I woke up on a couch the night before I was set to leave on the biggest trip of my life to date to find my roommates had left the TV on and this music video was playing.
youtube
It's stuck with me ever since, always bringing back that feeling of waking on the precipice of a grand adventure. The memory so vivid sometimes I feel that if I blink I'll realize I'm still lying on that couch under a TARDIS flannel blanket, my loyal old suitcase Paul nearby on the brown shag carpet ready to roll.

What tarot card are you?
Tumblr media
The Devil Restriction is not so terrible a thing as you think it is. One must not always be shackled to be prudent. You could use a set of handcuffs in your life, my love. Shall I forge them for you? We could be tied together, you and I. Maybe then you would not want for so many things. Maybe if you were drip fed what you wanted, you would only focus on the next drip, instead of the wide world of things there are to want. You consume what you love, you terrify the things you want. You have chewed your way through your life and you are still hungry. The old woman holds out a key. The iron around your wrist is so very heavy.

established relationship lando norris x fem!reader
no use of y/n, as always.
Tumblr media
in which the weekend takes a twist, and all you want is a baby.
prompt⋯ hi! first of all, i absolutely ADORE your writing. i’ve been reading all of your stuff for the past few days!! second, i was scrolling on pinterest and i rediscovered the lando daddy bracelet pic. that combined with THE dutch gp pic made me be down even worse for him. with that i request a fic with an established reader x lando relationship. that’s set during the weekend of the 2024 dutch gp. where he wears the bracelet over the course of the weekend and it gets you(? or me? idk how to phrase that) really worked up, and after he wins they fuck while he’s still wearing it. and it’s like the most rough feral sex known to mankind. but at the end you want him to come in you and he’s like “oh you wanna make me a daddy”. like yes it is a slight breeding kink but it’s more of the idea of the bracelet and how he definitely knew what he was doing when he wore it (in the fic and irl too tbh). that’s the general idea but feel free to put your own spin on it!! i am incredibly down bad for him and that photo did something to me. ty đŸ€—đŸ§Ą
a/n ⋯ yeah tbh i got no excuse for this one chat...like...how could i not resist a breeding kink...i know y'all want it too. but for real--- thank you anon for being patient. i had a lot of fun writing this in between doing work. writing is an escape for me. thank you to all for the continued support, and i'll be continuing to get through asks as time moves along. comment below to be added to my taglist, or comment in general! i love replying to all of them as much as i can.
warnings ⋯ SMUT 18+++!!! minors DNI!!!, language, choking, p in v sex (wrap before you tap!), fingering!(f)receiving, breeding kink, impregnation, teasing, possessiveness, jealousy, creampie, begging, mating press-- allat shit tbh. if i miss a warning, let me know.
wc ⋯ 8.5k (unedited.)
things had begun to be different between you and lando. you couldn’t pinpoint the exact moment when the gears shifted, the stars aligned, though you only cared how good it made you feel with him.
but he knew. he knew exactly when.
you’d been dating lando for two years now. it was two years of pure bliss— the exciting lifestyle that you’ve craved, the love and care, the passion that you shared with him was exquisitely yours. he is yours. and you are his.
that morning in the paddock he was speaking to max, chattering about the post collision from hungaroring. they seemed to make up in due time, finding it easier to call one another “brother’s” again, despite the damages done to their cars and the media in an uproar about their impish, punitive behaviors. you didn’t spare any glance towards the comments made about it, knowing that lando had been in a rough shape that weekend.
you played with penelope, p, as they were talking, squatted on the ground with colored pens in your hand. kelly loomed behind, on her phone, thankful enough that you could occupy her for the time being. you had no issue entertaining her. you loved being around children
most of the time.
“this one?” you held out the red pen for p, as she was pointing to with a bashful look. she was shy– especially around you, given your ethereal, wanderlust nature. you carried yourself in such an elegant way that could facilitate a ray of sunlight through the most tepid storms.
she nodded and you handed it to her. she latched her smaller hand around it, coloring in the rb20 from her sketchbook. your hand fell beneath your chin as you watched her carefully color inside the lines, dreading falling out of it. you smiled as she did, the dress you wore crinkling fashionably around your thighs.
p flashed the page at you nervously, awaiting her input. your eyes glowed, sparkles falling onto the page as you scanned it. she really did do a good job.
“beautiful, p!” you commented, your palm splaying over her upper back. “you’re really good at this, you know?”
a shade of red filled her cheeks, warming her skin. you hadn’t meant to embarrass her, nor make her nervous.
“do you want to color one with me?” you asked her, pointing to the pages in the book. she hesitated for a moment, as if she didn’t hear you properly, but ended up nodding with the same excitement that she did when she’d see max on the podium. “you pick. something
pretty.”
the gears were turning in her head as she flipped through the pages, trying to find the perfect one for you and her to work on. you, on the other hand, were focused on how her brows scrunched together as she furiously searched through her booklet. it was cute the way she perceived things. she was a cutie. it made you think about your own future, what you wanted.
what you wanted,
your eyes drifted from the carpeted floors inside the hospitality room, to the shoes that he wore, and up his black jeans to the papaya livery he sported for the day. you lingered on the expanse of his chest, the tan skin peaking through the v-neck of his unbuttoned collar. your mouth watered instinctively, thinking about how lucky you were to have a man like lando love you so deeply.
as you glanced further up towards his chin, the unshaved rigid surface that sparked electricity over your body, you found him already looking down at you. he wasn’t even paying attention to max at this point, already giving you all of his attention and you didn’t even need to ask.
you gave him a smile, covering your lips afterward to stifle your giggle, and turned back to p once she tapped you that she’d found a picture for the two of you to color.
“mate?”
lando was lost in a daze staring at you. gawking at your figure, the dress you decided to wear. it was a denim colored sheath that you’d twin with alexandra with. she’d wear the gia dress in a pomegranate hue, whereas you took the navy.
lando’s hand was cupped against his chin, rubbing over his stubble, keen on watching how you interacted with p.
your relationship had progressed further than he’s ever gotten to before in his life. he was at a point where he knew he didn’t want anyone else, to explore someone else’s body the way he did yours. he knew you, inside and out, and he didn’t think another connection was even fathomable.
you appeared to be so gentle with her, taking the time to listen to what she wanted you to do, how to color, maneuver the pens. there would be no outside the line coloring on her watch, that was for sure.
he found himself smiling bright.
do you want kids?
he knew that he did. he always knew that. but he’d never broach the subject to you directly. your relationship with him was secure, but was it eligible to be taken to the next level? would you be frightened by his sudden urge to create a life with you? a product of him, and the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen?
“yeah? sorry.” lando looked back towards max. but it was too late, and max was looking over his shoulder towards you and p.
when he looked back towards lando, he threw his hands up in defense. max rolled his eyes. “don’t know why you haven’t proposed to her yet. what’re you waiting for?”
lando bristled. he waited a moment to answer, wondering the same fucking thing. what was he waiting on? the perfect time, perhaps. summer break was rapidly approaching, and he certainly had a ring picked out.
the papaya clad driver pulled out his phone and scrolled through his photos, settled on the right one, and handed it to max. the other driver took it, zooming in, not that he needed to.
“when?”
lando shrugged. “summer break. greece, maybe.”
max cheered, slapping his hand over his mouth in shock. “you’re serious, mate?” lando nodded. max pulled him in for a hug, slapping him over the back. he couldn’t be happier for his best friend in this moment, starting to jump up and down. lando settled him down and slid his phone back into his pocket.
“keep it quiet. i want her to be surprised.”
max made a motion of a lock and key. “surprised about what?”
lando felt giddy.
you hadn’t been paying much attention to what lando nor max were chittering about. you’d been so hyper focused on coloring with p, that you were absent minded of the conversation behind you.
p had picked out a cartoon illustration of max and lando smiling towards the viewer. you’d thought it was an adorable choice, and it showed that p was more aware than what she led on to be. she, of course, started coloring in max. with his neutrally blonde hair, redbull cap, she was fast working.
but then she shoved the book towards you, politely anyways, and pointed at lando, who was yet to be colored in.
“my turn?” she nodded her head, handing you the orange marker.
you grinned, carefully coloring in the lines of the drawing before p took a deep breath. “are you and lando married?”
the question had you freeze momentarily, taken back by her question. “no, p, we’re not.”
you continued to color, whilst she continued to question. “why not?”
“because he hasn’t asked me.”
“why don’t you ask him?”
“i’m not sure that’s what he wants.”
p raised a brow. she looked towards lando and max, giggling together like school girls, then back to you and your focused coloring.
she handed you a brown marker for lando’s curls. “i think you should.”
now it was your turn to be inquisitive, “really, now?”
she nodded her head without hesitating. “then you’d be my aunt!” she giggled.
you colored in lando’s curls, carefully, diligently, thinking of how they felt beneath your fingertips. your breath hitched thinking about the thought of him proposing, wondering if he had ever even thought about it. you knew what your answer would be. it wouldn’t even take a beat of your heart to give him in answer, if he chose to ask. if he chose you.
with one final stripe of a black marker, your drawing of lando had been finished. you stood up, and so did p.
“are you going to have babies?”
“p!” you gasped, mouth dropping. “that’s none of your business, young lady.”
she laughed, twirling around. “what? that’s what mama says happens when you love someone.” confident, wasn’t she? “do you love lando?”
“of course i do, p.”
she gasped.
“is there a baby in there right now?!” she seemed concerned, becoming so bold as to touch your stomach. it was a little higher than where your womb sat beneath your skin, but close enough.
you shook your head. “no, honey. i am not having a baby right now.”
she looked disappointed. taking her hand back, she crossed them over her chest.
“penelope, what are you going on about?” kelly finally chimed in, rubbing p’s back with her hand.
“nothing.”
but it wasn’t nothing.
lando appeared behind you, a hand on your lower back. you leaned into him, recognizing his touch, and you got a brief wave of panic wondering if he heard your conversation with p.
“p,” lando said over your shoulder. she looked up. “do you still have your bracelet making kit?”
she nodded again, though you weren’t quite sure what he’d need it for. you guessed you’d find out eventually, because lando uttered, “it’s a secret, sorry baby.”
and he followed p to her small table, pulling out the kit from her backpack. she had taken lando’s hand to guide him, and you watched fondly.
too fondly, you thought, and knew you were in deep shit.
the morning of the dutch grand prix had you biting at the corners of your fingernails with anticipation. the summer break you had spent with lando was more than you could imagine— filled with delicious foods, sunny weather, morning swims, and of course, the sex. with more free time that lando had, he was utterly obsessed with you. he worshiped the ground you walked on, and it made you feel like more than the queen you deserved to be.
in the paddock you stood, shifting on your feet, anxiously fiddling with your purse once your fingernails sufficed. lily joined at your side, ethereal with her effortless beauty, and she nudged you with her elbow. “you look nervous,” she gave a short laugh.
you scoffed but joined in on her antics. “do i?” you certainly did. lily raised her brows to inquire further of your apparent distress.
relenting, you couldn’t resist her. there was no reason to— you were both practically attached at the hip. ever since oscar had been signed to mclaren, the two of you were inseparable. the famous mclaren WAGs.
your relationship with lando had been going on for two years now. sure, you’d had some rocky slopes to climb with the schedule of his career and the development of your own; that’s the thing about relationships though, isn’t it? that no matter what hill you’d have to climb, you’d find one another on the other side. the two of you wanted to make it work, so there was no obsolete universe in which you’d never find each other.
“he needs this, lils.” you practically sighed, finally gaining the courage to look her in the eye. she looked at you with the same softness that a mother would, or a best friend that you could count on.
“you know he’ll do well.” oh, don’t you know it. lando, whilst on vacation, never took a moment’s worth of rest. he wanted this just as much as you did for him, a second career win. it was all that you could think about the moment you stepped off the plane before him in zandvoort. it was going to happen. you had a feeling.
and a good one at that.
qualifying swept by in a flash. the saturday afternoon was a clean sweep for your boyfriend in the front row. you couldn’t be more proud of him. when he was finished with his interviews and taking his leave with his half removed fireguard, you launched at him.
flinging your arms around his neck, he gripped onto your waist and thighs like his life depended on it. it did. your nose found the sweat against the column of his neck, inhaling deeply. you melted into him.
lando felt the same. with his forehead burrowing into the hair on your scalp, he let out a deep breath that he’d been holding since he got out of the car.
“missed my sweet girl,” he breathed, the sweat and perspiration heating the hairs on your head. you sighed softly, relaxing into him as he held you tighter.
you broke away from him, setting yourself on the ground. you stood happily in front of him, rocking on your heels and playing with the hem of the black, sponser-ridden firesuit.
“‘m so fucking proud, lan. pole? pole on the first race back?” you were in shellshock, overjoyed disbelief.
he raised a hand to cup your face before he’d be whisked away. the bracelet on his wrist caught your eye, one that he must’ve put on once he stepped out of the car. the friendship letter bracelet read loudly to you, it letters all capitalized.
‘daddy’
you gripped his hand, observing the ornament. you raised a brow. is this the bracelet he had made with p?
lando let out a short laugh. “like it?”
you flushed, staring down at the small, dainty thing. it had you shifting on your feet, ideas and fantasies running wild through your pillage of a mind. “maybe.” you hummed, stroking the beads with your index finger.
“wore it for you.”
the statement had you standing up straight. “really now?” lando nodded.
and before he was whisked away, he whispered into your ear, “don’t get any ideas, baby. i know that look.”
you were rendered speechless, and by the time you managed to open your mouth, he had already left through the door.
the following day was race day. you were dressed flawlessly, curating perfection with your outfits to match the same prestige that lando had with his fans. also, you enjoyed feeling pretty. looking pretty, as lando would often say to you. he didn’t forget this morning either, arriving to the paddock with you in tow, hand wrapped tightly with yours.
as he took selfie after selfie, signed hat after hat, he didn’t forget to remind you, “you look beautiful,” that always brought a smile to your face, a blush fanning your cheeks.
when the two of you made it inside of mclaren’s hospitality, you were greeted by both lily and oscar. you gave her a warming hug, and she returned it with the same affirmation. when you separated, she danced on her tip-toes. lando and oscar side stepped toward the tea and coffee station, chatting amongst themselves.
“wow!” you were confused, raising a brow. “front row for him, hmm? told you, had nothing to worry about.”
you rolled your eyes, still holding anxieties for the race. you were always concerned going into a weekend. no matter how many grand prix’s you’ve attended, seen lando come out safe and sound, you still picked at the skin of your fingertips. anxious habits die hard.
lando’s managers came in alongside oscar’s beckoning both mclaren drivers to follow them to get ready for the race. lando found you instantly, his hands finding the handles on your hips, squeezing inward. you tensed at the action, wondering what had him on such edge.
you spun, hands running from his chest up to his neck, his cheeks. you cupped his face in your hands, sheepishly smiling.
“you’ll win this for me?”
he scoffed, “always.”
you smiled harder—if that was possible— and connected your lips with his. he returned your kiss, diving deep into your mouth. he held you close by your lower back, as if this was the last time that he’d ever kiss you. he sought to deepen your kiss by the clacking of your teeth, his tongue incessantly searching the inside of your mouth.
you separated yourself, still holding onto his cheeks. lando dipped his forehead against yours, seeking another kiss, but you pulled away. “go. they’re waiting for you.”
“don’t care.”
you flushed, allowing him one last peck before you patted his cheek. “seriously. go.”
he chuckled to himself, kissing the top of your head, uttering a soft “i love you,” before being swept away.
“i love you too.” you mouthed, returning your attention back to lily. she was in awe of how you and lando behaved, carving such a rugged, playful boy into a man of posture and mannerisms that were only reflected by your good nature.
“what?”
“nothing
” she looked away.
“lily.”
“you’ve got that man on a leash,” she broke into a fit of giggles. you looked back to where they were walking out. lando had been looking for you, then at you. he gave a wave, you returned it, then looked back at lily.
“i prefer the term ‘free-roaming.’”
the race was coming to an end with a single lap left. lando led the race with a twenty-two second lead, and your hands were clasped tightly together with your headset on. you listened carefully to his radio messages, sassy and revving, and had your eyes locked onto the screen in front of you. with lily by your side, the two of you were anxiously awaiting the end.
your face suddenly appeared on screen, displaying your glistening eyes, perfectly done makeup and hair. a chic smile grew on your cheeks. you turned towards the camera man and allotted a small wave. your name appeared under the screen, lando norris’ partner.
god

