Hori-Gorri
I've got some "gelbrot" gifts recently, but, why we call 'em "gelbrot"? I just remembered that he had a basque pet name for «laranja» (orange) colour: Hori-Gorri, and it is even funniest

It was silly thinking how much you had missed the two of them around, and it made you wonder how hard it would be when you’d tell them that you were moving clubs. Sure you’d still be in London, but you’d no longer be right around the corner.
You set those thoughts aside quickly though when you recognised Harper amongst the many travellers. She spotted you and ran straight towards you. You crouched down with your arms wide open when she got near, and let her jump into your arms for a hug. Lifting her up in the air and twirling her around. “You’re back!” You said as you held her tight.
“Did you miss us?” She asked with a giddy smile on her face, clearly having gotten more sleep on the plane than Katrina. “Duh, I missed you guys so much!” The thought didn’t seem so silly anymore now that they were here. Being surrounded with them felt like home.
Katrina reached you with all their luggage moments later, she looked tired from the trip, but smiled the moment her eyes connected with yours. “Hey, you.” She said as she put her bags down on the floor.
You moved Harper to one arm, so that you could give Katrina a side hug as well. “Hey, long flight?” She let out a deep sigh, “You have no idea.”
“Come on Harps, let’s help your mom with some of these bags.” Harper grabbed her backpack from the pile and asked you to put it on her. You helped her out and then grabbed half of the remaining luggage. “Let’s get you home.”
The drive back to their place was filled with chatter. Harper was excitedly telling you about everything that happened on the trip, and you were very eager to hear all about it from her point of view.
Your eyes locked with Katrina every now and then. You loved watching the way her face lit up when Harper was speaking so excitedly. It was moments like this that left you wondering, something had been lingering between you and Katrina for a while now, but you could never quite place it.
Before you could think more on it though, you arrived at their home. Katrina helped Harper unbuckle while you went to the back to take out the luggage. “You guys head in, I’ve got the luggage.” Katrina wanted to argue, but you insisted.
Katrina’s eyes were on you when you brought the last bags inside, her eyes lingering longer than they should on her best friend. She knew she had to tell you about her feelings soon, and maybe she was almost ready to do so. Harper tugging at her arm for attention saved her from you realising she was staring at your arms.
You spend the rest of the day with the two Gorry’s, everything from talking and playing football in the backyard, to movies and dinner. It was great to be together again, but it also made you realise that you would have to tell them you were leaving soon, before it would be announced online.
After Harper went to bed, you knew you had to tell her. “Hey Mini, can we talk?” Katrina nodded, and sat down on the sofa with you. “What’s up?” She said with a smile.
“There is something I’ve been meaning to tell you.” For a moment Katrina’s heart skips a beat. What if you wanted to share the same thing that she had wanted to share, it couldn’t be right? Still she hoped that it would be.
“I’m transferring to Arsenal.”
It wasn’t. Katrina’s smile faded for just a second before it returned. “That’s awesome.” She said enthusiastically. She knew that it was the club you have supported since you were just a little kid, that it was your dream to play for the club, who was she to get in the way of that?
“Really?” You questioned her enthusiasm. “Yeah, of course. I know it’s been your dream forever. I’m happy for you.” She was genuinely happy for you but it also hurt. She was finally ready to tell you how she felt, but now you were moving away. So, she kept her feelings to herself and decided that it would be best that way.
You left their place that evening convinced that everything would be okay with you moving away. But soon after your move, you realised that Katrina was pulling away. It started with some missed texts, but expanded to short responses, excuses to avoid calls, and cancelling plans to hang out. The distance between you grew quickly, and you got the message. She needed space, so you gave it to her.
As much as it hurt to stop reaching out, to stop pushing, to stop fixing something you didn’t understand was broken, you did. You missed them every day, but you didn’t know what you could do if Katrina was freezing you out.
