she was born in the fifteen minutes between ford and stan’s birth, so they all have the same birthday, and she’s considered their “unofficial triplet”

caryn ADORES leanne, more than leanne’s own mother, suzanna, and so she had a really good connection to the stan twins’ mom

she technically calls herself a sorceress due to her powers, but the pines all call her a witch (except ford, who calls her a “supernatural chaos maker” which TOTALLY wasn’t leanne’s idea *wink wink*)

she had no real friends in school besides the stan twins, and it really affected her social life. on one hand, she’s crashing her father’s new car and having house parties with stan, on the other, she’s making A++ at school and is winning academic decathlons with ford

as a kid, she was always teased for her copper hair color, so when she was a teen she dyed it brown, but the roots grew in fast

when martin and shellie (my hcs for dipper’s and mabel’s parents) called stan and told him about their summer visit, leanne had to go into an extensive crash course on how not to curse in front of children. she didn’t last long

she and bill cipher were… actually friendly for a while after they first met. not anything other than acquaintances because they both had a mutual distrust in the other, but they did have moments where they were oddly nice to each other

leanne doted on the mystery twins the minute they arrived, and loved mabel for her creativity and dipper for his curiosity

leanne’s symbol and nickname from bill is a firework. the day before stan was kicked out, he gifted her a firework hair clip that she kept for ages, even wearing it during the twins’ visit

billee (leanne when possessed) can use bill’s magic through leanne’s body because of the magic in her blood. bill knows she was a descendant of a woman he assisted in the salem witch trials and uses her abilities to his advantage, even going so far as to teach her to earn her trust

leanne is very protective over soos, which comes as a concern for some people. but she sees that young boy who didn’t like his birthdays and attempted to help him cheer up over the years

leanne had exactly 24 “relationships” during the six years she and ford worked in gravity falls. absolutely none of them worked, and she didn’t want them to

lea has killed a man. actually a few men. very alive men. no, she won’t tell you why, when, were, or how, but she does say this one day and it freaks stan out because he thinks he might be next

her own parents put her together with ford for EVERYTHING, from school projects to outings to really forced “dates.” they didn’t get together because ford’s as straight as a circle and leanne had a crush on stan

leanne and fiddleford had a great relationship even after college. when he left the project and started using the memory gun, leanne would try in vain to bring him back to his senses. before the “society of the blind eye” ep, he would always be drawn to her, without really remembering why

leanne really doesn’t understand stan’s rivalry with gideon until he comes over and she realizes what a fake he is (leanne IS a telepath, and CAN read peoples’ minds, she just chooses not to)

leanne has terms of endearment for EVERYONE, and no one really knows why. she calls mabel “sweet pea,” dipper is “small fry,” soos is “star trooper,” wendy is “lazy maizy,” ford is “six string,” and stan? she doesn’t have a specific one for stan, but she uses “sweetheart” just a little too much

leanne’s got a weird southern/jersey mix and it is SO heavy when she gets angry. because she’s training herself not to swear, she rambles in her accent for minutes at a time when most things annoy her

leanne shouted “FUCK!” one time in front of the twins by accident (you try to keep it in when a brick falls on YOUR foot) and mabel, stan, and dipper secretly made a challenge to get her to say another one. she eventually caught on and spent a week locked in her room, cruising herself out so they wouldn’t win

leanne absolutely despises the northwests for their privilege because it reminds her of her own parents and the life she was raised, and such is proud of pacifica for breaking the cycle

she was legally married to ford for like 40 years, but only for tax benefits. and besides, she got divorced when stan married goldie in vegas. never changed her name though, even though her parents wanted her to

Sonic Underground episode 34: Sonia’s Choice

I’m watching Sonic Underground in search of inspiration to finish a fic I’ve been writing forever. It’s a sad state of affairs. See the recap of the first three episodes here, if you're interested!

The plot (for want of a better word): During an important mission to recover important royal artefacts, Sonic and Manic are captured by Robotnik, and held on opposite ends of the city in separate robotocisors! How can Sonia choose between her two precious brothers?

A thing that Sonic Underground really enjoys doing, but I have never commented on until now, is establishing shots. I think I internalised this as something I really like, because when I write, I often wish I was better at descriptive or poetic writing to be able to create establishing shots at the start of chapters and stories. They set a mood. In this episode, we’re introduced to Anés which is totally not Paris: a romantic noir cosmopolitan city resort. Robotnik is telling Sleet and Dingo how he’s going to set it as the death site of the Hedgehog line. Cheery!

