𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨 !
today, I figured I'd make a list of all of my DRs/places I'm shifting to :). I do actually have quite a bit, and while most of them aren't really all that fleshed out (I'll indicate which ones I have the most info on with a key), I figured it'd still be nice to share.
plus, who knows, maybe you'll find that we have a common DR that we can bond over🤷🏽‍♀️. you guys can even ask me whatever questions you want on any of the DRs you see listed below, and I'll be happy to answer them (it gives me an excuse to run my mouth💀). Also, I listed them in alphabetical order!
───────── 《 .°•♡•°. 》 ──────────
𝐤𝐞𝐲 :
♡ - fully scripted out/main DR
° - tons of lose ideas/thoughts
* - some lose ideas/thoughts
if there's no symbol, that means I have literally nothing on it to tell lmao (but I do welcome suggestions of any kind pertaining to literally anything, idc, I just want shifters to engage plz😭🙏🏽).
───────── 《 .°•♡•°. 》 ──────────
𝐩𝐫𝐞-𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 :
- avatar (the blue ppl lol)
- blue beetle
- avatar: the last airbender
- °darby and the dead
- *descendants
- °fairy tail
- *henry danger
- *insatiable

- °super sons
- teen titans
- °the black phone (the grabber doesn't exist, nobody dies, but Max is the loveable local ‼️RECOVERING‼️ crackhead)

──────────────
𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥/"𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐮𝐩" 𝐃𝐑𝐬 :

- *runaway (with possible alien and/or power-having elements? idkidk-)
- *travel/vlogger
───────── 《 .°•♡•°. 》 ──────────
𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐩...
those are all my desired realities that I wanna shift to lmao😭. I know, it's quite a bit, but you've gotta understand, I was/am the type of person who - has not only constantly wanting a way out/knew there had to be more than, yk...THIS (if that makes sense) - but has always, always, always wanted to be apart of so many of the cool dynamics and whatnot I've seen in all of my fave medias. like, I'd give anything to live any one of these lives at least once, so ofc I have a lot😭✨️.
but anyways, yeah, like I said, feel free to just engage however you want, I truly just felt like showing them off and will definitely be expanding more on each one later in separate posts :)!

Most Marvel post-credit scenes hint at the future. Loki opted for a blunter approach: the God of Mischief would return in season 2.
Based on the final turn of events, there was really no other choice: Loki (Tom Hiddleston), having journeyed to the furthest point in spacetime with his variant Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) to meet the founder of the TVA, a scientist-turned-survivor-of-multiversal-war known as He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors), finds himself zapped into a new reality when his lady self slays the omnipresent being. The mind reels!
Creator Michael Waldron takes delight in the endless possibilities of Loki’s core premise. And as a veteran of Rick and Morty, he knows what anchors a mind-bending show, and what will keep Hiddleston’s character hurtling through his chaotic, rewritten future. Below, Polygon talks to Waldron about landing on the key choices of Loki season 1, what to expect from season 2, and a bit on his next project, the wrestling drama Heels, which is set to premiere on Aug. 15.
Did you know there’d be a second season of Loki from the beginning or was that choice made later in the process?
Michael Waldron: We always knew that it was a possibility. We always knew that we wanted to propel Loki and these characters out into the MCU after this, into further stories. But that didn’t really crystallize as a sure thing until we were in production and everything. And as we were really figuring out the finale.
So you were still cracking the ending as you shot the show?
There was a hiatus due to the pandemic. So things were constantly being retooled because of that. I think, by and large, everything with He Who Remains and the Sylvie-Loki conflict was always there. But that cliffhanger was the sort of thing that suddenly became a really appealing opportunity, a chance for that to lead into a second season.
What element of the series helped you crack the macro story of Loki, and made all the other pieces fall into place? Each episode almost feels like a standalone adventure, similar to Rick and Morty, but what helped it all click?
The first couple of weeks in the writers room was just laying out the individual episodes. It was very important to me that each episode stood on its own, and you could say “This is the Lamentis episode,” “This is the apocalypse moon episode,” “This is the Void episode.” I didn’t want it to just be cut up chapters and have one long continuous story. Obviously, we had to figure out the time travel for things to slot into place. I think a big idea for us was the way you get around the TVA by hiding in apocalypses. That felt like such a big, cool, exciting idea that it drove the action of episode 2, episode 3, and in a way it’s like Alioth is the ultimate apocalypse that He Who Remains is hiding behind. That sci-fi idea cracked a lot open for us. I know that after we had that I went home and I slept a little sounder.
Did adding the multiverse to the Marvel Cinematic Universe feel like blowing something up or expanding it, in terms of narrative possibilities?
In the same way that after the first couple Iron Man movies, and with the first Avengers, suddenly these movies were kind of going to space. Then we had Guardians. I think of the multiverse as another version of that. It’s new ground to cover, and particularly interesting because characters meeting other versions of themselves and other versions of people they know is... cool. That’s just a cool sci-fi concept! But I think with anything, as you expand outward, it only works if the humanity remains. It’s exciting to watch characters dealing with big crazy multiversal conflicts because we can see ourselves in them. I think you just have to hold on to the humanity that makes these stories work in the first place.
Did you go back to the Thor movies for Loki? Was there anything to find in the past of Marvel as you were paving the future?
Absolutely. I mean I watched them many times, contrary to what Twitter might think because I did some bits on there saying that I’ve never seen Avengers and I upset some people [laughs]. I have seen it many times. “Confirmed: Loki writer has seen Avengers and saw it before writing Loki show.”
In fact, I was watching all these movies on a loop in the writers’ room. I gleaned so much because you watch the evolution of the character. Avengers was particularly informative because our story picks up Loki right after that, but I also I found a lot of inspiration in Thor: The Dark World, a maybe sometimes maligned movie that I actually really enjoy. I just think there’s great stuff with Loki being tangentially responsible for the death of his mother, how he reacts to that. That is the start of his journey of that version of Loki’s redemption, so I was inspired by that.
What’s propelling the characters into season 2? Where are you headed in basic terms?
In season 1, you saw a lot of characters reckoning with and questioning their own glorious purpose, and that glorious purpose changing, [characters] realizing that that can change. Everybody except for Sylvie. I think she holds onto hers, which is vengeance, and to the detriment of us all, perhaps. And we’ve got a Loki who, at the top of our show, assessed himself as a villain and, I would argue, at the end of our show, has become a little bit of a hero. There’s nothing more heroic to me than fighting for the right thing and losing. You see that washing over him as he’s there back at the TVA, after Sylvie has knocked back there. And then he gets up because that is what heroes do — they keep going. So I think that you’re gonna see a Loki that looks at himself in a different way certainly that at the top of this.
Do you hope to explore more of Sylvie’s backstory in season 2?
I guess we’ll see. We certainly have our own rich backstory for her, stuff that didn’t get to make it into the show. Elissa Karasik, our episode 2 writer, wrote a lot of amazing backstory for Sylvia and everything. So those ideas exist out there.
And her version of Thor?
Tune in.
How did He Who Remains come about? Did you bring the character to Marvel or was that a character Marvel hoped to introduce?
I was pushing and our team was pushing early on in the writers’ room that it should be a version of Kang up in that Citadel, sort of fusing the mythology of He Who Remains with a little bit of the Immortus mythology. And that was a thing we were excited to do. And it became clear that it actually made sense for our story. The only way we were going to do it was if it made sense, but it was like, who had a better argument for creating the TVA to prevent other versions of themselves from existing then a guy as evil as Kang the Conqueror?
You wrote the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness — did Marvel hire you for that after Loki? Does the movie feel like a continuation of the show?
Yeah, that opportunity came as we were getting ready to start production on Loki. It was a pleasure. I got to work with Sam Raimi, a hero of mine. I was in London for five months making that movie at the top of this year. We had a blast. I think that it’s a continuation in as much as ever every Marvel movie is to some extent a chapter in an ongoing story, but these things are meant to stand alone and the most important thing about Doctor Strange too is making the most kick ass Doctor Strange movie we could.
Is Loki a two-part show now or are you invested in telling a longer story with future seasons beyond season 2?
Time will tell, but I do my hope is that season 1 stands on its own. We always wanted to tell a complete story there. And in whatever the next chapter may be will stand on its own as well.
Your next show, Heels, is already on the way. We got a big preview out of Comic-Con this year, but I’m curious about the scope of this story. You’re starting with two brothers running an independent wrestling franchise, but you’ve dropped the name “Vince McMahon” a few times — is this about the building of an empire? Would you liken it to The Godfather or Breaking Bad?
I always thought about it a little bit of a Scorsese-sort-of rise, and we’ll see if there’s a fall. Starting from humble beginnings and trying to build some crazy. Wrestling was certainly not always the empire that it is and that’s what’s interesting, to watch the evolution of a family-run wrestling business from something you do in your small towns and perhaps a national, even global empire. That would be a really compelling arc for a show over the course of several seasons. I’d be excited to explore that.
What’s the most dramatically fulfilling wrestling moment you’ve witnessed? What’s the bar for the wrestling drama of Heels?
It’s gotta be Hulk Hogan turning heel in the WCW. There was an invasion storyline, these guys from WWF, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, came over and they were the bad guys. It was at a Pay-per-view and and they were beating up on the good guys that you love, and here comes Hulk Hogan in the yellow and red and he’s the hero. “The Hulk’s gonna get ‘em! The good guy’s here!” And then the Hulk just leg drops Randy Savage. That was the original Red Wedding. I just think about the boldness of turning him heel. To a little kid... I wasn’t even like a massive Hulk fan, but he was just such a mythological figure. What a chance that Hulk Hogan took as a performer, as a bankable kind of movie star at that point. That was bold, risky storytelling and it set off two years of amazing storytelling with Hogan just playing a craven, cowardly heel and just being so evil. I really respect the hell out of them for doing that. That was a great storyline.

