Maybe it's a filter on the photos, but for some reason this 1926 (reno'd in 2021) home, called "The Glen" creeps me out. It's located in Boardman, OH, has 5bds, 7ba, and the owner is offering the buyer a $5000 shopping spree for the furniture and accessories inside. (Maybe I'm not the only one who feels creeped out- it's been on the market for 238 days.) $679,500. Take a look:

Yet another image+text post and today's text post i wanna finish with Year of Chen videos by discussing the last video (YIIK 2022 05 29 17 41 39 Old Secret). Unlike the Blue Fog bug this video starts with being already in somewhat bugged or not usual game's state and Alex being in this closed circle under Frankton.

In game currently there's no known legit way to get in here, the way i used is using ladder to walk over map collider's but in the video there's no ladder in view, so i would assume that author of the video either found some uknown yet way to get there or got it in non legit way(such as Unity Explorer mod that can let you do a lot of stuff with the game). As you can see in both my screenshot and the YT video from this spot you can get acess to "Frankton Maple Street" enterance to Frankon and upon interacting with it the video's author goes to FUCKING OLD FRANKTON.

SO IS THAT IT?DID THE YEAR OF CHEN FIND OUT HOW TO GET THE ENDING 3 ALREADY 2 YEARS AGO AND SOMEHOW NO ONE NOTICED IT???? Well.....not quite. I checked this myself and yes you will get to old frankton and can do ending 3 from there and will spawn in the same exact spot as in the video, so what's the issue? The issue is that you can't enter it, you will get the popup suggesting to interact however no matter how many times you use interact button it won't work. Personally i had to use the previously mentioned Unity Explorer mod to enable this area, so again either the author of this video did the same or there's some secret way to enable it. Btw, the whole "you will get the popup but you can't interact with it" probably sounds familiar to you if you ever went out of bounds in yiik and tried to interact with The Tower in current version counting that in 1.25 it was added that you can't get in the tower without having specific variable in your save file, so first of all i tried to interact with Frankton Maple Street while having all the required variables for the tower aaand no they don't work. Then i thought about how the requirements to enter the Tower were added only in 1.25, so maybe just like with Tower you could enter it in pre 1.25 version? So, i downloaded pre 1.25 version of yiik aaaaaand nope, you still can't enter it. Tho for me the strangest part of this was that it was even there at all counting how it leads to the Old Frankton, which was added in game's files at all only in 1.25. So i yet again tried to turn it on manually to see where it leads in this version aaaaand.....infinite loading screen. So the only implication i see from this fact is that the Old Frankton was already planned to be in game and wasn't made yet, while the code to have one specific hidden Frankton entrance to lead to it was already there. Lastly i want to mention this video's description:"I figured this out. There is another way in. It is not of use. The secret entrance may have been useful at one point. It is not accessible. It does not work as intended. But it is there. I think it will work once it is discovered organically. There was once a set of stairs where I began. I believe they are still there. I'll keep looking." Imo the most interesting part of this is the "There was once a set of stairs where i began.I believe they are still there." since it's very strange and cryptics and i have no idea what is it talking about, also since this is the last video so the "i'll keep looking" part probably didn't work out. The only "set of stairs" that are mysterious in yiik that i can think of are stairs from Essentia's mind dungeon to Alex's mind dungeon, that are mentioned in the dialogue but appear only in unused version of Essentia's MD.

Marshall Merchandise Update!

Got some interesting new additions for my collection to show off today! Eventually, I need to show everything off again... as soon as I get things organized again. I still have items I bought from early last year that I still haven't found a spot for yet. I've been slacking! lol

First off, this lapel pin... being graciously held up by Wolf O'Donnell. There's probably a "can't let you do that" joke in here somewhere, but I can't think of any right off hand. 😅

This was actually sent to me by a friend, who recently paid a visit to Nickelodeon Universe (an indoor theme park). While she was there, she seen this and got it for me, hoping it was something I didn't have. Fortunately, it wasn't! A fine item for my collection, indeed! She'll likely see this post later, so if you're reading this, thank you again!

