Thursday, March 19th, 2020. So I have some answers. It’s been three weeks since I fell down the stairs in my house. ON LEAP DAY. *hold for laughter* After many appointments and X-rays and finally getting an MRI I have some answers. Nothing is broken. Just some pretty bad strains and tears. Saw a sports medicine doctor today and he said at minimum is 6-8 weeks of recovery being off the knee. Thankfully, I have a great support system at home. Thank you @coupygirl for taking care of me and @olliedadachshund for being my nurse all day long. I have to work in range of mobility, I have to lose weight, but most importantly, I have to remain positive. At the end of the day, yes, I can’t really walk and I have to wheel myself on a wheelchair named Lola, but I’m still here. My ligaments may be torn, but my sense of humor is intact! I may not have cartilage anymore, but I have lots of friends and family who support me. We may be practicing social distancing, but I’m here for you friends. Stay healthy. Wash your hands.