A few days went by without any contact between you too, you were starting to question how much longer you could keep up giving her space before it would eat you alive.
Then a few days before you would play your former team, your phone rang with the all too familiar ringtone. The one you had given only Katrine. You quickly picked up the phone, not wanting to miss the opportunity to talk to her.
But instead of Katrina’s voice talking back to you, it was Harper who said hello. The way she spoke sounded worried, which worried you instantly as well. “What’s wrong, Harps?”
“Mama is sad all the time and I don’t like it.” Harper’s voice was filled with worry and confusion. “I don’t like when Mama cries.” Your heart broke a little after that.
“Oh, I’m sorry to hear that, Harps. Have you tried giving her a big hug? I know she loves those. ”You tried to help her. “I gave her a big hug, but it didn’t work. Can you come make Mama smile again?” You contemplated what to say. Could you just show up at her house? Would that be weird? “Please, Mama is always happy when you’re here.”
“Of course I will, Harps. I’ll come over later, I promise.” You wanted to give Katrina the space she needed, but Harper’s words were exactly what you needed to go and talk to Katrina to see what was going on. “Don’t tell Mama I’m coming, alright? It will be a surprise.”
Harper agreed, so you finished up what you were doing and headed over to their place. Since you knew you would arrive a bit before their dinner time, you picked up Harper’s favourite on the way.
With a Happy Meal in hand, you used your spare key to enter their apartment. Harper came running your way, “You made it!” She hugged you tight. “Of course, I promised, didn’t I?” She smiled wide. “Yes, now go fix Mama please! She’s in Mama’s room.”
“Alright, Harps, I will.” Then you revealed the Happy Meal and her face lit up. “Why don’t you continue watching Frozen and have some nuggets?” You helped her get all of her food ready around her, before you placed a kiss on the top of her head and headed to Katrina’s room.
With a soft knock on her bedroom door, you open it slightly. “Hey, you.” You said softly, like you had done many times before. Katrina’s tired eyes met yours, confusion written all over them. “What are you doing here?”
“Harper called me earlier. She was very worried about you, so I promised her I would come over and check on you.” Katrina shakes her head. “Harper doesn’t understand distance yet. She shouldn’t have asked you to drive all the way back here.”
You shrugged, “I don’t mind going the distance.” Katrina studied your face for a moment. “Why are you here? I’ve been horrible to you, I don’t deserve you showing up here.”
You moved further into her room and sat down on the end of her bed. “Mini, you can push me away all you want, I’m not going anywhere.”
Katrina let out a shaky breath. You could see the exhaustion in her eyes, but there was something else there too, something hinting that there was more to it than just that. So, you decided to start the conversation.
“You’ve been avoiding me,” You spoke softly, careful to not sound accusatory. “I know you, Mini. Something is wrong.”
She sighed, and rubbed her hands over her face. “I-” She stopped her sentence immediately and took a deep breath. “You’re right, I have been. I pulled away because I didn’t know how to handle it.” She admitted. “How to handle you leaving, and how to handle these feelings that I’ve been trying so hard to ignore.”
Feelings? What did she mean?
“Feelings?” You repeated, not knowing how else to ask her to elaborate.
Katrina’s eyes met yours, only for her to quickly look away again. "Ehm... yeah. Feelings. I don’t know when they started, exactly. Maybe they’ve always been there, just waiting for me to realize them. And then when I did, it was too late. You told me you were leaving and I panicked. I thought that if I just pulled away and created some distance between us, it would hurt less.”
You swallowed hard, your mind spinning as you took in her words. “Did it?”
She shook her head. “No, it just made everything worse. I’ve missed you every day. I’ve been hating myself for not telling you sooner and for wasting so much time. And then I pushed you away and I didn’t know if you hated me for shutting you out like that, and-”
You stopped her mid sentence, wanting to reassure her right away. “I don’t hate you. Quite the opposite actually. “I was nervous to tell you about the transfer because I was scared. I was scared that if I did, I would have lost the chance to tell you how I feel. I too was in my head about not telling you before I’d move away.”