was there anything more prideful than that?
surely there was, but it didn’t matter to you. you were there to support your boyfriend, lando, your lando, and it was more than enough to see that you were recognized as that.
the checkered flag appeared and lando was on the headline for crossing. you had to clutch your heart, hoping to grip it from the inside out to slow its beating, and it didn’t cease when his mcl38 zipped past the flag.
there was an eruption of cheers throughout the garage and you were swarmed with love by the fellow mechanics and lily, too, who was happy for you to witness such a grand victory. a more than well earned victory.
a second one in the books for him. you couldn’t have been happier.
the podium gathering didn’t take long, and you managed to be at the front of the barricade, shoved forward by the team. you stood there, graceful and beautiful as he always saw you, and you were the loudest to clap and cheer as he walked out from the cool down room.
“your winner, lando norris
!” and you couldn’t help the tears that fell down your cheeks, the camera picking up your emotional feedback on the big screen. his eyes caught to it from the bannister, stepping up onto the tallest podium, and found you right at the front. his heart melted, dripped a red hot flame that burned for you. to see you there for him, emotional above all, solidified his feelings. what he wanted in his future.
you. you above anything else. you above racing, his career, his everything. he had nothing if you weren’t by his side.
he took off his pirelli hat and let the national anthem play. the camera panned away from you then to zak brown. you swayed gently to the anthem, lost in your own world of loving him. you saw him through clear glasses, though he was always your rose. there was nothing more that you wanted in the future than to be with him. you and lando.
after his attributed champagne pop, the crowd dissipated from the pit lane and you engaged in conversations with different women, friends, and coworkers of mclaren. you were jovial with your presence, engaged as much as you could be, though your thoughts kept tracing back to him. lando, lando, lando.
you ended your evening in conversations with the ferrari women— alexandra, rebecca, and one of charles’ friends, marta. you’re a recent acquaintance, meeting her only just a few moments ago. she was noticeably pregnant, and you wondered if that was just the recurring theme of the day.
“how far along are you?” rebecca chimed in.
“about twenty weeks, i think.” she smiled, holding her bump and leaning back into one of her heels to get a more comfortable angle.
“half way there! are you excited?” you asked her, sipping your sparkling water.
“of course,” she grimaced, though there was joy behind her eyes. “it can be hard, but it’s worth it. always worth it to see my husband with my daughter, and now it’ll be brand new with this babe.”
you gave her a heart-warming smile.
“they kick every so often—” she grimaced again, reeling her face into a tight knot. “like right now. do you want to feel?” she was looking at you. it took you a second to understand that she was referring to you, but you jumped at the opportunity.
“are you sure
?”
marta nodded. “put your hand here,” she placed your hand on her right side. you waited a moment before there was a small lurch beneath your palm. you looked up at her in pure disbelief, marveled by such a feeling. you wondered what it’d feel like to feel your own baby kick.
“so
” alexandra leered mischievously, “do you plan on having children? with lando?”
is everyone asking that today?
you stood up straight, embarrassed by the question, and brushed a piece of your hair behind your ear. “for sure. there’s no one else i want. whenever the time is right.”
“he’d be such a good dad.” alexandra added, and you couldn’t agree more.
“you should’ve seen him earlier with penelope—” the girls were reeling at your story. “making bracelets with her. almost tripped over my own dress,” you covered your mouth to laugh, attempting to keep your voice down.
“someone has baby fever.” marta commented.
“ugh,” rebecca groaned. “you two are picturesque. alex and i were just talking about it.”
“oh?” you wished to know more by their insinuation. it wasn’t often that you listened to anything about you or lando’s relationship. half of the time it was negative comments from fans across social media, and you didn’t want the other half to get to your head. you knew you were lucky as is, the least you could do was stay humble.
“ohhhh most definitely.” alexandra nodded. “you’ve been together for what— ever? we’re waiting for an engagement post.”
you were floored. it has been a good amount of time. “so am i,” it came as a laugh. you wondered if lando thought about it. if the thought ever crossed his mind— the possibility of you becoming his wife.
it did.
he was watching you. he’d been done with his interviews for a good ten minutes now, but he was gripped by the scene unfolding before him. he had distracted himself by glancing at his phone, pretending to be scrolling through notifications. but he was staring. hard.
your hand was so tender-loving as it grazed marta’s baby bump. you looked up at her with a graceful smile, asking her important questions about her pregnancy. why were you so interested?
fuck, he hoped the answer he wanted was what you were thinking.
you, pregnant in your floral dresses, pleated gowns, traipsing around the halls of your joint home. barefoot, glowing, effervescent. he could see it now. the vision coming to life, coming to fruition from just a mere fantasy. he felt his dick twitch in his pants, his groin running hot.
he overheard the conversation, too.
“do you plan on having children? with lando?”
for sure. there’s no one else i’d want.
fuuuuck. lando had to turn around, attempting to calm himself down. his entire body was aflame, an eternal gloss of bliss for wanting you. needing you. he needed to feel you. your touch. your skin beneath him, the way you curl effortlessly against the shape of his body.
yeah, he’s fucked.
after a few calming deep breaths, he was at least presentable. with his calmed down cock, he immediately made a beeline in your direction. he wanted—no, needed to get his hands around you as soon as possible. it was a world-ending feeling that suffocated him, gripped him by the throat.
you heard him approach before you saw him. lando’s hands were warm around your hips as he pulled you close. you felt the outline of his cock in his pants as he jut his hips forward. you turned your head over your shoulder, glancing up at him.
his nose found a home in the curve of your neck. you giggled when you felt his stubble tickle your skin, a hand coming instinctively to hold the side of his face tight against your skin. he breathed soundly against you, finding eternal peace of mind plastered against your body.
“it was nice seeing you alex, rebecca.” you began to bid your farewells. “marta, it was a pleasure to meet you.” marta leaned in for a hug, which pulled you away from the warmth of lando’s body. you felt like a snail ripped from its shell— hollow, cold.
“the same for you,” pregnancy looked good on her. though, you can’t recall the last time you’ve seen her without a baby blooming inside her. “if you ever need advice
alex has my number.”
you blushed, feeling lando’s hand around your lower belly tense. “thank you. i’ll be in touch.” you glance towards rebecca and alexandra, following lando’s pace back to the car.
lando’s eyes were hot as they drilled holes into the side of your head. you could feel it, though you weren’t even looking at him. “i can feel your urge to talk, lan.”
he laughed, holding your hand tight in his. “no. no, it’s nothing.”
you stopped dead in your tracks, pulling your hand from his, crossing your arms over your chest.
“okay, okay,” he apologized, taking your hand back into his own, bringing it to his lips to kiss. his lips were warm and wet against your skin. your breath hitched.
“well, go on, then.”
“this is the congratulations i get? damn, baby, you’re rugged.”
you shoved his face away, beginning to walk back to the car once more. “you know i’m proud. don’t be silly, now.”
“i know, i know,” there was a brief silence. “you can show me in other ways.”
“lando!” you gasped, and he broke into a fit of laughter. “dirty bastard.” you mumbled.
“what was that, baby?”
“nothing. nothing. just like what you wanted to tell me, i guess.” two can play at this game. you heard him scoff, but ultimately relent.
“alright, alright. i just
” he became shy with the tone of his voice. you could recognize it instantly. “heard your conversation with the girls, is all.”
you attempted your best effort to still your facial expressions from annoyance, shock, embarrassment, and all of the fucking above.
 “you heard
all of it?”
“the gist.”
you tried to cover your face to shield yourself from the world. god, that was your fucking nightmare. you hadn’t ever even touched upon a subject like that with him before. and now he had heard it from you talking to your girlfriends? oh, you just felt like the worst girlfriend in the world right now.
“fuck. i didn’t mean to—”
“no, baby,” he opened the car door for you to slip into the passenger seat. you stepped in, gripping his forearm to sit down.
when he climbed in himself and turned over the engine, you shifted to face him. before you could even open your mouth to speak, he cut you off.
“i want kids, too, you know. with you.”
“oh.” a weight lifted from your shoulders in that moment, and then you felt utterly stupid for thinking that he would’ve reacted badly. this is your lando you’re talking to. a man you can share anything with. “you do?”
he looked flabbergasted. “you’re joking, right?”
you shot your hands up in defense. “i don’t know! children aren’t exactly
temporary. i just— i didn’t know if you thought of me—”
“you’re permanent, love.” his hand wrapped around your thigh as he pulled out of the driver’s lot, whipping past the fans that were keen on snapping a picture of him.
though you’ve known that, deep down, it still hit you like the first time he told you that he loved you. a jaw-dropping epiphany that had been right in front of you the whole time. you’d been short-sighted, enjoying every moment that you had with him, and had become unknowing about the future you’ve been perpetuating with him.
you covered his hand with your own, playing with the bracelets around his wrist. the charm bracelet ‘daddy’ dangled between your fingers, rolling the beads over and over again.
“you’d make a good daddy, wouldn’t you?” you said the words under your breath, but even he could hear them like you’d shouted them in his face. he tightened his grip around your thigh.
“don’t say things like that,” he shook his head, eyes locked on the road ahead.
the air became heavy between you two. when wasn’t it? not only did passion run through your veins, but heinous desire breathed life to your souls.
“why?” you stroked the top of his hand with your nails. “you heard what i said to the girls.” his head lolled against the back rest. “what’s different now?”
you felt the car accelerate. it vibrated the cushion you were nestled atop of, sending shockwaves through your cunt.
“driving me fucking nuts, darling.”
you knew you were. it was the secret to your relationship— the two of you understanding what made you tick. seethe with lust until there was no other option for you to climb him like a tree.
it didn’t take long before he reached the hotel, pulling up to the front. you were getting your things to get up, but he was lost on his phone, pretending to be busy. “coming?” you asked.
“pfft—” you could see him roll his eyes through the rearview mirror. “i wish. give me a second.” you couldn’t help but huff to yourself under your breath, stepping out of the car with your heels clinking to the ground.
with your purse over your shoulder you stepped up onto the curb, but was distracted by a small voice echoing over your shoulder.
down the sidewalk was a mother and a stroller. you smirked lowly, taking only the few steps it’d take to reach the mother and child.
“oh my gosh,” you squealed. the mother was taken back, but by your demeanor and eyes on her baby, she returned a smile. by her pink bonnet and bunny swath, you knew she was the cutest thing you’d ever laid eyes on. “she is just the cutest thing!”
“thank you,” the woman said.
“she looks just like her mama,” you heard lando’s car door open, most definitely within earshot. “don’t you, sweet thing? yes you do!” you cooed at the baby, who erupted in a fit of louder giggles and mumbles.
the mother was flushed, but happy. “you’re too kind. you’re good with children? do you have any of your own?”
jackpot..!!
you clutched your purse as you stood up straight. you played into your theatrics, “oh gosh, i wish! my husband and i have been trying for ages, but he’s just so busy with work
”
the woman tsked with disappointment for you. “you’d make a beautiful mother,”
“you think so?”
she nodded her affirmation.
“that’s so sweet of you.” you were really milking this scene, especially that you knew lando was listening.
“is that your husband there?” she pointed to over your shoulder. and there he was, your husband, watching the two of you from behind the ajar car door.
“mmm, yes, it is.” you offered a cordial wave to him. he stuck two fingers up for a lazy wave, waiting for you to return to him. “i should go. it was a pleasure, ma’am. your baby is adorable.”
she nodded a thanks, and you took your sweet time walking back to the car. you could hear lando tapping the windshield incessantly. before his head dipped down back into the car he called, “get back in.”
you
admit, you were confused. brows furrowed, you opened the passenger side door and bent down, “why—?”
“get in the car,” your name was a rumble in his chest. you still didn’t know what he was doing nor going, and your stubborn self wouldn’t settle for a verbal answer.
you took too long for him. gripping your arm, he pulled you into the passenger seat, and you landed on your ass with a ‘thump’.
he fired up the engine again and pulled out of the traffic circle of the hotel. he radiated with heat— you could feel it from where you sat. “where are we going?”
he didn’t answer you.
you crossed your arms and legs, looking out the window. the area was unknown to you, but lando always seemed like he knew where he was going.
it took only a minute for him to pull into an empty level of a parking garage, dimly lit with only one overhead light at the entrance of the ramp. he put the car in park.
“what are we—”
you couldn’t finish your sentence until you were on his lap, hands gripping your waist so tightly that you had to gasp for air.
“husband?”
oh
oh
!
well, this was a change you welcomed with open arms.
he lowered the seat back until you were straddled atop of him, fingers aimlessly toiling with the zipper of his jeans.
“don’t know what you’re—”
he snapped upward, gripping your chin between his forefinger and thumb. “baby,” he breathed, and you shivered. “what do you want?”
your hips naturally moved back and forth against his own, dress hiked well above your stomach. his hand snaked between your legs, feeling the wet patch in your underwear. he hummed when you didn’t reply, flicking his finger upward to graze your clit.
you mewled.
“what was that?”
your hand twisted around the hem of his shirt. you were already breathless, clenching around nothing except the sound of his words.
“tell me,” he muttered, staring up at your disheveled state. he made quick work of sliding your panties to the side, massaging the folds of your cunt between his fingers. you continued your writhing against him.
“want you,” was what you managed to breathe out, hips rutting against his palm. he tsked, but allowed you this moment. a moment for him to bask in the way that you move your hips, writhe against his clothed cock that was egregiously hardening by the second and each amount of pressure you applied.
he slid his fingers in and out of you with ultra maneuvering, in and out, all around. he was a mastermind when it came to feeling you up, exploring you both on the outside, and the in. you were in heaven, ultimately, when he curled his fingers so deeply upon thrusting them. your cunt tightened so viciously around him that he groaned, his head falling back and his hardened cock thrusting upward. to no avail, his dick was strained against the cloth of his pants.
“fuck,” he cussed, curling his fingers over and over again. your body began to shiver, and only began to fall from grace when his thumb traced against your clit. stimulation grew hotter and hotter, until you let out a piercing moan from the depths of your throat. he angled his fingers differently, making you squirm.
“lando!” you breathed, feeling your climax creeping up on you faster than you could even blink. your core tightened, a coil of veracious flames churning around each other manifesting a slew of energy that released sparks from your nerves. your folds were inflamed, puffy, beating hot that you couldn’t think straight. lando was touching you with his other hand anywhere that he could reach. he palmed your breasts through your dress, twisted a nipple to earn a delicious squeal.
“come on, sweet thing,” he encouraged you with that stupid lopsided smile of his, you were looking down on him, sweat beading at his forehead, pupils blown dark and wide. his hand that was groping your breast moved upward, threading around the column of your throat. “show daddy what you’re made of.”
his hand tightened, and you felt the coil snap. he continued to pump his fingers in and out, maneuvering so perfectly, hitting that exact spot with precision.
he knew you came when your eyes rolled back into your head, legs quivering around his waist. god, you’re a sexy thing.
his hand loosened from around your neck, dropping to your chest, fiddling with the van cleef necklace he had gifted you. it reeked of possession, marking you as his with the “l.n.” initials engraved on the back of the golden surface.
the moment of bliss passed before he was pulling the zipped down from your dress and throwing it from over your head. your panties were next, though the fabric was thin as is. there you were, bare and glistening, before your so-called ‘husband’ as you had worded it. he wouldn’t forget it, a spark igniting within him that was lit by the phrase leaving your tongue. he didn’t think that it would affect him so much—
but it did.
he made quick work of his own pants, shoving them down to his knees beneath you, breathless and needy.
you gripped the hem of his shirt. he lifted his arms to hasten the process, and the shirt went to the back seat. with his skin exposed, you couldn’t help but run your hands along his tan, toned chest. it made you dripping wet, though he was barely touching you now.
with your skin atop of his, carnage was sure to ensue. he took a drag of his fingers against your wet cunt and brought it to his lips. he sucked on them, releasing with a ‘pop.’ your mouth hung open in anticipation for what he was going to do next. he always kept you on your toes.
but this
this is not what you expected.
he took a ring from his index finger, plated in silver, and slid it onto your ring finger on your left hand. the wedding finger.
it stuck to your sweaty palm, sure enough to not slip off.
“let’s make it official then, pretty girl.”
you sat upon him astonished, looking down at the adornment that he had given to you. it dazzled on your finger.
“if you’re my wife, what does that make me?”
the words trembled from your lips, thighs tightening around his own. you could feel his dick sprung to life against your backside. “my husband.”
“good, baby, you learn fast.”
you gulped, finally taking a look at him from his propped upright position. he was downright smitten with you, guzzling everything about you inside of him. you were his, so much fucking so, that he was going to ruin you. and he didn’t even feel bad for wanting it.
“my husband
” you repeated, lowering your face down to meet his own. he smelled so good—a mix of sweat and his cologne.
his hand tangled into your hair, creating a makeshift ponytail to meet your eye level.
“makes me fucking crazy when y’say it
”
you knew that was the truth. you’d known the minute you sat down in the car. his demeanor had changed, shifted to something darker that you didn’t quite understand. it was insane enough as is that you’d discovered so many things about him within a short period of time.
“husband, daddy
what’s the difference?” you cooed, kissing up and down his neck. he groaned, landing a smack on your ass that had you giggling.
“‘ll just make you a mommy if you keep throwin’ that word ‘round.”
you grinned ear to ear. against his cheek, you took a deep breath in, before letting go.
“daddy.”
if you’ve ever made a good decision in your life, this has to be the best. a switch flipped. gears started to turn in his head. the spark plug burst into flames.
you were his undoer,
the key to his shackled restraint,
the sun to his universe.
it was always you. you’d been right in front of him for the past two years. two years to get to this point. two years for the woman he loved most in this world to be sucking his neck whispering ‘daddy’ into his ear.
lando sat upright in the seat. with a hand at the back of your head, he forced eye contact with you. this was different. this look. you could feel it in your heart, your folds, as they began to beat synchronously. life with him was euphoria, and sex had been the serendipitous release for both of you.
but seeking the future together?
heaven incarnate.
despite being locked inside such a tight space, lando managed to swap your position with a suave move. you were on your back, shocked by his carnal rampage, as he hooked your legs upward. your toes scathed the ceiling of the car, pressed deep into the metal chassis.
“kiss me,” you demanded with the breath that you could take. he didn’t waste a second, leaning down to your lips and capturing you with the most breathtaking press that he could muster. his tongue and your own fought for dominance over one another; you lost, quickly, unable to match his revered pace.
he wanted to eat you from top to bottom. devour your insides, carry you with him every day of his life. you would be his, one way or another, and he didn’t care how it was.
lucky enough, you were more than willing to be his bride, his lover, his person.
because he was yours.
then he was inside of you. braving the treachery of your tight walls, he hissed when the tip of his cock slipped through your folds. you’d been dripping on the leather seat.
“fuck, baby
” his head fell to the crevice of your neck and collarbone.
“oh my goddd
” the moan you both let out was terribly lewd, grotesque, even, with how he didn’t start a pace. you both savored this sweet moment of lust, passion, and a figurative toast to a lifelong commitment to fucking one another.
with each thrust he took, he aimed to make a statement. deeper and deeper he penetrated you, his cock crafted of divine measure with how he quartered your g-spot.
you could never stay still beneath him. it had him on edge the way you squirmed. dare say it was one of the most favorite things about you, though the list would be never-ending. you shiver from pleasure, leaning into him as your cunt squelches beneath you.
echoes of moans bounce off the interior of the car, whilst a smile of greed and possession conceives on his own cheeks. the angle he has you at is deeper than any that you’ve had before— it left no room for noncommittal nature, no room for you to complain about wanting him closer, more, more, more.
“y’feel me here?” his hand rest on your lower belly, your womb, as he applied pressure. you do feel him there. the indent of his cock is poignant, bulging out from the skin.
“mhm
!” you whine, trying to keep your mouth shut from the onslaught of moans pouring out.
his attention turned to your tits as he swallowed a nipple whole with his tongue, sucking feverishly at the sensitive bud. it had you weak, dribbling to puddy.
he could only think about how you’d look pregnant. swollen tits, round belly, glowing with his child.
“this what you wanted?” he grunted, his pace quickening. you were too dumb to speak, a droplet of drool leaking from your mouth. “hm? fuck you—fuck, fill you up?”
your back arched at the sentence, not knowing that his words could have such an arousing effect on you. this arousal was different. the way you clench around him was different. your actions spoke a lot louder than your words.
“yeah? i can feel you, darling.” sounds of skin slapping and your hoarse voice could only be heard. he fucked you so good, treated you even better. fuck it, you’d rather be pregnant than anything else.
“please, please
” you didn’t know what you were pleading for, in truth— he was already fucking you like he’d been in a rut.
“yeah? that what you want? want a baby?”
your head nodded furiously up and down, tears of pleasure streaming down your cheeks. lando bent down to kiss them away, followed by a capturing of your lips. he swallowed your breaths, your moans. he trailed kisses down the column of your throat; your collarbones, breasts, nipples, nothing went untouched by his mouth.
“god
these
” he muttered against your tits, voice sending shockwaves through your body. “imagine how big they’d be.” he managed to chuckle to himself. “swollen and beautiful,” he kissed the top of your abdomen.
“lando
”
his head shot up from his daze.
“the time is right. please, please—” your words seemed to hit him like a truck. the foreplay had turned reality, and he was more than ready to lurch into fate.
“what, pretty girl?”
your face flushed, biting your lip. “give me a baby, need it—lan, need it so bad.” your hand found the back of his neck, tugging on the strands of his hair.
he tsked, his pace evening out to a level throttle. your lips formed a sweet pout, and he stroked your chin with his index finger. “give you?” he mocked. “oh, don’t think that’s how we ask, do we?”
“lan
please, please, can i have your baby? need it so bad lando, need it
” you swallowed your breath. “daddy
wanna make you a daddy
please.”
it was more than enough for him. “atta girl.” he grunted, deepening his lackluster thrusts into thrilling rides on his cock. “y’learn fast
kids ‘r gonna be so smart.”
“yes, yes! so good, lan.” you heaved, the heat in your cunt finding a boiling point, and he felt it by how tight you became around him.
“go on, baby, take it. be a good girl and take it all.” you’d do anything to hear your lando call you a good girl. it had been more than enough to send you over the edge into a spiraling orgasm that had slick seeping around his cock. your vision whitened, and you could only see the shadow of your ‘husband’ through the light.
with sloppy thrusts, lando came with ease. he didn’t pull out urgently, letting his cum soak inside of you. he peppered kisses along your ankles, your calves, and let them fall to the seat.
out of breath, your chests rose and fell at a rapid pace. lando’s forehead connected with your own, and through the haze of post-sex, he smiled at you.
you smiled back. the two of you broke into a laugh.
“fuckin’ knew that was gonna happen today.” he commented lazily into your chest. a hand of yours threaded through his brown curls.
“your mastermind plan to babytrap me.”
he raised a brow. “did you plan on leaving?”
you gave him a knowing look. “not in the slightest.”
he became embarrassed and sheepish as he hid his face into your ribs. “no chance of it, now.”
you chuckled, flexing your fingers to see the ring still there. “i want a real proposal, by the way.”
his head shot up. “what? this wasn’t good enough?”
you palmed his face with one hand, and tugged the back of his curled head with the other. “bastard.”
it only took you two ten minutes to get your clothes back on from such a leisurely excursion from the empty parking garage. covered in his spit, sweat, and cum, you didn’t feel
.dirty.
when he finally pulled up to the valet and opened the door for you, you stepped out as graciously as possible. though your hair was a tangled mess— you tried your best. lucky enough it was late enough to where minimal paparazzi were gathered. thank god.
you shifted on your feet, shimmying the dress down, but lando came to your rescue. he pulled the dress down where it was crumpled at the back, caught between the hem of your soaked underwear.
“that was a rental, wasn’t it?” you pointed out, looking over your shoulder.
“they should auction it.”
you spun around and laughed in his face, gagged by the ego he has. “you have a big head.”
“need all that room for you.”
“cheesy.”
lando’s eyes lit up— though exhausted from the day and your antics, the sun still rose for him— “almost forgot—” he reached into his pocket whilst you waited patiently.
he pulled out a bracelet.
a friendship bracelet.
“thought it suited you.” he put it around your wrist, and you analyzed it clearly. in white, capitalized letters it read:
“MOMMY”
“you really had this thing planned.” you were impressed.
he shifted on his heels, throwing his hands up as if saying ‘what can i say?’ “p thinks you’re pregnant now.”
you gasped. “lando!”
“i mean
hopefully.” he winked as you fiddled with the jewelry, still not bothering to take off the ring from your finger.
“well
” you brought a finger to your lips, thinking, “we have to be certain, don’t we?”
lando was catching your drift as you walked backwards towards the entrance of the hotel, luring him in with your charisma. “perhaps
”
“so
we need to try again.” he wasn’t going to argue with that. “and again.” or that. “and again, for good measure.”
“you’re gonna kill me, baby.” he whined, chasing you up the steps. you squealed, running forward. inside the elevator you two went, clicking the floor for your room.
after further inspection, lando’s brows furrowed after he glanced over you. “what?”
he covered his mouth to shield his devious smile.
“what, lando?”
he coughed to hide his amusement, but it was a very bad act. “you’re
”
“what?”
“you’re dripping.”
you looked down at your thighs and saw the glistening reflection of his cum seeping out of you. fuck. maybe the first time was the charm, but you hoped it wasn’t.
you really hoped it wasn’t.

