the average kid obsessed with their leader mentions him ten or less times (gord mentions derby eight times, parker six times, kirby mentions ted five times). while the leaders don't usually make names at all

peanut mentions johnny THIRTY TIMES. but johnny still mentions peanut ZERO TIMES

and idk sometimes it hits me in the back like a fucking truck

The idea is that a kid is going from a typical school setting to one where all of the typical cliques are turned on their head and take on new meanings, leading to a lot of confusion and stereotype subversion for the new kid.

Goths--"Oh they're super into architecture, they do all the stage work for the school plays and a lot of them help out with Habitat for Humanity. Not sure why the person who started the club is so into Gothic Architecture though..."

Bullies--"Those are some of the sweetest people you'll ever meet! Most of them have at least one rescue pit bull, and the founder's pibby is the mascot. They're big on animal welfare and volunteer at the shelter all the time."

Emos- "Theyre super in touch with their emotions and they're basically future therapists, they even work with the staff to make groups for different topics!"

Skaters- "You gotta watch them on the ice, they're super graceful! Figure skating also gave them super toned legs, that girl ROCKS the track team."

Greasers- "They're not so good with healthier food, but if you don't mind fried food they make the BEST stuff."

Loners-- "What? No no no LOANers! They're super generous and if you need some cash or like want to borrow a VR set for a new game or something they're the ones to ask. Usually they have like an agreement written out and that can be a pain but it really clears up expectations."

Stoners- "oh, I'm actually a Stoner! There's a huge quarry nearby where you can dig with permission, and one of us actually managed to find a fossil a few years back! It's gonna be me this time, I swear. What? Pot? You'd probably wanna talk to one of the Greasers about that."

Alright so, I need to know your thoughts on the possibility of Johnny's name coming from the song Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry. It's something that I personally think, but I wanted to share it with you to get your thoughts on it.

i never made the connection before smh but you're absolutely right!!

i always assumed it came from marlon brando's character in the wild one, but i noticed in general that it was kind of a very popular.... "rock'n'roll name" you might say in the 50s and 60s? oh and maybe not only that but popular in those years in general - see also johnny in the outsiders (set in 1965), johnny get angry by joanie sommers (1962), and to put the examples we said before, johnny b goode from berry on top (1959) or the wild one (produced in 1953)

I'm usually not one for making fandom ocs unless that oc is for a game where the mc is fully customizeable but honestly, the world and setting in bully is such an oc-able thing I had to do it. Also some of the other bully oc creators seem to be having fun and I wanna get in on that. Maybe I'm getting my hopes up but if you have a bully oc and you like my guy I would love to talk and maybe draw them together. 👀 👀

Some more fun facts

His real name is Simon but pretty much everyone knows him as Crow, even most of the teachers.

Dr. Crabblesnitch is the only one who only ever calls him Simon.

He doesn't even remember where the nickname came from exactly but it's just descriptive of his general nature.

He's a high school hustler (see tvtropes.org for more). He sells alcohol and cigarettes he smuggles on to school grounds to some of the older kids. He also deals with forged signatures and report cards and stolen test answers.

And for the right price you can also place a "special order" where he smuggles something specific for you.

Other than drugs.

His prices are usually pretty inconsisent and depend a lot on his mood and current financial situation.

He also charges rich students more and poor students less.

He's been asked to join the greasers but he deliberately avoids joining cliques because he doesn't want to get involved in the hierarchy. Says he's anti-system and wants to firmly stay outside of it.

He sells Mr. Galloway booze when he runs out of his stash during school hours and can't go to the store.

His A on english is genuine but his A+ might just be Mr. Galloway giving him some bonus points for their business dealings together.

Hates preppies with a passion. Will do business with them but the price will be high and he will be annoying about it.

Earnest is the only student he has completely banned from his little side business. He did deal him some dirty magazines at one point but then the guy asked him to do a panty raid one too many times.

Smokes like a chimney.

Generally likes Jimmy, he thinks they're alike because they both do stuff for people.

He also approves of Jimmy doing stuff for people out of kidness, but he also thinks that he should capitalize on it more. Especially when it comes to doing stuff for the preppies.

His mom used to be a maid for the Harringtons. Derby sometimes makes fun of him for it.

Gets called a f*ggot often but his response is always "that's mr. f*ggot to you"

Bully OC - Stacey Jablonski

i did a redraw of Stacey's previous volume up and drew her in winter and halloween outfits

some basic info about her

Stacey is of Polish descend, her parents moved to USA a couple years prior to USSR dissolution. She and her brother Kurt were born in USA

She got into Greaser clique because she like vintage fashion and fell in love with Hal (mostly because of the fact she started dating Hal she entered the clique)

She likes to cook and does it well! Her mother taught her how to cook because all members of their family are foodies.

Because of the lifestyle of her family all members of it are fat, her father is the biggest one in their house. Thus, she has a thing for man larger than her.

She likes music and movies from 1950s - 1990s

She and Holly (@lyalyagushkina) are best friends!

Stacey collects different paraphernalia of her favourite musical bands and movies

Thanks to her cooking skills she is one of the best students in Shop class

As she likes to cook, she brings cooked meals with her in school and for Hal too. Greasers noticed that and slowly one by one started to ask her to cook for them too. Eventually it ended her cooking for all the clique each time she gets her hands onto it.

If she can't cook - she brings pastry and cooked meals from home

She pays Jimmy to help her with the groceries or pass a lot of lunchboxes to Greasers / Or she asks for help one of the Townies to drive her to the nearest mall and back

She gained some reputation amongst the Townies because she and her family cooks warm meals for them during winter

Besides cooking, Stacey likes to draw and study different languages. She is bilingual (her family couldn't bare a thought of their kids not knowing polish)

She can give you a good advice, but most of the time it will be an unsolicited one.