Katrina studied your face once more, but now with a different look behind her eyes. “Are you saying what I think you are?” She asked softly.
“I love being around you. I love the way your face lights up when Harper does something silly. I love the way you always make me feel at home no matter where we are. I don’t want to keep pretending that this doesn’t mean something.” You tell her.
“You’re an idiot,” she said with a chuckle. “You should’ve told me.”
“Me? You could’ve said something too!” You replied with a laugh.
The two of you laughed together a bit before Katrina turned serious again. “So, what do we do now?”
You turn to face her better, putting your legs upon the bed, and reaching out your hand to take ahold of hers. “I think we should figure that out together, but if I were to make a suggestion, I’d say we should stop running from this. This, us, feels right.” Katrina squeezed your hand, “It does feel right.”
The two of you lock eyes again, and this time there is nothing but admiration for the other in it. You let your eyes wander down to her lips for a moment, and back up to her eyes again. A blush creeps up onto your cheeks when you see Katrina smirking back at you, clearly having caught you.
She smiles and starts slowly leaning in. Just moments before your lips touch, the bedroom door flies open and Harper comes barging in. “Are you happy again?” She asks her mom. “Yes, sweetheart, I am.” She said, smiling up at you. “Good, can I have her now?”
Both you and Katrina chuckle at her demand, but ultimately, how could you deny time with her? “I think we can share her, don’t you think?” Harper thinks for a moment. “Only if we can all watch frozen two.”
You get up with Katrina’s hand still in yours, and help her stand up as well. “Watching Frozen with you both sounds lovely.” Harper looks at your intertwined hands for a moment, and you could feel Katrina tense up a little. But before Katrina could let go, Harper smiled and took your other hand, dragging you both back to the living room.
The three of you sit down on the sofa to watch the movie, and it doesn’t take long for all of you to cuddle up together. It felt just like it always had. It felt like home.

Telling Tales (Katrina Gorry x Reader)
Part 1
Set at the beginning of 2024, midway through the 2023/2024 season
“Ladies, attention please. This is Kyra, as some of you know. Please make her feel welcome and show her the ropes in here” Jonas announced as Kyra entered the gym alongside him.
You were off in the corner with Leah and Katie when the young Aussie came in, lifting weights and not really paying attention to the introduction. Caitlin and Steph had left the group to make sure they were the first ones beside the newcomer, knowing her well from the national team.
“Morning, pest” Steph teased, patting Kyra’s head before Caitlin pulled her into a headlock.
“Mum, do something” Kyra shouted towards Steph who cupped her own ear, pretending like she couldn’t hear a word the young Aussie was saying as she battled to get out of Caitlin’s headlock. Katie re-hit play on the music as it pumped through the speaker and you all began to lift weights again.
“I thought this was The Arsenal not The Ausenal?” Katie laughed.
“Jesus Christ” Leah groaned.
“How long have you been sitting on that one?” Caitlin asked.
“Since I heard she was signin’ Katie smirked, almost like she was proud of herself for coining that term.
“I’m Y/n” you said as you dropped the weights and smiled, sticking your hand out to Kyra for her to shake.
“Kyra” she smiled back. Your introduction had shocked the young girl. Your intimidating demeanour had never matched your bubbly and friendly personality.
“Nice to meet you” you shook her hand with a firm grip and turned back to the weights to start lifting again.
“Always so polite” Katie laughed in a teasing manner as you rolled your eyes, continuing on with your session.
“Is there anybody else you want to meet today?” Steph asked Kyra.
“Win” she giggled.
“As in the dog?” Caitlin laughed as Kyra nodded.
“Y/n” Steph shouted as you finished a rep and put the weights back. You jogged over to the Aussie trio and Steph wrapped her arms around your waist and your arm fell across her shoulders. You and Steph had been friends for years, and everyone in Arsenal was very comfortable with each other. “Is Win with you again this week?” She asked as you smiled and nodded. It was your turn, again, to watch the new Arsenal superstar this week.