Hey, sorry if you’ve been asked this before, but I have ADHD and I’ve been following your comic for years and just now have started to write my own comic (partially because you really inspired me). But I’m really struggling with staying on the project even when it’s boring and getting myself to work on it in the first place. Do you have any tips on how to keep your brain invested or just to make yourself do the work at all?
I have excellent news, I literally just figured out something really important about this.
So when you're an ADHD kiddo or otherwise have difficulty staying on task in a structured environment where Task is the Priority, the main way people try to MAKE you stay on task is by removing your access to anything that is not The Task. No phone, no TV, no doodling, no going outside, etc. In practice, this just makes us miserable because it takes the boredom that's always simmering around a 2 or 3 and cranks it all the way up to 11. In the same way that you would have difficulty staying on task if you were in physical pain, this crushing existential monotony makes it very difficult to work. The work might get done simply because you have no other options, but it will not be done quickly or well, and it will take a while to recover from how much it hurt.
What I realized earlier this week is I caught myself doing this to myself. I had 42 pages of background colors to do, and I thought to myself "this sounds really tedious, but I suppose I have nothing better I can do." And I realized what I'd just thought, and got very alarmed.
Because back when I was an ADHD kiddo imprisoned by school scheduling and a million little factors that keep children immobile and restrained, I couldn't stop thinking about how big and exciting the world was, and how much I wanted to be anywhere but here. When I was feeling really crushed in I'd pick a random spot on the maps on my wall and just imagine being there instead of my bedroom. This was the impetus behind almost all of my creative energy. I've said it before - anything is a prison if you can't leave, and being in a prison makes it easy to imagine how amazing things could be outside of it. Aurora's initial worldbuilding was forged in the crucible of fifth grade misery. My enthusiasm for art and my creative drive are inextricable from my sense of wonder and yearning for excitement in the real world. Not escapism, but appreciation. Wonders unimaginable are out there, and I gain just as much joy seeking them out as I do conjuring them up in my head and sharing them with all of you.
So now that I'm a grown-up with actual freedom in every way I've been able to get, the idea that I was staying on task by making myself believe the world was small and not worth seeing was extremely alarming. It could keep me on task for an afternoon, but at the cost of slowly extinguishing the thing that made me want to make art in the first place - the hunger to experience and draw inspiration from all the myriad complexities in the world.
So what I've been doing is I've been purposefully and intentionally taking excursions whenever I catch myself thinking "I could take a break but it wouldn't be worth it, it's the same outdoors as always, I'll be uncomfy and unproductive and tired." Because that is never true. Every time I've put down the stylus and gone out, I've been renewed in one way or another, and when I come back to comfort fully recharged I get a lot of shit done. Because it is easier to work on anything if you remember why you wanted to make it in the first place, and it is self-defeating misery to just lock yourself in with it and tell yourself you're a bad person if you can't get it done.
I honestly don't know how widely applicable this is. I have worse wanderlust than anyone I know, so for me this has always been modeled as imprisonment vs freedom. I've also been extremely lucky to find myself in a profession that lets me set my own pace on literally everything I do. But I genuinely believe that when it comes to making art with ADHD, you need to give yourself freedom to move laterally, not just in the direction of obvious forward progress. We don't think linearly in any other part of our lives - art is no different.