Actually, I believe she also went a year or two ago and managed to find the Meet & Greet Marshall wandering around. She even got a picture & video with him, too. I was quite envious! 😄

Next, this "magic towel" thing. It's also being held up by another wolf - this time, it's Wolf Link, from "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess". Can you tell I'm a bit of a Nintendo gamer? lol

Anyhoo, I was just doing some shopping with my mother in a dollar store when I happened to stumble upon this. It was only $1.25, so... why not get it? The artwork isn't the best, but hey, I still like it.

Next, one of those "Good 2 Grow" snack containers! Actually, funny story about this one. I was at a gas station, not expecting to see anything pertaining to PAW Patrol, when I seen one of these that someone left at the front near the cashier. However...

It was actually one of Zuma, which surprised me, since they usually pass him up to focus on the main four. I meant to post about it on Twitter/X, but like usual, I forgot. In any case, I decided to track one down, and I soon found one of Marshall at Walmart. It was the last one, too! Unless I'm mistaken, they also had one of Liberty, so I guess they went beyond just the six original pups this time. Nice!

As you might recall, we've actually seen products like this before, about a year or two ago. Back then, it was just the pups in their regular outfits. This time, they went with a superhero theme, no doubt due to The Mighty Movie. I'm not sure why they went with Super Paws and not the Mighty Movie outfits, but maybe these were easier to mold. Who knows, but hey, I quite like it when older outfits get brought back, instead of them getting forgotten in the sands of time.

I just wish we could see THIS outfit again someday. It had a brief reappearance in that "Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay" video game, but that's it so far. Sadly, at this point, I doubt we'll ever see it again.

Er... guess I got a little distracted here, sorry!

Last, and absolutely not least, is this brand new item! Something I knew about for many months and couldn't wait to get a hold of one for myself! It's "Storytime with Marshall" by Leap Frog!

(In hindsight, taking these pictures in front of my monitor may not have been the best idea. Hopefully they're not too hard to see. 😅)

This thing is legitimately super awesome! They really got his likeness down so well here! I mean, seriously, just look at it! It's so cute! It's easily one of the best pieces of merch I've got in my collection now!

According to the box, it can do quite a lot. It includes 40+ stories, which I assume are based on various episodes (I haven't listened to them yet, but I also assume they focus on different pups, going by the buttons on the front... yeah, it's a shame there's no Rocky or Zuma again, I know). It has a sleep timer, to help lull the little ones to sleep at night before shutting off and all that. Additionally, it teaches "core learning skills" or something, whatever that means. That's cool and all, but of course, for me, I just wanted it because I absolutely love how it looks. It'll look great on one of my shelves! lol

I'll admit, I'm glad this came out before the new animation style got applied. While I like Marshall's updated season 11 look so far (I might make a separate post about that later), his original design is still my #1 favorite. A part of me hopes to keep collecting more merchandise of THIS Marshall, but I know that, by next year, they'll probably retire this design and start using the new one, permanently. Guess I'll enjoy it while it lasts. 😅

And that's all for now! I currently have another item coming in the mail; Marshall's new Rescue Wheels big wheel vehicle + figurine. It's been delayed, but it's supposed to show up at some point next week. Hopefully, the remaining Rescue Wheels merchandise will show up in stores soon enough, and I'll be able to show them all off soon. I might also have to buy a Boomer figurine, too. lol

Height fact checking - 2023 edition

Dear all, do you remember this?

Back in 2022, when the only good grill the grid video came out, I decided to factcheck the height the drivers claimed to be with this grid photo of them through complicated and absurd calculations.

The whole thing was kinda shit because they were walking and had fluffy hair in the wind and it was highly inaccurate.

Well.

It's time for round 2!