“Kyra wants to meet him” Caitlin laughed.
“I’m having people over for dinner tonight, would you maybe like to come?” You asked the girl as Steph and Caitlin looked at you dumbfounded.
“Where’s our invite?” Steph groaned.
“I put it in the group chat days ago” you quipped defensively, taking out your phone to prove the point that you had actually put it in the chat several days ago. You shoved your phone into both of their faces as they now read your message and shrugged their shoulders. “Did Katie not tell you? She helped me organise it” you laughed at Caitlin.
“Katie McCabe” Caitlin shouted, stomping over to her girlfriend whose face dropped at the usage of her full name.
“Come on then kid, we’ll get you started” you put your arm around Kyra’s shoulder and brought her over towards the weight equipment.
“Perfect, you can take over as her mother then” Steph shouted after you, making you both laugh. If only you knew.
-
It was later that evening when the squad had came over. A few of your teammates, that you considered close friends, Caitlin, Leah, Katie, Viv and Beth had come over to help you clean and cook before everyone else arrived. Steph was on Kyra duty, so she had text you to say she wouldn’t be over at the normal time, which was usually earlier than everyone else, except for Katie who practically lived in your house. You’d been really good friends with Steph since you met each other, but you’d been best friends with Katie since you signed for Arsenal a few years ago.
You greeted everyone as they came in, and Steph arrived last, as expected, with an overexcited Kyra beside her.
“Kyra, hey” you shouted, waving at the girl who came bouncing towards you. “Win” you whistled, as the dog came to sit by your side. “Win, this is Kyra” you introduced them, probably the opposite way around to what other people expected. Usually, the human would be introduced to the dog. “Win, say hello” you patted her head as she stuck her paw in the air for Kyra to take it.
“How the hell?” Leah look bewildered.
“Win never wants to leave her. Always cryin’ when someone else has to take her” Katie explained with a laugh. You’d had her all week but only had her three weeks prior to that too. It was great because you could bring her to training with you and she was familiar with the environment. You just hated when you had to bring her back, and she hated it too. Sometimes she’d take a run for it and sit in the passenger seat of your car, just waiting to go home with you.
Kyra dropped down to the ground to start rubbing and patting her, and you knew she was loving all the attention she was getting from the young Aussie midfielder.
“Right, everyone in for a photo with Win” Beth shouted as she set a timer on her phone and placed it on the counter, being held up by your kettle.
“Up” you said as the dog jumped into your arms and you caught her with ease. You all smiled for the photo and a lot of you had shared the post to Instagram later in the evening. Kyra had shared the picture, captioning it best night ever with my new family. You were stood right beside the young girl, catching the attention of another Australian player, on her nightly Instagram scrolling, that you’d yet to meet.
It was late before people started to head out. You’d invited a few people to stay the night and a couple took you up on the offer, the early crew gang along with Lia, Steph and Kyra.
“How are you finding England?” You asked Kyra, who you were sat shoulder to shoulder with. Although you were slouched down, nearly lying fully on the floor while everyone else was trapped in some game you’d both been knocked out of.
“I’m loving it so far. It’s great to have Caitlin and Steph here and then Katrina is just at West Ham and Charli is at Spurs, so it’s really all coming together” she smiled.
“You’ll be a great asset to the team” you patted her head as she eventually settled her head on shoulder. She was like the little sister that you never had, although, she viewed you more like a mum, and you only grew closer from there.
Kyra was fascinated by you, how caring and overly nice you were. She pondered over it for weeks before it finally clicked with her. She wanted to set you up with the perfect person, and she had just the person in mind.
-
“Mum, I’m telling you” Kyra squealed at the dinner table.
