Anywaysss I’m so interested in Aidma’s family! All the details seem very well thought out, I love it^^ and I also love how the twins would perceive her. Was there a specific event that led them to form those opinions of her? I am also curious as to how Hiro’s family perceive her considering how close the Tachibana family are to the Brundles? So, how do Kureha and Hiro’s parents feel about Aidma as an addition to the family?

Kajal has two elder siblings and two younger siblings. Fun side note: her eldest sister, the second oldest of the Ayyadurai household, Arundhati, ends up marrying Klaus (it’s an arranged marriage). She works at the ministry and is a prolific mage in her own right. Her eldest sibling Ranga is…definitely a character. He’s also a legendary mage and his powers are linked directly to the sun (quite overpowered frankly), people know him as the “Prince of the Sun”.

I adore exploring Kajal’s relationship with Zeus and Hiro!! The main difference if I keep them separate is that Kajal and Hiro’s relationship is WAYYY more angsty which is honestly really fun to play around with.

Evil Eye is a spell Kajal crafted that not only deflects an opponent’s attack back onto them but additionally allows Kajal to temporarily use the other’s magic and whatever special abilities they might have rendering her opponent magicless. The spell is INSANELY taxing and if she uses it for too long she runs the risk of fatally harming herself.

I really should draw her wings one day!! I’d love to get the design down somewhere but alas it might have to wait a bit😞

Admittedly…Zues doesn’t love it when she pulls strings and she does do it less when she gets with him but at the same time he understands why she does so. Kajal isn’t a malicious, cruel person- he knows that about her and while he doesn’t appreciate her methods 100% of the time, he does understand why she does what she does and admires how far she’s willing to go for those she loves. And yes, he does notice that she at times makes exceptions for him and appreciates that too.

And you’re right!! Yessenia and Kajal were practically raised with each other. In my lore, fae and nymphs typically get along quite well and Kajal and Yessenia’s family have supported each other for centuries. As for Kajal, Mei Ling and Abena- they took a while to get along. See, Mei Ling and Kajal got into arguments quite a lot. Mei Ling is strong-willed, steadfast in her values and she didn’t like Kajal’s tendencies to manipulate situations from afar and yet, Kajal at that point was incredibly stubborn and absolutely refused to change. And while that was happening, Abena was aloof, distant and detached, allowing neither of them too close. However, with time, Mei Ling saw that Kajal’s actions weren’t random and Kajal began to appreciate Mei Ling’s insight and Abena began to connect with the two of them as well. It just took time. Meanwhile, Lynn and Safiya took a while too but became close way faster.

At first, Kajal was stunned. She’d never been caught before and it actually really caught her off guard. She was about to cast a spell to send them off to sleep and then dig into their pasts but Yessenia stops her, quickly explaining the situation to Lynn and Safiya. She met Safiya and Lynn as they stayed in the same dorm ( think of Yessenia as an RA :>> ) and she was one of the student’s who gave them a tour of the academy when they first arrived.

Yeah, I’d say the girls get more mature together. They each teach each other things. For example, Safiya learns how to be more self-confident thanks to Kajal, Lynn learns to open up a bit more thanks to Yessenia, Mei Ling is the voice of reason for the girls- she keeps them mindful and so on. They’re definitely fun to explore, especially since they all bring something so unique to the group, something that affects how the others see the world around them.

The argument between Yessenia and Viggo was about how they got caught😭Viggo and Kajal know of each other, one might even call them friends and it started off w/ him making fun of her by telling her he never thought he’d see the day she gets in trouble for his schemes but then Yessenia (whose already not in a great mood) gets swept up into it and they sit and argue (I think he’d liked how spirited she can be)

As for Hiro and Kajal….they start off absolutely despising each other in their first but eventually but after a whilee they catch feelings and it gets quite messy💀😭

Lynn is soo😭😭 I absolutely love writing her.

I also adore Najlynn’s friend group, they seem like so fun :3 also Najlynn dating Hiro is soo interesting!! I’d love to hear more about what that relationship was like in depth and what it was like after it eneded. I think Adima would make a wonderful head of house Brundle💛✨ I wonder how the twins would react to her return? And how does Najlynn feel about Adima’s relationship with Zeus?

anywaysss im answering a few questions i got from @eye-cri (eeeee bc im so happy to :3)

okie so yes!! safiya is a prefect (she becomes one around the same time as liz (so, after rem) when her friends convince her to try for it. honestly, she kinda is like joel TT. safiya is so fun bc she says whats on her mind and will sometimes manage to do it in the most unbelievably tactless way possible but shes rarely ever intending to be flat out rude. like she just says things sometimes, its great. she, like liz, got an acceptance letter, started off as a provisional student and then got her place at the academy (she and liz pretty much have the same starting tbh, they’re both from villages tho safiya’s family is still very much alive). also she’s pretty good friends with joel, luca, amelia, scarlett and augustus- she and liz get along but they tend to argue from time to time.

also about the boots omg what was i thinking looking back at it, it rly is smthn but honestly its so very safiya in a way i can’t fully articulate rn TT

additionally, i’ve decided i may ship her w/ elias :DD idk just think that’d be a cute pairing-
