We are back with our sister Shannon, and we are still with the team butterflies. When making the artistic touch to her portrait personal, she told me, by her accepting the transition to allowing her hair to become a glorious silver grey, she link it to being a butterfly and being free.

We are still with our dear sister Loria, I have gone back to basics, I have not done any double exposure, or photo blending. I kept this portrait at its simplest form. Loria had no make up applied just pure natural beauty. But I wanted to build on it just a little. It was a little ambitious for me, but I wanted to add just a little make up, and do a little bit of retouching on the skin. With new software I can apply lipstick, eyeliner, eyeshadow. - The key is to make sure you don’t over do it. What adds to the beauty, is Loria beautiful lovely silver hair. In the end, I gave the image a overall soft look. I love rich, deep colours in an image. And with my dear sister Mazz, I did not hold back. I did ask Mazz what’s her favourite colour, and she told me it was lime Green. Also her favourite flowers was Roses. So in her portrait I combine the two. This next post of Laureen, is a beautiful artistic touch to her portrait. She told told me as well loving the critical blue sea and golden sanded beaches, she said that she love’s beautiful gardens. I wanted to make this close and personal. This image has a beautiful blend. I picked the flower and the butterflies colour, because it makes the image pop but it also blends very well with her skin. I’m also being influenced by another silver queen, Name is Shannon. The butterfly was a metaphor for freedom. Shannon have made it clear how her transition to silver hair, was a statement of freedom. Introducing this butterfly to Laureen‘s portrait I felt appropriate. Making a transition like this can be an emotional time for sisters. I like this portrait, sisters should see themselves as free and beautiful. Sometimes it good to go right down to the basics. What got me started in digital art, It’s the artist that are following me, and me following them. The ones that do pencil art by hand.