It took me hours to correct the perspective the best I could. Then I applied the same logic than last time which was fiding a px/cm ratio based on one of the drivers to infer the others' height. It got complicated. I had to do 2 series of measures because the ones on the platform are further away than the ones at the front. You also want to pick someone towards the middle of the photo as a benchmark because they're least subject to lense deformation but for the lower rank it meant not seeing their feet and in the upper rank, I saw on another photo angle that Guanyu was standing back compared to the others. In the end, I used Valtteri and Max as benchmarks. I used lines based on the platform and relative position of the drivers to get an idea of where their feet were and get a base to measure from.

Here's what I found :

You can tell I did not correct the perspective well enough because there are consistent error trends as you move further from the middle, although the green lines tell you that the platform measures pretty much the same thing from one side to the other. The results are way more accurate than last time but it's still just a silly little fun thing so don't take it too seriously!

Detailed comments under the cut :

Max was used as a benchmark so I have no comments about that. Sergio measures 173cm as he said. Last time I found him to be slightly taller than that. Once again, I argue that Seb is wrong, whatever he thinks, Charles is indeed 180cm.

On the platform, you can tell Guanyu was indeed standing back as I said, because he appears smaller than he is and what I found last time. In 2022, Lando seemed to be much shorter than he actually is but he had a weird position. It seems correct this time. Of course Piastri wasn't there last year. I found online he's listed as measuring 178cm. I found 177 which is not far off. Valtteri was the benchmark so no comments about that. In 2022 he was positioned on one of the side which means more probability of him being in a weird perspective which probably explains the off measurement.

Now that's were it starts to get tricky. On the ground rank, George and Lewis seem to have accurate heights. In 2022, Lewis was the benchmark which explains the neat 174cm. In 2023 he is ~174cm EVEN THOUGH he's standing on his tippy toes. Yep. He is. If you look carefully at his right foot, you can see his heel is not on the ground. Silly short king.

But on the upper rank, we start to see an error trend. Lance is the right height, he seemed way taller in 2022 but it might just be down to fluffy hair. Alonso is a weird case because he's 1cm taller than he claims AND that was also the case in 2022. He might just be wrong about how tall he is lol. And then we see both Alpha Tauri boys are pretty much 1cm taller than they claim. That's probably down to perspective issues. It's kinda weird that they only affect the top rank and not the bottom rank but then again, Nyck and Yuki are further left than George and Lewis so it might be because of that.

And here we have issues.

Bottom rank : Carlos +1.5 ; Pierre + 2.75, Este + 1.25. In the video, one of the tall drivers said the tall drivers have terrible posture. My bet is if Este was standing straight his measurement would be even more off and we could see a clear trend of people gaining cm the more to the right of the picture they are. That's down to me not correcting well enough despite my efforts rather than them lying. How do I know?

Because the same thing happened on the top rank : Hulkenberg +1 ; Magnussen +2 ; Alex +2 ; Sargeant +1.5. We find ourselves with a similar case of people gradually gaining centimetres the further right they are. Sargeant is a weird anomaly. Either

he's shorter than he claims to be and the difference is closer to 2 or 2.5,

he's standing closer to the camera than the others are, but it's difficult to say because we can't see Alex's feet although when I look at the Haas boys feet compared to his it doesn't really seem to be the case

something is really really weird with the perspective being warped like ⬇️ this even though the lines around them are straight? 🤔 Seems weird to me.

Anyway here's a summary of the errors trends :

Conclusion : the height claims are boringly mostly accurate.

Why I don't like Unity

There's three reasons, basically, besides my personal inability to get any custom character assets into Unity, Unreal, or Godot.

Let me tell you below the readmore.

Reason #1: it managed to fucking bluescreen my system just trying to start.

How do you fuck that up? I download an installer and run it. This gives me a launcher. From there, I'm supposed to install the actual product I wanted to begin with. That's bad enough, to be honest. But then the fucking launcher managed to break so badly, I had my first BSOD in several months. With all I do to my poor laptops, I so very rarely got crashes like that it honestly threw me the fuck off.

If the launcher is gonna play like that, forget about installing the actual product.

Reason #2: CPU pegging up the ass.

