Got7 scenario - I need this job chapter 6

When you’re desperate for money you find yourself lying about something big so you can get the job.

A/N: Dialogues written in italic indicate that it’s spoken in Korean.

A/N2: New chapter is finally here! Sorry for the long wait, i was figuring out the details and came up with little angst this time. I really hope you’ll enjoy it! Also, I had this idea to give Y/N a Korean name, since the guys will talk to her in Korean and I came up with Wye En-ah from Y(wye or wai)/N(en). I would love to hear your thoughts on this so please write to me!

First week in the dorm flew by unnoticed. You were busy cleaning the huge mess that was piled up  in every possible corner of the house, and the guys were busy preparing for their concert. Which you were thankful for. After awkward and embarrassing encounter with Youngjae in the bathroom, and JB in generally, you avoided all the guys as much as it was possible.

It was inevitable to run into them in the morning, when you were getting ready for university and they were going on practice, but you would just quietly bow your head as sign of greeting, and storm back to your room.

Mark would stop you on the hallway every time he had the chance, asking you how you feel and if you need anything. His little signs of worry were so comforting to you, and you looked forward to every unexpected encounter.

By the end of the week you were drowned from all the duties and assignments you had to finish, so all you wanted was to get back home, snuggle in your bed and have a drama marathon.

As you were making list of all the things you want to watch, unlocking your entrance door, deep in your thoughts, someone on the opposite side pulled the door, making you stumble and fall forward.

Familiar grip around your waist makes you jerk up your head to meet with shy smile, and two half moon eyes.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry" you waver in the person's hold, cursing at yourself for being so clumsy. At least every time you're around him.

"Wye En noona! Annyeong" Youngjae says timidly, his hands still holding you around elbows, making sure you're securely standing on both feet.

"Youngjae!" you exclaim a bit too loud, "Hi! Sorry, I didn't see you there."

"Sorry Wye En, I'm in a hurry!" he says and you just now notice his breath is hitched. 

"We...um... concert tonight! See you after finish" and with that he storms down the stairs, leaving you with a little smile on your face from his adorable attempt to speak English to you. And for that you were thankful. You felt like you're slowly being acknowledged.

Three hours in your drama marathon and you get bored. Sure, dramas are entertaining and laying down with nothing to do is even better, but something seems to bug you since you came back home.

See you after we finish.

"This means they want to see me? We could maybe even share a meal, I can ask them about the concert?" All these thoughts are roaming in your head, and before you know it, you're on your feet, heading to the kitchen.

"What do they like? Something they would all eat? And something that's easy to cook? Something I can't make mistake with!" you talk to yourself while searching around the fridge.

"Why is there nothing edible?!" you think to yourself while scraping all the way to the back of the fridge.

"Right! Because you can't cook Y/N." 

You hear JB's voice in the back of your head, recalling all the feelings from that day. "Don't cook if you don't know how."

"Excuse me mister I'm the leader and I know everything, plus I'm crazy handsome Im Jaebom!" You say, mockingly mimicking his speech while closing the fridge door.

Shoes on, jacket on, money in pocket and you're ready to go. "Meat! They all like meat, right?" you say as you step out of the house.

By the time you come back from the shopping, boys have started their concert. You have plenty of time to prepare everything, so you don't rush, instead, you put extra effort in everything you cook.

Two hours later and you've cooked the rice, prepared the salad, and set the table. Meat is cooking, so now all you have to do is wait for the boys to come back.

Just as you start to get nervous that they won't show up, you hear maknaes shouting as they enter through the door.

"Woow Wye En-ssi!" first thing you see is excited Yugyeom with his eyes wide open, looking at the food on the table.

"OMG Y/N. Is this for us?" Bambam comes after Yugyeom, big smile on his face.

"Heey guys, welcome. This is for you!" you step aside, showing the table behind you, to now all of Got7 in the living room. "Congratulations on your concert!" you say cheerfully, seeing the smiles on their faces which make you feel so better.

"I can't believe you prepared this Y/N. You're amazing!" Jackson says taking his seat, and the rest of the boys follow him, all expressing their gratitude.

