Swipe (Lucifer Morningstar x reader) Preview

This is a preview of my WIP fanfic for Lucifer, it’s a three parter and this is a small about of part 1, since it’s still a WIP it’s not yet proof read :) Description: after his divorce, he finally gets back into the dating game…through a dating app :)

Please note I’m writing this before the release of ep7 and ep8 so- 

Takes place between ep 5 and right before ep 6 

I wrote nearly 98% of this at like 3 AM-

 Warning: Lucifer being a dork, Lucifer being a dorky dad, age gap(reader died at like 25 and Lucifer is like a good few thousands years old so), talk of divorce, Charlie being a supportive daughter, I’ve never used a dating apps so i might get info wrong, Lucifer doesn’t know modern day technology or slang, lying

Lucifer’s POV

“Charlie, are you sure about this?” I ask still hesitant, I knew Charlie just wanted to help and had the best intentions, but a dating app?  “Of course!” Charlie exclaimed, face lite up. “It’s perfect! You get to meet people without the face to face interactions!” Charlie said downloading the app, viva by Voxtech.

Charlie’s was more excited than I was, I wanted to meet people but an app? I can’t help but feel my heart race and my body get heavy, why was I this nervous. In the middle of my overthinking Charlie handed me the phone, it had a profile made it had my name and many details. It felt like I was giving it to all 9 rings of hell! “Ok! How we gotta add some photos an-“ 

“Charlie!” 

We both turned are head to see Alastor and Vaggie standing there. “Can you help with something real quick?” Vaggie ask seeming annoyed. “Of course!” Charlie’s called back before as standing up. “You go ahead and add those photos dad I’ll be back!” Charlie said as she ran to the two, leaving me alone on the couch staring at the screen. 

I read over the info and it all was so…personal. How would anyone be comfortable putting this much out? I Don’t get me started with being the King of Hell it’s self, then an idea popped in my head. I turn my head slightly to see Charlie still talking to the pair so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I added photos of my duck inventions and made a duck with a white top hat as my ‘icon’. Now onto the name, Lucifer was too out there everyone would know, think! L names that are similar.

Luca! I instantly think changing the name quickly, removing the last name from the profile along with it. After that it looked like a normal profile. When I finished and satisfied with it Charlie was walking back over. “Sorry bout that dad! Now back to w-.” While she was speaking I shove my phone in my pocket and stand up. “No it’s fine! I set it up!” I nearly screamed it out as I stood from the couch. Charlie stared at me shock for a moment before her normal bright smile returned to her face. “Wow that’s great!” She said as she walked over “Look at you getting the hang of technology!” Charlie said happily. I didn’t know why I was so nervous by an app, but it was on my mind. After finishing talking to Charlie I was able to leave, soon I was back in my bedroom. I let out a sigh and feel onto the massive bed and pulled out my phone, Viva still open.

Y/N POV

Left..Left..Left..

God this app was a never ending app of swiping left on people wanting hook-ups was tiring. This was the last time I’d take F/N  advice and use a dating app, the fact they exist in hell was already surprising. It was nude after nude of people looking for a hookup. Then something different popped up, instead of the naked body I almost have gotten used to, I was greeted by a rubber duck with a white top hat. My eyes widen a bit as I layed there I swipped to look at the second photo, more ducks. I then moved and read the bio. “Luca..” I said quietly to myself reading the short info. I looked at the photos and the bio, it stood out in the sea of profile, i stair a while longer…

…Right.

INTERVIEW WITH AUBREY YANG

Aubrey Yang, the multi-faceted actress debuts her talent and grit for directing and screenwriting in her short film Pelt, winning the Best Screenplay and a notable nominee for the Best Film during London Film week. Since we've last seen her at Elle New York, she has turned 18, nearing 19 now, and made some drastic changes to her life.

Since her film, Yang has not been in any other production as talent, but teases us with a new project "that's coming soon, don't worry". She adores her new found love for being a creative, and is scouting to get her hands on more projects in Hollywood on that side of the camera.

Her studies continue at New York University and she is set to graduate early, next year. When asked about her ability to balance school and work, she smiles knowingly and tells us that "it's important to take breaks, but more importantly, I've chosen things I love to do".

During these breaks, Yang is often seen with fellow young actress Dior Goodjohn and international pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo. But 18 has brought a new hobby: Formula One.

"I met Lily [Muni He] and Alex [Albon] at a gala, and we hit it off. They're like my parents" she answers adoringly. She has been seen multiple times in both the Williams and Ferrari garages visiting with fans and learning about the mechanics of racing.

"I've met some wonderful people; I never really got to be a regular teenager because I was working and going to university early. They've really helped teach me about having fun and letting loose."

Next year when we inevitably feature her lovely face again, we'll see the new changes to her life.

This is set in an AU in which the og bloodline reunited before wrestlemania 40 and Roman retained. As always my stories are about Roman, not Joe. While there is not smut in Chapter 1, there will be in others. This is very much an 18+ BDSM based romance with some comedy thrown in there. You have been warned.

