Allow me to introduce KURSAT ERDOGAN   of THE OTTOMAN EMPIRE.  The THIRTY FIVE year old SOLDIER is known to be PLAYFUL and AMBITIOUS, but rumors about court claim HE can be SKEPTICAL and GREEDY when crossed. Only time will tell where their interests belong. Penned by ALEXIS ( est + 25 + she/her ).

 Hey guys ! Here’s my Cranky Kursat! 

Name: Kursat Erdogan

Age: 35

Gender: Male

Description:  6′4, very muscular build. Most likely in one of these outfits. On the right is more for important events and the left is for more casual outings, the white outfit for travel. Although it is custom for men to cover their hair, as a rebel, Kursat does not. He lived in the ottoman empire his entire life, but still feels a disconnect from the culture. His hair might be haphazardly covered in a scarf, other than that, out. If his hair is pulled back, he is up to something or prepared for a big fight.  

Weapons, if needed: Kursat always has 2 big swords with him for protection of himself and his nobleman. He conceals two knives that were passed down from his grandfather that he shows no one. He does not know what land they were made, which sparked his curiosity in his lineage. 

Personality: Kursat is very skeptical of people, he does not trust people and always felt a disconnect in his life from others. He is very greedy and corrupt and will do many things for the right price. He saw his father struggle when he was young and refused to be that way. He always thought of his father as a sellout and even though he is a soilder, he still does what he can to have his own rules. Kursat can be very playful and not take others seriously. Although he acts dumb in the presence of his nobleman, he is very smart and uses it to his advantage with others. 

Bio

The Erdogan family is a torn one. As a young child Kursat’s father was kidnapped as casualty of war and grew up as a farmer and poor. He gave up everything he knew about his old life and assimilated into the ottoman empire. After Kursat was born, his father tried to pledge his loyalty to the empire and train to become a solider.  It was a rocky start and something Kursat hated to see his father go through. Through humiliation and horrible deeds, he was finally sworn in and Kursat finally lived a decent life. Growing up Kursat would find little trinkets of his father’s old life, but his father would never tell him anything. Leaving that piece of him behind him when he was in captivity. Although what his father did was to survive, Kursat found it to be selling out and weak. He could never fully feel home within the empire, torn at the idea that where he lived was in the presence of his captors. He tried whatever he could to learn about his past and was only found with yelling and dead ends.  With no other choice, Kursat joined the force like his father, but vowed he would still have his freedom, unlike his father. Kursat soon became known as one of the best warriors in the empire and was chose to protect a nobleman of the court while on travels. Obsessed with his freedom and greed, Kursat takes jobs on the side for the right price. He isn’t too fond of his nobleman, but enjoys his notoriety and being able to travel

hello loves! so sorry i dropped off the face of the earth the past two days. my college newspaper was having election interviews and deliberations for our editorial board, and it took up all of my energy (i spent a total of 15 hours on zoom this weekend dlkdkl)

as a result, i’m a bit behind on the work that i wanted to get done this weekend, so that’ll be my priority for the rest of the night. i’m gonna aim to get to my replies done tomorrow, but they might be come staggering. thanks for being understanding y’all <3

Updates: 

Robbie is no longer the King of Italy. 

The day after the coronation of his sister he packed his things and went to the French-Italian border town Nice, belonging to the Duchy of Savoy (under the French Kingdom). 

Robbie had claimed to be a deserted, managed to create a story how he had to leave his family behind and how he wants to fight against the Norwegian conquest of the world. 

Robbie was held in prison and interviewed for a week but the people decided to let him join. While the city seemed to be a busy hub for many Italians joining the forces on the other side {French}, the people knew so very little about Roberto Vittoria III that they did not recognize him {he had spent the last 15 years in other countries and was only a king for a year before deciding to pass the crown to his sister and he had not attended many events}. 

He managed to fool everyone and proved himself useful as a nurse. He was disappointed to realise he was not a good doctor but his abilities would be enough to take care of others. 

Robbie feels like he has to atone for his decisions and mistakes and became very pious and quiet. He is careful about writing letters because he knows they will be read but he is willing to take the risk. 

He goes by the name ‘Vito’ . {so when your character meets him, that is how others might refer to him. keeping it realistic, heh}

I will post a starter call after I am done with some work-related things.