"Thank you for doing this Y/N" you hear Mark's soft voice behind you, followed with a light pat on the back of your head.

"Wye En noona, you're the best! We've been starving. Thank you!" Youngjae says with the brightest smile on his face, and it just warms your soul.

"Eat as much as you want, I bought a lot!" you say as you motion for them start eating.

"Wait... Noona? How do you mean that?! Since when are you two so close?" Yugyeom says just before shoving lettuce wrap in his mouth.

"Whaat? I mean... don't you all call her noona?" Youngjae is clearly taken aback, stammering his words and nervously looking around himself.

"That's right! I caught you two in the bathroom the very first day!" Jackson exclaims, pointing his index finger first at you, then at Youngjae, clearly enjoying the situation.

Youngjae drops his chopsticks on the table, choking on the rice in his mouth.

"Enough!" You hear a stern voice behind you. Jaebum. And just now you notice he's still standing, pissed off expression on his face. And now he's gonna take it out on you. You just know it. But you don't know what's he about to say, and oh boy, you don't have even the slightest idea.

"What do you think you're doing?" Jaebum says taking a step closer. "I think I told you clearly not to talk to us. Don't cook for us. Don't even look at us."

With every word, Jaebum approaches you, and his words get louder, more mean and even more hurtful.

"So what are you exactly doing right now? You thought that one dinner will make us friends?! That we're suddenly going to praise you and want to hang out with you?" Jaebum pronounces every word so clearly that it stabs right in your heart, piercing your ears.

"Jaebum-ah, stop!" You register Mark with the corner of your eye, standing up.

"Why stop? It's true though. Plus, not like she understands."

Your whole body twitches at his words, but you don't look away. His gaze is piercing right through you, but you don't look away. He's the one that's being wrong, so why would you have to look away?

"Hyung, you're taking it too far. There's no need to be mean to her."

"Youngjae, shut up. I'm the leader here, and you're all going to listen to me. I know what's best for the group. And I'm not going to let some easy girl jeopardize our team."

"Easy?! Is that what they think of me?" as you repeat these words inside your head, your knees go weak, and you almost lose balance. But you're not going to give up. He's the wrong one, not you, you try to repeat to yourself in order to calm down.

"That's right! You think I didn't see through her? She thought she would seduce us, even maybe blackmail us... Who knows how deep she planned all of this." Jaebum's words keep coming out, all so poisonous and harmful, and you no longer can take it.

Your body starts to tremble, pain of million little needles sticking into your skin is getting more distinct, heat rushing in your cheeks, your mind foggy and vision blurred.

"Jaebum, that's enough! Don't take it out on her just because you're pissed you made mistake on stage." Mark now stands across JB, sternly looking him in the eyes.

"So what's it going to be Y/N? You wanted to get money out of us, or you wanted to get in our beds?" At his last word, your mind goes blank and you snap; unable to control, unwilling to suppress your feelings.

"Don't you dare speak to me like that! Who do you think you are? You think you can go around and look down on me just because you're famous?!" The words burst out of you like water stream that's been under pressure and it's now finally free to flow on its own.

"You think I wanted to come here? You think I had a choice? That living with idols was my ultimate goal in life?!" you scream at JB who's perplexed. His jaw is dropped and eyes wide open, looking at you in disbelief.

All the guys have stopped eating, their mouths too open from shock. But you don't look at them, you don't even see them. All it matters is JB in front of you, and his ugly, cruel words echoing in your ears.

"You don't know the slightest about me, so don't you dare go around and talk about me" you point your index finger towards him, poking him in the chest minatory.

Now that the words have dried up, you finally take a breath and realize what kind of damage has been done. Your secret of knowing Korean is revealed now, and most likely that means you're gonna lose this job. But to be honest, that's the last thing you can think about now. All you need is to get away, run somewhere and hide from them.

Tomorrow. You'll deal with this tomorrow.

You turn your back, shutting the door behind, and run down the stairs. Hot tears are damping your cheeks, blurring your vision and making it hard for you to watch where you're stepping.

But nothing of that matters. Physical pain is nothing compared to the pain you feel inside. And right now, you just need to feel numb.