DCxDP: Travel Buddy
"I already told you I'm not going to another country! I'm going to New Mexico!" The shout echoes with frustration across the airport. Dick looks up from his phone to where a man is arguing with a woman behind a counter. She has a pinched grimace on her face, an expression only those who have worked in customer service are familiar with.
It's the look of someone who dances on the line of "I don't need to up with this bullshit. I don't need this job" and "Think of your bills, think of your check, stay calm."
There is a long line behind him, where everyone is making faces at the delay.
Dick often preferred to travel with Justice League tech, as nothing beat the speed of instant teleportation, but he needed to have some records of traveling the normal for his civilian identity. It would be suspicious if he was seen worldwide with no signs of how he got there.
It was a necessary evil to have his loveable wanderlust persona that was Dick Grayson-Wayne. He had taken a few aspects of Brucie Wayne but replaced the playboy reputation with a restlessness that couldn't stand being in one place for too long.
Growing up with people constantly pointing out how attractive he was, which would have been fine were it not for the rich old men and women who leered at him through his teen years. He could not stomach being a playboy, allowing those who objectified him to think he enjoyed their attention.
It was easier to be the easily distracted, pretty son who was always away from home instead. It helped that Bruce had plenty of private jets to gift his son for whatever whimsy urge to move hit him. That was why he was in Illinois today.
Dick's jet had needed to stop for some fuel, and like most commercial airlines, they were told that they needed to wait before heading up again. They may have enough money to afford their own planes, but commercial planes have the right of way.
Then a storm was reported at Gotham Airlines, and his pilot told Dick they were grounded until it cleared up. It could be a delay of six hours.
Dick didn't mind, having told his staff to take a break. If it got too bad, he would buy everyone a hotel room to try again tomorrow. His private jet staff seemed stunned by the offer, insisting they could wait to see if it was clear enough to fly in a few hours.
He had decided he wanted to have some crappy airport snacks, as it was part of the experience, and walked around the airport munching on his chocolate donut. He found a little booth selling local coffee, prompting him to find a seat near the welcome counter and scroll through his phone.
He still had three hours to kill, so he considered exploring the area a little. I suggest finding some hotels just in case. There was little in this place. The closest city was Amity Park, but it was only beside the mall and a decent burger joint; there was little to do.
It was one of those small towns that, despite not having many people, was well spread out due to all the open spaces. The people who lived there either raised a family, retired or had bloodlines traced generations back to the town's founding.
"Sir, as I stated before, you need a passport, and you have to pay for an international ticket to go to Mexico," The woman hissed. Some people in line began muttering about how annoying the man was for arguing.
"All I have is my driver's license. I could go home for my passport. That's no issue, but I am not paying for an international ticket to Mexico when I am not going there! I'm staying in the US! New Mexico is a state!" the man shouts, flailing his long black trenchcoat. It makes the black ponytail swing side to side as he leans on the counter. "How do you work in travel and not know that!?"
"What is going on here?" A man demands, stepping beside the gumming woman. Dick can tell he is the manager just by the way his uniform looks different.
"This man is refusing to listen." The counter lady practically spits and is now leaning well over the "I don't need this job" side of the customer service line. Dick finds himself standing up as the manager gets a quick rundown of the problem.
The crowd was getting impatient, even with the two other representatives slowly calling up the next customer. Curious by the outcome, Dick drifts closer, listening to the man explain that he wants to go to New Mexico to study the enormous reports of violent paranormal sightings.
He was apparently visiting all highly haunted states in the US to write a book about the history of the hauntings, but when he was attempting to get his ticket, the woman had been convinced he was leaving the country. Dick watched in real-time as the manager also seemed to think New Mexico was in Mexico because he began to explain the international policy to the fuming man.
They threatened to put him on the no-fly list if he continued causing them trouble. That angered the traveler even more, and he raised his voice and waved his arms as he insisted the location be within the country.
Dick pulls out his phone, typing with one thumb quickly and pulling up a map of the country. He slid right next to the trio, standing at the stranger's left with an easy smile.
"Excuse me, can I have a moment of your time?" He asks
The woman's frustration is now nearing its tipping point, but the manager must have recognized him, for he hastily scrambles to make his expression more pleasant.
"Mr. Grayson-Wayne! Please give me one moment to sort this out. I can help you if that's okay with you. I'm sorry for the delay. Karen, call security to have this man escorted out."
"What!?" Demands the guy as the woman grins.
"With pleasure."
"New Mexico is a US state, " Dick cuts in, displaying his screen. "It's been one since 1912, I'm afraid."
The airline employees are pale as they stare at his phone before the manager pulls it out of his pocket and types rapidly on it. A few seconds later, his already white face goes even whiter.
Dick considers the man next to him, who has a grin starting to bloom on his face. It's a pretty handsome face if he's honest. A dig has him looking away towards his phone.
It's a message from his pilot. It seems the storm was due to Mr. Freeze, and they weren't expecting it to clear for at least four days. He was asking if there was anywhere else Dick wanted to fly to.
"I'm so sorry. I'll bump you up to first class." The manager says to the stranger, who is looking rather smug now. Dick considers his pilot's question before thinking, why not.
He does have an image to uphold, after all.
"Would you like a ride in my private jet? " Dick turns to the man, who blinks at him while cutting off the rambling of the woman and the manger. "I can drop you off wherever you want in New Mexico. Where were you headed?"
"Ugh, I wanted to visit Dawnson Cemetry, " the man stammers. "I-do you really have a private jet?"
"Yeah. Would you like to go with me?"
There is a moment of hesitation before the man grabs his wallet off the counter and nods. "If it's not too much trouble," he responds cautiously.
"It's not. I'm Dick Grayson-Wayne, by the way."
"Danny Fenton."
Dick waves the two employees away, winking at them as they slump in relief that Danny doesn't seem to want to make this into an incident. Likely, he had just been upset they weren't listening.
"Most haunted places in the US, huh?" Dick asks while sending a text to his crew. He gets confirmation that they can head over to the southwest post haste. "Aren't you scared of ghosts?"
Danny gives an odd little smirk. "I haven't been afraid of ghosts since I was fourteen."
Dick stares at his mouth a little too long, swinging his gaze back to his phone when he gets a message from Bruce. His dad had been informed of the flight change and was using the coded message to confirm Dick being the one to change it.
He types out a response, ignoring the fluttering of his heart. If he checks to see what other states are highly haunted as Danny looks around his jet with a fallen jaw, that's only because he has four days to kill.

Danny has gotten a severe case of wanderlust, frankly he blames his clone. He tends to pop into different dimensions every so often and only returns to the ones he likes.
And he likes this one.
Or more specifically some of the people in it. This world was filled with superheros and villains and while there were still no halfas here he felt like he belonged here. If fact the sense of belonging was so strong he almost wondered if this was secretly his home dimension. He shook the thought out of his head. There was no way that could be true...right?
Danny, Sam, Tucker and Jazz were all dressed up in full Storm Trooper gear for a convention when freaking Nightwing crashed through the centers skylight. They turned off the safety for thier blasters and set them to "stun" before running over to where Nightwing was trying to get up. The guy was pretty badly injured and it was clear he was having a hard time moving.
Tucker and Jazz got to work helping a very confused Nightwing out of the way as the big bad jumped in through the destroyed skylight. Danny and Sam began blasting them into submission before Jazz started asking him the concussion questions and swatting away Dicks protests that he was fine and they were in danger and should leave this to him.
Eventually the storm troopers won both the argument and the fight before promptly rushing out an emergency exit just before the other bats appeared.
The videos from the event went viral
---
Alternatively the bats have been taken hostage and are bearing witness to the summoning of "The Deathless Lord and God of the Undead"
No one expected a small group of Storm troopers to appear in the circle nor for them to have real blasters and fight back against the cultists. They even used real Empite military lingo while doing it.
The bats are convinced the cultists managed to summon actual Storm Troopers from the Star Wars universe and have no idea what to do with this information

One of the characters, Mihaly, does what looks like a simplified version of Hip Hop Kido which makes sense for her character (she’s a shaman who uses the power of dance to center herself). One character is the son of a two immortals with power over time and space, and he’s blue. The character he has tension with and does dance moves thst mimic his parents love story dances from previous games is the son of an evil empress trying to take over all of the dance verses. There’s a character who’s a dance instructor and a character who’s basically isekai’d from Earth to the just dance reality. Each of them wearing primary colors to easily distinguish them
At the end of 2024 all but one of them are corrupted by the empress character and turned evil, leaving just her son Jack Rose behind, unable to help his friend as his mother goes to corrupt other characters to join her army, with four mind controlled chosen ones to lead said army
Tumblr media
She forces them to dance for her
Tumblr media
Three of them while normal.
Predictions for 2025 is the story mode is other characters fighting the four off and either succeeding or losing depending. Similar to grid but dance battles
youtube
youtube
@augment-techs @skyland2703
Just Dance has a battle for the grid/green with evil/dark rangers storyline going on but dancing to pop, classic and rock music

Yandere(?) Jing Yuan
MY HUSBAND ✹
A little warning though. I quit playing HSR after 2.something. I don't remember. But it's because my devices can't handle it anymore :( at least I got Jing Yuan before I deleted the game. So I am probably going to put some wrong information here. Especially the timeline. Forgive me! Also,I lied. I'm not making this fic NSFW. Have some not so good angst LMAO Of course, there's spoilers so... Spoiler alert! Notes: Highly OOC Jing Yuan. He's a lonely man fr fr. Also, an extra long fic as an apology for disappearing like that lol. Also, not even sure if this counts as yandere. But just to be safe, i'm putting it here. So, dead dove, do not eat.
Tumblr media
Being a long time trailblazer from the Astral Express made you develop quite the wanderlust in you.
You were originally from Xianzhou. A spoiled kid of a rich family that decided to embrace the free life when the Astral Express first visited your planet.
You developed a strong friendship with Himeko and Welt, alongside treating Dan Heng and March as your little siblings/children.
When Stelle arrived in the Astral Express, it seems that your little family is complete. Sure, Stelle may be a little gremlin with a Stellaron inside, but hey. Family is family.
When the talks of going to Xianzhou appeared, you volunteered to guide Stelle and March around alongside Welt. You did miss your family, and wanted to prove that you weren't the same immature person before.
Well, you know what happened next.
The wharf being abandoned, littered with mara struck soldiers...
It seems that Xianzhou became worse for wear.
Fearing for the worst, you urged the three to follow you and defeated the Mara stricken soldiers in such precision.
Seriously. You follow Nihility since you want to be more laid back in your life. But why does life keep forcing lemons down your throat? Now, it's even your family being dragged in your bad luck!
You got dragged by the three around until you all got to the square, and immediately bade goodbye for the time being. Promising to help them as soon as they need to. For now, you need to get back to your family.
Once you got to the manor, you burst through the door and was immediately smacked to shit by your parents.
"YOU PRODIGAL CHILD! NOW YOU COME BACK HOME?! HOW DARE YOU SHOW YOUR FACE..."
A nagfest, you took in their worry filled words with a sharp edge before calming them down. You asked if any in your family have been mara stricken, but all of them shook their head thankfully enough.
Then, you noticed a man by the tea room. It seems that your parents forgot etiquette and abandoned their guest.
"AH! Forgive us, General! It's just this child... Oooh this child!"
You took a peak and was stunned.
Jing Yuan. The guy whose family is from the Realm-Keeping Commissions? And he's the general now? That's...
"You remember Yuan-yuan, right? Y/N'er?"
Oh you remember alright. How can you not? You loved this man a lot.
You squirmed under Jing Yuan's golden gaze that's filled with an unreadable emotion that you're sure had to do with your past.
And the past is what he desperately holds onto up to this day...
Tumblr media
"General! The astral express--"
Jing Yuan's usual relaxed demeanor stiffened, his eyes going rigid. If one looks close, the chess piece he's holding onto cracked, making it glitch.
His face softener a bit as to not scare Yanqing more who stepped back a bit.
"Is that so? Thank you for the information, Yanqing. You can go rest now."
The kid nodded before walking away and leaving Jing Yuan alone.
His world, once so bleak and dry, suddenly had a drop of rain that he once missed and took advantage of, thinking it won't go away.
"Y/N..." He whispered to himself, putting down the piece and washing his face with his palm.
Other than Jing Liu and the others, you were one of the few people he's close to. Ever since you both were in the academy, you've always didn't like his quite stubborn nature. He didn't like his academic strand, wanting to be a cloud knight.
He noticed you pulling a face whenever he cuts classes, sleeps, loafs around... Sure, you were spoiled to bits, but at least you have the decency to be good in school.
So, he made it a point to annoy you greatly. Always popping around the block wherever you were, following you while talking your ear off... Doesn't help that he's a classmate, it's a daily annoyance that you gradually welcomed over time.
It's a friendship born from being together all the time. You watch him train with Jing Liu, taught him stuff he didn't understand, and in return, he would teach you how to fend for yourself since you always told him you wanted to travel the galaxy.
And that friendship developed into something more intimate. Exchanging shy giggles, flirty whispers, firsts of everything... Even without a label other than lovers, you both knew that you two are destined and tied together. Soulmates, if you will.
He's happy that you were by his side. With the quintet and you, how much more happiness does he need in his life?
But sometimes, so much happiness meant that there will be a terrible thing happening the next day.
Fortunately for you, you left Xianzhou before the Baiheng incident in the process of saving the Xianzhou Yuque. It was a timely flight that Jing Yuan supported so that you will be safe from the chaos that will unfold.
Unfortunately for Jing Yuan though, he paid the price of seeing his friends fall one by one.
Baifeng, sacrificing herself when fighting Shuhu, Dan Feng creating a draconic abomination in the process of trying to ressurect Baifeng and solving the Vidyadhara reproduction problem, Yingxing being backfired and becoming immortal stricken with mara, and JIng Liu, also struck with mara.
He watches as his beloved quintet crumble to dust in such a short time, even defeating his own beloved master in order to save so many lives and bring justice to those lost.
Jing Yuan had no one. No one to turn to, no one to confide in.
In times like those, what he yearned is you. For you to return, for you to look at him with so much grief, concern, and care.
All he wanted is your hug, your reassurance that it wasn't his fault, and it wasn't his burden to carry.
But you didn't return. Not even a peep, not even a soul.
700 long years of waiting, of bottling up his emotions that it almost spilt over.
Sure, he's happier now, but is he truly happy?
Deep inside, he kind of resented you for being so blissfully unaware of what happened to him. Of what happened to the quintet. You never even contacted him in those 700 years. Did you just forget your relationship just like that? Did you move on from him? He thought both of you were together forever?
Then slowly, he got jealous. Of you, at first. Just travelling across the galaxies without a worry in the world. How selfish of you to just run off to the farflungs of the universe just to never contact him again. Shame on you. He's a worried lover! How can he not? Then, he got jealous of the people that you must have met. How much were they charming you that you forgot about him, your soulmate?
He started visiting your family in year 300 too. Consoling them and telling that you were gonna go back home. When? Soon. Like really soon.
He found solace in your family that started treating him as their own son. Taking care of him when he visits, entertaining him with a game of chess, maybe even talk about their life.
He also heard more stories about you. About your spoiled attitude outside of school, of your rebellious years, of your wants and needs to see the outside. It's as if he's living vicariously through your parents, and relieving your memories in order to not forget you.
Then, he starts yearning for your presence once more after just trying to forget you.
It's a never ending addictive cycle that he's lost in the deep trenches in.
You were the only constant in this godforsaken world, the wine he yearns to drown himself in in order to forget his problems. But his problem is the wine, his problem is you. But the alcoholic he is, he continue to guzzle down the addictive taste until reality blurs with fantasy. In which a picture perfect world existed were nothing went wrong, and you were still there back in his arms.
Over the years, he somehow got over it. Turned to tea, thought about stuff. But your family reminded him so much of you and told so much stories of you that he became so attached to the idea of you.
He started a little hobby of writing letters to your non-existent being. Thinking you'll read them in the future. He refuses to believe that you're dead and rotting in a ditch somewhere. He knows that you're alive. He knows it.
He wrote down what he wishes to tell you, on what he wanted to do with you once you come back like a little drink, maybe even roam around and show you what Xianzhou looks like after 700 years.
Then, it devolved into his frustrations, anger, jealousy, and grief about what happened in those measly years. On why he wanted to have you so bad with him, to have the only remaining friend with him by his side. He wants to cling to you, to finally have a full on restful sleep, but also yell at you for leaving him behind.
He thought of the people that made you forget him. Of the people that took you away from him. Yes, they may, no, they ARE the reason why you weren't returning home. They must be.
He knows he's wrong. And he's working on it. A few letters down the road had him apologizing, telling he's in the wrong, and started writing about what to do once you come back.
Until those letters carried a weight that he's thinking of.
What will happen if you decided to stay in Xianzhou this time?
What will happen if something or someone made you stay?
What if, Jing Yuan forced you stay?
An absurd idea, but those letters quickly became a drawn out plan on what he'll do to make you stay by him, by his side. Eternally until the end of both of your lifespans.
And those letters were now safely kept in his hand. They will not see the light of the day.
The time he knew that the Astral Express came to their wharf, with Yanqing telling him, he immediately ran to Fu Xuan to know who are the passengers of the train that stepped out to help.
And there you are. You chose the path of Nihility. Fitting for a person like you who wished for everything, yet nothing. A spoiled kid who only wanted meaningless vices and thrills to fill the void inside. You grew up so much just as him.
What is this feeling inside? Relief? Resentment? Guilt? Love?
Woah, love? Really? Does he really still feel love for you? Or is that just a byproduct of the putrid mix of emotions inside of him?
He always knew his feelings for you never disappeared. It was supposed to be just a harmless puppy love that is forgotten over time. Like come on, it's been seven centuries.
But seeing you there, with your mother still nagging you, and your eyes locked onto him with an excited, naive look on your face made those forgotten emotions resurface.
And unfortunately, became an unfortunate ingredient in the rancid pot of emotions he bottled up over the years.
The General, known for being laid back and relaxed, can feel that image slowly crack and crumble every step you take towards him with a smile on your face.
It's so painful. How can you have that sweet smile on your face while he had to endure so much guilt and pain that he doesn't deserve to undergo?
What's worse is that your smile was lifting so much off of his shoulders to the point that he wants to drag those problems back to his shoulders and stubbornly hold onto them just to prove you a point.
He can't believe you had so much power over him. It's driving him insane how your mere presence shook the centuries worth of healing that he did for himself.
The conflicting thoughts started to whirl in his head.
He wants you to stay, but he wants you to disappear now that you're actually here.
In those mere seconds, he composed himself and gave you a soft smile. A smile that usually had a lazy quality in them now looks rigid.
"Y/N, my love. How are you? It's been seven centuries!" Calm and composed. That's what he wishes his voice sounds like.
You, sweet, oblivious you, hugged him with such a smile on your face. After all, Jing Yuan was your lover. And you hoped that he didn't hate you that much from not communicating.
"Yuan! I'm so glad I met you here again! Wow... You're a general now! How cool is that?!"
Your excited voice grated his ears to the point that he wants to cover it vehemently, but he also wants to get a hold of it and hear it over and over again. Reassuring himself that you're actually here in the flesh with him and not just a figment of his fractured reality.
With a smile, you grabbed his hand and got out of your parents' manor, wanting to apologize to Yuan by catching up.
Are you really that insensitive? Such naive thinking that by only talking things out, the problem will be resolved. Well, in your defense, you didn't know what happened with JIng Yuan and the quintet. All you knew is that they grew apart from the looks of it.
You didn't undergo the same traumatic experience that Jing Yuan did, the agonizing isolation, the years of waiting for that somebody to come home, and your mental health devolving into something more sinister, something that crosses with your logic multiple times.
But here you are, flashing your carefree smile at the dying Jing Yuan who squeezed out a chuckle.
He wishes that you burn in hell. He wishes that HE burns in hell. He wishes to burn with you, spending the last agonizing minutes with you finally in his arms again.
He grasps your hand, wrestling out an apology in his mind to you.
But he can't let you go until you knew of the agony you left him with.
And that's going to take a lifetime with you by his side, shackled and ruined.
Tumblr media
It has been a whirlwind of emotions.
You saw Dan Heng, turn into your old friend Dan Feng. Well, his visage anyways. Were you that blind to not see the similarities? Or were you blocking the image out of your mind in order to protect your own peace?
And Yingxing, no, Blade. When did he turn into this immortal, suicidal maniac who wishes for nothing but death for himself and revenge?
And it's Dan Feng's fault? Dan Feng would never!
Your image of Dan Heng/Feng started to mix, making you dizzy and confused.
Baiheng. She died? Did she really? So did Dan Feng's ritual work or not? Did she reincarnate? Is she somewhere out there?
What happened in those years?!
And Jing Liu... Jing Yuan's master. Mara stricken and committed a massacre. That Jing Liu?
Jing Yuan even defeated her himself... Oh gods, did he just carry that burden all by himself? All those years... Centuries of pain and suffering that he didn't deserve.
The carnage, the aftermath, the result of grieving.
It's almost too much to bear for you.
And you were just out in the world, travelling and being all wishy washy, enjoying yourself with your newfound friends?
For gods sake, you were Jing Yuan's lover! Did you just forget about him just like that? Then those promises. Were those fake and surface level?!
How about your old friends? Did you even consider them? In those seven centuries, did you not even think of them?
Of course you did! But you swore that you thought that they're going to do fine!
Guilt riddled your weary body. Exhaustion catching up to you as you wept in your room.
So much to process, so much to grieve. It was almost too much if it weren't for Jing Yuan there to comfort you. Telling you that it was okay, that it wasn't your fault.
But what if's kept popping up your mind. What if you returned earlier? What if you were there for Jing Yuan? What if you didn't actually leave?
And Jing Yuan was so nice throughout the whole thing. You only talked to Dan Heng for a little while, but you need more time.
You felt so selfish for being like this. Why are you so affected when you weren't even there?
That's it. You weren't there. You weren't there for your friends, for Jing Yuan who only has you.
Seven centuries of loneliness... How did he even endure it?
You wanted to share the burden so bad, to be with him and atone for those time lost. You want to be there for him.
You are a terrible lover. A terrible friend, and a terrible person. Those phrases continued to mingle in your mind and wore you down to your barebones.
Now, even a sneeze from Jing Yuan warrants you to panic.
And Jing Yuan had a sick sense of satisfaction from seeing you wallow in sorrow.
Again, he knows it's wrong. He knows that he shouldn't be delighted in seeing you suffer.
But that side of him loves the attention he thinks he deserves. The care that he's deprived of, the love that he's blatantly robbed of.
So, he eggs that anxiety in yours on more by talking about the past and the pain he went through, his eyes narrowing in an indescribable stare as your person gets hammered down more and more.
It was eating him alive. But he assures himself that this is just temporary. Once he felt satisfied, he will start fixing you up again good as new.
And, as your parents urged you to finally marry Jing Yuan, and you nodding in desperation to make it up to him more from the centuries of neglect as his lover, Jing Yuan apologizes in his mind once more, and holds you close.
Tumblr media
Hello love, you certainly gave everyone a scare. They're all just thrilled to see you safe and sound. As for this latest little game of yours, thank the stars it's over. Did you have fun? Did you get everything out of your system? Good, good. Everyone is so relieved. Welcome home, Y/n. -Jing Yuan

