Meet Michayla Grbich, one of the many artists collaborating in World Roulette!

Michayla Grbich is an illustrator with interests in editorial illustration, promotional work, zines, and product design. Her work tends to focus on narrative-based pieces, music, and appealing/thematic color palettes. She has a broad range of interests– from rock music to animals, to nature, and loves to explore these areas within her work.

“I went to MCAD (‘19) and found my way into LGAL within a few weeks of the start of my first freshman semester. I was really excited that there was a gallery where illustration could live– I'd never seen that before– and it so close to where I was attending school. All the projects were so fun, and the caliber of work was so inspiring to me– I knew that I wanted to be part of LGAL's shows one day and I attended as many openings as I could. I found many illustrators I could look up to from these shows, and it really helped my own drive and creative process to constantly see other artists in my field create relevant works.”

North Coast Brewing’s award-winning Brother Thelonious is widely loved due to its rich, complex flavor profile and its namesake, legendary Jazz icon Thelonious Monk.

Fans of Brother Thelonious can expect to find the strong dark ale on draft as well as in 750 milliliter and 12 ounce bottles showcasing an updated appearance. With an ABV of over nine percent, this robust ale is North Coast Brewing’s bold interpretation of the Belgian style abbey ales brewed by Trappist monks.

Brother Thelonious’ refreshed label is a striking depiction of the inspiration behind this beer. The artwork presents a nod to the Belgian monks that popularized this style of ale alongside America’s own “monk” – famed Jazz musician Thelonious Monk. Citrus County Citizens’ Academy Recognizes Fall 2017 Graduates

The 2017 Fall Citizens Academy Graduation Event was held at the Historic Courthouse Museum in Inverness on Thursday, November 30. In attendance was County Administrator Randy Oliver, who congratulated the participants and thanked them for spending time learning more about local government. Graduates recognized at the event were: James Bell, Susan Bell, Rita Bosse, Bill Buesching, Bonnie Buesching, Stephanie Clamer, Mary Fenton, Clara Gettman, Doris Gratopp, Irene Grbich, Sean Hennebery, Lezlie Hughes, Lynn Mazzie, Karen Pyrtek, Pat Scully, Don Smith, Sally Smith, and Bret Touchton. The Citrus County Citizens’ Academy is an interactive program that focuses on educating citizens about the County’s governmental operations. Elected officials, Constitutional Officers, Department Directors and county staff host unique and informative sessions designed to give a hands-on inside look into county government operations. Participants learn about our local government, the community in which we live, and at the end of the twelve sessions, have made new friends, and most of all gained knowledge to be great ambassadors within our community.
