting and portaling is so great, it adds to the pure panic that void causes for the boys aside from, y'know, crazy dude capable of beating Big Mama within an inch of her life and STRAIGHT UP OFFING a buch of other yokai. It does wonders for establishing him as a threat even though he technically isn't for the turtles. Plus I'm sure that once they find out who Void really is, it will add a bunch of tension since they'll need to stop Leo from literally SCATTERING HIS ATOMS ACROSS SPACE.

AND THE CHAPTER PREVIEW ISTG I've never gotten so much serotonin from being in this much pain ;0; The gif is perfect to set the mood, I can't wait to see what happens. You're ablility to choose just the right thing to stab so many people directly through the heart is nothing short of super-natural. BUT PLEASE give the boi some happiness, if not for his sake, for mine-

ANYWAYS this is all a VERY long way of saying, I absolutely love this and I had to draw the silly boi being the silly boi. I needed to draw him happy for the health of my heart ;-; (don't worry though, I'm working on some tasty angst right now)

Something i really, REALLY loved about Rise was the fights. Not only was the animation amazing, but it was always so creative. I try my best to make the fight scenes as silly as the boys can be, while utilizing their adaptive skills to use their surroundings to their advantage.

And bruh trying to balance Leo’s insanity in a believable way has been such a (fun) challenge so it makes me so happy to hear you like it 😭🥺 and I’m so glad people seem to like the ‘teleportation’ gimmick I’ve got going on (and that it hopefully makes sense omg)

(And i will admit I’m a little proud of my chapter previews because they are so fun to write, and i like to reassure readers that 1) i have a plan and 2) I’m keeping myself accountable to finish LOL)