On my previous laptop, attempting to run basically any Unity-based game would peg the CPU, all cores, until the poor thing ran so hot within mere minutes, it'd commit preventative sudoku. Maybe if I was lucky, I'd get a chance to set all the things to "lowest", and that might let me, I dunno, play long enough to get through the goddamn tutorial?

And I'm not even talking about state-of-the-art 3D games, but simple 2D games with low-resolution pixel art. Why would those run a dual-core at 200% until it fucking kills itself? Makes no sense.

Now, Phil Fortier of Icefall Games is an acquaintance of mine via SCI shenanigans, and when he released Snow Spirit (soon to be rereleased as part of Chronicles of Cascadia), I lamented to him about how his use of Unity would mean I couldn't run any of his stuff. So Phil looked into it and found a Big Fucking Thing to optimize. This basically makes Phil's SCI games the only things made in Unity that I can personally trust won't Do That.

Reason #3: About those 2D games...

I'm gonna dip into my Twitter archives for a bit and repost some stuff for this part.

This is Angel Jump, a simple little arcade jumping game that's available on itch.io:

It's delightfully low resolution and has like four seconds of audio all added up. Can't be more than a few MB, depending on which sane development framework they used, right?

33 MB, actually. Because Unity. Let's see how it breaks down:

Unity main exe: 623 KB

Main game assets file: 1.19 MB together

A folder full of support DLLs like terrain and cloth: 7.17 MB, 90% or more of them never called because this is a 2D pixel-art game.

Unity's default resources: 3.41 MB. Mind that of these, only the splash logo is actually used because Angel Jump was made in the free edition.

Mono embedded runtime: 2.61 MB, and each game gets its own copy, much like how Electron apps each have their own copies of Chromium.

And another 17 MB for the Unity Player.

All in all, 33 MB of files for a game like that. Why? Because Unity is a bloated crapsack, I'd conclude from a cursory study like that. Let's compare that to some other games.

This is Elevator Girl, which is not on itch.io.

It has a lot of different animations and three fairly long background music tracks. It's only one file, 18.7 MB. I'm willing to bet most of that is the BGM, but I can't confirm it because it's just the one file.

And just for some historical perspective, the entire Crystal Caves trilogy is 1.31 MB, including some chaff. Commander Keen 4 on its own is 740 KB. Now, Keen and Elevator Girl both have OPL soundtracks, but the latter's is probably streamed.

Noxico is only 1.25 MB to download as a .7z file. Its only optimization that I myself actively apply is that I crunch the PNG files. The rest is text, and since the game uses a .zip file by another name as a game data source... yeah. That's a cheap win.

Now, back to Angel Jump. I went through the game's own resources to see what size it could conceivably have if it was not made in Unity. 54 textures, ten of them actually used. Tiny font stored in a weird way, possibly for distance field trickery which has no business in a 2D pixel game if you ask me. 921 KB of WAV files, high-quality bleepity-bloops, two of them jingles. 4.22 KB of PNG files, crunched like Noxico, for all but the creator's logo and the font. 973 KB for a copy of SDL, and I'd estimate at worst two MB for the main EXE.

The entire Angel Jump game could be no more than 4 MB and a half-dozen files, It's actually 33.2 MB, 92 files.

There's a more general computer programming issue that this reliance on Unity for even the simplest, smallest games seems to spring from: the bigger and better the computers get, the more lazy the developers get. Only have like four MHz, 640 KB of RAM and, what, 720 KB of diskette space, and no guarantee of an HDD? Better make the most of it, developers! But now the pressure's off and there's no more reason to exert any effort into keeping small games actually small.

Genuinely the last two hours of my shift was insane.

1pm: I visit a resident who doesn't need much help. I haven't checked on her all day except for bringing meals. Ask if she needs anything. "1000 boxes of chocolate" okay, that's beyond me, but I'll try for some chocolate! She's immediately trying to talk me out of it "it was a joke!"