The BXG Starter Pack / Life of a BXG 🤍
Tumblr media
This is an expanded and updated version of a post I made before about things I have to live with as a BXG. it’s based on my experience and what I see, so what I write here may not be identical to yours. some of these may be applied to c-ent fandom in general.
• Using Apps and sites you don’t fully understand -
Tumblr media
Whether it’s Weibo or streaming sites like Tencent or Youku, it is where firsthand information comes from. Weibo to check the supertopic and the boys’ accounts daily. Even if you don’t get it all, give it time and you will find blogs that you wanna follow. Fan sites that you watch out for. Even with the language barrier, as long as it’s about GG/ Web, it doesn’t really matter. You get an understanding of what’s on it one way or another. Google translate is there, tho not always reliable. As time passes by, you will get the sense of what accounts to look at for unbiased translations.
I’ve been using Wb for quite some time and tho there is alot of information, you have to careful in what you take out and bring to international platforms. Even if alot of people are posting/sharing it, it doesn’t mean you have to.
• Spotting a BXG from a mile away with what they eat and wear -
Tumblr media
Being that person with the white nike bag and GG’s red bracelet. Wearing the signature gray/orange cardigan or the blue/white striped shirt. VLONE hoodie. Or drinking the Love drink. Eating 3+2 crackers and wonton. Using a black portable fan similar to what they used that summer. A cute Boxiao Keychain attached to your bag. All the little things will cue you on what fandom the person is from.
Even trying things you know they like. Coriander. Trying spicy hotpot even if you can’t tolerate anything spicy. Getting that green tea brewed and ready for you. lol. Becoming a fan of their favorites singers like Stefanie Sun and Li Ronghai. Just absorbing it all. You are what you love so it’s natural to check out the things they love.
• enjoying the creative content by the fandom -
Tumblr media
the amount of content generated by this fandom, from c-fans and international alike is astounding. you will never be bored. If the boys are quiet and it’s a slow day, you can always look at this. From FANART/ FANVID to FANFICTION. There is a lot. Some artists even have their own following. You have characters like Bobi and Zanbi becoming our favorites and gaining some popularity of their own. The fictional child Suo. All the BoXiao Cinematic Universe pairings. lol. ChenWei or Xie yun x All characters by GG. the possibilities are endless!
If you look at fan merch for BoXiao — you will cry. Everything is beautiful and you know it’s made with love by BXGs. It’s one of my absolute favorite things as a BXG, is to look at the art and buy if I can. 🤍
• normal things having a different meaning to you -
I mean this in a way that red and green does not equal to Christmas to you anymore. It’s now LGLR. It’s now a representation of GG/Web’s favorite colors. A pig? Oh that’s Bobo! A lion? A panther? That’s him too. How about a rabbit? That’s GG. Do you see the time? Let me interpret that into a Kadian that totally favors my CPN. Is it summer and the heat is sweltering? Oh. This must be what the summer of 2018 felt like for them.
• melting from all the cuteness -
Tumblr media
I’ve always liked cute things but this fandom just brings out so much cute art? And can we talk about the dolls? 🥲 I am especially fond of photos where they take the dolls to events. idk. Maybe it’s just me and I know this stuff is not for everyone but i think we can all agree that these gives you good vibes. 🤍 i know some of you prefer to collect standees and those are amazing too.
• enriching your “attention to detail” skills -
Tumblr media
The people in this fandom can be detectives with the things they pick up in photos and videos. Tho sometimes it can be overanalysis, I gotta hand it to them for going that far. for researching. The amount of galaxy brain. There are things you also immediately pick up because of the past candies you consumed. The jewelry. The clothes. What they say. The people around them. There are times you don’t even have to that much and it will click.
Accounts here and other ones that do analysis/candy posts can literally eat up your day. I remember lurking here very early on and losing alot of time checking bxg sites. 😂
• multi tasking like a pro -
This is happening more and more for the past months. Mid 2020 to now cause they have alot of projects going on. The hardest? When they have appearances in the same day — in different stations. Hello NYE show! Or even if they are in the same event, you have to keep up with the two of them.
There is never a dull moment cause sometimes one of them is quiet and one just dumps all content on us. It’s a common misconception from outsiders that all we care about is CPN and sexualizing GG/Web. lol. It’s not. You are basically stanning two separate people. Two of the hottest stars in CHN who have alot going on in their career. We do what so/os do basically, in terms of supporting them. Watching their shows. Posting and talking about what’s new with them and so on.
• having so much content you have to save alot -
all the photos. all the videos. all the content. There is just so many. How will your phone memory survive? lol. Do you all keep folders neatly organized or you just keep them all in one place? I personally keep a list of links and oftentimes save things that I feel like will be deleted at some point.
• knowing what you can post or not -
It’s something I have learned specifically with this fandom. It is a tough learning process and sometimes you are just so excited to share but you have to check first. If you find someone posting a possibly harmful information, you can tell them in a nice way. We are not some reporting cult out to get people. A simple message is enough.
I wanna add here having some background politically in what’s going on in CHN. Or what is the reason why some things are the way they are in C-ent fandoms. It’s not required ofcourse. But it’s very helpful. I started not caring at all but I find that it helps you in anticipating what will happen or why things happen.
• learning to be smart about things you read and what other people tell you -
This is not limited to fandom but life in general. I’ve talked about this in detail before but it bears repeating. It is hard to distinguish what is true and not in this space. You have the language barrier and antis to make things hard for you and it’s really tricky if you’re new. So ask, ask people in this space. You don’t have to believe us 100% but it’s never a good thing to just look at one source and run with it. Especially shady youtube and instagram accounts who also post drama leaks and videos of them leaving and entering their hotels. EVEN IF IT’S CPN CONTENT. You have to be careful.
• living a life outside of the fandom and taking a step back -
Tumblr media
Once in awhile this has to be done. Enjoy other things. You are allowed to have other fandoms and stuff that bring you joy outside of GG/Web. There is really no checklist of how to be a true fan. No one is in the position to tell you that you are not good enough as a fan. If you don’t like a particular piece they are doing because you are not comfortable with it’s theme — go ahead. You don’t like the song because the message is against your values — sure, don’t listen to it. These two always promote not being too caught up in your online life that you forget the real one. And it’s something I’ve always appreciated about them.
This also ties in with having to pick your battles and letting things go. You don’t have to engage in each and every person who is obviously just trying to get a reaction out of you. Block accounts who blatantly insult you. We are BXGs, if they don’t like the content— well, it’s not for them. We are not making it for them.
• meeting lots of cool people -
I won’t name people on here incase i miss someone but i genuinely interacted with cool people on here. It’s very easy to reach out to fellow bxg just to chat or if you have a question. It’s a good time! Or even if you don’t end up interacting cause that’s not your thing and you just want to lurk— that’s cool too.
I like looking at posts of people randomly seeing a bxg IRL and getting along because of shared interest. I have yet to meet one in real life.
• attending fandom events -
Tumblr media
This may not be your thing but I’m interested in events that fans organize. Especially c-fans. The amount of offline support they do for the boys look like so much fun but tbh i will not thrive in social situations so I will just observe from a distance. Seeing them attend events together and support the boys. The art exhibits. Meet ups. Literal BXG events to showcase fan merch and everything. It’s a whole world of it’s own.
C-BXGs just coming together for a good time and even charity work is really one that i love to post about and bring to my space.
• adding China to your must visit place -
Tumblr media
Before CQL and BoXiao, I didn’t even have China on my must visit place. Tho I love Taiwan and visited HK quite a few times for Disneyland, I didn’t actively add it on my list. Great wall of China? Sure. That would be cool, but I had other places in Asia I wanna visit or just go back to. BUT NOW. Oh now. I really wanna go to Chongqing and Luoyang. Go to Beijing. Go to Shanghai. Changsha. Visit and have a tour of Hengdian studios!😅
• buying endorsements - This is optional. I always say to support them if you can. Not everyone is a rich jiejie who can buy 850 copies of their magazine. Plus some live far away and costs to ship are so high. But it’s not a secret that a fan’s spending power matters in C-ent. and this is something that some of us have adapted. If it’s one you like and you can use, why not right?
The struggle of getting things before they sellout. Of hoping your packages don’t get lost and you won’t have to wait so long. Discovering new things to enjoy because they endorsed it. Consuming alot of yogurt. lol. 🙃
======
There is alot of going on in the life of a BXG, so we don’t have time to actively look at the negative and pick fights. It’s the good life we got going on. 🌈 I hope whoever is reading this will continue to have fun in this fandom. 🤍

None Of This Makes Sense - The Tenuous Reality Of The Markiplier Cinematic Universe (and maybe whats in the box)(big spoilers)
So i tried to make this post last night and then tumblr made a fucky-wucky all over itself and my post was lost as sacrifice to the hellsite. So I’m writing it again and saving it this time. This is gonna get really long, but I think I’m onto something here. @markiplier you aint gotta say shit but i hope you see this.
So I was watching the Wilford MOTHERLOVING Warfstache Full Breakdown last night, and Mark started saying some things about the Markiplier Cinematic Universe(MCU) that got the gears turning in my brain. He laid down some “rules” of this universe that I think are SO important to understanding Heist and the Box.
“The Viewer, in this universe... is a character. That’s something that cannot be... forgotten in anything that I do for these.”
The Viewer isn’t just a viewer, they’re a CHARACTER. These are distinctly different concepts. A viewer typically exists OUTSIDE the world of the medium. A CHARACTER, however, exists squarely within the medium, and I don’t think Mark means this like Oh Its First Person And You Make Choices And They Talk To You I think this expands to mean that the WAY we experience the videos is the way the other characters are experiencing what happens. Look at the Scientist video:
“Haven’t you two noticed time being funny lately?”
“You haven’t noticed things going unnaturally fast? Things happening out of order for one another? Strange coincidences? Bizarre memories of things you haven’t even done yet?”
Everything she mentions, we the viewer didn’t notice on our own because, to us, that’s just the way videos are. There’s time skips, edits, we have the ability to hop between videos. Without all this, videos would be unwatchable. The main thing here is that these qualities are not only experienced by us, but by all characters. We also see this in Wilford MOTHERLOVING Warfstache when the tazer transitions happen. Wilford notices a transition happened, but is so used to these weird events that he rolls with it. Noticing the edits and the confines of the story is what leads Abe to crack.
“[In SOMA] the main character thought he was human, in his mind. Reality SHAPED itself to be that thought, but on closer observation it turns out he was a machine when he looked in that mirror... What’s the truth and what’s the lie? That concept is very interesting to me.”
“Reality is not gelling, but his brain is making up why it makes sense.”
Mark likes the idea of characters battling with their perception of reality, and what reality IS. Mark says, in his explaination videos again and again, if it doesn’t happen on screen then it didn’t happen. I don’t think he’s just talking about death of the author here. I think, in his videos, this is the reality. I think this is very literal for the MCU. There is no appearence of the Detective between WKM and WMLW, and so there are no events that ACTUALLY happened.
“Its as if he was told what he needed to know, but not what it was that he knew. He knows the concept of what he needed to do, but if pressed for the details of it, it all falls apart.”
So why does this matter for Heist? Well, all of the MCU are strictly confined to whats on the screen. The expanse of the story is what is directly in front of us. We go bed in the back of the Jeep, and seconds later we wake up to Mark in an apron making us a camp breakfast. We ASSUME things happened in between, our brains roll with it and chuckle at the joke but we don’t question where any of this came from because its the nature of the medium. In the universe of the videos, though, NOTHING happened between those edits. We are told what must’ve happened, but the reality of it is there was NO time in between.
I think this starts to tell us what’s REALLY in the box, and I’ll go even further to posit that we’re told/shown whats in the box in 3 endings. Ending 6, Ending 16, and Ending 31.
In Ending 6, the Scientist identifies the box as the source of all the “anomalies” which are really just edits and the nature of the medium. Upon destroying it, we are shown, briefly, the entire map of A Heist With Markiplier, before showing up before the heist begins. Mark has no idea why we’re here, and instead of continuing into the heist again like in other time travel endings, he prompts us to go into A Date With Markiplier. Credits Roll. The Box was destroyed and the story never happens.
In Ending 16, we meet Wilford, the man himself, and he starts asking us how our adventure has been, across all the videos and endings. Wil is FULLY aware of the medium at this point, and how you play into it. He then says
“And if you need more time to think of your answer, feel free to pause time. I think your magic box is useful for something like that.”
and then the Youtube video pauses. This is more than a fun jape of “oh haha this is on a computer on the internet” cuz I don’t think Wil is referring in such knowledgeable terms about our computer/phone/tablet. I think he’s specifically referring to The Box. The Box gives us control, The Box lets us hit pause, and rewatch things, and watch multiple endings.
And finally Ending 31. Darkiplier meets us and talks to us. He acknowledges that its likely we’ve seen his monologue more times than he could know about, that Mark likes to spin stories for us. He thinks we’re trapped in the stories just like he is, so he gives us a code that leads us to the bloopers and behind the scenes. He pulls back the curtain for us, as if saying “look, this is all fake”
The Box contains A Heist With Markiplier. The Box IS the Story. THATS why it contains whatever the story needs it to. THATS why destroying it makes the heist never happen. THATS why it “gives” us control and messes with time; because it is literally all the videos, all the events that happen after stealing the box.
This is absolutely the kind of abstract concept nonsense Mark would pull, and I’m feeling confident about this. If you read all of this, please share your thoughts, i wanna flesh this out as much as possible. I feel this in my brain, but explaining it is like trying to explain the color yellow; I feel ill equipped.