You were having a hard time teaching these damn kids how to swim. Not when Franklin looked like that. Water cascaded down his skin, soaking up the sun, and dripped from his low afro. His swim shorts were a pair of black basketball shorts but it got you thinking about what was underneath those shorts.
It wasn’t like the water hid everything. On none of the guys. And all the girls knew it. You shared a look across the lake with Dana and Jamika. They also stared at their respective men, water dripping from their torso’s as well.
There should be a law against putting this many men and women together in an isolated setting like this and expecting them to behave. How could you? Your mouth turned dry every time Franklin came up for air. The way his eyes would close against the sun and he’d brush the water from his face.
The cool lake water was welcome against the hot, humid air around Camp Wanderlust. It was not enough to cool every inch of you. Your pussy painfully throbbed every time Franklin flexed, smiled, or swam in the lake. You were going to melt soon, the more you paid attention to him.
The girls in your cabin were a mix of those who knew how to swim and who’d never set foot in a pool of water before. Not many chances to go to a pool to learn, or go to the beach when your parents worked long hours and barely got dinner in on time.
The ones who could swim, you had them learning how to float on their backs. The ones who didn’t, you had them learn to get used to the water. It was okay to dunk their heads and get their hair wet. It was okay to let loose and have fun. You would help them with their hair afterwards.
The first part of the morning after breakfast was spent in the water, getting exercises and tiring these kids out. A few days in, they were endless sources of energy and enthusiasm. Warming up to one another as they shared secrets in the cabins. The games between cabins were heating up as everyone took to showing their cabin pride when cheering each other on.
In a few, everyone was going to split up for the water volleyball game. It was going to take place closer to the shore, where the water was more shallow so that no one felt bad about not getting to participate.
“Is Mr. Franklin your boyfriend?”
You coughed as you whipped your head towards one of your kids, Drea, who looked up at you with a goofy grin, one of her front teeth missing.
“What? Why would you ask that?” You asked.
“You keep looking at him. My sister said that girls don’t tell boys they like them. They just stare at them and if the boy isn’t dumb, he’ll come talk to her,” Drea said.
There were just
so many things wrong with that sentence that you didn’t know where to begin. Which was more embarrassing? That you got caught staring at Franklin Saint or that you got caught by a twelve year old?
“That’s one way to do it. Or you could just talk to the boy you like,” you said.
Drea and her friends made a face like that was the worst advice ever. You chuckled. God, were you like this when you were twelve? Probably. The thought of talking to a boy at that age made you violently ill.
You chuckled. “I’ll tell you a secret about boys,” you said. The rest of the girls moved closer as you divulged this secret. They gathered in a semi-circle near you and you couldn’t help pinching yourself.
“Boys are dumb at any age. They are not taught how to talk to girls, thinking they have to be cool all the time. If you like a boy, sometimes you have to come on out and say it,” you said.
The girls shrieked their displeasure at that little nugget, dramatically flopping around in the water. They kicked up water at each other and you playfully joined in, splashing them. As they calmed down, another little girl, Asia, gave you a serious look.
“What if they make fun of us?” She asked.
“Some will. Some may not like you back. And that will hurt, but it’s better to know than twist yourself into knots thinking about it. And if they make fun of you, do you really want to like someone who does that?” You asked.
A chorus of “noooooo” rang through the air and you chuckled.
“So did you tell Mr. Franklin that you liked him?” Drea asked.
You laughed to cover up the nervous bubbles in your belly. You couldn’t even discuss him without falling to pieces. Every night, you two snuck out to the dock for heavy petting and kissing. You never felt more alive than when his hands slipped under your shirt and caressed your back.
“Why do ya’ll think I like him?” You asked. What secrets were written across your face when you thought no one was looking?!
“Your voice gets higher when you’re around him,” one girl spoke up.
“Yeah, and you always giggle when you’re standing next to him!”
“And you’re always poking at each other like my parents!”
You stopped them with a giggle. You held up your hands as your face heated from all the ways you showed that you were very much into Franklin Saint. Were you that obvious? You resisted the urge to check where he was now. You wanted to see more of him with that water dripping from him. You wanted to lick every drop.
A whistle split the air and you turned your attention to the dock. Anne stopped blowing the whistle and lifted a megaphone to her lips. Saved by the whistle.
“Are you all ready for water volleyball?!” Anne screamed. You didn’t know how she and Doug had so much fucking energy in the morning. You wanted to slap the megaphone from her hand just to see if she’d cry or find a way to be happy about that too.
The kids screamed, pumping their little fists. You clapped along with the counselors, eyes finally settling on Franklin. He grinned and gave you a wave. You waved back. Damn, he was too damn delicious.
You tore your eyes away to focus on Anne who explained water volleyball and the rules. It was all about teamwork, blah blah blah. You tuned her out and focused on your kids. They were grinning, open, and excited. It warmed your heart to see.
Anne encouraged everyone to get out of the water so that you could make your way to the other side of the dock, where a net had been erected in the lake. Some counselors were going to keep score, others referees, and others to keep an eye on the kids not playing. This was only the first half of the camp. The other half were doing arts and crafts at the moment before it was their turn after lunch.
You moved your girls out of the lake, helping them onto the shore. Brave souls tried to climb onto the dock, lifting themselves up. It became a competition among the more sporty kids, who could get up the fastest. You ain’t have shit to prove so you walked onto the shore, the sun doing its best to steal the coolness from the lake.
You felt a light hand on your elbow and you nearly tripped from shock. Franklin laughed and caught you, righting you back on your feet. “Literally falling for me, huh?” He asked.
You rolled your eyes and slapped his hands away, gaining distance from him. “You get on my nerves!” You said.
He chuckled and stayed by you to ensure that you didn’t tip over again. “You need to stop scaring me. Sneaking up behind me and stuff.”
The water plastered his shorts to his lean frame and you took a deep gulp at the sight of a certain bulge. Dear god. And that was him after being in the water. What would he look like at full attention?
You cleared your throat and looked behind you to account for your kids. You didn’t need your filthy thoughts plastered all over your face. These nights with Franklin felt like dreams. But you knew they were real. And they were making your thoughts dizzy. Your breath quicken every time you thought back to his mouth on you. His hands on you. You were left burning to a crisp every time you parted and you had to climb into your bed alone. You didn’t expect to feel so intently for him, but you needed him like a bad habit.
Cabin 5 slowly gathered themselves together. Both boys and girls began warming up to each other, finding common interests to talk about like school, Star Wars, or whatever it was that kids were into these days.
They gathered up behind you as Anne called out which cabin was going first. Half from the boys and girls would work together, giving each cabin two chances to win. If it ends up being a tie, then there would be a final showdown.
Your cabin wasn’t up yet, so you watched Cabin 2 go first against Cabin 3. You hung out and watched as the game went underway, Anne excitedly cheering for both sides.
A boy pushed between you and Franklin and you weren’t aware you had been standing so close to each other. “Mr. Franklin? Now would be a good time,” he said.
You looked from the little boy to Franklin. Franklin only smiled. “You right. Ya’ll remember what I told ya’ll?” He asked.
The boys agreed and you turned to face the kids. You looked to the girls, but they looked just as confused as you were.
“Ya’ll not pranking me right? You really think she likes me?” Franklin asked, but his eyes were on you. Nervous, soft giggles escaped you as you tried to puzzle out what Franklin was up to.
Your girls jumped in, enthusiastically answering him with the same bullshit they tossed at you. “What makes ya’ll think he likes me?” You asked, folding your arms across your chest. You wore a modest swimsuit, a two piece that still showed a lot of skin. You suddenly felt exposed. Like they were tap dancing on an insecurity you tried hard to bury.
“He always talks about you. Like how smart you are. He said smart girls are the best girls,” one of the boys answered.
“He said your smile was the cutest he’s ever seen!”
You laughed, staring at Franklin. He clasped his hands behind his back and shrugged, like he was a little embarrassed by the attention but wasn’t going to fight it. “Is that right?” You asked the kids, but looked at him. He smiled softly.
“I also said that you must always compliment a woman whenever you see her. Women are the best thing God blessed us with,” Franklin said.
He was laying it on so thick. And it worked heavenly magic on you. You didn’t take him for a believer in God, much more practical in his approach to life. Forget butterflies, humming birds fluttered in your stomach as you looked at him.
“You supposed to be teaching these kids about the woods!” You said with a laugh.
“I’m teaching them valuable lessons to become strong, young men! Ain’t that right?” Franklin asked.
The kids answered with a yes, jumping up and down and giggling about you two to each other. They were just as bad as the counselors. Middle school really did prepare you for the rest of your life. There was never going to be a moment where people didn’t get downright giddy about two people liking each other.
You couldn’t talk. You were just as bad. You were smitten with Franklin in ways that made your previous crushes pale in comparison.
Franklin stepped closer to you. “You don’t know how badly I wanna kiss you right now,” he said.
“Same,” you admitted. You wanted to push your lips against his and never come up for air. You wanted his hands back around you, holding you, exploring you. Not appropriate to show these kids, so you smiled and looked back at them.
“Did he put you up to this?” You asked.
The boys looked to Franklin for help, confirming your suspicions. “Mr. Franklin! You should ask her on a date! That’s what my dad does when he makes my mom mad,” one of the little boys said.
You laughed, shaking your head. These kids were something else. Treating the two of you like you were a soap opera drama.
“That’s a great idea. Would you like to go on a date with me?” Franklin asked.
“What date would that be?” You asked. Your girls backed you up, oooh’ing and giggling about this playful exchange.
“A gorgeous bonfire, we can share smores and talk,” he said. You were going to interject, that smores and a bonfire was the norm every night. But then he kept going. “Followed by a walk by the lake, to look at the stars. I’ll tell you that every star up there can’t compare to you.”
You gasped, not prepared for that. You stared at him, at his open, hopeful face and you smiled. He had you hook, line, and sinker. How the hell were you going to walk away after three weeks? When this was all over, losing him would break you. You went to separate schools and you both had plans for the future. Plans that didn’t factor in unexpectedly meeting each other.
The girls next to you sighed briefly, looking at Franklin like they were head over heels in love. You got it. You were falling rapidly for him as well. The boys were a bit slower on the take. Some understood, looking to Franklin like he just altered their minds. Some looked at him like he was crazy.
“Then I’d walk you back to your cabin and kiss your hand, and beg for another date,” he finished, that lopsided grin reappearing. “Will you say yes?”
You took a deep breath. Shit. You wouldn’t survive a date like that. You’d be too busy trying to jump his bones.
“Say yes!” Drea said, pushing against your back. The other girls joined her, a round of “say yes” getting louder and disturbing the second round of Cabin 2 versus Cabin 3. The boys jumped in, crowding behind Franklin and turning puppy dog eyes towards you. They clasped their hands in front of them, dropping their chin onto their hands, and poking out their bottom lip.
“I know you taught them that!” You said and giggled.
“Gotta use every advantage I got,” Franklin said.
You shook your head but finally relented. As if you were going to say no. The kids screamed their excitement, and you told them to direct that excitement towards the other cabins. They were supposed to be sizing up their competition, not worried about your love life. And yet