1.05 pm: help a bloke into bed. He insists on first bumping me every minutes cos we're working well as a team. This genuinely made it harder, but so much more fun!

1.10 pm: paperwork

1.20 pm: sneak into the receptionist office looking for her secret chocolate. Encounter nurse. Explain what I'm doing and he goes, "oh, I stole some chocolate earlier, here, have the whole box!"

1.25: find four resident together, two walking pushing the other two on wheelchairs. Only one of the ladies in a wheelchair is okay with this. They are all fighting very loudly about who's being helpful and who isnt. Intervene, remove the lady in the chair who doesn't want to be pushed. One of the walking ladies grabs the others' 4 wheel frame and pushes it out of reach to punish her.

1.30: having returned the frame and de-escalated everything, I'm now outside with the lady in the wheelchair to show her the flowers so she knows things are calm. She's very happy with me. She used to volunteer with a native wildlife conservation group that spent a lot of time planting trees.

1.45: attend call bell. Resident is having a seizure. Wife is very upset. Get resident in bed, call nurse, help wife calm down

1.55: swing by first resident's room, give her a box of chocolates. She's overjoyed, can barely talk she's laughing so much

2.00: chat with colleague about the ladies' fight earlier. He heaves, like, the biggest sigh! Begin tea and coffee service

2.05: my involvement in tea and coffee service comes to end, as seizure guy has another seizure. Call a nurse, no answer. Colleague comes by and recognises the seriousness, I can hear her yelling at the nurse on her radio to come now while I try to keep the wife calm (seizures are very scary looking!)

2.20: nurse is here! She explains another resident has absconded, which is why they're busy. I know the bloke who's absconded well, so I volunteer to look for him. I no use to seizure guy compared to a nurse

2.25: meet the nurse who's outside searching. "I can't ask you to do this, because then I'm responsible for anything that might happen to you. But I would like it if you looked for him." Okay, fine, I get it i guess. Also, you snuck me chocolate earlier for that Resi, so I feel fond

2.30: I get lucky and find him. He dawdles back to the facility with me. We talk about political history and why there are no pubs in walking distance

2.45: hastily do my paperwork. Lots of behaviour charting today! And everyone wants to ask me where I found the missing resident (the answer isn't funny, but people laugh anyway, cos what else can we do? He got like three blocks away to the main road. He was trying to catch a tram. It's scary)

2.50: spend five min with seizure guy's daughter because she looked upset. Ambulance is here for him now and she'd left the room to give everyone some air

2.55: visit a resident in another wing who just got back from hospital. He usually visits me when I'm on shift so I was worried to not see him, sure enough he's very short of breath and can't walk far (hence going to hospital yesterday). Help him to bed, tell the nurses, they already know

3.00: home time!

1) Good LORD. So this show took a real nosedive bc it reached a natural and good conclusion at the end of season 4, so all of the good writers left. But Showtime dragged its corpse around for another 4 seasons. And in the awful finale it ends with him steering a boat into a hurricane and becoming a lumberjack

+ Ended around the same time as Breaking Bad and there was some hype in comparing finales but Breaking Bad was a consistently excellent show while Dexter was at beast fun but kinda bad. Truly a hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby situation

Pandora Hearts - 1.25 Beyond the Winding Road

this may be way too niche of a pick lol, but the manga is sooooo good and unfortunately the anime didn't get to cover like...90% of its best content (it was cancelled relatively early into the manga's run) and so they had to make up a completely different ending than the manga eventually got and it is...Not Very Good. Like even on its own its pretty disappointing and leaves a lot of stuff hanging but then when you compare it to the actual finale of the manga it gets even worse in comparison

The cramps did not let go of your body, even after your stomach became completely empty.

This bitch, you growled... you shook your head trying to calm down, but now you wanted to kill this creature. You always noticed that her interest in Yoongi was too manic and obsessive. You guessed that most likely she knew about your relationship with Yoongi, given the hatred with which she looked at you every time. But this... this was beyond your understanding. You clenched your jaw, realizing that the anger that filled every cell of your body returned your strength.