hey!! i was wondering if you have any good horror movie recs? like your faves?
oh im SO excited to answer this ask. yes but it will be long so i'll put it under the cut. i know im gonna say a lot of unnecessary shit so i'll bold the actual titles of the movies so you can skim it
first things first if you've seen my blog in the last several weeks you know i went fully apeshit over the saw movies. my favorite out of the nine saw movies is the first but i cant actually explain why its my favorite without spoilers and, if you've somehow made it on my blog so far without getting saw-spoiled, its actually really worth it to go in fresh so unfortunately i'll have to skip it. that said if you like things where a bunch of pieces fall into place at the last second and also like watching fucked up things happen (not so much in the first one honestly but in the later movies the traps get fucked up to look at) then saw is the series for you.
i promise this entire answer wont be about saw but just as an aside, sometimes when people are trying to decide if they want to watch stuff that could be reasonably called torture porn, for some reason they ask themselves if they can handle it instead of asking if they want to watch it, and personally i dont think horror is something you should struggle through. you should enjoy it! and since traps, like, are the franchise, if you dont think you'd enjoy watching the traps i gotta recommend you dont watch it
okay now that we're over saw. rapid fire heres my other favorite horror movies: scream (1996, one of the first slashers i ever saw), halloween (2018, this is the BEST halloween sequel to date but you should watch the original first for it to hit properly), the thing (1982, kurt russell is so fun in this movie and i love people isolated in the cold), the shining (more in my people isolated in the cold cinematic universe), ready or not (2019, hide and seek but deadly, SUPER fun)
normally when i get asked this question i also get some variation of "what are some good horror movies if im new to horror?" so i'll go ahead and answer that one too: if you want to get into horror but are scared of being scared, honestly i recommend the classic slashers (think like halloween, friday the 13th, etc), children's horror/pg-13 horror (coraline, happy death day), horror comedies (happy death day, scream, jennifers body), or thrillers in general (red dragon (which is my personal hannibal movie preference over silence), gone girl). i have reasons for all of this but i recognize that im typing an essay here so shoot me another ask if you want me to expand on my reasoning ever
if you already like horror you've probably already seen most or all of these but unfortunately i cant think of anything more esoteric because it is so, so warm in my house rn. you could check out the faculty of horror podcast where their literal entire thing is talking about horror movies. okay before i hit post let me say a handful of final movie suggestions
american psycho (2000), parasite (2019), the blair witch project (1999), train to busan (2016), black christmas (1974), get out (2017), frankenstein (1931), my bloody valentine (1981), misery (1990), the invisible man (2020), raw (2016)
ive also heard pretty intense things about henry: portrait of a serial killer but ive not actually seen it yet
okay if you made it to the end of this im kissing you on the mouth for reading all that i love you

Marvel’s What If…? Episode 1 Review: Peggy Carter Changes MCU History
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This review contains spoilers for What If…? episode 1.
What If…? is the latest Marvel Studios small screen project to arrive on Disney+ after much fanfare. The animated anthology show, created by Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia writer A.C. Bradley and Marvel storyboard vet Bryan Andrews, aims to explore alternate timelines in the MCU multiverse. In order to fully grasp the basic premise of What If…? as a whole it helps to have watched Marvel’s Loki, which recently introduced the multiverse to the MCU.
What If…? episode 1, “What If… Captain Carter Were The First Avenger?,” focuses on a (mainly) WWII-era version of Peggy Carter who made a key alternate choice that affected the creation of Captain America in a major way.
It’s a fun episode! Your mileage may vary depending on how much you love Peggy Carter, but since I love her a whole lot I had a good time watching this. The main downside, I suspect, to any of these installments, is that they’re inherently redundant. As far as we know, none of the fantastical concepts here will bleed into the live-action MCU. But if you’re here for a good time and not a long time, What If…? should make for a neat weekly diversion.
Our What If…? reviews are going to adopt a different format. More of a “breakdown” that we hope will still satisfy regular readers but also help younger viewers and those less familiar with the MCU keep up.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at “What If… Captain Carter Were The First Avenger?”
Required viewing
In terms of understanding the central characters and how things changed inside the branch timeline featured in this first episode, we would recommend revisiting Captain America: The First Avenger, Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter, and the opening act of The Avengers. If you’re on a full Peggy Carter binge, why not add both seasons of ABC’s live-action Agent Carter series to your watchlist, too?
What’s different?
This episode explored what would have happened if Steve Rogers was unable to take the super soldier serum during World War II and Peggy Carter volunteered to become Dr. Abraham Erskine’s lab rat instead.
Peggy’s “what if…?” was deciding to stand her ground and stay in the room while the serum was administered during the iconic transformation sequence featured in Captain America: The First Avenger. She then had a chance to intervene in the Hydra bombing, but Steve got caught up in the action and was subsequently shot.
With time running out to perform the super soldier process, Peggy jumped into the machine and went on to become Captain Carter, having all the physical powers of Captain America along with a different costume and an altered shield with a Union Jack at its center.
Steve was badly injured and had to undergo intense physiotherapy while Peggy trained to be the best she could be. Their relationship blossomed and, thanks to Howard Stark, Steve took on the role of her sidekick in a Tesseract-powered Hydra Stomper – basically an early version of the Iron Man suit. Meanwhile, Peggy faced interference from Colonel John Flynn, who was regularly on hand to pour out a stream of misogyny regarding her place in the fight.
In a familiar First Avenger train sequence, Peggy went on an altered mission with Steve, Bucky Barnes and the Howling Commandos to take out the Red Skull, however it was Steve who ended up falling from the train in this timeline and not Bucky, so it stands to reason that Bucky wouldn’t then go on to become the Winter Soldier.
Other more minor changes include Peggy probably not making out with her own niece during any Civil War shenanigans in the future – and please do not direct me to any fan art depicting that scenario in the comments, I beg you.
In the end, the Red Skull used the Tesseract to summon a tentacled “champion of Hydra” and Peggy had to sacrifice herself to push it back back into the space portal from whence it came. She emerged from the portal pre-The Avengers’ Battle of New York.
Who are the voices?
Jeffrey Wright plays the show’s narrator, Uatu The Watcher, and he’ll be here for every episode.
Returning to voice their characters from Captain America: The First Avenger were Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, Neal McDonough as Dum Dum Dugan, Toby Jones as Arnim Zola, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, and Stanley Tucci as Dr. Abraham Erskine. Other MCU actors joining in were Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Ross Marquand as the Red Skull, reprising his role from Avengers: Infinity War/Endgame.
Bradley Whitford may seem like a new addition as the arrogant Colonel John Flynn, but he previously portrayed the character in the live-action Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter released back in 2013, so even in the Sacred Timeline Flynn continued to be a thorn in Peggy’s side for quite a while.
The elephant in the room here is Steve Rogers. Chris Evans did not add his voice to the What If…? mix, so it was up to Marvel animation alum Josh Keaton to stand in for Evans, and he honestly did a really good job of it all things considered.
Standout moments
I gotta say it was truly wild for me to witness Captain Carter have adventures onscreen at all! It was obviously great to see Peggy kicking ass with her enhanced strength – the serum only beefed up her already brave and competent nature – but this version of the character has something of a unique origin, having been concocted as a kind of throwaway addition to the match-3 game Marvel Puzzle Quest in 2016. A couple of years later, Saladin Ahmed added her to the pages of Marvel Comics in Exiles #3, and it clearly didn’t take Marvel Studios long to figure out how to apply the enthusiastic Captain Carter fan response to an MCU project.
Peggy riding Steve’s Iron Man-esque Hydra Stomper into a dogfight during the WWII montage sequence was a delight, frankly. The animation in most of the fighting sequences was terrific and really took golden opportunities to reach for the kind of punching, kicking, shield-throwing ballet that the live-action format could never quite achieve with its restrictions of reality.
I found myself slowly warming to What If…?’s animation style, which I probably still wouldn’t describe as my favorite if I’m honest. I love the What If? comics, and this series felt like an opportunity to really push the weirdness envelope a little more. You only have to look at what Netflix accomplished with its anthology series Love, Death & Robots to see how differently a What If? series that embraced other styles and voices could have gone, but I grew up on Saturday morning cartoons, stop motion, Fantastic Planet, and Heavy Metal, so forgive me for briefly imagining the possibilities of this project in a wilder sense.
One of the oddest standout moments for me was when the episode subverted my expectations somewhat. After Steve was seemingly killed during the train heist, I thought the creators of the show were all set to explore him becoming the Winter Soldier, and I have to admit the idea intrigued me a little! However, it didn’t go down like that, and I was left to mentally wander down a different “what if…?” rabbit hole alone.
How does it work out?
In the future, Nick Fury used the Tesseract to transport Peggy back from wherever she ended up after she entered the portal, and it looks like she joined the Infinity Saga-era Avengers Initiative in Steve’s place. Whether it all worked out well for this episode’s specific MCU timeline remains to be seen, but it would be really fun to see if Agent Coulson had a pack of Captain Carter trading cards!
More to come
Episode 1 played like a pilot for an ongoing Captain Carter series for good reason: What If…? has been confirmed to include at least one Peggy Carter installment in every season going forwards.
“A lot of the season one episodes are riffing off certain points in the cinematic universe and maybe even delving in a certain phase, but we need to expand and explore more things, so we had to come up with other ideas that were a little further down the timeline,” director Bryan Andrews told us, later adding “Peggy Carter is pretty awesome; Captain Carter is pretty awesome, we’d love to see more of her.”
Marvel’s What If…? is now streaming weekly on Disney+ every Wednesday.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });

