Wuya mocks Chase for his attachment to the monk, and Chase taunts Wuya for her attachment to the worm.

Their little human attachments could use a hand though, so the taunts are cut short and they handle their business first.

Why is Chase Young alive in the timeline where Jack won?

Why didn't Chase Young die in the timeline Jack came out on top? He doesn't seem to be able to drink his soup... Does he really need it to remain immortal? Did Jack force him to drink it everyday?

Did Chase really need to drink that soup everyday to keep the deal? If he had already sold his soul the first time he drank the soup, then why keep drinking it? Does he need to constantly keep drinking the Lao Mang Lone soup even if he already has no soul? What would happen if he stops drinking it? Would th deal be off? Would he get old and die? Would he not?

This opens the space to speculate that maybe the reason Chase keeps drinking the soup is because of an inability to keep himself from drinking it, and keeps craving more. The soup also must help him from not deviating his mind from the pursue of evil, and keeps him on check- We can see when good!Chase drank the soup, he immediately started attacking the children without any other reason other than for the sake of evil, when a moment ago he would have never done that.

Chase himself told Omi evil isn't something that came naturally to him, he said it's an "acquired taste". It's very possible, as @grasshopperdoingdogpaddle mentioned once in one of their posts (I would link the post but using Tumblr on mobile is already hard enough, but I may edit this to add the link later), that the Soup™ played a big role on keeping Chase on the side of evil when he was with Hannibal.

So, in the timeline where Chase is tortured, he may not have had access to his soup, but it wouldn't affect him on his ability to keep himself from ageing.

And although he may not have the soup to keep himself from distancing from the side of evil in the Jack timeline, we have to consider:

He has been drinking the evil-no-good soup for like a millennia from now, it wouldn't make sense for him to just change his ways. He is probably still very influenced by that thing.

He is trapped on the same place where Hannibal and Wuya are. Although we haven't seen them interact with eachother that time, I think it's safe to assume they do not really get along.

Chase is constantly tortured by Jack, being called a coward and tortured with cold water on his head. Prob doesn't help at all. I think he also has short hair now. Yup. No good.

And most importantly, Omi is not there. The one person Chase cares for more than anything, and is the closest he got to another being as equals in like a thousand years or so, disappeared one day without trace. The single person who avoided the contempt of the beast Chase turned into, and made the other side of him appear at times. We can even argue, considering how pleased Chase was when Omi finally came, he might not have been as evil as before, but without Omi there, he wouldn't really change his perception of things, and keep being evil.

My point is: Kids, don't drink soup.

I love motorcycle aus! How did Omi and Chase meet?

At Omi’s Dojo! Chase was there first but Omi has been going there since he was, like, 5 so he has known Chase for a while. Omi was pretty quick to latch onto the guy too, because he thought he was ‘cool’. Chase agrees. He is absolutely the coolest.

Dashi 100% encourages their relationship because he thinks Omi is a good influence in Chase’s life but also: Chase is less likely to do too many illegal things when he has Omi tagging along with him so that’s a win!

He absolutely asks Omi every time him and Chase get back from a ‘field trip’ if he had fun babysitting Chase for him and Omi, very sagely and adult like nods and goes “oh yes. He was very well behaved. He only stole two ice cream cones today.”

I found your blog via grasshopper's blog. Loved your discussions and content. You both give many interesting insights. Your contribution to the fandom as bloggers and writers is so vast I consider you gods, haha. Even with these text posts in which you make fun of XS characters - I'm cackling. Especially I'm very fond of 'big tidy guan' and 'Dojo where is Atlantis' Also, I'm looking forward to more wu-redesigns adult!Omi is about to make. And I'm obsessed with your au with soup-powered Dashi. You're just an amazing person with an incredible sense of humor and full of mind-blowing ideas for a niche franchise. And that's why more people should follow your lovely blog.

Well, it's certainly nice to know I was found through a friend! I always have fun discussing headcanons and such with @grasshopperdoingdogpaddle, always so many fascinating topics of discussion! Though I don't know about considering myself a god (except maybe of chaos haha), I just like to have fun.

And I enjoy incorrect quotes style stuff, too! It's just really fun to imagine them being goofy when talking. I like to imagine it as a bloopers sort of thing. And I have lots of fun making the memes, I feel very affectionate toward the kind of ridiculousness they have going on.

I do plan on doing more Altered Wu stuff in the future! I have many ideas for the ones I haven't mentioned so far so I'm glad you're interested in hearing more in the future!

I absolutely love Studio Ghibli stuff and so I just had to draw the kids from @grasshopperdoingdogpaddle ‘s Spirited Away AU!!

I think, out of everyone, Clay was the hardest to design. Raimundo and Kimiko both have a pretty easy figures to translate to Ghibli style, but finding references for Clay proved a little harder. Still, I’m really happy with how this turned out!