You got up from the floor and headed into the room. You quickly got dressed and grabbed your car keys and headed to the office.

You walked up to the manager's floor and your jaw tensed when you heard Yoongi's loud voice, clearly scolding someone. You clenched your fists when you saw Yoongi screaming at this girl while everyone else looked at them with their mouths open in shock.

“_______” Yoongi breathed out your name when he saw you.

You grabbed the keyboard from a nearby desk as you approached the bitch. You hit this girl in the jaw with all your strength with the keyboard, causing the buttons to fly in different directions. You laughed as she collapsed on the floor spitting out blood, screaming in pain. You kicked her in the stomach as hard as you could. Now you didn't care anymore even if you went to jail for killing this bitch. Two strong arms lifted you into the air before you swung your leg again for another hit, pulling you back as you taunted this bitch.

You chuckled as you turned your gaze to a completely dumbfounded Yoongi, who was staring at you with his mouth open. You've never seen Yoongi in complete shock before.

POV Hoseok

Hoseok was still standing in complete shock from the story he heard from Namjoon. How can this even be true? Hoseok looked over at Yoongi who was shouting at one of their managers. He doesn't condone Yoongi's behavior, but it was just a nightmare. How can someone do this to another person, Hoseok looked with disgust at the girl who drugged Yoongi to have sex with him. Although he couldn’t even dare to call it sex.

“This must be some kind of collective nightmare that we can’t wake up from,” said Jungkook, who was on the verge of tears, in a trembling voice.

Hoseok closed his eyes, covering his face with his hands, unable to cope with the emotions that tore him apart. He felt tears run down his cheeks as the reality of what was happening hit him like an avalanche. He quickly wiped away his tears, not wanting Jungkook to cry when he saw his tears.

“______” he breathed out your name when he saw you walking past the room they were in. Your face was filled with rage, causing a chill to run down his spine. Hoseok walked out of the office, following you. He froze when he saw you smash the keyboard on face that girl before kicking her hard. He ran towards you, pulling you back, not giving you the chance to throw another punch. He turned with you, and saw Jungkook and Jimin, who, like Yoongi, were not able to move looking at you in shock as you continued to laugh. Hoseok quickly walked out with you in his arms, heading as far away from the place as possible.

Hoseok only let you go when he locked the door to his studio. You fell to the floor and his heart broke into a million pieces, watching as laughter and tears mixed into one, leaving you choking. He fell to his knees next to you, squeezing you tightly in his arms, trying to somehow calm you down.

This idiot, Hoseok growled, realizing that most likely Yoongi sent you a video of that night. Your laughter turned into a scream, trying to escape his grip, hitting him again and again.

"Everything is fine!" Hoseok repeated again and again, gritting his teeth, taking every blow from you, in the hope that this would somehow help you cope with the pain and reality. And why something so terrible had to happen to you, he couldn't control the tears that flowed down his cheeks. You clutched his shirt, pressing yourself against his body, sobbing loudly in his arms.

He turned his gaze to the door when he heard a loud knock. "Get out!" he shouted, realizing that most likely it was Yoongi. Now the last thing he wanted was to see the culprit of your condition.

He stood up with you in his arms, sitting you down on the couch, letting you cry in his arms. He looked at the clock, realizing that several hours had passed when you fell asleep in his arms, from the number of tears shed. He carefully stood up, placing you on the couch, covering you with a blanket. Now he needed to find out what the situation was outside his studio.

He left the studio and was surprised when he saw almost all the members in front of his door. He quickly closed the door, preventing anyone from entering. He grabbed Yoongi by the collar and pressed him forcefully against the wall. “How much more pain are you going to cause her?!” Hoseok growled before Namjoon pulled him away from Yoongi.

“I didn’t know it would turn out like this” Yoongi slid down the wall

“Seriously, Yoongi? You didn’t know it would turn out like this?” Hoseok growled

“That's enough, Hoseok,” Jin said, squeezing his shoulder.