This episode’s got a real sinister tone to it, as we watch the triplets getting harassed by heat-seeking missiles, only barely escaping by Sonic carting his siblings around until they reach a position to fight back with medallions, and Robotnik, Sleet, and Dingo setting a bunch of traps, underlain by some very effective music. Credit where due.

TREVOR! And Renee, who I have adored forever. Renee is the leader of the underground in Anés, and is a shockingly pragmatic female character for Sonic Underground. They have come to tell the triplets about some relics Robotnik is auctioning off: four Royal Hedgehog goblets.

Now, this feels like something that should have been plot important. It feels like the overarching story was supposed to be that they would collect these goblets and that would be proof the Council of Four was ready to rejoin. It feels like there was a bunch of trials and character developing and leadership guiding quests that should have led to these goblets. They even look appropriate to each of the four members of the Council, if you tilt your head and squint. Don’t bother. These feelings are wrong. The goblets are just relics that Robotnik is auctioning off to tempt the triplets into a trap.

For once, everyone is supportive of Manic’s thievery, because they need to plan a heist. Apparently the moral guardians were asleep when this episode got through approvals.

Sonic is having a hard time this episode, having to go undercover and not move fast or make rash decisions. Despite stealing being Manic’s whole thing, Sonia is of course on point for this episode, calling every shot and being responsible.

Let Manic be useful, show, PLEASE, WE HAVE LESS THAN SIX EPISODES LEFT, I AM BEGGING YOU.

Do you remember, back in episode 14, I mentioned that Sonic has gravity-defying sneakers? This is where they show up. Continuity, or something. It’s not weird! They seeded them! It's totally not out of nowhere, honest.

Also, it is my duty as a non-American to correct something they say in this scene. “Just two more metres!” “What?” “That’s one more step.” Guys. A metre is 100 centimetres. Sonic is a metre tall. A metre is basically three feet. So it’s a really big step, is what I’m saying.

Sonia tells Manic not to steal anything extra. Manic steals something extra. Manic’s thieving is a problem. Despite them being on a heist. This extra theft, combined with Sonic falling on Manic, causes the triplets to set off the alarms. The moral guardians must have woken up!

They get away, but this was all part of Robotnik’s plan. He has apparently coated the floor in something that went on the soles of everyone’s shoes and will therefore allow him to track them down. In natural fashion, Manic is immediately caught, then, because this is Sonia’s episode, Sonic gets caught too in 'mega-muck', which I think they probably meant to be the sticky stuff we’ve seen catch the triplets in previous episodes, but is brown and just looks like sewer water because that’s what the animators were drawing. To be fair to the script, which may just be a 4Kids style translation choice, that would make more sense than Sonic just being caught because they caught up to him. Sonia and Renee escape by diving into the river.

As he has foolishly done before, Robotnik decides he’s going to not immediately robotocise the greatest threat to his empire, but rather torture Sonia by placing Sonic and Manic in portable robotocisors on opposite sides of the city. She has to choose between them oh no. Now, all narrative tension aside, this is possibly the dumbest thing Robotnik has done in the series to date. Because Sonia makes the obvious decision here: she rescues Sonic, who is A) nearly fast enough to rescue Manic anyway, B) a much greater threat to Robotnik with or without his siblings, and C) would be a HUGE RISK if all his speed and power was put to Robotnik’s side. She won’t actually give reasons for why she rescues Sonic first (there’s a fic on fanfiction.net that goes into it if you’re interested), but just… even Robotnik knows she’s just going to choose Sonic. So why bother? This is needlessly complicated, and risky, and

And I'm going to move on.

The song: Never Easy For Us. It’s supposed to be a sweet ballad about the trials and tribulations of being in the Resistance, but... Look I’m a millennial, I was an emo kid too. I am pretty sure I bought the original Simple Plan album (all my old CDs are mixed up with my sister's. I don't know who bought what). But because of Sonia’s nasal-country vocals (and I’m sorry, her singing voice is usually okay, but she does not hit these notes), this just sounds more whiny than the early 90s girl group ballad they were going for. The instrumentals are okay though.

Anyway. Sonia decides she’s going to rescue both of them with Renee’s help, which… I mean, obviously? Again, not to trash on my trashfire here, but… the Sonic Underground are not the only members of the Resistance. Trevor is literally talking to Renee through a headset all episode. They have a whole team of people they could call on to rescue Manic. This conflict is so narratively stupid.

