Headcanon: Dinah actually doesn’t care much about the races outside of supporting Greaseball and having fun with the coaches.

Unpopular Opinion: I’m okay with Dinah forgiving Greaseball at the end but I don’t think she should get back together with him immediately.

I'm basic and I too love me some GreaseDinah. I headcanon that they eventually get married, even.

HOWEVER, I do like to partake in both platonic and romantic Dinah x CB. I think they met before GB met Dinah and they tried to date/kiss/have sex, but it felt way too weird for both of them after a hot minute. They decided mutually that they would be better off as best friends.

I also like to think that in some AU, Dinah and Pearl dump their boys and get together instead. And subsequently drive each other crazy, but at the end of the day, they still love each other lol.

college au greasedinah is funny if we think of the coaches as a sorority and gb as like a star athlete for the school

gb hooks up with one of the sorority sisters and ends up running into dinah when she’s leaving the house. (for convenience purposes she’s never met or run into dinah before)

gb and whichever sister she was hooking up with are like fwb so she’s just bugging this poor girl constantly trying to get some info on dinah (she’s very cool and suave guys trust me)

since all the sisters are good friends n all, ofc this girl tells dinah gb is interested in her and dinah is (secretly) really excited because omg hot girl is into me but also said hot girl is practically famous on campus for being a huge player so she isn’t terribly hopeful for anything big to come of it

dinah just kind of ignores it and doesn’t pursue anything for a while because of this but it soon becomes clear gb is Not giving up easily. she’s convinced she can get dinah to date her.

gb does have to face that she actually really likes dinah romantically and doesn’t just want to get in her pants after dinah rejects her offer to hook up and she’s wayyy too devastated about it.

I sorta think of the male iterations of greaseball as the older brother of fem!greaseball, since they’re definitely such different characters

like fem!greaseball (referred to as graham in my brain bc they wouldn’t both be greaseball at the same time, seems like an inherited title, maybe from their dad) always grew up in her brother’s shadow and wanted to beat him at everything so now that she’s in the spotlight she does Not like giving it up at all

dinah is still just one character, she dates og greaseball and he brings her around his family a decent amount, which kinda leads to graham developing feelings for her as well because dinah is one of few people who doesn’t treat her like she’s invisible or in the shadow of her brother.

og greaseball is a Bad Boyfriend and he and dinah break up, but dinah still spends time with graham because she’s having gay realizations and also just because they like each other.

graham is still cocky and a bit of a posturing asshole but is definitely much much nicer and more caring towards her than og greaseball was (she was borderline obsessed with the idea of being a better partner to dinah than her brother could because again they’re competitive as hell, dinah is aware and thinks it’s adorable)

graham acts the way she does in the show because she’s desperate to be better than her brother, and a lot of what she has to overcome is an inferiority complex. she feels like emotions make her weak and that she can’t be vulnerable, but she learns with time how to be more open with friends, which she can keep bow because she’s better at being nice to people lmao

Dinah’s First Time Smoking! (TB/Coffee Shop AU)

a/n: so i’ve actually been thinking about this too bc dinah kind of exudes goody two shoes energy, so i doubt she’s gotten high before

warnings: drug use (weed), underage smoking, they’re crushin on each otheerrr

So Greaseball is 17 and Dinah is 16 when they first encounter each other

Dinah’s like a straight A student, cheerleader, never stepped out of line goody two shoes kid and she is S T R E S S E D okay

Greaseball has probably kind of given up on everything but sports because that’s what she’s good at, so she’s fine misbehaving a bit (and getting other people to do it with her lmao)

When Dinah comes upon her smoking at the picnic table, she’s like, hella nervous at first because oh my god isn’t that Illegal??? but she agrees to not tell for the first few times she visits the spot

The fourth time she slips in to the clearing, it’s before Greaseball gets there. When she does, she finds Dinah laying on the picnic table and staring at the sky

Dinah’s day had sucked, really badly. School was really starting to get to her, and the pressure at home wasn’t helping. She barely had the time to take a breath here and there.

The two of them talked and vented about their respective issues for a bit, and then Greaseball pulled out her joint she’d come out to smoke

After she had lit it, Dinah quietly asked if she could try it, fiddling with her hands in her lap. She thought maybe it could help her calm down a little

Greaseball obliged, going to sit next to her so she could help her not choke. She held the joint up to Dinah’s lips and showed her how to breathe in the smoke comfortably

Dinah sputtered a little bit but still got it down, surprising Greaseball a little bit. She quickly began feeling a little fuzzy headed and giggly, laying her head on GB’s shoulder.

“How ya feelin? It helping?” Greaseball let Dinah lean on her, no one else was around to see after all (and she was cute)

Dinah nodded, “My brain’s like….empty, feels good” It was a weird spacey feeling, but she couldn’t remember what she was so stressed about, so that was a plus.

“Lightweight.” Greaseball chuckled at how spaced out she was, glad Dinah wasn’t panicking like she had the first time she smoked.

Dinah smiled dazedly at her, “You’re pretty…” she reached up and poked Greaseball’s cheek, laughing as she did so.

Greaseball felt her face heat up a little too much for it to just be a side effect of the weed, and why wouldn’t she be blushing? a really pretty girl just called Her pretty while stoned for the first time, which meant she probably meant it

They hung out and talked in the clearing for a few hours until Dinah came down enough to drive herself home safely, though GB made sure Dinah had her number just in case she needed help getting home (she also just wanted to talk to her obvs)

Theyre cute as always and i wrote this while i was half asleep have fun

The Coffee Shop Crew

Dinah and Electra are like the queer baristas of everyone’s dreams, the drinks they make always SLAP

Dinah is in charge of doing all the artsy chalkboard menus for the week

Belle and Tassita make TikToks at work with their drink ideas to advertise for the store

Really they all make TikToks at work, Momma lets them because they bring in business

They all treat Momma like their mother hen and it’s really sweet

Dinah always works the drive thru, it’s her favorite spot.

Electra works cold bar, Belle works hot bar, and Tassita works the register, Pearl does the cafe treats!

After close they blast Kesha on the store stereo system while they clean

Tassita curates the store playlist

They all like genuinely love their jobs even though customers can SUCK, Momma is a really wonderful boss

However they do get stoned in the parking lot after their shifts a lot, just for funsies

There are other staff members who work days, but our cast works the night shift for plot purposes

Pearl bakes all the pastries with Dinah, they stay late after close to come up with new recipes

Dinah has been at the store the longest (besides Momma), and she’s kind of the unofficial shift lead because she knows Everything

The Taco Bell Crew

Greaseball has been there the longest, she’s the night shift lead and she verifiably hates her job

Rusty is a new hire who is still like trying to do everything correctly even though everyone keeps telling him it’s unnecessary and that noone actually cares that much

Greaseball got her nickname because she worked grill for a long time and would always be covered in cooking oil after her shifts

Hydra is the Taco Bell worker in the drive thru that is just perpetually high as a kite

Slick just sits in the back and plays on their phone instead of actually doing anything, Greaseball does Not care

The highlight of all of their shifts is trading burritos for coffee and muffins from the cafe tbh

They have burrito rolling competitions to see who does the most in the least time (Greaseball is the reigning champ ofc)