“Okay, I’ve had this conversation with both of you already, please stop calling me mum. It’s confusing Harper” Katrina said, slapping Kyra and Charli’s heads simultaneously.
“I didn’t say anything!” Charli whined, while Harper continued to play with a toy in her lap, oblivious to the conversation happening above her.
“She is so your type. She’s smart, she’s funny, she’s attractive and she’s got her shit together” Kyra rambled and Katrina slapped her once again for swearing infront of Harper.
“Oi” Katrina grunted, eyeing the toddler in earshot of Kyra’s cursing.
“Please just agree to meet her so this can stop” Charli said, covering Harper’s ears.
“Fine” Katrina snapped, rolling her eyes. In truth, since Katrina saw the Instagram story Kyra shared of you, Katrina had the same opinion of you that Kyra had just rambled on about. You were her type, you were attractive and from what she’d heard from Steph, you very much so had your shit together.
Overjoyed with the news that Katrina was comfortable enough to meet you, Kyra slipped into training the next morning and grabbed Caitlin and Steph to help hatch a plan. Kyra explained her thoughts to Caitlin and Steph about how she thought the two of you would suit eachother really well.
“Holy shit” Steph gasped.
“How have we not realised this before?” Caitlin said, punching Steph’s arm lightly.
“They’re like perfect for eachother!” Steph shouted.
“Who is?” Leah asked.
“Y/n and Katrina” Kyra explained.
“From West Ham?” She asked as all three nodded. “Yeah, I can see that” Leah laughed.
“So, how do we introduce them?” Caitlin asked as all three sat puzzled. Leah had been pulled away into a meeting with Kim, while you and Katie were stuffed into a corner of the canteen, whispering secretively about something.
“I’ve got it” Kyra shouted as all three of them huddled closer together and Kyra explained the plan.
-
The whole Arsenal squad, plus a few London based Aussie’s and their friends and partners, filtered into Caitlin and Katie’s house during a league break. The music was loud and the house was dark, apart from some type of strobe lighting that you and Katie had impulsively bought and stuck up during Covid.
When you arrived, you instantly found your best friend and worked your way out to the shed in the garden where you could both talk in private. You and Katie had practically built that shed and made it a man-cave type place where you hung out, alone, in peace. It had a sofa bed, a TV, a PlayStation and a mini fridge. What more could you ask for?
“This party is a set up, by the way” Katie told you as you both sipped on your drinks, sitting on the sofa in the cave.
“What do you mean?” You asked as a frown took over your face.
“They’re tryin’ to set ye up with someone from the Australian team” Katie laughed, leading to you joining in due to how stupid that sounded.
“Which one?” You tried to ask but she shrugged, Caitlin had left out that part. “Australians” you said as you playfully rolled your eyes.
“How long do ye think we can hide out here?” Katie asked.
“Hopefully the whole night” you smirked, flicking on the TV and PlayStation.
It had been a good long while, but eventually Caitlin found you both and an angry expression covered her face as she stood in the doorway.
“There you both are! We have been looking for you everywhere” she snapped.
“We’ve been out here since Y/n/n got here” Katie replied, not looking away from the screen.
“Which was?” Caitlin asked while you quickly checked your watch, before going back to the screen.
“Two hours ago” you replied, aggressively pressing buttons on your controller.
“Get inside, now” Caitlin sternly said as Katie paused the game.
“That is her serious voice” Katie whispered as you nodded and both stood up, following Katie’s angry girlfriend inside. You walked behind Katie, who flung the door open, stepping aside so you could go through first. Only, she didn’t see on the opposite side of the door that someone was leaning against it, clearly not expecting it to fly open. You were quick to react, catching the falling woman and helping her back to her feet.
“Thank you” she smiled as she turned to face you.
“It’s cool” you replied nonchalantly. You tried to keep your cool in that moment, but you couldn’t take your eyes off the woman stood in front of you.
“I don’t think we’ve met properly. I’m Katrina I play for-” she began.