Lasabrjotr Chapter 37: Homeward
Chapters: 37/? Fandom: Thor (Movies), Marvel Cinematic Universe Rating: Teen And Up Warnings: None Relationships: Loki x Reader (Someday) Characters: Loki (Marvel), Reader, Thor, Heimdall, Peter Parker, Tony Stark Natasha Romanoff Additional Tags: Post-Endgame: Best Possible Ending (Canon-Divergent), Let’s Hope This Avengers Party Turns Out Better Than The Last, Loki Thinks About Some Things, No Man Is An Island, It’s Good To Be Home Summary:  On your way home, Loki faces some introspection. The camps begin to mingle, and Thor plans a party.
“So,” Thor concluded. “Three weeks from now? This is good for everyone?”
“Sounds great!” Peter gushed. “Can't wait to visit Asgard!”
“Seems like we can all be free then.” Natasha stated.
“As long as nothing comes up.” Tony added.
“Still confiscating Chitauri artifacts?” Thor asked.
“We were 'lucky' enough this time that almost all the Chitauri were confined to Wakanda. T'challa's been confiscating the hell out of all Chitauri objects, everything. Still, there was a lot, and of course some of it got out. We've just been picking up the pieces as we go.” Tony sighed. “Probably ought to let you know though, one shipment has gone entirely missing. When we questioned the transporters, they had no memory of it even existing. I don't need to tell you that's shady as hell.”
“We are rather isolated out here.” Thor said. “But we will be vigilant.”
“You'd better. You already know there's people crazy enough to take you on, who might be all too happy to get their hands on Chitauri tech. And with the media frenzy your brother and Rapunzel have been causing, it's got people real whipped up.”
“In my brother's defense...” Thor started, drawing groans from nearly everybody on the call. “Neither he nor _____ intended for that to happen, and both were reasonably upset. They were simply existing in the world. Each of you know full well by now, there is no avoiding the takers of pictures. Especially you Stark. Surely you have not forgotten the Whiskey Incident?”
“I have. If everybody else remembers, that's their problem.”
“Precisely.” Thor pointed out.
“Yeah, well, don't fake surprise when the journalists start hounding you. I love to say I told you so.”
“I know.”
“But...are they dating?” Peter asked. “I mean, they're so cute.”
More groans, and then almost everyone on the call started talking at once, mostly about how that would be a terrible idea.
“Friends, please!” Thor's voice boomed out over everyone else. “I would say this is not our business, but I believe you would disagree. What I can tell you for certain, is that they are friends, and, stars know, he could use more of those. Perhaps if he had had such support structures long ago, things would be different...” He shook his head. “But he has one more now, and she is good for him, and she is becoming healthier and stronger daily. You must continue to look at him from the point of view of Avengers, and there's value in that. I must look at him from the point of view of a brother and a king. And I'm happy for him. I have that hope again.”
The arguing calmed into a dull chorus of sullen acceptance, and Peter apologizing for setting everything off.
“Look, you will be able to see for yourselves when you get here.” Thor said. “We will gather in three weeks time, and you can each make your own observations on how well things are going.”
Thor left the computer room an hour or so later, after a long conversation about Asgard's integration into the rest of the world, eager to take a meal alone in his rooms and take care of some of his paperwork in solitude. You and Loki ought to be back sometime today. He would like to consult with Loki about the upcoming party; his brothers natural aptitude for extravagance was very valuable in plannings celebrations.
One of the numerous aides approached with more paperwork, which he skimmed a little too swiftly in his haste to eat. It seemed to be that troublesome Alarr again, needing something from Loki. He handed the report back to the aide.
“I believe this one is actually for my brother.” He said. That was one issue with having more than one ruler in place; sometimes paperwork got mixed up.
He closed his doors behind him, relieved to see the meal that had been left for him. The upcoming weeks were sure to be busy with the planning and setup of several celebrations. The reunion, the setting of the sun, Buridag. If there was a good reason to be busy, that was it.
                                                                                                                                                                *****
Four members of the anti-Loki, pro-you camp had approached and spoken with Sophie and Frodi, each separately. They wanted to know why the faithful were here, why they were faithful. None of them had known that there were people still out there who actually worshiped the old gods, and one of them expressed quite a bit of interest in learning more, and in return for stories told them that the main goal of the protest camp was to secure your freedom and safe return to your home. None of them knew what the other, more unfriendly protest camp planned on doing. They had apparently taken a 'with us or against us' approach, and remained aloof.
One by one, they went back to their camp, bearing Sofie's promise that anyone was welcome at her fire. Then Frodi set out on the several hour walk around the city limits, to bring what little they had learned to Heimdall. The shining god actually thanked him sincerely, and though Frodi prided himself on his cool head, he was still appropriately awestruck by being in Heimdall's holy presence once again.
If Valhalla was not an option, Frodi wondered on his way back to the camp, perhaps living in the city, among the gods, would be a paradise that was more within reach.
There were a few new tents going up on the outskirts of the camp when he returned. There were newcomers several times a week now. Some stayed, many left. Some were only there as a sort of pilgrimage, others grew impatient with the lack of godly appearances, and some simply were not able to handle the rough living of perpetual camping in the extremes of Iceland. Everyone had their reasons.
Frodi greeted the newcomers, a pair of Americans, and offered to help them set up, which they gladly accepted.
“Gotta get these up before sunset.” One said.
“Well, I have some good news for you then.” Frodi said with a smile.
                                                                          *****
“Your mom was an Alfar?” You exclaimed. “You're part Alfar?”
“No, no.” Loki scoffed inside. If only! If only he could be Alfar, if he could not be Asgardian. Or Vanir, or even hideous but respectable Dvergar! Even Human would be better... “No, mother was Asgardian, born among the colonists of the fifth moon, but raised communally by the council who oversaw the colony, all of whom were Alfar witches. Among the Alfar, children are all raised by everyone, but mother had a special gift of foresight, and so, was raised by a special group.”
“So Alfar are all magical, but some have special magic, even for them?” You asked.
“Yes, that's a very astute guess. Alfar with special magical sight or intuition are known as witches, and are held in very high esteem. They take in and raise all who show signs of special sight.”
You narrowed your eyes as a thought struck you. “Hey, wait a minute...”
Loki smiled. Sometimes you connected the dots very swiftly. “In case you are wondering what I think you are, yes, that is why Heimdall is said to have had nine mothers, and yes, he too was born on Alfheim.”
“So he can't reach his family anymore either.”
“We will get the Bifrost back to it's former power.” Loki stated with confidence. “The urgency is not so great, when you have centuries to work with. Do not worry so much for Heimdall; he can communicate with this family through his special sight.”
The countryside passed by as time and the horses marched on, Loki settling into the companionable silence. It gave him time to think about why he felt so much happier now. He knew he was a lonely man: it was hard not to be aware that he had next to no friends, or that the controversy of his rule, of his very continued existence, was not confined to humanity alone. His own people were deeply divided, and that many of them placed the onus of their new circumstances squarely on his shoulders-for better or worse.
He had almost convinced himself that he could handle it, that it didn't bother him at all, that he was the rock upon which the waves of hatred and suspicion would break.
And then you had come along, and forced him to remember what happens to a rock in the sea, if there was no one there to shore it up. He was rapidly forgetting what he had been like before you, remembering his life as if you had been there the whole time. He didn't even know if it was an effect that you specifically had on him, or if he was simply so starved for companionship, that he had begun pouring all of his friendship and attention upon the first one he happened to get.
But you, with your presence, had shown him that he did not actually want to go it alone. He wanted someone he could greet every morning, someone he could talk to, someone he could clap on the back. Not just someone he was responsible for, but someone he could actually care about.
And now that he knew he wanted that, he burned with want for it, just as he did with anything else he had ever desired.
He should open up more. Be friendlier with the nobles, and maybe the servants too. Perhaps he should answer some of those invitations to meet with their daughters, if only to expand his circle of people known. Even if he did not want to marry any of them, he could at least be friends. Maybe he should go out into the human encampment again, and see which ones actually liked him. It would be getting cold again, over the next few months. Perhaps they would appreciate a delivery of blankets. Or food. Or any attention at all. Perhaps they felt the same way he did; just frantically desiring a little attention. He could spare that.
But making friends with humans wasn't always a good investment. That was another of the reasons he had stopped coming to Midgard. The standard Midgard education course involved repeated visits spread out over a couple of centuries. Loki made friends easily in those days, not perceiving his differences just yet, but every single time he returned, the friends he made had either died, or changed so drastically, he no longer recognized them. He rarely saw the same people twice. Even darling little Sigyn, with her magic, and her fiery nature. His first, childish love, whom he had naively believed could be his forever, who had promised to wait for him. She had been carried off by illness after bearing children for another man, by the time he had returned, and he had carved himself a skin of stone to place between himself and the Earth, that he never have to think of her again.
But perhaps it was time to soften his heart to Midgard once more. Perhaps the fleeting nature of human lives added value to them. Their stories were short, and would only be told once, so they had to fit as much into them as possible.
“So, what will we do tomorrow?” You asked. So human. Always looking for tomorrow.
“Is there anything in particular that you would like to do, my dear?” He asked. You looked at him with a quizzical expression, having noticed the affection that filled his voice.
“Uh, well...” You said. “I figure there's a lot of paperwork to catch up on, since we've been gone a whole week.”
“You'd like to go over paperwork with me?”
“And maybe more magic practice. I don't want to get behind. And maybe I'll make more cinnamon rolls?”
“How delightful. That sounds like a good day.” To greet you every morning, to speak with you and split his work. To pat you on the back and hold your hand. To share your life. It filled him with a warm kind of contentment.
                                                                              ******
Loki had kindly used his magic once again, to float you and Acorn across the river, and back onto Asgardian land. The camps had apparently not been alerted that you were returning today, so the crowd of humans who came to greet you were hastily gathered, and smaller than it otherwise would have been. You saw Sofie in the crowd, and waved to her happily. But Todd was also there, and you greeted him with much less enthusiasm, which was to say, not at all.
Never one to just let something go, he pushed his way up alongside your horse.
“Did it go well, sweetie?” He asked. “Did that guy get what he deserved?”
“Pretty much.” You said shortly. “And I'm gonna stop answering you, if you don't quit it with the pet names.”
“I'm sorry. You've had such a rough time. Are you sure you don't want to come home yet?”
You drew yourself up on Acorn's back trying to hide your tiredness.
“It's out of the question, Todd.” You said coldly. Loki Glared at him even more coldly.
“I'm afraid if you wish to speak more with my seidkona, you will have to make an appointment.” He interjected. “And I'm afraid she will be busy for the foreseeable future.”
“With what?” A voice in the crowd shouted out. “Being your prisoner? Slave to the would-be conqueror?”
“Great Loki protects the seidkona!” Someone from Trolekaerhalla shouted back. “He fights for her!”
“So he can keep her trapped here!”
“Guys!” You yelled. “Hey, it's all right. I'm not a prisoner, I live here now. I've got a job, and I've got citizenship. You don't have to worry about me.”
Instead of soothing the crowd, the shouting just started up again, even more ferocious than before. Why hadn't that worked? The people in town had been willing to listen, but these people were now shouting about you being brainwashed, or threatened into saying things.
Loki pushed forward, with Leynarodd's help, bullying his way through the crowd. Einherjar came to escort you into Asgard once you'd gotten close enough, and then the screaming crowds were left behind. You hoped they wouldn't start fighting each other.
“I don't get it.” You complained, as Asgardians gathered on the streets, waving little gold cloths this time. “Why didn't they listen to me?”
“Because they were never here for you.” Loki said sourly. “They were here for pure hatred of me, with a mask of you painted over it. You're the excuse they use, to seem noble instead of grudging. If you strip away that mask, they have to paint it back with different colors. So, instead of them being wrong, you have to be wrong somehow. Brainwashed, or mind controlled, or threatened, or forced, or seduced, or a traitor. In a way, the camp that openly hates us for being here at all is more open and honest about their intentions. Not more admirable, but more honest. But the gates are behind us, and we needn't think about it any more. Look. The sun sits low, and dusk has returned to us. The people rejoice. You are home.”
His words warmed you. Home. The long journey was over. A hot dinner and your soft bed awaited you. You had books and plants and seeds to unpack. You could take a nice, long bath.
You could finally relax.

