Musicie mi wybaczyć za to że dzisiejszy wpis będzie taki mało personalny i mało wnikliwy, ale znowu co personalnego da się powiedzieć o dziesięciu kilometrach nieprzerwanej miastostrady jaką jest ciąg ulic Conrada, Opolskiej, Lublańskiej, Bora-Komorowskiego i Andersa idealnie układających się w słodki akronim COLBA? Podejmę próbę zatem, napisania bestiariusza o tym biblijnym wężu, który dzielił jeszcze do niedawna miasto od przedmieści.

Historia zaczyna się znowu od Huty, a konkretniej od Ronda Kocmyrzowskiego imienia Księdza Gorzelanego. Tak, dobrze usłyszałyście - dwa tytuły, sam Józef Gorzelany też ma tytuł, więc można powiedzieć że wręcz trzy. Takich uciech nie spotkacie nigdzie indziej jak w dzielnicy, która jest przykładem tego że gdyby polacy używali koła emocji częściej w swoim życiu, to regularnie trzeba byłoby nadrukowywać napis "zawiść", bo zmazywałaby się od częstego wskazywania na nią palcem.

Ta część Huty jest wyjątkowo zawistna i każda ulica jest triumfem nad obrzydliwymi komuchami, bo tutaj właśnie ten Gorzelany postawił Arkę Pana, której trzeba oddać styl DIY i to że poszli w ostry modernizm i nie starali się budować nudnych brył kościelnych, albo iść na przekór betonowemu gotykowi NH. Od Arki mamy nazwane osiedle przy Arce, które nazywa się Przy Arce (wygrywając tym samym z poprzednimi Dąbrowszczakami), jest osiedle Solidarności, mamy ulicę Obrońców Krzyża, jest aleja Solidarności, Plac Centralny im. Ronalda Raegana (znów dwa tytuły), a sam plac przecinają aleja Jana Pawła II, obok której jest pomnik solidarności, oraz aleja Andersa. Możnaby się zdziwić czemu nie poszli za ciosem i nie zmienili osiedla Spółdzielczego na osiedle Przedsiębiorcze. Tak czy owak - jebać komunę, zmienimy skurwysynom nazwy osiedli i ulic na takie, że ich będzie dupa piec jak tam siąd�� na ławce. Gorzej że takie rzeczy utrwalają się niestety bardzo głęboko i przeciętna baba z Tomexu musi wykonać w głowie szybką translację kiedy ktoś wspomina coś o Przy Arce "aha... z Dąbrowszczaków", Dąbrowszczaków którzy zapewne funkcjonują w zbiorowej świadomości mieszkańców Huty jako bliżej nieokreślona grupa komunistów z Dąbrowy Górniczej.

I na tym polega właśnie fenomen lewiatana COLBA, że dużo ciekawiej jest wejść w prostopadłą od niego, niż opowiedzieć cokolwiek o nim samym. Jest to przede wszystkim coraz mniej istotna dla miasta północna obwodnica, która w ramach zbudowania tej serio obwodnicy stała się dziwnym problemem, który miasto będzie musiało kiedyś rozwiązać, co nie będzie łatwe biorąc pod uwagę że w tym kraju łatwiej usunąć legalnie ciążę niż pas jezdni. Oczywiście patrząc na samą Hute to przez część tego makaronu jedzie tramwaj, a dalej podobno kiedyś ma jechać. Natomiast nie byłabym taka pewna tego stwierdzenia "kiedyś", bo parafrazując pewnego gruzińskiego poetę "Znajdźcie mi dwópasmówkę, a ja znajdę wam cytat jak miasto mówi że tam ma jechać za niedługo tramwaj".

I tak właśnie znalazłam się w miejscu, gdzie tory skręcają w prawo, a 501 jedzie tylko w jedną stronę. Idąc dalej nie działo się wiele, wciąż leciała mi w uszach jebanka i starałam się zagłuszyć ogólny nieprzerwany szum aut, który towarzyszył mi przez resztę drogi pomijając kawałek z ceglanym murem wzdłuż Lublańskiej. Po chwili przejścia okrutnie stresującego rejonu jakim jest coś co ja nazywam "Wiślicka" mimo tego, że jest to ogółem zbiór kilku autostrad uderzających w siebie pośrodku jednych z najbardziej gęsto zaludnionych osiedli w Krakowie. O Wiślickiej, jako osoba która była zmuszona nierzadko korzystać z tego przystanku opowiedzieć mogę wiele pejoratywów, ale wystarczy wykazać, że są tam tylko trzy przejścia dla pieszych, które akurat sprawiały że nie zdążałam na i tak spóźnione 178. Oprócz tego była ona kilkuktotnie remontowana, ale raczej nieskutecznie bo koleiny od ciężarówek na przejściach dla pieszych i przejazdach rowerowych czuć wciąż, mimo że słabiej. Podczas jednego z tych remontów właśnie odebrano jej pasy łączące przystanki 01 i 03, co można zobaczyć na własne oczy w postaci wgłębienia jakie znajduje się na wysepce między kierunkami. Jest to autentycznie jeden z najważniejszych przystanków w tej części miasta i najlepszy przykład tego, że w Krakowie średniej jakości przystanek tramwajowy wygrywa z najlepszym który obsługuje wyłącznie autobusy.