You looked at Franklin as the kids pushed forward to watch the game. Both teams lost and won a round, so your kids were up next against Cabin 2. You and Franklin got back into the lake, sharing glances and smirks as you walked further in. The water was about waist high for everyone except the guy counselors.
The hell were they putting in the water in the hood? Everyone was fine. Jamika held up a thumbs up for you and you returned the gesture. You and Franklin worked as a team, calling a fair game and tallying up the points. Your cabin won both rounds and went up against cabin 3, for a combined total of three wins.
You, Franklin, and Cabin 5 all celebrated your win out of the lake to make room for Cabin 1 and 4. Their game would be a little shorter since there wouldn’t be an odd team out. Franklin bumped shoulders with you as you walked behind your cabin. They playfully recapped the same games you just witnessed.
“I ain’t get a chance to tell you how good you look in that swimsuit,” Franklin said.
You shushed him, even though the other cabin counselors weren’t near you and the kids were in front of you. Franklin laughed at your antics, shaking his head.
“You are so bad,” you said.
“I had to stay in the water up to my chest just so no one would see something they shouldn’t,” Franklin said, intentionally leaving it up to your imagination. You appreciated him censoring himself, but his words only conjured up filthy images in your mind.
“Do I get to see it later then?” You asked.
Franklin sucked in a sharp breath and you smiled at getting to trip him up for once. “Are you serious?” He asked.
You nodded. Fuck waiting. You didn’t know what you were waiting for. You only knew that kissing him by moonlight was romantic as hell, but you wanted a little more. You wanted to douse this fire in your belly and you needed him to do it. To finally give in to this thing between you. Connecting you.
Franklin grinned. He grabbed your hand and brought it to his lips, kissing the back of it. “Tonight?” He asked.
You smiled. “Tonight.” Tonight, you were going to have sex with Franklin Saint. You were going to faint, but god help you, you needed it.
“Ewww!” One of the boys shrieked. You looked at him and the whole cabin had turned around to see your hand in Franklinïżœïżœs. Franklin waved them off and dared them to a race towards the cabin. He gave you a last, scorching look before he took off, never telling the boys when to go.
You did the same with your girls, running past them to the cabins to get cleaned up and prepare for lunch.
Tumblr media
Franklin sat next to you around the campfire. After getting cleaned up and having lunch, the kids still somehow had energy for arts and crafts. They were learning to build cabins out of popsicle sticks. You and Franklin worked around them, providing supplies where needed and working on one together.
But as the sun finally lost its heat, everyone was tired as hell. You decided to let the girls have free time, free to go to the rec room or get a nap in. You opted for a nap. Shit, you were tired as hell. As well as too keyed up for tonight.
Now, you were around the bonfire, speaking to Anne about the day’s festivities and what the kids liked the most. Some shared their honest experiences, telling Anne that they never thought anything like this existed in the real world. They thought “camp” was something made up for TV shows and movies.
You had to fight off more than a few tears, hearing about kids from broken homes. Kids who didn’t think they’d be able to do something like this. Kids who had to grow up entirely too fast, taking care of their younger siblings and not having any real experiences of their own.
Franklin’s knee routinely knocked against yours throughout the night. Lingering touches whenever he handed you something like smore supplies or a stick. Your body felt entirely too sensitive. Too in tune with his body.
Night time in the woods was dreadfully cold, too at odds with the heat of the day. You were far from cold. Body heated in ways you’d never experienced before. You weren’t a virgin, but fuck, you felt like one sitting next to Franklin. The cold air lifted tiny hairs on your legs and arms. You felt every instance that his body connected with yours.
Nerves tingled everywhere. Your inner thighs too sensitive as you rubbed them together. Was there a way to fast forward through life? You wanted to climb him right here and now.
Anne wound down the night with something a little lighter. She openly admitted that she had no idea what they went through. That made you look at her in a different light. What irritated you most about people like Anne and Doug were that they tried too hard to pretend that they knew what it was like to grow up Black in America.
The fact that she openly admitted that she didn’t
maybe they weren’t too bad, for some white folks too cringey for their own good.
Anne went on to talk about choices and how each kid didn’t get to choose which family they were born into, how they grew up, but they did have a choice in doing better. Doing better in school, not because they’re parents wanted them to, but because they needed to learn. They could choose to go to college like you and Franklin did, find a passion, turn that into a job they could be proud of. It was a little sappy but you saw it sink in to some of these kids.
When Anne was done, she shared one final story about the crazy killer in the woods and that they must never say the name. She pretended to let it slip, but caught herself. The kids joked but they were pooped from the day’s activities. You walked them back to the cabin, your hand tapping against Franklin’s.
He grabbed your hand, free to do so in the dark. No words. Nothing more than his rough hand in yours. And it was everything to you.
At lights out, the girls asked if you were going on your date now. You told them yes and squealed with them about how Franklin asked you. You told them that they shouldn’t settle for anything less. Some of these girls would still fall into the same traps you did as a kid and you hoped to get through to some of them. Cut the trauma off at the pass.
No more girls getting played by fast young boys. You hoped.
You made them promise to behave themselves and you’d tell them all about the date in the morning at breakfast.
You left the cabin and started off for the bridge to the dock. You already told Dana not to wait up for you. As she picked out her afro, she giggled and kicked her feet. She told you that Jamika owed her five dollars now.
“This is just so great!” She squealed earlier when you told her.
You decided to stop fighting these teases. They made you want to punch something, but there wasn’t much to entertain yourselves with. Jamika was still after Jason even though he was trying his hardest to spread himself thin amongst the women. You’d think there would be an even split for everyone, but no, Jason was just greedy.
You made it to the bridge and saw Franklin there, standing, bathed in that silver light that gave him an otherworldly glow. Knowing him these past two weeks, you’d known that he was special. But it was moments like these, before he caught you looking, that you truly felt like he was meant for something bigger, greater.
You told him you were there and he smiled wide, taking your hand and walking towards the dock. The surface of the lake was still, no hint that anyone or anything ever disturbed it. Insects chirped somewhere in the woods, too loud to determine from which direction. The lake was large enough to have a decent walk ahead of you.
Your skin was on fire in anticipation, but Franklin was true to his word. You went for a walk, just the two of you, talking about the future and your plans after college. You asked him what type of business he would get into when he got home. He wasn’t sure just yet, there were so many ideas in his head.
“Every star up there jealous of you right now,” he said. You damn near melted into a puddle at his feet.
He had subtle calluses on his palms that rubbed against your smooth one. He was into some kind of labor and you found that you wanted to learn everything about him. Where he grew up, what he did when he was at home.
“My boys Leon and Kevin are my best friends. Right now? They probably down at the skating rink with everybody else,” he said.
“Do you skate?” You asked.
Franklin took a deep breath and chuckled. “Not well.”
“What? The great and powerful Franklin Saint isn’t good at everything?” You asked.
He laughed and twirled you closer to him, his arm over your shoulder now and your hand still in his. “Not everything. But some things I’m really good at,” he said. He pressed a kiss to your ear, sending shivers down your spine.
“Really good?” You asked, nibbling on his arm.
“Really good,” he whispered in your ear.
Your steps faltered as his deep, sexy voice caressed your ear. You bit back a moan.
Giddiness spread like heat through your body and you looked at Franklin as it seemed to hit him too. You walked a little faster towards the boat house. It was set at one of the edges of the lake, dark, blending in with the woods beyond it.
Franklin hurried you inside, closing the door behind you. It felt like you stepped into another realm, filled with magic and dreams. The sounds were muted inside, the chirping of the woods down to a low simmer.
A boat was smack in the middle of the boathouse, raised on a little platform and tied to a post at the front of the boathouse. The water beneath churned softly, knocking against the wood in a slow rhythmic dance. There were windows inside and it let in the moon’s light, casting long shadows all around.
“This is beautiful! I feel like I’m in a fairytale but it’s just the boathouse,” you said. Your voice was louder inside too. You hadn’t thought you were shouting, but that’s what it sounded like.
“Maybe it’s just you, princess,” Franklin said.
You pursed your lips, not wanting to give him a full corny smile. He smiled though, making you give him one in return. You stepped closer to him, wrapped up in the heat he gave. It rivaled the sun during the day. You wouldn’t mind getting burned by him though. Consumed by him.
Franklin leaned down and kissed you. Soft, gentle kisses that didn’t hint at anything more. There was no need to rush this. You knew that. But you needed his clothes off.
You gripped the edges of his Camp Wanderlust t-shirt but he stilled your hands. He smirked at the questioning look in your eyes. Then he took your hand and led you towards the back. There was a storage area back there to the side, full of tools for fixing the boat. Directly in front was a gate for when it was time to exit this boathouse. On the right side, there was a short ladder that led to a short loft area.
Franklin let you climb up first and you gasped at what you found. There was a wider window there, giving you a perfect glance at the half moon hanging in the sky. The stars twinkled around it and reflected off of the surface of the lake.
There was a pile of thick blankets on the loft floor, piled high with fluffy pillows facing towards the window. You scooted over so that Franklin could get up there too. He smiled when he got up.
“Wish I could’ve seen your face when you saw it,” he said.
“This is
” You didn’t have the words.
“Me and my bunkmate found it not too long ago when we were exploring during down time. We promised not to tell anyone else, otherwise this place would get nasty as hell,” he said.
That was an understatement. If anybody else found out about it, namely Jason’s nasty ass, this place would be a breeding ground for all kinds of gross stuff. The fact that Franklin shared it with you took your breath away.
You were further convinced that Franklin was it for you. He was perfect to share this moment with. Perfect all around. He was sweet, playful, confident in small, quiet ways.
Franklin moved closer until he was right next to you. His hand moved to your cheek, thumb lightly brushing across your cheek. You sighed, pressing your forehead against his. You smiled.
The lull of the water and the soft chirping gave you more than enough music to sway to. You kissed him, closing that distance between you because you couldn’t stand to be apart anymore. He kissed you just as fiercely, holding you close to him.
You went for his shirt again, lifting it off of him. All day, you’d fantasized about running your hands across his chest. Feeling his smooth, dark skin like velvet.
“Are you sure you want to do this? I don’t want to pressure you,” he said.
Silly man. You smiled against his lips and kissed him once more. “Pretty sure this was my idea,” you said. Maybe not the romantic boathouse, but moving beyond just kissing. You needed more. You needed him.
Franklin nodded and resumed his kissing, taking your shirt off. He looked at your breasts held in your bra and his eyes widened like he was staring at something divine. It lit a fire in your core, so hot you were worried that you would be the one to burn him.
His hands skimmed down to your sides, pressing his fingers into your skin. You straddled him, getting on top of him while he leaned back into the pillows. You reached behind you to take off your bra, but your fingers were too clumsy. Shaking too badly from this need.
Franklin sat up and helped you. You giggled. You felt too young yourself, stumbling through your first hookup again. God, you were so awkward. Now held that same kind of wonder. The same kind of delicious journey into the unknown with someone else.
Franklin helped free your breasts and he sucked in a sharp gasp. The cups fell away from you and Franklin slid it from your arms. You expected to be nervous. To be shy and hide yourself. But you were comfortable with him. He made you comfortable.
Franklin looked at you while his lips went to your breasts, suckling on your flesh and placing kisses there. You sighed, scratching at the nape of his neck. He wrapped his arms around you and held you to him while his mouth found your nipples.
“Oh, fuck,” you whispered. His mouth was hot on you, tongue licking at your nipples. Your pussy throbbed, soaking your panties. Each swipe of his tongue made you grind on his crotch. He brought one hand up to squeeze your breast, pucker your nipple so that it was ripe for his attention.
Your nipples beaded under his careful exploration. He switched between them, taking his time with each. You dropped your forehead to his head, lost to this sensation. Of being claimed so thoroughly. Your hookups were far more frenzied, too busy trying to get in and get off.
Franklin was determined to take his time. Your hands roamed across his back. Across his smooth, unblemished skin. You felt cherished in his arms, was that weird?
Franklin moved his hands down to slip beneath your pants, grabbing two handfuls of your ass. He squeezed and you moaned, scooting higher on him even though there was nowhere else to go.
“That pussy ready for me?” He asked. His filthy words were what you needed. You nodded.
“I’m ready for you,” you said.
Franklin smiled, moving his hands between you to tug at the button of your jeans. Your hands unbuttoned his khakis, desperate for that hardening bulge in his pants. You released each other at the same time, hands flying to each other’s crotches.
Your hands wrapped around his dick first and he groaned at the contact. His eyes briefly shut, face twisted in glorious pleasure and pain, before he opened them and looked at you. Your thumb played with the precum beading on the tip of his dick.
He grinned as his fingers found your damp curls and swirled your clit with your arousal. You shared a gasp, both of your mouths dropping open as you played with each other. Silver moonlight danced over his features. He was so damn beautiful it made your chest ache.
“You’re so fucking beautiful,” he said.
You giggled and told him that you were just thinking the same thing. You had to part briefly so that you could maneuver in the loft. You both shed your pants and came back together, you straddling him.
“Like a fucking angel,” he breathed as you got back on top of him.
“You’re the sexiest man on the planet, Franklin Saint,” you told him.
“Hmm, say it again,” he said and grinned. You slapped at his shoulder.
“No,” you said and poked out your tongue. Franklin pretended like he was going to bite it so you did it again and again, retrieving your tongue whenever he got too close.
“It’s not too late to back out if you want,” Franklin said, once more checking in with you. You appreciated him for that. Your past lovers didn’t fucking care as long as they got off.
“I don’t want to stop. Touch me, Franklin,” you whispered and leaned down to catch his lips. His scrumptious, warm lips that made you moan and grind against him. His dick rubbed against your belly, but you needed him inside of you.
“Condom?” You asked.
Franklin smiled. “Not yet,” he said. You weren’t sure what he meant by that before he suddenly flipped you over onto your back. The plush berry blankets warmed your back from where he had been leaning on it.
Franklin kneeled above you and you’d never seen a prettier sight. He kissed along your neck, your chest, returning his attention to your nipples. You writhed and gyrated on the blankets, too out of your skin to vocalize what you needed him to do next. You only knew that you’d break soon.
Sweat gathered on your brow. Your breaths mingled together in the loft area. Franklin moaned and moved lower, kissing your belly. Then he went even lower, pushing your thighs wider to accommodate his shoulders.
He dived in, lapping up your sweet juices. “Fuck, a nigga can drown in here,” he moaned.
“Fuck,” you cried out. Your hands gripped onto his hair, yanking at him as he licked and suckled on you.
Franklin gave you the same love and care he showed to your nipples. He fully explored your pussy, licking around your clit. Licking lower. Spearing his tongue in and out of you like he planned to do with his dick.
The desperate moans leaving you should be embarrassing but were anything but. “Let me hear it, princess,” he moaned into your pussy.
“Fuck! Franklin!” You moaned, thighs tingling unbearably. Your breaths stuttered in your chest. Your stomach hollowing out as your eyes rolled back. Your mouth opened and closed but no words came out. Nothing but those ragged, dry moans leaving you as you finally fell over the edge with one final lick from Franklin’s tongue.
You exploded. Stars blinking behind your eyelids as you came. Your legs shook, held up in the air by Franklin’s shoulders. You moaned, tears stinging your eyes. “Fuuuck,” you dragged out. Tears fell freely now. Your orgasm was so intense, you could barely breathe. Barely think.
Your nails dug into Franklin’s shoulders as he continued eating you out. Continued flicking his tongue across that sensitive little bud that brought you so much pleasure. It danced beneath your skin. Flashed through your core like lightning.
Franklin’s tongue brought you back from the edge, anchoring you so that you found your way home to your body. You gasped and moaned, calming down from something so intense. Franklin kissed up your body, leaving wet tracks on your body.
When he reached your face, he smiled and gently wiped away your tears. He pressed a soft kiss to your mouth. You were too weak to cup his cheek.
“Okay, princess?” He asked.
You nodded. You were more than okay. You were out of this world. You were on another planet. You were soaring through the stars above. But you settled for a nod. You didn’t have a way to convey your feelings in the moment.
“Up for more?” He asked.
“Please,” you rasped. “I need it.”
Franklin smiled and left you long enough to grab his pants. He pulled out a condom. You didn’t know how, why, or where he got it. Only grateful that he did have one and that you’d finally get to give in to this burning desire inside. This hunger for his body, his hands, and to be connected in a way only two people could.
He opened the foil, rolling the condom onto his shaft. You watched as he adjusted the tip, pinching it to give him some room to cum. Thinking about his cum made you clench in desperation. You had cum but it hadn’t satisfied the deeper desire to be filled up. The primal part of you wanted to be claimed in the basest sense of the word.
Franklin kissed you, taking your thoughts back to his lips. His tongue rolled against yours as he positioned himself between your legs. He pushed into a pushup, lined himself up, and slowly fed you his dick.
Your eyes widened, gasping. He shushed you, promising that he’d fit. You dug your nails into him again as he worked himself inside. True to his word, he did fit. Franklin was always true to his word. If he promised something, he meant it.
You groaned, pushing your hips up as he stroked deep within you. “Oh fuck, oh fuck. Oh Franklin,” you moaned.
He looked you in the eye while he stroked, taking in all of your moans and words like he wanted to swallow them down. He groaned, fucking into you, and you surrendered to his sweet lovemaking.
The slow pace. The depth. The kisses in between. Your legs bounced around his waist. He glowed from the moonlight. Fuck. This was perfect. This was so incredibly perfect in so many ways. You could fuck for a thousand years and this would be the one night that you’d always remember. The night where you had a blissful, perfect moment.
“You take my breath away every time I see you. Every time you smile. Every time you laugh. Every moment I spend with you just makes me greedy for more,” Franklin groaned, his deep voice sounding like it was taking all his energy to speak.
“Franklin,” you moaned, tears once more clouding up your vision. “I always seek you out. Wherever I am. I like seeing you from across the room. Knowing that you’re there makes my whole day,” you said.
You felt his dick pulse inside and you moaned at the sensation. “Fuck, don’t say shit like that. I’m trying to last,” he said and chuckled.
You chuckled. “For what?”
“So I can hear them pretty ass moans again,” he said. He leaned to his other side, hitting you from a new angle.
“Oh fuck!” You cried out. This new angle hit your sweet spot and you were clutching him to you, looking to him for that same anchor he provided.
“It’s okay princess, you can cum,” he said with a cocky smirk.
Your tease died on your lips as he commanded your orgasm out of you. You hung onto him while your world went dark again at the edges. You only had eyes for the glowing figure above you.
“Fuck, squeeze that shit,” he groaned.
You squeezed him and clenched around him, moans dripping from your lips like the slick between your thighs. Franklin stroked a few more times before he let himself cum. He halted, balls deep inside, while he came.
His dick pulsed and you scrunched up your face. This was too much. Too much pleasure. Too much.
Franklin sunk down onto his elbow, huffing. You gasped as well, overcome with pleasure and happiness. Tears fell freely from your eyes. That was twice now that he made you cum and cry. You sniffled while you both calmed down.
Franklin didn’t wait too long to roll off of you. He took off the condom with a groan and then returned to snuggle up behind you. He kissed your ear and you sighed into him, burrowing deeper. He pulled one of the blankets on top of you and you warmed up even more.
You grew drowsy as you spoke about anything that came to mind. The camp, the grounds, the stars. Your respective families. Before you drifted off, Franklin suggested that you go back to the cabins. He didn’t want you to get kicked out for his shenanigans even though you agreed to all of this.
You got dressed and looked at each other. Giggles replaced words. He went down first and made sure that you got down okay. Then he walked you to your cabin. You weren’t sure how long you two had been gone, but you knew that you’d be sore and tired in the morning.
And it’d be entirely worth it. You asked for one more kiss, no one more, okay this is the last one, honest. He placed a kiss to your hand.
“Will you go out with me tomorrow night?” He asked. You bit your lip and nodded.
You pressed your lips to his and watched as he walked backward towards his cabin. He pointed for you to go inside so you finally did, back against the door after you closed it.
You wanted to squeal. You wanted to get onto the roof of the cabin and see if you could fly. You knew better though. You didn’t want to wake Dana from her sleep. So you changed clothes and climbed into bed with a goofy ass smile on your lips.