But because they only send Renee, she gets pretty easily captured, and Manic is being taken into the robotocisor when SOMEONE flies in with a ship that shoots the robotocisor and destroys the guarding SWATbots. We hear Aleena’s voice. Shock. It was her, once again appearing to save her kid before running off again. At least her kids maybe even saw her this time? They don’t make a lot of it.

Anyway. We end on the triplets using the goblets to toast, and it’s a thing.

This episode was a weird one for me, because it was actually… not bad, except for the eponymous choice, which I CANNOT LET GO, Aleena appearing, and Robotnik being needlessly complicated. All the traps on traps on traps and… it was just a lot that didn't feel necessary.

…I actually wrote a whole rant about Sonia and Manic that explains further why my frustration bubbled over, but it moved away from the episode so I’ll leave it out. Maybe it will become part of an ending review about the series as a whole, or a character rant, who knows.

I got some mad AU’s swimming in my head right now. Oh Ducktales..What are you doing to meeeee...I can’t guarantee that I will get all of these done but I need some place to put them all and figure out which ones to do first...I haven’t had many people request them so I guess its up to me! Welp here we go.. Untitled prophecy story A prophecy for the McDuck clan was discovered and when Scrooge read it, he was both worried and semi relieved. For you see the prophecy stated that four offspring of the McDuck line would face tragedy and loss. The one with the book will lose their sight The one with the strong will would lose their body The one with the skills would lose their voice The one to inherit the light would be consumed by shadows. Good thing clan McDuck had no one that had four children. But...an ancient evil was unleashed and began to attack them. And Scrooge slowly realized how wrong he was. Fragments- At 16, the triplets and Webby have formed tight bonds. Louie is slowly earning his first million from Louie Inc, Webby has become a part time spy with SHUSH and part time explorer. Dewey has his pilot's license and is often seen going on adventures and spy missions with Webby, and Huey is busy developing new technology to help his family in any way he can as well as the world. But when Louie is offered a cool deal for a new kind of fuel that may help Duckburg and the world, he seeks the help of Webby, Lena and his brothers. All five go this mysterious island that only appears once every 500 years, keeping this a secret from their guardians of course! But this island becomes much more than even they can handle. Split up and quickly running out of time, each group has to rely on their strengths to face the trials the island throws at them. But the clock is ticking and they must escape this island, even at the cost of one of their own. Make a Move- Webby had been told what happened to her parents by her Granny. But on the night before her 16th birthday a man shows up claiming he is her father. Flashy, rich and quite mysterious, Vincent Vanderquack seemed to appear from nowhere. As she slowly begins to learn the truth of her birth, she also learns her fathers true intentions. Everyone else believes he is pure evil, but is that really the case? Beakley/Webby AU (No working title yet) With another enemy randomly appearing, the boys and Scrooge were kidnapped with Scrooge leaving a letter for Beakley to come and rescue them. Knowing that is obviously a test for her and Webby, Beakley can’t help but be annoyed at the old codger for setting this up. Never the less, a excited Webby and obviously resistant Beakley decide to rescue them. After all, what could go wrong? Only it does, it goes so wrong that Beakley and Webby are trapped and quickly running out of air. Now the boys and Scrooge have to escape their captives to rescue the rescuers. But the clock is ticking and as each side tries to save Beakley and Webby, secrets and fears are revealed. What is Beakley hiding about her past? Why has she been so overprotective over Webby all these years? And will Webby be able to accept the hard truths coming her way? And most importantly....will they escape? Past Lives- Webby Vanderquack has haunted the McDuck manor as long as she could remember. It wasn’t easy hiding from Scrooge but she knew if he had found her spirit she would have been driven out of her home. When the triplets came everything changed. The boys stumbled upon her one day and although were scared soon realized she wouldn’t hurt them. Trying to keep their new ghost friend a secret, the boys soon realized there was more to Webby than just a ghost haunting a random house. She and Scrooge were connected somehow and Dewey especially had to find out how. After a heated confrontation with Scrooge upon the matter, the boys slowly are coming closer to the truth. But will it do more harm than good?  I’ve also got small fragments of ideas for Steampunk Ducks, Gravity Falls/Ducktales crossover, and maybe a KH/Ducktales.....but those may not form into real stories sadly ;_;..............Take into account I have other original stories I’m working on... like Lore’s stories....and other Original stories I’m soooo swamped! (Flops) I want to post the songfic here...but I’m too nervous...not sure anyone would really see it though...so that might be a plus...(ponders)...wahhhhh.

