What do the titles "Hexe", "Ende", and "Cinema Locria" refer to?

Hexe is the beginning of Granicha, and the purpose of Granicha as a work is to undo the curse of borders and nations. I do not of course think myself so influential as to be able to undo so strong and deeply embedded of a curse as nationalism, but I'm chipping away at it with many others, doing my small part. In this opening piece, Hexe, I draw upon the human name of a river (the Severn) that was in the past used as a border but whose role as such has since faded. Not faded entirely, not culturally, but as a means of control or restricting the movement of peoples, it is no longer used that way.

Cinema Locria is a sort of imaginative piece about a tiny theatre on a small Greek island, in a village with empty streets during the day but the films and music still play.

Ende is so-called simply because it's the final track on Satellite State. Satellite State itself is the only Disparition album without much of a concept, it was just the first time I thought I had enough songs good enough to share publicly.

Discovered that I had "Granicha" by Disparition on my phone so I'm giving it a listen this morning. My favorite track used to be "Fault" but now it's "Poem for the Unspoken." Funny how taking some time away from an album can change how you relate to it. I still love the whole album, but it's just...different. But then, I'm in a really different place than I was even 3 months ago, so I'm relating to a lot of things differently. It's weird how... different everything is when you're no longer a depressed, suicidal, self-harming drug addict. There's a whole world out there, people, and I'm actually excited about seeing it.

Do you make some of your music in a lipogrammatic style and how has Perec's "La Disparition" influenced you and your work?

None of my work is lipogrammatic per se though I do sometimes use limitations and rulesets when making music, such as restricting myself to a limited pool of specific samples and instruments on a given album (1989, Granicha, Neukrk) or using very specific forms for the lyrics (on FAITE all of the lyrics use a Japanese poetic form called tanka). Perec’s novel has not really influenced me at all though I obviously appreciate the name. In my case name refers to the fact that the music is of and for disappeared worlds (from a certain linear view of time).