“West Ham” you interrupted with your voice creeping a bit high as you coughed. “I know. It’s Y/n” you smiled.
“I know” she said as she looked you up and down.
“Can I get you another drink?” You asked, looking toward the empty cup in her hand. Steph and Caitlin smirked at the other as you and Katrina wandered off to the fridge to get another drink.
“Okay, so the plan-” Kyra began.
“Shut up you pest” Steph groaned. “We didn’t actually need your plan” she whispered, pointing over at the two of you talking, far away from anybody else at the party.
You spent the rest of the night with Katrina. You were beer pong buddies, you danced to some songs that played and eventually, you found yourselves alone in the living room. You were both deep in conversation about everything and anything when you were interrupted by people leaving, coming to say goodbye. Katrina noticed Kyra looked tired and decided to be a good adopted mother and take her home.
“I’m really sorry, but seeming as that one thinks I’m her mum, I should probably get her home” Katrina smiled as you looked over towards Kyra who was pouting like a child and rubbing her eyes. You nodded at the woman while she beckoned Kyra over, and things went silent for a few seconds.
“I’m sorry if this is a bit forward, but I had a really nice time tonight. Could I maybe get your number?” You asked in a whispered tone as a smile lit up her face. She took your phone and typed her number in before reaching up, almost needing to jump to kiss your cheek, before heading off with a tired Kyra that you got a light fist bump off.
You slumped down on the couch hovering your thumbs over your new contact before eventually closing your phone and your eyes.
The next morning you were woken by Katie after you’d passed out on her couch.
“Get up ye big fuckin’ lump” Katie shouted pushing your shoulder. She’d always referred to you as a big lump. You stood at 6’2, almost an entire foot taller than her. She burst out laughing when you groaned, rubbing your eyes and began adjusting to your surroundings. The house was in a state. Caitlin was frantically moving around to clean while Katie passed you a mug of tea and sat beside you on the couch. You took a quick sip, placing it on a coaster and got up to help Caitlin without speaking to your best friend. You’d taken packed, heavy black bags out of her hands and took them outside to put in the bin
“Why can’t you be as helpful as Y/n?” Caitlin asked Katie who just smirked and shrugged.
“Maybe go out with Y/n then” Katie laughed, going back to scrolling on her phone.
“Thank you” Caitlin whispered as you got back in from taking bags to the bins outside.
“Hey Cait?” You asked as you were putting away dishes from the dishwasher and Caitlin was sweeping the floor.
“Yeah?” She replied, stopping herself from cleaning for a minute, sensing the tone in your voice was urgent.
“Your friend, Katrina. What’s her-” you stopped yourself, trying to phrase it correctly.
“She’s single” Caitlin blurted out as you nodded. “And then she’s got Harper” Caitlin added.
“Harper?” You asked.
“Someone clearly didn’t watch our documentary” Caitlin teased before continuing. “Harper, as in her three year old child” Caitlin explained as you nodded.
“You’re tryin’ to set up Y/n/n with someone who has a kid?” Katie laughed from the door which made you turn your body around to face her. “She hates kids” Katie continued as Caitlin scowled.
She was right, you did hate kids.
“Do you?” Caitlin asked, raising her eyebrow.
“With a passion” Katie confirmed, laughing again as you awkwardly joined in, not knowing what to say
“You infuriate me” Caitlin snapped at her girlfriend and stormed out of the room.
“That’s my queue” you informed her, patting Katie on the shoulder, wishing her good luck with her angry girlfriend, and heading out of the house.
When you got home you sat on the couch, opting to just have an easy day to cure the tiredness and slight hangover you had. You were scrolling through some platforms trying to find something to watch, when you eventually came by something that caught your eye.
Matildas: The World at Our Feet
You got comfortable before you clicked play. You ended up watching every single episode and Katrina’s storyline was pretty emotional to say the least. You thought about texting her, but did you really want to get into a situationship, or worse, a relationship with someone who had a kid?