THE COMPLETE SIGHTS OF SCIFI STAR WARS REVIEW PART 2.
Tumblr media
BRIDGES TO A NEW HOPE.
https://sights-on-the-scifi.tumblr.com/post/189186099956/the-complete-sights-of-scifi-star-wars-review-part PART 1.
These next four pieces of STAR WARS media have exactly the kind of things i’m looking for in STAR WARS prequels, they fully understand what made the original trilogy so great. All of these titles meaningfully expand the universe not just with words, but also through engaging cinematic techniques and fun characters all wrapped up in an entertaining adventure general audiences can enjoy!
Action, drama, politics and effective score. Its all here in full force.
JEDI FALLEN ORDER 2019.
Years after the fall of the galactic republic and the destruction of the jedi order. The newly formed galactic empire has begun its conquest of the galaxy, seizing complete military enforced control of the means of production and industry, invading disobedient planets, taking control of natural resources through force then assimilating all species and their cultures under the emperors one rule.
Oppression can be felt everywhere.
Tumblr media
The burnt out husks of the republic, separatists and the clone wars are being brought down to shipwrecking planets like Bracca to be stripped for valuable parts, melted down and recycled into materials that will construct the empires growing imperial war machine fuelling this transition. This is all carried out by overworked and underpaid engineers turned scrappers... This location also serves as a fantastic opening to the game! Giving us a believable insight into how the aesthetics and technology of this galaxy changed so drastically into the one we are all familiar with.
Tumblr media
All of this world building is organic and we get to experience the emotional and political impact of this new reality at the same time the character we play as does. Cal Kestis is a jedi padawan who has gone into hiding after the events of order 66, and it is here he has spent most of his young life dismantling the world he had once known to blend in, waiting for any sign of other surviving members of the jedi council to hopefully tell him what to do next and its fantastic juxtaposition. We see him and his friend Prauf running through and scaling the dangerous work environments of this planet talking about their hopes and dreams for a future outside of this depressing place.
The heroes journey is an essential part of STAR WARS storytelling.
youtube
Prauf being the oldest wants Cal Kestis to someday find his destiny and tries to motivate him to do so. As you can see there, the performance capture on this character even Cal is incredible and you really feel the emotion in the dialogue. Layered within this endearing narrative is great foreshadowing of events to come, political commentary and emotional content, this is stuff that I wish the Lucas directed star wars prequels were better at. But regardless its amazing to finally see it done so well here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jedi fallen order is not just an exciting star wars action adventure game with sleek mechanics, its also an intriguing narrative that shows us how survivors of a gone away world cope with the loss of that civilisation and their role within it. The game is full of great characters who assist and motivate Cal on his journey to discover hope for the future! I dont want to spoil too much of it because its really something you gotta experience for yourself to fully appreciate.
These qualities will also be expressed in the next three pieces of bridge media ill review.
SOLO A STAR WARS STORY 2018.
This is the second movie to be released in the STAR WARS anthology movie series. In it we are shown the backstory to one the original trilogy’s most recognisable characters Han Solo! While it is not a perfect production (What star wars movie is?...) its still a fun and exciting adventure full of style.
Tumblr media
Like with Fallen order we get a detailed look at the ways in which the empire is taking control of the galaxy not just in terms of society and culture but also on the economic level, and it all has some interesting real world parallels. On the planet Corellia Han and his girlfriend Qi’ra are trapped in a life of crime for the local gangsters who use orphaned children as a means to carry out scams and steal expensive vehicles from rival gangs and even the wealthy elite. Discovering a rare resource on a job which is used by the empire to power their enormous starfleet, Han steals this along with a lighting fast speeder to outrun their masters and hopefully bribe the imperial guards at the immigration port checkpoint to then escape off world for good.
Tumblr media
Its through this impressive opening sequence that we get an insight into the class divide of this universe and how the empire oppress and exploit populations of the worlds they control, we are even shown how they collude with the gangs to funnel desperate youths into recruitment offices for the empire’s vast military. Again its all organic, interwoven with the narrative of the character we follow. We experience it as they do! With shots of the newly constructed empire star destroyers that we saw were built with the re purposed scrap seen in Fallen order for an example.
Tumblr media
This is what STAR WARS excels at, wrapping interesting social commentary and scifi themes around a fairly simple heroes journey. There is even more of this stuff too throughout the rest of the film, like we see in vivid detail how the empire sends the poorest of these worlds to fight in off world conflicts across the entire galaxy to eliminate native resistance and install a regime loyal to the emperor. It is fascinating way to show how oppressive and brutal this fascist empire is... When Han’s escape plan fails and he is separated for Qi’ra, he is then forced to escape from the gangs and imperial authorities by posing as a civilian looking to become a soldier in the empires army, though he does not get to be a pilot like he imagined for long. Han is thrust into a survival situation, as he and many others like him are forced to fight in a world war 1 inspired hellhole.
Tumblr media
We see thats its not just elite storm troopers that compose the empires forces, but also these scarcely equipped mud troopers comprised of the working poor. After these amazing sequences the film settles into a more predictable heist narrative with a ragtag criminal crew, seeing Solo develop into the character we all know and love from those original films. Finding Chewie, getting the Falcon, his iconic Blaster, meeting Lando you name it and its all here!
Solid stuff.
STAR WARS THE FORCE UNLEASHED 2008.
Originally intended to be the official bridge between REVENGE OF THE SITH and the 1977 CLASSIC STAR WARS. This game tells the tale of Darth Vader's secret apprentice Starkiller, who is tasked in eliminating the emperors enemies and former Jedi.
youtube
The game received very mixed reviews upon release as it was criticised for being perhaps a little rushed and a very bland button masher in terms of gameplay mechanics. Though the way in which you could use the force was pretty impressive, especially when combined with very impressive physics systems. What ultimately makes this game so interesting is its story, showing us how Darth Vader desires to escape the control of his master even while he still serves him... He uses Starkiller (Who was a child he stole from his original father/former jedi he was sent to kill), as a means to find the emperors enemies covertly, who just so happen to be rallying together to fight against the sith lord. In so doing Starkiller becomes a double agent, encouraging the formation of this resistance while at the same time killing Jedi to appease Lord Vader and aid his secret plan to assert control of the empire from within.
Tumblr media
Over the course of this journey Starkiller will eventually grow to be sympathetic to the rebel cause and fight for the freedom of the galaxy, though I wont spoil the specifics here.
Tumblr media
Like with the previous media shown in this review we get even more glimpses into the ways in which this galaxy operates, and also how the empire operates. We see junkyard planets filled with the remnants of the clone wars, a deathstar in a very early stage of construction, and small insurrections formed by a surviving Jedi striking at the hearts of the imperial war machine. Its pretty similar to how Fallen order does it, but I feel that Fallen order does a much better job at this while at the same time being a phenomenal gameplay experience.
Despite its flaws though FORCE UNLEASHED is still a fun adventure that fits surprisingly well in the overall narrative i’m experiencing here chronologically! :D
ROGUE ONE A STAR WARS STORY 2016.

The first movie in the STAR WARS anthology film series, ROGUE ONE does everything that SOLO did right perhaps even more so! This movie takes place directly before the events of the 1977 classic, showing us the daring mission to secure the Deathstar plans that Luke then stumbles upon. What is so clever about this narrative is how it wraps a human story around such a small annoying detail in a new hope relating to the Deathstar’s ultimate weakness we are all aware of. The thermal exhaust port...
Tumblr media
ROGUE ONE shows us how the empire exploits the minds and talents of the galaxy’s brightest individuals to construct its oppressive technology and weapons, destroying livelihoods and families in the process as we see in the opening. Galen Erso, a former lead scientist for the Deathstar super weapon project has gone into hiding to avoid aiding in the empires efforts to construct it, becoming a moisture farmer on a remote world. Much to his dismay, Director Orson Krennic a high ranking imperial officer he was once associated with has discovered the location of this farm and intends to bring him back to finish the research on the weapon.
Tumblr media
Foreseeing this eventuality that he will become a hostage to the program, he devises a plan to hide his wife and daughter from the empire while he attempts to avoid being taken away, something that unfortunately is unlikely to happen... The plan does ultimately fail and his wife is killed, while only his daughter manages to escape Krennic’s elite bodyguards. Its a very emotional and impactful opening sequence that has real world relevancy, the history of WMD’s are full of personal tragic complexities like this for example.
Tumblr media
Jyn Erso, Galen’s daughter is orphaned by this event, growing up to become a member of local rebel groups until becoming disgruntled and solitary. When broken out of imperial prison she will soon realise once tasked by the Alliance to retrieve information on the Deathstar that her Father is still alive, and while forced to work on the weapon placed a weakness in the design of the station the rebels can exploit. The groundwork for his revenge. The scene where she views the message made for her is amazing, see for yourself.
youtube
Its very well executed and the emotional impact of the scene really makes it heartfelt while also expanding the universe in a really unique way! The climax of the film expertly shows us the bravery and sacrifice involved in a mission like this aswell, but I wont spoil it go watch the movie yourself to see :D. Again like with the other media shown, it sprinkles in lots of social and political commentary in its visual world building.
This is what a STAR WARS prequel should do!
youtube
I hope you enjoyed these reviews and are encouraged to add these films to your viewing list :). I’m now going to be rewatching the 4k restored theatrical cuts of the original trilogy then playing battlefronts 2′s singleplayer so stay tuned for those reviews once they release!

