Why is Chase Young alive in the timeline where Jack won?

Why didn't Chase Young die in the timeline Jack came out on top? He doesn't seem to be able to drink his soup... Does he really need it to remain immortal? Did Jack force him to drink it everyday?

Did Chase really need to drink that soup everyday to keep the deal? If he had already sold his soul the first time he drank the soup, then why keep drinking it? Does he need to constantly keep drinking the Lao Mang Lone soup even if he already has no soul? What would happen if he stops drinking it? Would th deal be off? Would he get old and die? Would he not?

This opens the space to speculate that maybe the reason Chase keeps drinking the soup is because of an inability to keep himself from drinking it, and keeps craving more. The soup also must help him from not deviating his mind from the pursue of evil, and keeps him on check- We can see when good!Chase drank the soup, he immediately started attacking the children without any other reason other than for the sake of evil, when a moment ago he would have never done that.

Chase himself told Omi evil isn't something that came naturally to him, he said it's an "acquired taste". It's very possible, as @grasshopperdoingdogpaddle mentioned once in one of their posts (I would link the post but using Tumblr on mobile is already hard enough, but I may edit this to add the link later), that the Soup™ played a big role on keeping Chase on the side of evil when he was with Hannibal.

So, in the timeline where Chase is tortured, he may not have had access to his soup, but it wouldn't affect him on his ability to keep himself from ageing.

And although he may not have the soup to keep himself from distancing from the side of evil in the Jack timeline, we have to consider:

He has been drinking the evil-no-good soup for like a millennia from now, it wouldn't make sense for him to just change his ways. He is probably still very influenced by that thing.

He is trapped on the same place where Hannibal and Wuya are. Although we haven't seen them interact with eachother that time, I think it's safe to assume they do not really get along.

Chase is constantly tortured by Jack, being called a coward and tortured with cold water on his head. Prob doesn't help at all. I think he also has short hair now. Yup. No good.

And most importantly, Omi is not there. The one person Chase cares for more than anything, and is the closest he got to another being as equals in like a thousand years or so, disappeared one day without trace. The single person who avoided the contempt of the beast Chase turned into, and made the other side of him appear at times. We can even argue, considering how pleased Chase was when Omi finally came, he might not have been as evil as before, but without Omi there, he wouldn't really change his perception of things, and keep being evil.

My point is: Kids, don't drink soup.

Up to this point, I gathered a small list of XS friendships, which remind me of characters from other franchises. So far I compared:

Omi and Jack's friendship as something Tom and Jerry have going on. Sometimes I envision they switch to being like Lilo and Stitch to each other. There's also a slight resemblance in the way Omi tries to reform Jack to the way Steven Universe teaches Peridot about the wonders of Earth.

Jack and Vlad's duo as a mix of Megamind and Minion (Megamind) and Wendell and Wild.

Megan and Jack are like Dexter and Dee-Dee (but heights are reversed haha). Also in my au, they try to move towards the friendship Cedric the Sorcerer and little Sofia have. (Sofia the first). As for aesthetics, this lovely duo reminds me of Poppy and Branch (The trolls- dreamworks)

Kimiko and Raimundo give off slight Soul and Maka vibes (soul eater)

For Kimiko and Omi - I don't have the exact match but I do like the friendship between Enid and Ko (Ok ko let's be heroes) - there are some similarities so it's almost fine by me

Omi and Chase are so unique it's quite difficult to compare them to any other cartoon duo, however, the best pick would be Professor Venomous and KO (again Ok ko let's be heroes). In both shows, the adult person is very much interested in the potential of the kid and it turns out they have more in common. The trope of making the kid go to the dark side? Check. Mutual respect throughout the series? Check. Is the adult acting like a dad/is the dad for the little protagonist? CHECK. (for some reason, these parallels make me very happy)