It’s not a lie that you and kids would probably never be put in the same sentence. You truly despised them. The constant crying, the screaming and shouting, the unpredictability, the thoughts of you being responsible for another human. No. Absolutely not.
But you liked Katrina, it was tough. You thought about it for a few hours, before finally caving.
Y/n
Hey, it’s Y/n, from last night. I was wondering if you maybe wanted to get dinner when you’re free?
Katrina saw your message come through and couldn’t help the smile that settled on her face.
Katrina
I’d love that, when would you be free?
It took a few days for your schedules to match up to when you were both free, but you were finally heading out for dinner tonight.
Charli and Kyra were in charge of minding Harper in Katrina’s absence, but Steph had also made a magical appearance over to their house. Unbeknownst to them, Steph was there to watch them and Harper.
“Who are you going out with?” Steph asked Katrina as she got ready, leaving the children, Charli and Kyra included, downstairs playing Mario-Kart.
“Just, you know, a friend of a friend” Katrina smirked as Steph nodded and smiled. There was a knock on the door that halted the conversation and Steph waved Katrina off who was heading to answer it.
“You finish up getting ready, I’ll get it. It’s probably their pizza” Steph said as she got off the bed. Katrina didn’t push, she knew you were collecting her but not for another half an hour and you told her you’d text when you were outside.
“Oh, hey Stephy” you smiled when your friend swung the door open.
“Y/n?” Steph said, looking at you up and down until she focused on the flowers in your hand. “No way”.
“What?” You frowned.
“When she said a friend of a friend I didn’t know the friend she was talking about was me and the friend of mine she was dating was you” she poked at your chest. “Why didn’t you tell me?” She was whisper shouting at you, to not alert the trio in the living room or the woman upstairs.
“Well, it’s our first date” you laughed. “I haven’t told anybody”
“Not even Katie?” Steph asked as you shook your head.
“Steph, who’s at the door?” Katrina barked as she swung it further open to get a view. “Oh, hi” she smiled.
“Hey” you smiled back. “Uh, these are for you” you handed her the flowers as Steph raised her eyebrows at you. You’d never been a flower-buyer type for previous girls.
“Thank you so much. Can you just give me two seconds and I’ll meet you in the car?” She asked as you nodded.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, Stephy” you poked Steph’s nose before you walked back to the car.
“Mini, why didn’t you invite her in?” Steph asked as she closed the door, following Katrina into the kitchen who was putting the flowers into a vase.
“I don’t want Harper seeing someone new and getting attached. What if it doesn’t work out and then Harper gets upset?” Katrina breathed out as Steph nodded in understanding.
“I’ll take good care of all three of your kids” Steph said softly, squeezing her shoulder almost as if she was telling Katrina she was proud of her for putting herself out there.
“We share custody of Kyra, don’t forget that” Katrina laughed before hugging the defender and saying goodbye to all three children in the living room. It wasn’t long until she got into the car and you began driving. “I’m sorry if it came across rude I didn’t invite you in, it’s just-” she tried to explain, but you shook your head.
“I get it. Dating with a kid must be hard” you smiled softly and she felt like you took the words right out of her mouth. She replayed the conversation you had at the party, and she remembered she never once brought up Harper.
“How did you know I have a kid? Stalker” Katrina teased as you laughed.
“Well, Caitlin told me and then gave me shit I didn’t watch your World Cup documentary” you explained as Katrina laughed. “So, I watched it” you added.
“Oh yeah? What did you think?” She asked.
“You’re uh, very inspirational” you coughed, staring at the road straight ahead of you with both your hands tightening their grip of the steering wheel.
“Why? Because of Harper?” She asked, stroking your arm softly with her fingertips and feeling how tense you were.
“Well, yeah” you nodded. “But also how you manage to deal with Kyra on a regular basis” you chuckled as she slapped your arm lightly and laughed at you.