Island of God's. Luck tied (ver fusion)

Donstone didn't know why actually he knew why he agreed to the triplets and webby wish of him going on a adventure to some dangerous place with them as he looked at them talking to each other .

the reason why was them using puppy eyes on him and boy can't he not resist the puppy eyes with tiny tears or anything the triplets did made him unable to resist treating them and donstone knew they had him in their hands with webby already gaining a spot too in his heart too. Donstone like everyone else jumped at the sound of lighting got himself ready incase of a emergency and he slipped hitting the back of the airplane as he got himself back up but then everything lost gravity and he knew this was going to hurt as the airplane crashed down.

He checked himself for any injuries but he was fine for just been in a crashing airplane so he walked towards the others as he heard his uncle say "ithaquack" with himself shouting "what" and he didn't want to stay as part of him wanted to say "no no no no " but the Gladstone part wanted to see these gods and donstone remember the fuel scrooge caused years ago so he agreed with his uncle "no we need to leave " but launchpad denied that so he was stuck but he at least for himself was going to experience ithaquack.

Donstone noticed the triplets and webby run into two groups "wait it's better if we stick together and explore " but they didn't hear him so he went to direction if huey whom was looking at pillar and he picked him up in one arm whilst he walked towards louie whom was laying on the ground and he stood above him with a frowning huey.

Louie looked at him as he asked "your blocking my light" and he picked him up as he spoke "now we going back to the airplane with you staying there as I found webby and dewey then we explore okay " louie asked "what's so dangerous that we can't go alone" then he got bear hugged from behind as the huey and louie were tossed forward.

Huey and louie were curious of who this man bulky, blonde haired bird was as he just hugged their uncle to the ground which was surprising to them as him tossing their uncle Into the air as he spoke "what glorious day for the return of friend Donald the sailor of the seven seas and his fusion " as he placed donstone face between his pecs with his feet touching the floor.

Donstone greeted him as he smelled the scent of storkules from the embrassing way his faced was placed so removing himself as he looked up to storkcules sightly " hello storkules nice to meet you I'm Donstone wait did you say fusion how did you know that" storkules just laughed " my freind donstone haven't I told you I'm a god of strength and fusion it's self is part of my gifts so if you wanted to fuse you can happily ask to" as he smiled godly.

Donstone really need to keep distance to this godly man as everything was checking list of a perfect man for donstone so acting calm " no thanks storkcules but meet louie and huey my nephews" storkules looked at him to Huey and louie before picking them up as he proclaimed them "hero's in the makings" as he squished their faces to his smiling. Huey asked " your uncle must of tod you I'm storkules colossus of corinth and hero of heliopolis and best friend to Donstone duck " as he does fistbump and receives one from donstone whom trying his best to look okay.

Huey and louie were amazed by the god as huey asked in amazement "your best friend is storkules " donstone couldn't say he was his best friend but he was a friend yes from what he remembered from Donald so " he's a friend yes" as he looked at storkules whom had a big smile on his face as he picked him up "donstone call me his friend o what a glorious day" scrooge peeked his head out of the airplane as he whispered " we need to get out of here for you know who " with confused louie asking "for who to not know we are here" but that got answered as a floating cloud with a man on top appeared "how dare you defy the will of zeus" but he got rambling huey asking him questions.

Donstone looked as huey asked zeus questions about him but donstone could see where storkcules got his genes from but then zeus brought up that "it was amazing until your uncle scrooge came and brought his riff raff" as he points to scrooge with himself and scrooge looking In the other knowing things were going to be difficult.

Zeus brought them to a ring as they sat down listening to zeus story. " ithaquack was the holiday for gods and hero's and I was the god of hosting and everyone love me then scrooge showed up" zeus started pointing to vases that housed images of what scrooge done and to donstone his uncle over did it " killing the unlikable gorgon, found the lost treasure of Troy and he was really good at building sandcastles ba"

louie saying "that sounds quite fun" getting reply from storkcules as he showed a vase of Donald and storkules which donstone liked maybe he could get one.

" it was " zeus disagreed "it wasn't as scrooge acted so cool " scrooge just rolled his eyes as he spoke "leave it to a god to whine about the god old days" scrooge stood up as he asked "where everyone " zeus annoyed replied "they left when you did as they didn't want to party with lame god that couldn't beat a lowly mortal" which scrooge showed them a vase of zeus sending lighting down "maybe there was year round lighting storm as he looked away.