chelsea watches (read: is agonized by) “avengers: endgame”
Tumblr media
i just got home from endgame and i have a lot to say about it!
OVERALL:
i... liked it? i think? i can’t tell.
there’s probably going to be a lot of complaining in this post, yet i didn’t actually hate the movie. but there was a lot to digest, so i’m sure my feelings will change over the next couple of weeks.
this movie was edited weird and i think it gave me whiplash.
the tone was dramatic and desperate, then lighthearted and fun, and then back to dramatic and desperate before i could so much as blink. it was very jarring!
it also made me cry.
robert downey jr. has always been very earnest in his portrayal of tony stark, but he gave all he had in this one. i was on the edge of tears watching him the whole time, really. there’s definitely a sense of finality to his performance.
those last 20 minutes had me weeping a bit. when they put the arc reactor on the bundle of flowers... oh, my heart. :’(
THE GOOD:
(most of) our characters are back!
but was there ever any doubt? the stakes were made to feel high, but they never really were. you always came away with the feeling that they were all gonna make it.
no word on vision, though! pretty confused about that one. i know he was killed after the snap occurred, so i don’t think they actually can bring him back, but i always thought that he would, since they have this to film still.
it was very well made. i hope they keep bringing back the people who work on the sets, the cinematography, and the lighting, because it was all so well done.
we need to raise one for alan silvestri and his amazing soundtrack.
oh, did anyone else notice the emphasis on DAUGHTERS?
tony’s daughter morgan
scott’s daughter cassie
clint’s daughter lila
thanos’s "daughters”, nebula and gamora
to me, it felt like they were setting up these girls for potentially taking up their father’s mantles, which would actually be cool as fuck.
morgan stark is absolutely the cutest little bean i’ve ever seen in my life.
I LOVE YOU 3000!
her scenes with tony were so sweet.
that cheeseburger parallel... oh man.
really, every scene that every person shared with tony was really good. you can just feel that everybody was giving everything they had because they knew they only had so much time left to play these characters together, and they wanted to get these final performances right.
tom holland, you heartbreaker. the audience in my theater went absolutely nuts when he finally returned. but when he was crying as he was talking to tony for the last time, oh man.
“i lost the kid.” please...
THE BAD:
i still don’t really get what they’re doing with thor.
i don’t share this opinion much because this is tumblr and everyone loves this movie, but i didn’t like ragnarok, and i don’t like what’s become of thor or bruce. i wasn’t really checking on these two before, but now they’re just the comedy reliefs of the MCU.
chris hemsworth is funny, of course, and thor is a badass, of course, but they were just trying so hard with him.
it kind of feels like they’re just pulling him apart, like one group still wants him to be the noble leader of asgard and the other just wants him to be the court jester. so, rather than decide, they just mushed their ideas together.
captain marvel: i knew she wasn’t going to be in the movie much, because she would’ve done everything in, like, 30 minutes, but they really, really underutilized her. seriously, she was only in this one, at most, for five minutes.
but, in those five minutes, she got a new haircut and kicked all kinds of ass, which are both wins.
THE UGLY:
STEVE ROGERS, SIR, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
i can’t believe they hit the undo button on cap’s story.
rather than have him grow and develop in his new role in the future he never wanted or expected to receive, they just had him go back in time to marry the one that got away.
but don’t get me wrong y’all; steve and peggy hurt me so good. i live for their angst. but they weren’t supposed to get together like this!
it’s gross because peggy moved on. she was able to pick up the pieces and create something wonderful for herself by having a fulfilling career and a happy marriage with another man.
steve should’ve accepted her choice. if he loves her so much, he should’ve accepted that he lost her and, since she moved on without him, he has to move on without her.
i can almost get the poetic cinema that they were going for: after tony loses his chance at having a family and living his life, steve is woken up and realizes how much he’s been missing out on, so he decides to go out there and discover what he’s been running away from all this time.
but, rather than do those things, or literally anything else, steve goes back in time to... marry peggy.
like, he could’ve traveled the world with sam and bucky, or gone solo for a while, or even hit up sharon again.
sharon carter, what a waste. they really couldn’t commit to the idea of her and steve together, could they?
but as soon as they confirmed sharon to be peggy’s niece, there was just no way a romance could blossom. it’s kind of hilarious how in a cinematic universe where raccoons talk, characters time travel, and AIs can be 3D printed, kissing the niece of your former flame is still considered to be the weirdest thing about it.
seriously: i find it all so vulgar and manipulative.
the one good thing that came out of this was sam wilson, the only worthy captain america, receiving the shield.
i’ve read that some people are upset that sam got the shield instead of bucky. like, did y’all watch the last movie? let bucky have his plums and his goats. he’s done fighting other people’s wars.
THE EVEN UGLIER:
i got problems, y’all, and those problems have two names: natasha romanoff and clint barton.
i ship these two because everything in the avengers (2012) led me to believe that these super cool assassins who were fighting each other were actually in love with each other and it was them against the world (which doesn’t sound familiar at all, i know).
the characters had history and scarlett johansson and jeremy renner had chemistry. i saw it and i know all y’all saw it.
so, y’all can imagine how goddamn appalled i was when i first read that natasha and clint were not only not lovers, but that clint actually had a secret family, with a secret wife, on a secret farm, and that we were going to be told this with absolutely no build-up whatsoever.
but y’all could tell that the russos were as tired as i was when it came to accepting those facts!
they decided to throw caution to the wind and show some more intimacy between natasha and clint, which was delicious. finally, some good fucking food.
i mean, the necklace? she was wearing her necklace again!
to me, it seemed like natasha had fallen in love with him all those years ago, but he was either already married or had turned her down (or both?), and she was never able to act on her feelings for him. i think that clint was also in love... and perhaps knew that he could never be with her, because of their lifestyles and her past, and chose laura instead. or something agonizing and unfulfilling like that.
(i really hope her upcoming movie expands on this.)
and i do think that she loved him. like, romantically. she couldn’t stop touching him the whole movie (HER HANDS ON HIS FACE!!! she’s so worried for him i’m crying) and was shaking, she was so relieved, upon being reunited with him.
it is some consolation that no matter what, you are never able to deny that natasha and clint love each other: even when they’re not romantic partners, they are definitely platonic life partners. their mutual devotion to one another, in almost every universe in the comics and in these movies, is incredibly strong and moving.
so, rather than endure clint’s death, natasha chose to sacrifice herself so that he could get the stone and, ultimately, be reunited with his family. and, on paper, it sounds okay... except, it really isn’t.
y’all wanna know why it’s not okay?
it’s not okay because natasha was an original avenger, and we were never given the chance to spend time with her, or become emotionally invested in her journey, or to care about her reasons for making the ultimate sacrifice.
like, i cared about natasha, but i felt that i would’ve cared so much more (and that the audience could’ve, as well) had we’d been able to have a front row seat to her “atonement” arc.
because, as an audience, we sort of started in medias res: while she was not initially forthcoming with who she was or what she was doing, natasha came to be seen as a reliable and capable ally by the avengers, her second appearance onscreen. we are given no real reason to distrust her because she’s so desperate to find redemption, which she’s made apparent in almost every movie, and it’s hard to hate somebody working so strongly for another chance.
i mean, this journey would’ve been made so much more badass by us experiencing it firsthand, rather than relying on the hearsay from the directors, writers, and actors. we should’ve gotta a miniseries starring natasha romanoff as the black widow, so we could finally see what she did to become so disgusted with herself and so feared by everyone else.
this is (partially) why so many people adore bucky. we’ve seen him as the best friend, the fellow comrade, before he was forced to become a mindless killing machine. we’ve seen him kill and cause absolute mayhem. but now we’re watching bucky grow out from that and become something more (and, hopefully, something better).
basically, natasha romanoff should’ve received that same treatment. we needed to explore all of her facets, not just some of them.
tl;dr: we should’ve had more time with natasha.
it’s also not okay because natasha’s sacrifice, one that was both irreversible and absolutely pivotal to the fate of the final battle, was not given nearly the same amount of respect that tony received after his demise.
while we all owe a lot to robert downey jr. for his choice to portray, and continue portraying, tony stark / iron man, he is not the most important avenger.
it’s also worth noting that he did not have to be the one to snap his fingers. i mean, anyone could’ve been given what tony was wearing and then wielded the gauntlet. but, like natasha, he made a choice to sacrifice his life for the greater good.
yet, only tony was given an elaborate funeral. no matter how you slice it, it’s enormously disrespectful to a veteran team member. for this ultimate sacrifice to be made by the only woman on the original crew is doubly insulting.
AND ALL OF THIS IS MADE WORSE BY THE FACT that natasha’s death mirrors gamora’s. they’re identical, right down to the music that plays and how the camera focuses on their bloody bodies.
the russos were probably trying to invoke poetic cinema again here, but the scene comes across as somewhat lazy and insincere. like, they can’t even kill her right!
as terrible as this scene is, i want to give scarlett and jeremy a round of applause for it. you really got the sense that these characters were more than ready to die for each other, and that’s only because scarlett and jeremy were able to sell the emotional intimacy of the scene so well.
all of it is too little, too late, however.
allow me to conclude this rambling nonsense by stating that i also think they condensed her character arc too much. like, i know this branches off of what i was just talking about a dozen bullet points ago, but even if natasha were to receive this ending, i feel that she received it too soon, y’know?
there should’ve been more scenes in the previous films dedicated to her, and her feelings, and how she relates to any given situation, because another problem that drags this scene down is the lack of any information about natasha.
like, even when assembled with the other avengers, she feels remote.
perhaps that’s intentional, given that the character’s a spy and has been enigmatic about every other area of her life for so many years. but i think she’s been written to be too enigmatic.

3, 7, 8, 10, 16, 24, 32 !! (also i know you aren’t as far along with her but any of these for our girl Kyhilia after Razhie as well if you want !! ;3c )
YASSSS THANK U BLESS U I LOVE U :’DDhmmmm i would do Kyhilia as well but it’s kind of tricky considering we haven’t really gotten a chance to develop her personality or story yet, and also THIS POST IS REALLY LONG AS IT IS LOL (speaking of, we gotta sit down sometime and rly plan out how we want her to be, once we get a little further on in the story :3ccc i know we have some vague ideas but beyond ‘VICIOUS AND MERCILESS’ we haven’t gotten very far LMAO) so i’m thinking once we do that, i will revisit this and make a nice new post just for her :D because i love her already too and SHE DESERVES HER OWN POST TBH
so, i’m gonna answer these for this lovely lady who fought for her own damn survival with tooth and claw and razor-sharp wit, no fancy space magic, and who really just needs a vacation and a raise (please just give her a break oh my god)
Tumblr media
(this got SO long and i feel SO bad about it that i’m putting it under a cut LMAO)
3. Do they fit in with their faction or were they sort of born into it?she’s only ever known life in the Empire, in fact she’s not even entirely sure of her own origins herself. her earliest memories are of essentially being kept as an ‘exotic pet’ by some scummy Imperial noble, which was where she spent pretty much her entire childhood up until her late teens. whether she was taken from her native planet Shili or born into the slave trade, she has no idea. regardless, her former owner got himself in a lot of trouble, and that’s how she found Imperial Intelligence; she actually helped the operative who was sent to the estate reach him and kill him :’) so while she was a slave because of the Empire, she was also given the opportunity for freedom through the Empire…in some sick, twisted way, it worked out for her. the irony was, of course, not lost on her during Certain Events That Transpired In Chapter 2 (that you haven’t seen yet lmao but hoooo fuckin boy are you in for a trip)
7.Are they loyal to their faction? this is…INCREDIBLY difficult to answer, and part of why it’s taking me so long to make this post LMAO because this is the one aspect of Razhie’s character that i’ve had to give the most hard thinking into, since all things considered… she really should not be loyal at all. she should never have been in the first place. she was given the opportunity to defect...and didn’t take it. now here i gotta admit it: a lot of this was before i really started getting into Razhie as a character. i just played the game and made whatever decisions that came naturally. i don’t want to change her in-game “canon” history, so she’s going to live with the decisions “she” made, and now i get to come up with justifications for all of them :’D it’s a work in progress, needless to say. and my answer here is subject to change as i figure out even more about her character.
THAT SAID,as an alien, and a former slave at that, she never really had any true love or loyalty to the Empire. however, she learned pretty quickly while growing up that when it comes to the Empire, obedience is the best way to survive…and she’s all about surviving :’) she did place some semblance of trust and loyalty into Imperial Intelligence, because they were the ones who helped her leave behind her old life, and her role as a Cipher agent gave her power–something she’s never had. even as an alien, even not Force-sensitive, Intelligence made her influential. so she’ll play the loyal servant of the Empire and do its dirty work from the shadows, given that her alternatives were much, much worse. so if anything, she was loyal to the work she did. she had a job to do, and she was going to damn well do it. besides, no one ever said she was a good person (at least she certainly didn’t start out that way. she’s had a lot of character development and she’s resorted to more diplomacy, thanks to Vector’s influence over her heart lmao) but as she said to Kaliyo once: “I get to lie, cheat, and murder, legally and for profit”–like it or not, she must play the hand she’s been dealt, and despite all that’s happened to her, she is very good at her work. and of course she comes to learn that there are countless good, innocent, and worthy people in the Empire, and those in power (namely the Sith) just squander them, so she will fight for them as well. after all, for better or worse, the Empire is all she’s ever known.
unfortunately, every time Razhie starts to put in trust, it comes back to betray her. she stayed with Intelligence because at least there, she has some agency of her own… or so she thought, until Watcher X, and the Castellan Restraints, and “keyword: onomatophobia,” and suddenly she’s feeling more trapped and powerless than as her days as a slave. so, when the Black Codex fell into her hands, and she had a choice to make–stay with the new Sith Intelligence, or defect, or ‘disappear’–her sense of self-preservation made it pretty clear. she chose to become a shadow agent and work for herself. but one does not simply stop being ‘loyal’ to the Empire, and one does not simply walk out of Imperial Intelligence, and the last thing she wants is to be hunted down by her own kind.  so it turns out that working for herself still led to working in the best interests of the Empire, but at least now she gets to answer to no one. and she’ll take all she can get :’)
what’s more, she absolutely does not like the Sith at all (and you may recall me mentioning once that she has a sister who is a Sith :3c but that’s a post for another time lmao) and very much disagrees with the current form of government that the Empire has (where it’s basically controlled by a bunch of egotistical Sith that are more concerned about power and in-fighting and killing each other and going rogue than actually doing their jobs) so with the disappearance of the Emperor (this is a recent development, and like i said, haven’t done KOTFE or KOTET yet so there are Big Changes Coming lmao) she’s (tl;dr) kind of…holding out for what the Empire could be, a future where those in control are actually reasonable, rational beings, not some unstable Sith… and she’ll do it herself if she damn well has to.
8. How do they feel about the opposite faction?the Republic likes to think of themselves as better than the Empire, and she’s seen firsthand that they are capable of just as much atrocity as the Empire is, they just try to hide it under the guise of being the ‘good guys.’ Razhie knows that war is ugly, and she sees the worst in both sides. her time with the SIS left a bad taste in her mouth, and even after being given the chance to defect, it was a no-brainer in her mind. so basically she doesn’t have the ABSOLUTE BURNING LOATHING for the Republic that many Imperials do, but she has a job to do, and (for the most part, these days) she works in the best interests for the Empire ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ basically, she doesn’t think the Republic is all its cracked up to be. it’s all shades of grey, anyway.
10. What is their specialization class? Was there a reason they picked that discipline?she is a sniper specializing in engineering! she wanted to take full advantage of the technology and (literal) firepower that Intelligence could supply her with, and as she usually finds herself against multiple opponents at a time, it’s a lot easier than just having to rely on her sniper rifle alone :’) she takes every edge she can get tbh
16. What do they do in their spare time?SPARE TIME WHAT’S THAT LMAO honestly i’d imagine she loves nothing more than to lay low on her ship and just decompress whenever she gets the chance, enjoying not being shot at for once. she values her quiet time :’D another big one would be sightseeing…especially since Vector makes multiple sweet comments about seeing new places, going on vacations with the husbug would be quite nice n.n
24. If they could be part of another group, what would it be? You can choice from Old Republic, Expanded Universe, or Cinematic Universe.i’d imagine she’d make a good smuggler! her…special talents in lying, cheating, taking things that don’t belong to her, usually right out from under the person’s nose would just go to waste in any more ‘respectable’ professions :’D but really, given her personality and how much of her life has been built around being an infiltrator and a spy, i can’t really see her doing anything else!
32. Do they have any special skills?basically, all her special skills make her very well suited to being a spy :’D  thanks to the training she underwent for Intelligence, she’s adept at using pretty much any kind of weapon you could throw at her. she can talk her way out of just about anything, and shoot her way out of everything else. she has no problems with resorting to seduction (and she’s VERY good at it lmao) and has a talent of figuring out just what is necessary to manipulate a person–their weaknesses, faults, etc–basically on the fly. she can play a situation to turn out exactly how she wants, and if something goes wrong, she improvises. she’s charming, intelligent, manipulative, quick-thinking, and knows about a hundred different ways to kill people–but can de-escalate a situation almost as easily. she didn’t make it this long as a secret agent for no good reason, after all :’D
OK I AM DONE TALKING NOW but yeh thanks so much for asking because it forced me to sit down and really work through more of the roadblocks i’ve been hitting in developing her character, i still have a lot of work left to do but i love her as a character SO MUCH and i’m really excited to see where it all ends up :’D
and if anyone else actually read this whole thing…pat yourself on the back, holy fuck. thanks for caring :’D

