Yunho pushed open the café door and t/n walked in after him.

“Your roommate works here?”

“Mhm. They make really good coffee. Their café drinks are really nice too.”

T/n nodded and looked around, taking in the decor as she followed him up to the counter. “Nice place.”

Y/n turned around from cleaning and smiled. “Hi Yunho! What would you guys like?”

“Hey y/n,” he smiled. “This is t/n, we work at the same agency. She was hired as a bassist but she’s going to be a producer.”

“Oh, that’s cool.” Y/n smiled.

T/n nodded. “Yep. That’s me.”

“Nice to meet you.” She turned back to Yunho. “Do you want me to get San to make your drinks?”

“Could you?”

She smiled. “Be right back.”

Y/n went to the kitchen to find San.

“The guy she went to get is my roommate.”

“Ah. You two already know each other?” T/n asked.

He nodded. “She became friends with San when she started working here a couple months ago. She just moved to the area, actually. I think she said her main job is streaming?”

T/n nodded.

“Oh-- they’re dating.”

T/n looked at him quizzically. “...Thanks?”

Yunho nodded while t/n continued to look at him like she wasn’t sure why he volunteered the information so readily.

San came out of the kitchen. “Hi guys. What can I get for you?”

Yunho gestured to t/n to place her order.

“Umm… can I get a mocha frappe?”

“Sure thing.” San put the order into the register. “Yunho?” 

“Vanilla latte?”

“Coming right up.”

Y/n came out of the kitchen with more cups for the cup stand.

“Y/n,” Yunho started loudly and then hushed his voice, “You said you stream, right?”

She laughed and quietly said: “Yeah, I do.”

“T/n was just asking what you did for work--”

“No I didn’t, you were telling me.” T/n interrupted.

“Oh-- yeah. Was it just here and gaming?”

“No, I also edit videos.”

Yunho snapped his fingers and smiled. “Ah. I knew there was another thing.”

“Did I tell you about it?”

“San told me.”

Y/n looked over to San for a moment, “You tell people about me?”

“When we first met, yeah.”

She nodded knowingly. “Yeah, I dropped most of them though. One of them kept trying to hit on me in his emails.”

“That’s gross,” t/n added.

“Yeah, tell me about it.”

“What kind of videos do you edit?” San asked as he put the lid on the first drink. “I don’t think you’ve ever told me.”

“Umm… So, beforehand I mostly edited for commentary youtubers-- I was the one who made them funny. But some of them… there was no making them funny.”

San laughed and started the next drink.

She chuckled. “Then there’s someone who does music mashups, they’re really good. They were the only client I kept, actually.”

“You only edit the videos?” Yunho asked.

“I put the music videos of the different groups they use together to match the music so like, as it goes from part to part, whichever group is in the foreground of the audio is the music video that’s on screen at that time.”

“That’s cool.” He nodded. “T/n makes music mashups, right?”

“Yeah.” She answered.

“What’s your channel name?” San asked with a smile.

“Nero Music.”

The cups all clattered to the floor as they fell out of y/n’s hands. 

San turned. “How did you drop those?”

She looked at t/n in shock.

“Y/n?” San asked.

T/n and Yunho looked back at her in confusion. 

“Ahh!” Y/n yelled as she pointed at t/n.

“What?” T/n asked, one arm coming up to try and block whatever was about to happen.

“I’m--” y/n moved closer so she could lean over the counter and yell at a whisper. “I’m Cat! I’m Jageun Geomeun Goyangi!”

T/n pulled away, her eyes wide, and screamed: “WHAT?”

“Have a nice day,” San said as he handed a customer a drink. The customer left the café, and with only a couple other people already seated with drinks, San sat down at the table that Yunho, t/n, and y/n were sitting at out of hearing of the other customers. Regardless, they talked quietly.

“So how did you not know each other’s names?” Yunho laughed.

San chuckled at the question.

“Well, it’s like… online shit, you know? I don’t know people’s real names unless we’re really close.” Y/n said.

“Personally, I let people think that the name ‘Nero’ means I’m a guy. I get way less shit that way.” 

Y/n nodded and pointed at her. “Exactly that. If I weren’t a streamer I would have gone that route.” 

“So…” San thought for a moment, “You must not be very close. If you said that you only know the real names of people you’re close with.”

“Wow, make me sound like an asshole, why don’t you?” Y/n responded, poking him in the side.

San made a strangled noise of discontent as he tried to evade the poking. He grabbed y/n’s finger and held it as she shook his hand around. 

T/n laughed quietly.

“What happened to my Sanflower?” San asked.

“I can look at you and seek revenge. They’re not mutually exclusive.”

“It’s not like you’re wrong though,” t/n offered. 

They both turned to her. 

“We don’t know each other well at all.”

“Yeah, I guess…” she tried to shake off San’s hand again. “I  feel like I was mean by accident though--” She bit at his hand and he pulled away. “You know?”

T/n looked at her queerly. “Uh… yeah.”

She nodded. 

“It wasn’t on purpose though, right?” Yunho asked.

“Oh, no!” Both reacted.

“No, no, no.” Y/n said, quietly.

“I think we only ever just talked about work stuff because like, I hired you…” T/n gestured.

“Mhm… and I was doing what you hired me to do.”

“Mhm.”

“Yeah. And honestly, I thought you might be a guy, so I didn’t want another possible situation like the guy who hit on me.”

She gestured apologetically. “Oh no, that’s totally understandable.”

The group sat in awkward silence for a few moments. San and Yunho caught each other’s eye. San raised his eyebrow and Yunho smiled.

“So…” Yunho turned back to them. “Why don’t you become friends now?”

Y/n looked from him to t/n. “...I guess we could.”

T/n nodded.

“Now that I definitely know you’re not a creepy guy.”

She chuckled. “What if I were a creepy girl?”

“Then I’d invite you to stream so you can capitalize on it.”

She laughed.

“What’d Wooyoung call it that time? A ‘monster of capitalism’?” San asked.

Y/n poked him in the side again.

“This is cool though, that you finally met, and by accident?” Yunho smiled. “It’s destiny.”

The other three members of the table looked at him with expressions that varied from confusion, to incredulity, to mild annoyance.

“Isn’t it?” He asked.

“But you knew San and he knew her,” T/n said. 

Y/n nodded. “Mhm. People know other people all the time.”

“Well I think it’s cool,” Yunho pouted.

T/n and y/n looked at each other. Y/n suppressed a smile at his reaction, causing t/n to roll her eyes.

“Fine,” she said, “It’s cool.”

He smiled at her.

San chuckled at him and shook his head.

An influx of customers through the door signaled the impending afternoon rush. San turned to look at the clock on the wall and patted y/n’s knee as he stood. 

“I’m sorry, but we have to get back to work. Lunch rush is about to start.”

Y/n stood and smiled. “It was really nice meeting you, I’ll email you and we’ll have to hang out either online or in person.”

T/n nodded. “Yeah it was nice meeting you.”

San and y/n left for the counter and Yunho and t/n both stood to leave.

“What a cute coincidence,” Yunho said as he got the door for her.

She chuckled. “First it was ‘cool’? Now it’s ‘cute’?”

“I just think it’s neat that you’ve known each other this whole time and now you’ve actually met.”

T/n looked at him for a moment, his lower lip threatening to pout again.

She nodded. “Yeah, I guess it’s neat. Now keep that lip where it belongs before I get rid of it. I need to get back to what I was doing.”