Reszta tej podróży była niebardzo interesująca i postaram się zachować swoje komentarze o przylegających do tej serpentyny osiedlach na spacery poświęcone ichże. Skracając bardzo długą podróż - udało mi się dojść do szwedzkiego sklepu meblowego i jednego z najbardziej oświetlonych kawałków stolicy Małopolski, czyli parkingu obok tegoże, w międzyczasie napotkałam parę ciekawostek.

Od, wydaje mi się, niedawna oświetlona wieże Eiffela (jedna z dwóch w mieście o których wiem) znajdująca się na niegdyś złomowisku, obecnie miejscu które przetrzymuje maszyny i samochody budowlane. Spodziewałabym się, że w ciągu następnych kilku lat powstanie na jej miejscu osiedle lub biurowiec, albo coś co będzie wyglądać jak biurowiec ale będzie osiedlem.

Dużo dużo później spotkana rzecz - patrol policji sprawdzający, czy nikt nie chodzi przez tory między Azorami a ulicą Chełmońskiego. Wielokrotnie tamtędy przechodziłam za młodu idąć w dziwny sposób do Galerii Bronowice, jednocześnie od lokalsów słyszałam że jest to regularny spot na wyłapywanie zagapionych skrótowników. Według znaku zginęły tam dwie osoby, natomiast chęci i pieniądze na namalowanie pasów na Conrada znalazły się dopiero w zeszłym roku, dotychczas jedynym przejściem na drugą stronę z osiedla było przejście aż pod IKEA, albo kręcenie się po koniczynce obok. Swoją drogą w piękną perspektywę można włożyć moje słowa o tym jak głupim pomysłem było zbudowanie tak szerokiej drogi w takim miejscu. Być może potraktowałam ją jako stary monolit i wykaz tego, że planiści i hatfu drogowcy od których zależy większość naszych żyć byli po prostu zagubieni, niedoinformowani, nie posiadali odpowiednich zdolności przewidywania, kiedy w rzeczywistości cała ta jazda powstała bardzo niedawno temu i z sporą premedytacją. Wiem o tym, dlatego że żeby zbudować rzeczoną koniczynę na Azorach musiała zostać zrównana z ziemią działka mojego dziadka, na której siedział w młodości mój tata. Miejmy nadzieję że już niedługo pojawi się tutaj tramwaj, podobno jest on tu w pierwszej kolejności do budowy, natomiast za czasów taty też już był.

Internship ePortfolio - Entry 1

Since beginning this degree in 2020 the internship has always been at the back of my mind and would mark the transition from tertiary education to the beginning of what is hopefully a long career in the sports media industry. Completing a 228-hour internship initially seemed daunting when I started two and a half years ago, but in that time, I have developed a wealth of knowledge and an array of skills during my studies that have helped me to feel comfortable and prepared.

Rainmaker, the organization I am completing my internship with, is the TV production arm of SEN (Sports Entertainment Network). In my role I am required to create graphics and digital sets, edit programs and footage, complete research and pre-production prep, and operate equipment during production. A lot of the skills and knowledge required to do these tasks effectively I either lacked or did not possess prior to this degree. Throughout the degree I have been afforded the opportunity to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge that will help me to complete these tasks successfully and be a valuable member of the organization.

Much of the skills and knowledge I needed I have developed in subjects lectured by Davin Sgargetta. This has included becoming proficient in Photoshop and Premiere Pro – the two programs I will be using the most, learning about the importance of pre-production prep and research, and understanding how to set up cameras and microphones.

Becoming integrated into Rainmaker’s culture was easier than I thought it would be. Gorzelany et al. (2021) define organizational culture as “the environment where people and organisations act and the foundation for governance, valuation, and communication” (p. 2). Almost all the people I work with share an interest in passion in sport and/or media, and for this reason, everyone appears to get on well with each other – both professionally and socially. On my first day I sat down with my internship supervisor, Darcy, as he went through the purpose of Rainmaker and how it works with the rest of SEN’s subdivisions to contribute to the main organization. This helped me to gain an understanding of the objectives and goals at Rainmaker which in turn helped me to understand why the organization does what it does. It became clear to me that Rainmaker/SEN has a very clearly defined direction and purpose and as a result, the people that work here perform their roles well.

There is a small team of about 10-12 people at Rainmaker. It is apparent that while everybody has their own role, it is very much a team environment that depends on everybody contributing to be as effective as possible. Tasks and responsibilities are often swapped and interchanged depending on the work meaning that everybody is versatile and adaptable. The clearly defined objectives and purpose as well as the adaptability of everyone within the team has created a really healthy work culture that is easy to fit into and be apart of. I found this video below explaining the importance of a good work culture within a workplace that is relevant to what I’ve experienced so far.

La selección femenina de hockey sobre césped vapuleó por 8-0 a Uruguay y se subió a lo alto del podio en los Juegos Sudamericanos de Cochabamba, con goles de María Pilar Campoy, Agustina Gorzelany (2), Agustina Albertario (2), Milagros Fernández Ladra y Julieta Jankunas (2), respectivamente.

Previamente, en su despedida del país, las dirigidas por Agustín Corradini arribarán este domingo 10 de junio a Tucumán, donde se presentarán ante el público argentino para enfrentar en una serie de cinco test matches a su par de Estados Unidos, número 7 del ranking mundial, quien también participará del de la cita internacional en continente europeo.