RFA + Minor Trio: Video Games
So I got bored, and being the Mystic Messenger obsessed game addict that I am, my mind wandered to wondering what sorts of video games the RFA would play, like types or genres and some examples (aside from LOLOL in Yoosung’s case of course lol), which led to making this headcanon post. Of course, these are all just my personal headcanons, and I would love to hear what thoughts you guys have for this subject! Sharing headcanons is fun~!! Sorry this got kinda long tho lol I guess I got carried away ^^;;;
Note: If you’re on the mobile app and only see Yoosung’s section, copy and paste the post’s URL into your mobile web browser. That should fix it~
💚YOOSUNG💚
Well we all know that he’s addicted to LOLOL, and probably plays or has tried other MMOs. As perfect as those are for him, I’m looking at other types of games for this. Otherwise it’s too easy lol
Plays RPGs and adventure games the most
When he can make a custom character, his preferred classes are knight or warrior classes, but he’s also open to playing as mages
Definitely the kind of player that picks up every. Single. Side quest. Because he wants to help everyone
Need a certain number of rarely dropped items? No problem!
Want to deliver an item to someone who’s not even a two minute walk away? He’s on it!
Got a super difficult optional boss that you want dead that can–and will–display the Game Over screen multiple times, and you’re offering a class-specific item he can’t use as a reward? Sign him the fuck up!
Unless they want something he doesn’t agree with… -gives Skyrim’s Blades the side-eye-
No matter how hard he tries, he just can’t bring himself to play the “asshole/aggressive character” style
“Sure, this assassin was hired by that one traitor who wants us dead, my party is totally against letting him live since he might try to kill us again, and we have absolutely no reason to trust him aside from his seemingly honest answers which he could have just fabricated to save himself, so logic seems to point at killing him to be safe…………buuuuuuuuuut he could be a helpful party member and then no one has to die!”
Also, he loves games that encourage interaction with other players!
“People think that you don’t get any friends if you play games… but you get tons!” TRUTH!!!
So yeah, games with interaction are great!
Honestly MMORPGs are fucking perfect for him and and that’s why he’s addicted to LOLOL! lol seriously dude game with me plz
Really likes Pokemon for the sense of community with trades and battles and such
Totally attempted to make a competitive team at some point
Whenever new games are announced, he and Seven figure out who gets what version so they can trade version exclusives and such
Can never beat Seven in a battle tho… The one rival battle he can never win T^T
Also this guy is a Kirby fan fight me on this
♥ZEN♥
Not a lot of time for gaming with his schedule, but he doesn’t mind using them to wind down or as a distraction when he has the time or feels really stressed out (and if working out doesn’t help first)
He’s a fan of the more cinematic or story driven games, like Shadow of the Colossus, Heavy Rain, and The Last of Us
Knowing this, Yoosung recommended some Telltale games to him
Zen got hooked. The Wolf Among Us is probably his favorite
Plus their episodic releases really work with his schedule, with each episode lasting about 2 hours, give or take. So if he starts on a fully released one, he can do one episode a day until he’s done
Sometimes he and Yoosung will talk about how their stories went or what choices they made
“Wait, you knew what ‘Glass him’ meant???”
“Of course I did, Yoosung, that’s why I didn’t choose it! What did you think it meant?”
“I thought it meant giving him a drink, not smashing the glass in his face!!!”
“lol well now you know in case they use it again!”
“T_T”
Also, I’m sure this likely goes without saying, but this man is damn good at DDR style games or Pump it Up I guess cuz Korea but you get my point. Good luck trying to beat him lol
I mean, first off, he’s clearly got great rhythm considering his job
And second, great form of aerobic exercise! So why not?
Might try to get Yoosung into exercising more by tricking convincing him to play this with him
He’s definitely a “freestyle” sorta player, doin’ all sorts of flashy moves
Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s been asked to do voice work for a game
Maybe a dating sim…
💜JUMIN💜
Okay, let’s get the obvious out of the way. This man definitely plays Neko Atsume and no force in this universe can convince me otherwise. It’s about cats and you really only play it in very short intervals through the day, which works with his schedule. It’s perfect for him. Moving on
With his busy schedule due to running a company and whatnot, there really isn’t a lot of time for him to sit down to play video games despite owning a couple of systems apparently. It might be days or weeks between play sessions. So casual games are more his thing
Okay so, hear me out. Animal Crossing New Leaf
You’re in charge of a village and what gets built where, gotta manage your finances with paying off your house and having new structures and businesses built, sometimes schedule meetings visits with the villagers, cat villagers
NOTHING BUT CAT VILLAGERS
Questions Tom Nook’s business strategy regarding the house
“Why have the house expanded before they pay for it? A customer could easily betray your trust that way by never paying you for the final expansion. Paying ahead of time as you do with the exterior customizations would be wiser.”
“Jumin it’s just a game… ;;;;;;”
Probably made Jaehee get a copy of the game to make some tasks easier
“Assistant Kang, you have perfect oranges in your village, yes?”
“Yes, though why are you asking me right now? Don’t you have a meeting in five minutes?”
“I’m passing the time, and Mitzy requested an orange.”
“Don’t you have regular oranges to give her?”
“Of course, but Mitzy deserves no less than a perfect orange.” plus he still needs her picture, and prefect fruit will help with that
-_-;;; “……I don’t think I can get one to you before the meeting, but I can have a full basket ready for you after you’re done.”
“That will do.”
Also, do not let this man play Minecraft
Remember, this is the guy who made fucking blueprints when he was told to draw a house when he was a little kid. He would definitely get carried away like that in Minecraft
Like in the tutorial when they tell you to make a house? Basically just a simple box with a door? pffft, nah. That won’t do
He would probably end up building the most elaborate cube-based house you could possibly imagine and leave you wondering how the fuck he had the free time to build that
“Firstly you need a nice foyer to leave a good first impression. A standard house should have at least two bedrooms, though three would be ideal. And a living room and a kitchen are both necessary, of course. I suppose a library or office is optional, but they make a great addition. Getting enough colored wool proved to be difficult, but adding some color with carpets keeps the house from looking bland and–”
“Jumin it’s just the tutorial! You just need a one room house with a door and a bed!”
“That’s not a house, though. That’s a shed with a bed.”
-facepalm-
might use it to help plan out layouts for new buildings
💛JAEHEE💛
Man, most of these guys really don’t have time for gaming, huh?
Jaehee probably has the least amount of free time for gaming tho. Poor Baehee barely has time to sleep :c
She’s honestly really not that into games tho, so this doesn’t bother her. There are much more productive things she can do in her spare time like get some sleep jfc let the woman get enough sleep for once plz!!
Though if Zen did do a voice in a game she would play it in a heartbeat, or look up a playthrough at the very least. Nowhere near the same as seeing him actually acting up on a stage of course, but surely he can do a great performance solely with his voice!
Like Jumin, casual games that you can put down for long periods of time would suit her best
Actually ends up liking Animal Crossing more than she thought she would or wants to admit
She loves how the villagers are always happy to see her and always rooting for her, and she absolutely adores Isabelle
Probably has a Brewster plush or figure somewhere in her cafe
While I don’t think she’d actually play them, I can imagine her being REALLY good at fighting games
Just takes her a quick look through those lengthy combo lists and she’s got that shit memorized, and with a few practice rounds she can kick your ass with perfect wins before you even know what hit you
But of course, she probably wouldn’t play them, so you don’t have to worry about that :)
❤️️707❤️️
Yay, someone with some time to game!
Actually no, that’s a lie, but he procrastinates on his work a lot, so he has game time
Anything that’s humorous or gives him a chance to be a jackass would be his shit
Sometimes you just need the stupid humor of a goat flying through the air in ragdoll mode to help you get through the day, y'know?
He also enjoys puzzle games to exercise his mind, and racing games for obvious reasons he can go fast without risking his babies’ safety lol
Okay so in Yoosung’s route, he mentions playing GTO (assumed to be a knockoff of GTA), which makes sense for him because cars and high jinks, but with that in mind you know what he’d really get a kick out of?
Saints Row, especially Saints Row IV, cuz that one has hacking elements, and you get superpowers, and you gotta save people and shit. Sounds great for the Defender of Justice, no? The comedy and great music selection is a bonus, really c:
As for being a jackass… Be cautious if you invite him to play Mario Party with you.
He will purposely aim for the Chance Time spaces just to watch everyone else freak out about it, and he will aim for stealing your stars and often succeeds
He’s also really fuckin’ good at Mario Kart. Do not challenge him unless you like being hit by blue shells and other such items
Also, Battleblock Theater. Great puzzle platformer, good humor, and in co-op mode, a great chance to be an ass!! Much to Yoosung’s dismay lol
“Seven, stop throwing me into the water!! And stop blowing me up! We won’t get the time bonus at this rate!”
“lolol who cares, seeing you get mad is worth it~”
A grumpy Yoosung later got revenge by shoving 707’s character into the water
they laugh about it later lol
💙V💙
Guys, this poor man can’t see well at all. Like, he can only see a little bit out of his left eye. That kinda makes video games a challenge for him
That being said…idk he probably liked Pokemon Snap when he could see
Okay seriously this time, imagining he can see well and his life isn’t shit. He’d be a big fan of games that are about exploration and have stunning views or a unique art style
He’d probably really like Okami, Unravel, and Journey
Ori and the Blind Forest! Get it? Cuz he’s.........into artistic games and that game is really fuckin’ pretty
and he’s bli--
Also Firewatch. That game is fucking gorgeous. He would take so many screenshots in that one plus there’s a camera feature in the game lol
Also imagine him and Jumin playing Animal Crossing together and tell me that’s not the cutest shit
It’s a cute and light-hearted game, which I feel like he’d be into, he can play it on his 3DS when travelling, and it’s something he could play with his best buddy~ I’m down for this
Oh shit sudden thought
Okay hear me out! In an attempt to try to get closer to Yoosung, V asks him to teach him how to play LOLOL. Yoo might be a little hesitant at first but eventually agrees to it and holy shit it actually goes well and yay they’re bonding!
And damn V does a great job as a support mage
Of course V can’t play much due to travelling for work, but they try to schedule play times around that and make it work out. And during his travels, if V comes across a location that reminds him of some scenery seen in the game, he sends a picture of it to Yoosung and can this be a thing? I want this to be a thing because I need more Yoosung and V fluff in my life okay sorry for the ramble MOVING ON
seriously tho he probably really liked Pokemon Snap as a kid
💔SAERAN💔
Look me in the eyes and tell me this guy doesn’t rage quit
Like Michael Jones Rage Quit levels of rage quit
That first one is definitely him and Seven
Otherwise he’s pretty much silent when playing
As for games he’d like, anything that’ll let him blow off some steam, like shooters or fighting games
Need a partner for CoD Zombies? Or need someone to co-op Resident Evil with? Well, he’s not much of a multiplayer sorta guy, but if you can convince him then you’re set cuz he’d be damn good at those!
And Multi-man Smash mode in Smash Bros is very therapeutic to him
Especially when his brother gets on his nerves
Which is often…
You can tell he’s really pissed off when he breaks out Mortal Kombat > ->;;;;;
Also, I can’t help but think that he’d be pretty good at the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games
As in “really fucking close to 100%-ing Through the Fire and the Flames on Expert mode in GH3” pretty good
Seriously his hacker hands are probably really fuckin’ fast I’m sure he could pull it off
Though when his bro sets up a “Family Game Night” and you know he would totally do that at some point or some sort of gaming get-together and sets up Rock Band, Saeran usually prefers to play the drums
holy shit drummer Saeran tho
Oh yes, thinking of gaming nights, if you thought Sev was a monster at Mario Kart, hoo boy, Saeran can be pretty ruthless himself
Except he usually saves all of his blue shells and other misery-inducing items for his bro
In a way he’d be your ally if you get stuck behind Seven
But when they need to team up, like for a 2v2 minigame in Mario Party, you are done
Those two working together make a lethal combination that you could never hope to defeat
I blame twin magic
💘VANDERWOOD💘️
So, hear me out. Card games
They probably play casual card games like Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, Hearts, etc on their phone to pass time
And they come across as a decent strategist to me, considering their job
And card games tend to focus very heavily on strategy
So card-based games like Shadowverse and (don’t laugh) Yu-Gi-Oh and such are probably up their alley
They’d also be really good tactical games like Disgaea
But for the most part they just favor those simple card games like Solitaire. They have too much to do to focus on other such games
Not that Seven hasn’t tried to drag them into gaming with him!
They only agreed to it when they thought Seven would get back to work after a quick game of Mario Kart or Smash Bros or something
Would lose on purpose to make the game go faster
Sev would know though and try to force them into another round
“This time with feeling!”
(;¬_¬) “…Alright, fine…..”
Another victory for 707
“Okay, you won again, now back to work.”
“Oh come on, one more! You looked like you were having fun that time! Sorta kinda!”
-Vanderwood pulls out taser-
;;;;;;; “Right, back to work! Understood!”
Was definitely having fun tho. Don’t tell Seven