Hoseok stared at Jin. "Enough? Can you hear yourself, hyung?" Hoseok laughed looking at each member in turn. “Am I overreacting?” he asked breathlessly. “He sent video to ______ of this slut raping her boyfriend while on drugs, and now I’m the one who’s overreacting to it?” he asked, raising his tone and glaring at Jin, pointing at Yoongi.

"Hoseok!" Jin raised his voice.

“You know what... fuck it... do whatever you want! But if any of you try to enter this studio, I will personally kick that person’s ass!” growled Hoseok pointing to the door of his studio. Hoseok turned around sharply, pushing away Namjoon, who was still holding him, heading towards the room with the manager to find out the situation and the consequences of everything that happened.

POV Yoongi

“Fuck,” Jin growled, punching the wall.

Yoongi turned his gaze to the members, taking a deep breath. Hoseok was right, he was a complete idiot when he sent you that video. He had never seen so much aggression in you in his life as he did today. And the reason you attacked the girl was him.

“You all better go home,” Yoongi said, getting up from the floor. “Hoseok wasn’t joking. He’s too angry right now and can’t control his emotions. I don’t want me to be the reason that Hoseok will fight with any of you,” Yoongi shook his head. "I've done too much crap these past few weeks."

“How can we return home when everything is completely fucked up here!” Namjoon said. “First, your quarrel with ____. Then this truth was revealed, why this happened to you. Now ____ will have problems because of this bitch because she had the courage to turn all our thoughts into actions. Fuck...” Namjoon ran his hand over his face in complete despair.

"Everything will be okay, Namjoon!" Yoongi squeezed Namjoon's shoulder. “This bitch will keep her mouth shut unless she wants to go to jail for rape and drugs!”

“But Yoongi...” Jin looked at Yoongi with concern.

“Don’t...” Yoongi shook his head. “If it weren’t for me, all this crap wouldn’t have happened at all! Hoseok is one hundred percent right, from the very beginning to this moment I was the cause of everything! And instead of ending everything, I just kept making things worse until it became a fucking disaster!” Yoongi exhaled loudly as a few tears rolled down his cheek and he closed his eyes, realizing he was on the verge of tears when Jimin hugged him.

After he sent everyone home, he headed to his car and took a bottle of whiskey and returned to the Hoseok studio. He was surprised at how deserted the floor had become, despite the fact that just a couple of hours ago there was complete chaos going on here. He wasn't even surprised when he saw Hoseok sitting on the floor in the hallway near the door of his studio.

“No matter how much you hate me, I fully deserve it,” he said, moving closer to Hoseok. He sat down next to Hoseok, placing two glasses and a bottle of whiskey between them. “If you want to hit me, I won’t even resist,” Yoongi said meeting Hoseok's gaze. This was the first time they had quarreled so much. All this time, Hoseok didn't even look in Yoongi's direction, as if he didn't exist. “Hoseok... Do you love her?” Yoongi asked, closing his eyes and resting his head against the wall. Although he already knew the answer to this question...

“If yes, then will you give ____ to me, and if not, will you seek her forgiveness so that you can be together again?” Hoseok practically spat out those words. Yoongi didn't even know why he asked this question. “God, what a bastard you are, hyung.”

“I know,” Yoongi breathed. He opened the bottle and poured them some whiskey. “You know the funny thing...” Yoongi said, grinning. “You’re the only person I want to ask, what should I do next?” Yoongi grinned, taking a large sip of whiskey.

“The whole year! You’ve been dating ______ for a whole year!!!” Hoseok practically growled. “But you crossed everything out because of five seconds of jealousy.” Hoseok shook his head, emptying his glass in one gulp. "Why? Tell me why?!” Hoseok raised his voice. “You didn’t believe ____’s feelings? Didn’t you believe in our friendship?” Hoseok stared at Yoongi. “What was in your head that made you do what you did that night?! And now I’m not talking about what happened in your studio...”