Donstone got both points to scrooge and zeus but this wasn't his problem to solve and knowing his uncle it probably become worse. Storkules picked him up as he spoke "now you returned, Storkules, Donald and fiery sister" Storkules hesitates as he asks "where's della"

Donstone doesn't speak as he looks to Huey and Louie whom looking at vases and turning his head to the ground as Storkcules understood what it meant and trying to cheer him up Storkules proclaims " then we shall on on a arousing adventure to remember our fallen friend" donstone speaks "I don't really do adventures anymore"

"What adventure is the very blood in your veins well we must host a feast to celebrate your return" with Huey and Louie Cheering as zeus and scrooge say "what " storkules looking towards his father " father a god of hosting wouldn't cast out a crew of werry travelers" as he strokes donstone back causing a blush to form.

Zeus falling Into his sons hands mumbles " well no I guest not " as he turns his head away whilst still looking at his son. Storkules laughs "it be a back of all like the ages Beach party" with himself, huey and louie cheering.

The beach party was okay as donstone would say it and that was being nice but it ended as his uncle got zeus temper as he spoke "how dare you mortal is dim no good which I'd insulting ithaquack" with scrooge replies " maybe they left because of you"

Storkules trying to avoid a conflict suggest beach gangs but his father changes it " a contest if your family versus mine in series of heroic trials ya all shall know we are the superior party hounds " as he turns his head seeing the ducks try to leave. Huey protests as he speaks "epic trials,zeus" then louie " delicious grapes " with his hands in the air. Turning his body zeus faces them using his staff he makes a barrier forcing the family to the area "your not going anywhere " with the ducklings cheering and the adults groaning.

Donstone changes outfit like his family into tonics which donstone quite likes maybe he keep it but he goes to where the others are whilst not having heard what the just said he instead can't help but stare at storkcules lifting weights whilst noticing the conversation between the father and son.

They do the trials with huey taking the first with using the tonic he wore to win. The next trial was won by donstone as he tossed the disk the furthest but good gods was storkcules strong the disk caught fire and each trial was more of the winning but the statue trial with storkcules making a buff Donald which donstone found embrassing. Then last trial.

Zeus speaks "the ultimate challenge, steal the golden fleece from this child" scrooge disappointed asks "this your ultimate challenge" with louie looking to his brother saying "there's no way we beat storkules this one" with everyone looking at storkules. Storkules couldn't steal from a child he was a hero and stealing was wrong " steal from a child but if I do such a thing could I truly be called a hero donstone I'm in need of your wise council" but donstone was there as he walked away.

Donstone couldn't stay near him he was making donstone heart get all fast and his body just want to jump on him.

storkules at every moment but he turned as he heard storkules ask " boon companion Donstone where are you going" donstone spoke as he tried to say his words right " your nice guy" storkules replies " the most nice guy" adorable but storkules continues "for I am storkules the hero of " donstone interpret him " nono I'm don't do adventures really anymore I'm more of parent now and going on adventures means someone going to get hurt" storkcules says back " getting hurt is part of the adventure and eat would della say as age hear you now" "she can't " before looking away with the words "someone always gets hurt"

Donstone walked to where the airplane was as he stood a barrier away from the airplane and he tries to grab it but he gets shocked as he yelps in pain but hears his nephews scream for help as he speaks "boys " as he runs toward their direction. Storkules apologises as he can't control his body as he about to punch the ducklings and scrooge but stopped when he hears donstone in a heroic voice behind him " no one gets hurt today"

The two birds fight with Storkules flinging his fists towards Donstone whom avoids the hits whilst moving around Storkules with Storkules punching himself but Storkules gets hold of Donstone by the arms as he proclaims in sorrow "I regret this most bitterly" but scrooge jumps on Storkules shoulders and places his cane into Storkules month as he speaks "like old times lad" donstone replies "yeah" whilst they distract Storkules it's louie that convinces the gorgon to stop.

Storkules free from the gorgon voice looks down to donstone as he hugs and rolls him as he proclaims "donstone you have saved me " zeus in annoyed speaks "what are you doing, don't hug the enemy" with scrooge saying "their best friends" and donstone replies "friends"

Scrooge and zeus have a trial themselves with scrooge losing on purpose as to make zeus finally get over it. Storkules walks up to donstone "you make think you gave up adventuring but it hasn't given up on you and your a hero never the less" donstone smiles "thanks Storkules my friend" but before he they could hug the sky turns grey and zeus screams in anger with himself and everyone which reminds him to ask where webby sad dewey went but he saves that for later as they run to the ship which they found is been broken apart.