I've Got A Dark Alley and A Bad Idea That Says You Should Shut Your Mouth (Fall Out Boy)
Joke me something awful just like kisses on the necks of "best friends"/we're the kids that feel like dead ends/and I want to be known for my hits not just my misses/took a shot and didn't even come close/and trust and love and hope/and the poets are just kids who didn't make it/and never had it at all
"It encapsulates a feeling of being stuck as a teenager or 20something. its a song about dead ends, about the memory of when all your friends were a phone call away instead of a plane ticket apart."
Farewell Wanderlust (The Amazing Devil)
I promise you im not broken, I promise you there's more/More to come, more to reach more, more to hurl at the door/Goodbye to all my darkness, there's nothing here but light/Adieu to all the faceless things that sleep with me at night/This here is not makeup, it's a porcelain tomb/And this here is not singing, I'm just screaming in tune
This here is not makeup, it's a porcelain tomb/And this here is not singing, I'm just screaming in tune
I'm the face that stares back when the screen goes to black/When your mom says you look healthy/But you know she means you got fat/I'm the tales that the guests will applaud and believe/I'm the child that you just didn't have time to conceive
"You may have taken me, and made me, but I am more than what you think, and I will /not/ let you ruin me."
"I have literally fucked up my throat by yelling this song really loudly while driving. Like, my voice was weird for multiple days afterwards. I can't put it into words but everyone I've ever heard mention the amazing devil has been so fucked up by this song."
"Ok I KNOW that this isn't going to win because no one knows the song. therefore the only mark i can leave is this rant ok. So I apologise in advance but: but did you read that absolute CALLOUT section of the lyrics i put up there?? that is only a SECTION ok. this song is so fucking weird its like someone is reaching into your soul strings and pulling on tangling them making u Feel Things like WOW. its such a. callout isnt the rigjt word for it. it just fucks one up ok. like honestly just pls pls i beg of u listen to the song or even just read the entire lyrics its so. you'll get what I mean."
"It’s about breaking under the weight of expectations and showing the world yourself in all of your imperfect, ugly, and raw glory."

"I would've preferred it if Amalia were our Queen instead."
Tumblr media
"Like many others, sweetie, but you can't say that right now."
Tumblr media
"Where did Amalia go, Mum?"
Tumblr media
"She's gone explore the world, like she usually does."
Okay, but this little piece of dialogue is crucial to understand so many things about the Sadida and their opinion on their royal family.
And we stan that little girl. Yes, baby, I, too, wish Amalia was queen instead. I don't trust Armand and Aurora as far as I can throw them.
It's already been established Armand resents his sister not only because of her wanderlust or the fact that their father seemed to favour her, but because so does their people.
The fact that there are apparently many who support Amalia, the younger princess, over her brother, the Crown Prince, comes to show that for the Sadida actions speak louder than words.
There is no denying that both royal siblings care immensely about their kingdom. Armand was in the front lines when Nox attacked alongside King Oakheart and many of Amalia's best, most mature moments were in relation to her wanting to protect and serve her people. Like when she decided to stand up against Armand and inform their father of Nox's attacks back in season one, or how she was more than willing to forego her chance to marry for love and marry Harebourg instead if that meant her kingdom would survive Ogrest's Chaos in the OVA.
The difference between the two of them, however, especially in the eyes of their people, is their actions or, more accurately, the consequences of said actions.
Armand is the Crown Prince, and he remains in their kingdom carrying out his duties while Amalia went off to explore the world and have fun, away from her duties. At first glance, that should make Armand the better choice in the eyes of the Sadida, except that also means they've probably been far more subjected to his less pleasant moments.
Having to watch your tongue out of fear of severe punishment or even death just because the prince is sensitive over his bad breath is overkill, plain and simple.
Not to mention, every time Amalia left her kingdom, her adventuring evolved into a life-or-death mission to save the world.
With Nox, the fact that she ran away allowed her to gain the intel needed to go back home and warn them of the upcoming attack. Something Armand refused to do anything about until King Oakheart entered the picture and took matters into his own hands, all because he couldn't believe his sister would ever be more than a spoiled brat trying to run away from her responsibilities.
With Quilby, what at first was a simple, humanitarian mission to retrieve his dofus and welcome the Eliatrope children eventually turned into a desperate battle for the survival of their world.
Again, in the OVAs, the entirety of the Sadida kingdom was aware and celebrated Amalia's sense of responsibility and selfless decision to enter an arranged marriage for their sake. I haven't watched beyond the Throne of Ice, so I don't know if the Sadida ever found out Harebourg's true plans for their forest, but if they did, all the more reason to respect Amalia for refusing to put her people in jeopardy.
Finally, people talk. In season 3, it's made apparent that since Aurora entered the picture (at the very least), the royal siblings' relationship has strained practically to the point of no return. And while Amalia isolated herself and mourned her father's deteriorating health, it's very likely the castle guards and servants bore witness to how the prince's treatment of his sister worsened each day. So I wouldn't be surprised if word got out and the rest of the kingdom sympathised with Amalia either.
Now, it is true that while Amalia does have a sense of responsibility and duty to her kingdom and a deep love for her people, despite her royal upbringing, she is not really made for the stifling life of royalty. Hence, her constant wanderlust. In that regard, Armand is indeed the most reliable of the two.
It just so happens that when it comes to personal flaws and his treatment of others he is wholly unreliable. It's his way or the highway. And that is a very terrifying quality for a king to have, to be unable to compromise.
But most importantly, what really sets these two apart in the way their people perceive them is that while Armand is a prince, Amalia is a hero. And she has proven time and time again that she will do everything in her power to assure everyone's safety and well-being.
And that alone speaks volumes of a ruler's true character.

