Linktober day 11 prompt “Nostalgia”. This prompt made me think of how; back when OoT came out on N64 my Dad went out to KB Toys and bought my mom the Bundle with the game and the atomic purple controller for Christmas. My siblings and I would sit for hours watching my mom grind through this game as an avid Zelda lover herself; that was passed down to us as well. Though we would watch her play the NES versions THIS was a whole new magical experience and it started my true love for the franchise ♥♥♥

Riddle me this; It’s all about soul experience. The ephemeral. Some sort of design, and, we must rest assured that no one will truly die alone. There is always that unseen hand that reaches out to walk them home. Always. Know that it is okay to acknowledge that things don’t make sense sometimes. Happy retirement day to my mom! She has been working every day of her adult life. When she was an unmarried woman in India, traveling by local train and scooter to Ahmedabad just so she could work in a pharmaceutical lab (@cadilapharmaceuticals ), when the whole world was telling her to get married. She had a Masters degree but when she came to the USA, she went back to school for another Masters Degree (@morganstateu #HBCU), while bearing and raising children, working full time, and navigating immigrant life in a new country. Over the years she worked in hospitals, long term care facilities, state inspection, and finally as the Chief of Laboratory Services for the US Army (@aberdeen_proving_ground ), until today. My mom showed us that being career oriented did not make you less of a woman/mother/daughter/wife/daughter-in-law/sister/friend. Rather she took all of the lessons she learned through the various components of her life to make each other aspect better. Thank you for instilling the ethic of hard work and determination in me. I hope my career & entrepreneurial endeavors serve to make you proud one day. I hope you’re ready to step into your new role: full-time grandma!