Kylie is back at it, folks. She’s proving she can be a mom and a bombshell in her new buzzed about social media posts.
There’s always got to be a Kardashian rocking platinum locks.
Now that Kim and Kris have returned to their brunette hues, Kylie is taking a swing at the being the blonde in the clan. We all know that Kylie loves changing up her look, from lip colors to wigs, but this is the first big beauty reveal since she gave birth to Stormi on February 1st.
The 20-year-old enterpenur posted a gram of herself yesterday with full, luscious blond hair captioning it with…“I think I was meant to be blonde.” Every time a Kardashian bleaches their hair for real, I get super stressed about the amount of damage to their strands and the fall out that occurred in the process, but my nerves can rest easy knowing that in this case, it’s a wig. Kylie tagged wig designed Tokyo Styelz in the photo, who later confirmed that she is sporting a very convincing wig. Underneath that, the new mom is currently rocking a dark lob as seen in this pic with Stormi.
This week Kylie also posted a sexy throwback shot of her in a bikini, writing underneath, “Summer Goals.” Young moms, like Ky, often have an easier time getting back their pre-baby bod, plus, with the chefs and personal trainers at her disposal, we won’t be surprised when we see Kylie posting pics of her reaching her goals in a few months.
However, she got some serious flack this week when she snapped herself promoting a waist training corset as a way to bounce back after pregnancy. The snaps showed off her impressively flat tummy seven weeks after delivering a child…we’ve gotta give her that…but it was a #ad and she encouraged fans to buy the corset with her discount code. Critics complained that Kylie was setting unattainable beauty standards, encouraging unhealthy methods to slim down, and making moms who don’t lose the baby weight as quickly felt badly.
What do you guys think? Was it messed up of Kylie to post a waist training ad? Are you glad that the hair change up is just a wig. Let me know in the comments section below. And after that, make sure to click right over here to see what her sister, Khloe, is most nervous about after her baby is born. Thanks for hanging out with me here on Clevver News. Why Zack Snyder’s Justice League Isn’t Canon
https://ift.tt/30xdBEM
Zack Snyder’s Justice League will unveil what was once the Bigfoot of the film industry: the titular director’s true rendition of the 2017 DC megamovie from which personal tragedy initially incited his exit. Indeed, rarely does a legendary unrealized project manage to manifest in such a definitive manner. Yet, while the film’s imminent HBO Max premiere will be a clear victory for the legions of fans behind the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement, Snyder revealed a major concession he made regarding its place in the DC Extended Universe continuity.
If you needed confirmation straight from the horse’s mouth about the Snyder Cut’s place in the disjointed DCEU, then Snyder obliged during an interview with podcast DC Cinematic Cast, on which he clarified where his lengthy redux stands vis-à-vis the canon he launched with 2013’s Man of Steel and 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Potentially upsetting passionate proponents, Zack Snyder’s Justice League—for all its elaborate new bells and whistles—will not be considered canon in the DCEU. Rather, the version released at theaters in 2017, which took shape under the now-controversial stewardship of pinch director Joss Whedon, will remain the acknowledged version of the onscreen superhero tandem.
“It’s interesting, sort of in the DCEU, or whatever it’s become, that that trilogy [Man of Steel, Batman v Superman and Justice League] sort of insulates itself in some ways it becomes, like, it’s its own thing now,” explained Snyder. “I famously said, and it’s true—this isn’t controversial—but you know, this film, my Justice League, is not canon, right? Canon for Warner Bros. is the Joss Whedon version of Justice League, right? That’s—in their mind—that’s canon. And what I’m doing is not, everything I’m doing is not. So, it’s just interesting, that relationship. And I’m fine with it because I feel like the only way that I could have made this film with autonomy was because of that, because of me admitting and agreeing to the fact that it is not canon.”
With the Snyder Cut set to manifest with double the length of the preceding two-hour Whedon version, Zack Snyder’s Justice League was always destined to take the storyline down narrative paths intended to be consequential for the subsequent array of DCEU movies—most notably his plans for Justice League to serve as the kickoff for follow-up films. Indeed, besides the expanded backstories for heroes The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg, we’re set to see a more realized rendition of the film’s primary conflict, with the invasion of armies from Apokolips led by a still present—and significantly pointier—Steppenwolf to be accompanied by heretofore unseen fellow Jack Kirby-concocted lieutenants Desaad, Granny Goodness and, most notably, the character widely acknowledged as DC Comics’ main big bad, Darkseid; a character whose mere presence alone changes the entire dynamic of the film, and anything that would have followed. It’s a stark contrast from the theatrical version, which only had the main heroes fending off an initial incursion of the Apokoliptian armies, and only built to a climactic battle with Steppenwolf.
HBO Max
Consequently, with the less-extensive theatrical cut of Justice League having uniquely shaped the DCEU canon for its successors in 2018’s Aquaman, 2019’s Shazam, 2020’s Birds of Prey and Wonder Woman 1984, it stands to reason that the lavish narrative avenues inevitably explored in the Snyder Cut were always destined to step on the established continuity already shaped by Whedon’s version. Therefore, barring an eventual retroactive timeline-altering, Crisis on Infinite Earths-type take on the big screen, the Snyder Cut will be relegated to the realm of apocrypha. It’s a development that seemingly stultifies some of the hype for the film, since there was a mostly-unspoken notion that Zack Snyder’s Justice League would serve as a canonical course correction to the widely-panned, fiscally-underperforming 2017 film in a manner akin to the DVD-released Richard Donner cut of the 1981 Richard Lester-pinch-directed Superman II or even the handful of director’s cuts for Ridley Scott’s 1982 sci-fi opus, Blade Runner, which are seen as having successfully corrected the pacing issues that hindered the film’s initial theatrical run.
“I understand the frustration,” says Snyder regarding the potential fan blowback. “If someone was frustrated by that concept, I wouldn’t say don’t be frustrated by it. It’s fine to be frustrated by it, I’m frustrated by it. So, I would only say, though, that the grander, greater concept for the DCEU is on another road. And there’s nothing I can do about that. That is just, it is what it is. That’s not my decision.” However, Snyder emphasized how the non-canon place of his Justice League was a firm condition connected to the unlikely deal that made the Snyder Cut a reality; a deal that, as a recent report revealed, defied overwhelming odds, since it was later learned that Snyder was enduring a tumultuous relationship with Warner Bros. by the time the tragic death of his daughter Autumn became the catalyst for his exit from the film.

Zack Snyder’s Original Vision for Justice League Faded Long Before His Exit
By Joseph Baxter
Snyder nevertheless remains passionate about the opportunity he was given to complete the movie he’d always intended to make, seemingly having attained a level of acceptance about what he refers to as the “clear delineation” between his cut and the DCEU canon that’s now irreparably shaped by the events of Whedon’s movie. However, he clearly think the Snyder Cut can be seen as its own thing. “It’s not a secret. Obviously, Justice League is [an] anomaly, a never heard of scenario, so it does represent in a lot of ways, this other way of doing it,” he explains. “I think it’s an interesting intersection between… it’s not like the fans said ‘do it this way’ right? The fans said ‘look, we’re into what Zack is doing, so just let it—it was going somewhere, yes, we’re paying attention. You gotta stop going this way and that way.”
The idea that audiences will appreciate Snyder’s film, perhaps in a multiverse-type context, is not outside the realm of possibility. Besides potential passionate boosts from Snyder’s hashtag campaigners, the DCEU has already segmented its film universes, notably with the Joaquin Phoenix-headlined 2019 critical favorite Joker being set outside the DCEU (as Jared Leto’s earlier Suicide Squad version makes a return in new footage shot for the Snyder Cut), and upcoming Robert Pattinson-headlined reboot The Batman also confirmed to take place on a different Earth. This concept was further intensified by the recent news about writer Ta-Nehisi Coates’ J.J. Abrams-attached Superman movie project, which is believed to present a different version of the hero than Henry Cavill’s DCEU iteration. Therefore, it’s reasonable to view the Snyder Cut as its own divergent DC universe, a DC Snyderverse, if you will. Let that one sink in, folks.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League lands on HBO Max on Thursday, March 18.