Lilia, Epel: Blessing Givers, Curse Breaker
Lilia’s vignettes continue to be gold! He “humble” brags about how his voice is great, he’s sooo adorable, and such an ikemen
(Apparently he realized he was cute because people would give him free stuff and help on his travels and when he first came to NRC!) Best part was definitely when Lilia described cooking for his dorm members and they were “so touched” that they bowed their heads, covered their faces, and/or cried 💀 NOT THEM PUTTING A PICTURE OF MALEFICENT DRAGON FORM ON LILIA'S BIRTHDAY CARD
His vignettes also mention having the strength to overcome “a curse” 😭 Cruel reminders of the tragedy that unfolded in his past, and bis unfulfilled search for a cure for Silver... TWST devs, you sickos/j
A Tale as Old as Time.
Tumblr media
Three fairies crowded around a cradle, its curtained hood up to obscure the infant within. Green, pink, blue—each was dressed in a particular color. They glanced at the baby and at each other, mouths agape to discuss their blessings.
Safeguarded within the platinum frame was a celebration of life and a future yet to be told. The fragile start of a brand new story.
Lilia wanted to protect it himself.
“Looks like some fancy shindig.” The remark came from Epel, who gazed upon the same painting. "Erm... I mean, party. That is what it is, right...?"
"They've come to bestow gifts upon a newborn princess. Royal affairs can be a bit stiff, I'm afraid. Can't even show up to one without an invitation! Some hosts are just sticklers for tradition and protocol."
"Oh, I got it!" Epel visibly perked, cheeks appling with pink. "It's a different kind of gathering. Back home in Harveston, they're a lot more informal. Family and all the neighbors coming by with plates of warm food, a makeshift band and folks dancing, catching up by the fire... It's so lively."
Lilia’s lip curled, the corners lifting into a slight smile. "It's good to know that your hometown hasn't lost its charm."
"You've visited before?"
"Once, long ago," the ancient fae chuckled, "when I was still a stubborn and stony-faced youth. The people of Harveston opened their hearts and offered hospitality. From what you've told me, it's clear that the very same spirit from then persists to this day."
"Gosh, really?" Epel puffed up at that, as though he were a peacock flaunting his feathers. "Hehe, wellll, Harveston does have a way of makin' ya feel cozy and right at home, even if yer far away from it!"
"That it does." Lilia's eyes traced the wall of artwork before him. The colors, shapes, and textures. "Twisted Wonderland is so vast and diverse. I've traveled far and wide, experienced a great deal of cultures, yet I always find myself anchored to that one special place called home. There is no comfort like it."
There’s no place like home.
A twinge pulsated in his chest. The pain, marring the nostalgic warmth he bathed in. Lilia did not let it show—not to his underclassman, not this child that stared at him with such eagerness.
He swallowed.
“How do you celebrate in Briar Valley?” Epel asked. “Can you tell me about your traditions too?”
“Kufufu. You’re keen on learning, I see.”
“I didn’t always. I’m sure if you asked Vil, he’d give you a mouthful about how ‘uppity’ and ‘full of myself’ I was at first.” Epel groaned at the thought of another lecture from his dorm leader. “
But recently, I’ve been thinkin’ it’s not too bad to hear about how others experience everything.
“Meemaw—my grandma—goes to the city to sell our farm’s produce. She has to switch up how she talks to speak to the locals. I noticed our mayor too, when he talks to tourists. So learning about new people and cultures can’t be a bad thing.”
Epel’s eyes were wide, sparkling with wanderlust. Wistful and longing for the world that awaited him.
Perhaps Lilia had worn the same expression before, at the moment of his epiphany. When had he realized it? When the elderly couple had draped a blanket over him, when they shared a meal, when they spun him the stories of their lives, or when he sat at the cradle and relived those times to a still dormant Malleus?
The warmth in him expanded, like a gulp of soup trickling down his throat, then splashing in his stomach. It had been a humble broth of vegetables, and yet it satisfied him down to the last drop.
“We’re really not so different,” Lilia explained with a grin. “Food and friends are all you need to have a good time wherever you are.
“However, if you are particularly fortunate, you just may have a guardian fairy descend and give you blessings as well.” He indicated the painting of the three fairies hovering over a cradle. “Like so. I believe this infant was gifted with song, beauty, and
”
“Song and beauty?!” Epel’s expression crinkled. “Who decided on those, the parents?”
“The guardian fairies themselves. They choose what they believe will bring the blessed child happiness.”
“They could’ve given the kid something more
” Epel vaguely waved a hand. “I don’t know, useful? Why not strength so they won’t lose any fights? I’d be happy with some more muscle of my own
”
Lilia laughed, soft and low like a midnight whisper. “Why not indeed.”
Because time steals away everything eventually, hissed a voice in his head. The truth, bare and bitter.
The edges of Lilia’s vision quivered. A memory resurfaced—blink, and he saw himself in the frame, his long shadow cast over the crib. Blink, and that was Silver nestled in the fabric. Blink, and the castle was abandoned and covered in thorns.
A fairy robbing a crib of its cursed child.
“Strength is good to have,” Lilia said slowly, “but it will not last forever. Not many things do.”
Still
If I could have one wish, it would be

The only force able to break the spell set upon Silver. The one feeling he was certain he was incapable of. A love so pure and honest, it was known to be true.
Something he wasn’t worthy of.
True love.
Not him. Not the grimy, low-born bat of a dubious past—as his most unkind of thoughts would insist.
He was the same as them. He had condemned Silver to walking in the night, had made the decision for him. The instant his hair had turned from pale sunshine to the moonlight of his namesake, it was too late to unwind the clock.
Which had he cast—blessing or curse?
The longer he looked at the painting, the more mocking the gentle, rounded faces of the guardian fairies seemed to become. Guiltless, oblivious beings, they were.
They would never know of his plight.
Lilia scoffed. “If the fairies wanted the child to be happy, they should have granted them that strength.”
That which was impossible for him.
"The power to overcome a curse.”
"... The power to overcome a curse, huh?" Epel quietly mused. "Not even Vil-senpai has that kind of strength--and his unique magic is to cast curses! Until the conditions are fulfilled, it can't be broken."
"That's the trouble with curses," Lilia agreed. "They're finicky, depending on how they're woven. Some may even last a lifetime without ever being lifted. Others may spend their own lives seeking out cures."
The story of his life. He was always searching for something, something, something. Lost friends, how to hatch a dragon's egg, true love to dispel drowsiness.
Now, a happy ending.
Lilia released a sigh through his nose.
If only.
"Well, if magic can't make that wish come true... we'll just have to make it a reality ourselves, won't we?"

Ritsu Sakuma x Reader ♡ Tags: Fluff, established relationship, casual romance, really wholesome, INTRO IS REALLY LONG, SORRY!, she/her pronouns ♡ Word count: 2,215 ♡ Synopsis: Inspired by the Meowsketeers scout story in which this card is featured in. I've been trying to read the scout stories since I never read them, and I thought that this one would be cute to add the reader in! Please note that this fic does not stay true to the story, but it has taken bits from it. A/N: There needs to be more Ritsu x reader fics.
Tumblr media
Drenched in sweat, Ritsu slowly woke up from his nap in the ES gardens. His mind was still filled with thoughts of what happened the other day when Tsukasa confronted and withdrew some of the new members of Knights.
Ritsu pitied them, but what was said was the mere truth. That's the way Knights operated, it was never a unit to have fun with as an idol. But seeing those tearful faces did take a toll on him.
At that moment, Ritsu felt something heavy weighing on him. It wasn't what happened that day, but something physical that he could feel near his stomach.
'Who is it? Am I being attacked? It's not those pranks Tsukipi set up, right?' he thought tiredly. Unless it's (Y/N)...? No... she said she'd be busy today–
Ritsu was getting annoyed. "Hold on. You don't disturb people when they're sleeping!" he groaned. "Now I'm in a bad mood... Don't mess with me– Huh?"
Eyes wide open, Ritsu found that on his stomach was a black cat.
"Ugh, so it was this guy!" he fumed. "Get off! You're heavy and it's too hot...!"
Yet the cat wouldn't budge. It stayed lying on Ritsu's stomach as if he were a pillow. Ritsu wasn't having any of it though, no one dares disturb his sleep even if they were a cat! Getting angrier by the second, he decided to fight it off him.
"Hey! Ow! Don't dig your claws in me!"
"That Suo, he's late!" exclaimed Leo. "What a troublesome guy! I came early today since he gets angry at me when I come late."
"Unbelievable! He's wasting my precious time!" Izumi chided. "This is so annoying. Did your wanderlust infect Kasa-kun?"
Leo laughed. "Eh? What, what? Wahaha, that's funny, Sena! I suppose it's fate that Knights' leader is to be cursed by wanderlust!"
Frantic footsteps could be heard as Tsukasa barged into the studio panting. He apologised, mentioning to his seniors that he got involved in a little incident with Ritsu. That was when Ritsu entered the room, still arguing with the black cat he encountered outside.
"I told you to let go of me, didn't I?! Why can't you understand me, you stupid cat?!" Ritsu growled. "Do my clothes smell like catnip or something...?"
"A stray cat got attached to Ritsu-senpai and it won't let go of him," stated Tsukasa.
"Unbelievable. This was why you were late?" said Izumi. "There's got to be some way to pull it off. Just grab it by the neck like how a parent cat carries a kitchen– Owah! This guy tried to scratch me! If you were human, I'd have you pay compensation!"
Arashi suggested that they all calm down and get started on the retrospective – the reason why they were holding a meeting in the first place. If they ignore the cat, perhaps it would let Ritsu go!
But as Arashi started playing the video of their live, Leo noticed something. In the video, Leo pointed out the front row seats where beside a fan's feet, a black cat was seen.
"This guy, it saw Ritsu at Knights' live and came to meet him!" said Leo excitedly.
"Hah...? No way! That sounds so unrealistic," Ritsu replied before turning to the cat which started showing him affection. "Owah, what? Don't start licking my cheek!"
"Given its reaction, it probably did come to meet Knights," said Tsukasa. "Isn't it just the cutest? It probably fell in love with Ritsu-senpai's brave figure at the live!"
"What?! Don't say things so nonchalantly!"
But the other members of Knights had agreed to let the cat do what it wanted despite Ritsu's comments on how much of a disaster this was.
The cat didn't let go of him even during the retrospective. It lay sound asleep on Ritsu's lap. Knights had come up with a name for the cat too, 'd'Artagnyan', their 'newest knight that was drawn in by Knights.'
Ritsu didn't like this idea at all. He didn't see any resemblance between him and the cat that his fellow members were constantly pointing out too. Though, he didn't want to just kick it out. He wanted it to leave on its own volition.
"It clings to you like how you cling onto (Y/N)," stated Arashi causing Ritsu to erupt into a steam of embarrassment. "Maybe it finds your scent comforting~? If so, it might be satisfied with something that has Ritsu-chan's scent on it..."
"Something with my scent?" Ritsu repeated. "Ah, I just came to an unpleasant conclusion..."
He was talking about his favourite blanket – the only thing in this studio that had his scent on it. But there was no way that Ritsu wanted to give this unlucky cat his favourite blanket!
"Ah, wait! Don't suddenly pounce for my blanket, you idiot cat!" huffed Ritsu as he tried to yank the blanket away. He was now on the floor fighting with the cat. "Give it back! I don't want such an unlucky cat to use my blanket! Guys, please help me out here!"
"Oi, oi. There's no need to get so worked up over something like this, right, Ritsu?" said Leo. "I know it's annoying, but it'll be dangerous if you get violent in here, no?"
"But I really like this blanket! I won't allow it to use it! Ah, don't scratch it–"
"Please calm down, Ritsu-senpai...!" sputtered Tsukasa.
But before Izumi could assert himself to scold Ritsu, you had rushed into the studio. Arashi had texted you about the situation before they started their retrospective, hoping that you'd come to solve the issue at hand. After all, you solved a lot of their problems before, it became customary to ask you for help.
"Ritsu, are you okay?" you asked worriedly, bending down. "Hey, what's wrong? You're not usually like this."
"(Y-Y/N)?!" Ritsu blurted, perplexed at your sudden appearance. "W-What are you doing here?"
You answered that even though you were busy with your own assignments today, you couldn't just ignore what was happening with Knights, with him.
"Is this what's bothering you?" You tried picking up the cat, but it immediately started hissing at you. "Ah! Okay, I'm not going to pick you up then...! Anyway, Arashi texted me all the details already. Why don't you just give up the blanket, Ritsu?"
"N-No!" he cried. "I can't!"
"I don't understand why you like that blanket so much," said Izumi. "I'll buy you a new one if that makes you happy–"
"That's not it! (Y/N) bought me this one!"
Everyone had gone silent over that fact.
"Then I'll buy you a new one," you offered.
"No!" Ritsu protested. "You got this for me when we were first years! I can't just let that go!"
Ritsu usually wasn't this worked up, so you knew he was upset about something other than his blanket. But you also knew that he was a very sentimental person too, so you couldn't just force him to give up something that he truly loved. It was sweet that he had kept this blanket up until now though. It showed how much he loved you.
"I have an idea," you suddenly said. You rummaged through your bag and pulled out a white sweater. "This also has Ritsu's scent on it."
"Wait," Ritsu began. "That's my sweater."
"Mhm, my favourite one too!" you giggled. "If we give the cat this, then it'll give up on the blanket!"
"B-But (Y/N), you love that sweater...!" he said.
"I do, but you love that blanket too, right? I'll give this up so you can have your blanket back!"
With how selfless and thoughtful you were being, Ritsu had finally cooled down.
"N-No, it's fine," he said sadly. "I'll let it keep the blanket, you keep the sweater, okay? I'm sorry, everyone, I went overboard. I didn't mean to hurt anyone."
"Ritsu..."
He picked up his blanket with the cat still attached to it and left the building quietly. The meeting with Knights had come to an end. You sighed, apologised and thanked Knights for putting up with your boyfriend before following after him.
Ritsu was situated on one of the tables at the ES gardens, his head laid on his arms as he watched the black cat sleep in his blanket.
"It's my fault that Knights ended up fighting again... If only this cat hadn't been there. No, I should've been calmer..." he murmured. "It would've been better if I had analysed the situation calmly like I usually do, and brought it to a positive conclusion..."
"Ritsu~" you called out.
With the sound of your voice, his eyes immediately gravitated towards you. He didn't lift his head though, he was too tired for that.
"(Y/N)..."
"Here," you said, pressing a cold can of soda to his cheek. He cried at the coldness but quickly covered his mouth from being too loud. He didn't want to wake up the cat despite how annoying it was today.
"Ah, thank you..." he said, taking the can from you. He laid it in front of him, not opening it. "(Y/N), I'm really sorry about earlier. You were busy, and Nacchan had to call you over to deal with something so small."
"Eh, it's okay~," you said. From behind, you wrapped your arms around his neck, holding him close to you. "I'm nearly finished with my assignments anyway. But Ritsu, are you really okay?"
Ritsu strained a smile, but he held your arm in a way to comfort himself. "I'm fine now. I'm going to sit here and reflect on my actions until this stupid cat wakes up. If I ignored the cat in the studio and it gets restless, it might be even more troublesome."
You laughed. "It's so cute when it's sleeping. It reminds me of you."
"Eeehhh? Why does everyone keep saying that?" he asked.
"Well, it's cute and you're cute! Also, it takes naps just like you, hehe~"
Ritsu sighed but laughed along. "Ah, you're wearing the sweater," he said, finally noticing the baggy look on you.
"Yep! I'm glad I didn't need to give it up in the end, but I do feel sad that you had to give your favourite blanket away," you said.
"It's fine. Maybe it'll let it go later..." he started. "Well, I hope it does anyway. I really do like that blanket..."
He chuckled, reminiscing the time you first got him the blanket. The two of you met just before entering Yumenosaki. You were Mao's friend initially, but he had introduced you to Ritsu during the time he had to repeat his first year. Ritsu had treated you coldly at first, but when you spotted him sleeping in the gardens, coming to know of his illness, you had decided to gift him a blanket for him to use.
It was a blanket you had bought at a shop in town, nothing special, but Ritsu thought the world of it. Even when he treated you so poorly, you were still so nice to him – to accommodate him in this way. He grew fond of the blanket, but he mostly grew fond of you.
After that day, he stuck to you just like the cat he was watching now.
"You know, I'm surprised it's still kept in good condition after all these years," you pointed out. "We're in our third year now... and it still looks brand new."
"I take good care of my things, (Y/N)~," he said. "And I'll be keeping that blanket for as long as I can."
You smiled and gave him a peck on the back of his head. "Anyway, aren't you going to tell me what got you so riled up? It can't just be because of the cat, right?"
"Ah, right..." he said. He opened the can that you gave him and began to drink the contents of it. "So, this is what happened..."
He explained everything to you, recalling what happened that day when they had to withdraw some of the new Knights members. He was honest with his feelings, how bad he felt when he saw those tearful faces, how bad he felt when he knew that those dreams were being crushed.
But after some reassurance from you, Ritsu felt a lot better. That's when Tsukasa showed up to check up on him too. A suggestion of finding foster parents for the cat was brought up which Ritsu agreed to.
By time, he grew fond of the cat albeit he still wanted it gone. But things had resolved themselves, and Ritsu was back to his calm, analytical self again.
You had come to say goodbye to the cat, d'Artagnyan, too. This time, it had let you hold it.
"Hehe, it really does remind me of you," you told Ritsu who immediately turned red. "Don't miss Ritsu too much, you hear me~? I hope you live a comfortable life."
Watching you be so gentle with the cat like that had Ritsu feeling some sort of way. He smiled gently to himself, appreciating that you were there with him, that you were there to console him and to listen to every word he had to say. There was nothing better in this world – even his favourite blanket – that would compare to you.