“I don't know, Hoseok.” Yoongi covered his face with his hands as his eyes filled with tears again. "I really do not know. I was scared and I was so angry. I saw how much you like _____. How carefully do you treat her... Noticing every little thing and the slightest changes in her mood, which I didn’t even pay attention to. I really became scared that if you offered her something that I couldn’t offer, she would definitely choose you. I saw how angry she was with my behavior that evening. And when she took your hand and agreed to go on a date with you... Everything inside me broke, breaking into small fragments. I thought that she might really cross the line with you if you continue so openly show her your feelings. It’s not even that I didn’t believe in her feelings, the point is that I didn’t consider myself worthy of these feelings... Although I completely and completely proved that I really am not worthy of ______”

Electric Cars

So I just did some math

averaged over a 24 hour period an american uses 1.25 kW continuously (10kW peak) (source EIA I can find it or just google it)

A 32 amp car charger (max for low end electric cars like the low end model 3) uses about 9 kW and could charge the car in 8 hours

thats 3 kW continuously equivalent

So thats 4.25 kW continuously with peak being 20 kW

times 165 million Americans for Bidens reduced version of the EPAs plan (originally it was 2/3 of cars)

Thats 700 gigawatts with peaks that are probably 2.8 Terawatts of generation

The USA used 4.23 or 4.18 Trillion kWh last year depending on the source

700 gigawatts continuously is 6.132 trillion kWh

EIA says we have 1.6 TW of capacity

I all that needs to be generated in the 8 hours people are at work we need an extra 2.1 TW of generation. The cheapest power is solar and thats the best for this application anyways wince we want people to charge at work. Solar is $1.16/watt and if we apply a bit of discount for scale lets just call it $2 trillion to build that much solar

Keep in mind that 4.5 cents (perkWh) of your electricity cost is distribution which is 1/2 to 2/3 so we need AT LEAST another $2 trillion in infrastructure

by 2050 that may actually be technically possible

But some environmentalists want us to consider that electricity demand is expected to double by then so $8 trillion

and 30 years inflation bring sus to an average of $12 trillion assuming spending is the same across all years adjusted for inflation (thats not how the math works, it should be more like 13 or 14 but I'm not doing more math today)

Anybody got $12 to $14 trillion I can have over the next 30 years? I promise it won't be a massive fucking waste and you'll totally get a return on your investment that beat inflation

1. we’ve got some signs at the diner that tell us granny sells eggs benedict for $3.25, tomato salad for $1.25, and a desert special for $1.25. this is obviously meant to show that granny’s, like everything else in storybrooke, is stuck in 1983, the year the curse was cast

2. I’m not sure if we ever see it like this again but I love how scuffed up the storybook is here. it really shows that henry’s been reading and carrying this thing around

3. I kind of love that Snow has a designated jar for cinnamon sticks

4. some green apples in Snow’s apartment, as well as what I’m fairly certain is artwork from her students on the fridge

5. this is very obvious, but I love this shot of the bowl of apples in focus and the heart box on the desk and Regina herself being out of focus (also I’m pretty sure that bowl stays throughout much of the show, even though the office as a whole does go through some changes)

6. a little bird statue on Snow’s nightstand and some trees on the wall. also that blue pillow next to her has a bird on it—there are so many good little nods to their EF counterparts throughout this season

7. and we’ve got another little shot of that page with the monkeys from the wizard of oz

8. the jukebox, which we find out that wand is hiding under in s6. the only reason I’m pointing it out now is because I’m pretty sure it actually comes and goes? like I think there are candy machines in that spot in some future episodes, and in s1 and in an episode of s3, it’s a dart board

9. I feel like I shouldn’t even point this one out because it is sooooo obvious, but I’ve always loved how the toll bridge has that little r, like who did that? was it always like this? or did someone put that r there during the curse?

10. also there are a lot fewer clocks in this episode, probably because the curse starting to weaken a bit, but we have some and this one above Regina’s head here is my favorite. this is right after Kathryn and David are reunited so the way we focus in and out on Snow and Regina here with the clock directly above Regina—A+