Roman Reigns and the Usos were in a celebratory mood. Roman had just retained at Wrestlemania 40, the bloodline had reunited post implosion and they were feeling on top of the world. The three of them had been drinking heavily all night, and the room was filled with laughter and loud conversation. Solo, Sami and the Wiseman had retired for the night, Leaving only Roman and The Usos to get up to no good in Roman's hotel room.

"And still, Uce!" Jimmy exclaimed, raising his mini bottle of jack in the air along with his pointer finger. "We're unstoppable!"

Jey nodded in agreement, a goofy ass grin on his face. "We're the best damn wrestlers in the business," he said, slurring his words slightly.

Roman chuckled, taking a swig of his glass of Bourbon. "You're damn right we are," he said, his voice a little slurred as well. "Greatness on a different level".

The three of them continued to drink and talk, their conversation becoming more and more ridiculous as the night wore on.

"You know what we should do?" Jimmy said, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "We should set up a Tinder profile for Roman!"

Roman laughed, a bit surprised by the suggestion. "What? Why would I need a Tinder profile?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

Jey grinned and patted Roman on the back. "C'mon, Uce. You're the champ, you gotta have some fun! Plus, you're a single guy now." he insisted. Roman's divorce had recently been finalized, there was truth to him needing some... fun.

Roman thought about it for a moment, and then shrugged far too intoxicated to care. "I guess you're right," he said, a smirk on his face. "Why not? Let's do it."

Jimmy and Jey cheered loudly, semi obnoxiously as they got Roman's phone and got to work setting up his profile.

As the Usos worked on setting up Roman's Tinder profile, they couldn't help but chuckle and snicker at the ridiculous things they were putting on it.

"What about this picture?" Jimmy asked, holding up a photo of Roman posing with both of his titles. "It's gotta be the best one!"

Jey nodded in agreement. "Yeah, and we should put his bio as 'The head of the table is looking for a queen'," he suggested, snickering.

Roman rolled his eyes, but couldn't help but laugh at their antics. "You guys are ridiculous," he said, shaking his head.

Jimmy and Jey just grinned, knowing that Roman was secretly enjoying this. They continued to fill out his profile, adding a few more pictures and even changing his username to "headofthetable_yeet".

Once they were done, they showed Roman the completed profile. "Ta-da!" Jimmy exclaimed, holding up his phone. "You're all set, Uce!"

Roman took the phone and scrolled through the profile, chuckling at some of the ridiculous things they had put on it. "I can't believe I let you guys do this," he said, shaking his head again.

"Man, you're gonna thank us later, uce," Jey said, patting Roman on the back again. "You're gonna get all the ladies with this profile."

Jimmy nodded in agreement. "And if you don't, it'll be hilarious," he added, laughing.

"Don't you two need to get back to Naomi and Rhea?" Roman rolled his eyes once more, but couldn't help but feel a little bit excited. "Alright, alright," he said, setting the phone down. "Let's see what happens."

The three of them continued to drink and chat, their conversation turning to other topics as they waited to see if Roman would get any matches on Tinder.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Iris sat at her computer, looking skeptical as her daughter and sisters fussed over her Tinder profile. "I can't believe I'm letting you guys do this," she said, shaking her head.

Imani grinned mischievously. "Come on, Mom, you need to get out there and have some fun!" with all of the attitude and excitement of any 14 year old convinced she was going to help her mother find Prince Charming.

Iris was a 36 year old lawyer and single mom of two, ever since her daughters dad passed away after being killed in a robbery gone wrong 8 years ago. Her youngest daughter, 9 year old Amira, doesn't even have any memory of her father. Iris has been raising the girls with help only from her little sisters Jacqueline aka Jax who is a 27 year old dancer and Kiley aka Lele who is a 22 year old nursing student. Between her career, kids and crazy ass sisters who insisted on getting together every Friday night to watch wrestling of all things, Iris had no time for relationships.

Kiley nodded in agreement. "You're too young and beautiful to be single," she said, scrolling through the pictures on Iris' phone. "We need to find you a man."

Iris couldn't help but feel a little nervous as she swiped through the profiles on Tinder. She hadn't been on a date in years, and she wasn't sure if she was ready to put herself out there like this.

But as she continued to swipe, something caught her eye. A profile with the username "headofthetable_yeet". The picture was of a muscular man with long hair and a big smile, tattoos and wait a minute... That's Roman Reigns.

"Who the hell uses a wrestler as their icon on a dating profile? Gotta be a scam." Iris said to herself and yet for some reason, she found herself swiping right.

Iris couldn't help but be intrigued by the profile, despite her initial skepticism. She knew that it was unlikely to be the real Roman Reigns, but there was something about him that drew her in.

She continued to scroll through his profile, taking in the bio and the cheesy username. "This is ridiculous," she muttered to herself, shaking her head. Her phone dinged, 'It's a match!'

And then the messages started...