Dinner went nicer than you had expected it to. You took her to a fancy London restaurant and paid. Your conversation was almost as if you’d known each other for years, and you couldn’t remember dating someone ever being this easy before. She showed you pictures of Harper now and how much bigger she was than in the docu-series. You also made her realise you had no clue about kids, which was meant to worry her, but instead she found cute.
“She’s grown” you pointed out as Katrina showed you a recent photo of the two of them.
“Yeah, they do that” Katrina laughed as you playfully rolled your eyes back at her.
Katrina had offered to get herself home, but you immediately shook your head at her and opened the passenger door for her to get in the car. When you arrived back to her house, you brought the car to a stop.
“Tonight was really nice” you smiled.
“I thought so too” she smiled back.
“Would you, maybe, want to do something again?” You asked as she nodded and leaned over to kiss your cheek.
“Text me, okay?” she replied before getting out of the car and walking up the path to the house. You realised you were already in deep when you didn’t take your eyes off the girl until the front door shut.
“Mummy, I missed you” Harper squealed when Katrina got in.
“I missed you too monkey. Did auntie Steph not put you to bed?” Katrina frowned, scooping the toddler into her arms.
“Let me go” Kyra shouted.
“You cheated” Charli shouted back.
“There is only meant to be one child in this house, and neither of you are it!” Steph groaned, trying desperately to pull the pair apart.
“Hey!” Katrina shouted as all three of them stopped in their tracks.
“She-” Kyra tried to explain.
“Don’t” Katrina warned. “Charli, put Harper to bed” she added, handing the baby over to the blonde.
“Go help her, and try not kill each other” Steph pushed Kyra to follow the Spurs player up the stairs.
“You did cheat” Charli whispered.
“Charlotte” Katrina shouted in a warning tone again, before it went silent and two older Australian duo let out a shared laugh.
“So, how’d it go?” Steph asked.
“I really like her” Katrina smiled as Steph almost leapt at her out of excitement.
“I knew you would” Steph added with a squeal.
-
You’d been on a few more dates before you made it official. You eventually got the honour of being introduced to Harper and had fully respected Katrina’s decision to wait until it was official until you met her. Surprisingly, you actually really enjoyed when Harper tagged along on dates now. You’d always plan something fun for all three of you, like the zoo or the cinema. Harper became very comfortable around you, often wanting you to put her on your shoulders or hold your hand. Apart from her own mum, you were her new favourite person, and apart from her mum, she was yours.
Eventually, after a few months, things became so serious with Katrina that you were collecting Harper from pre-school if she couldn’t, or bringing her to Katrina’s match if you didn’t have one yourself that day. Your friends all knew you two were dating, but you’d never thought of taking her out with you due to Harper needing to be minded. You gave a hand with babysitting duties now too when Katrina needed a night with her friends, although, you didn’t view it as babysitting. In fact, you yourself were opting a lot more lately for a night in with Katrina and Harper than a night out with your team mates. But after taking enough shit from Katie that you never do anything anymore, you decided to invite Katrina out to do something with them.
“Would you maybe want to go out with my friends some evening? I’d like to introduce you properly to them” you smiled across from her at the dinner table, where only the two of you were sitting.
“We can ask Charli if she’ll mind Harper?” Katrina beamed.
“Charli” you shouted as she came crashing through the door, Harper following in behind her and jumping into your lap, poking you in the face making you laugh. “Would you mind looking after Harps one evening this week?” You asked as she giggled and put her hands out for Harper to run back to her. You helped the toddler back to the ground to run back towards her big sister.
“I’ll take that as a yes” Katrina laughed.
-
The night rolled around for you to bring Katrina out, and Kyra was buzzing to introduce her two mums to the team as her mums. When Katrina headed outside with Kyra to get into the taxi, you were sat at the bottom of the stairs, fixing your shoes.
“I’ll be out in two seconds” you shouted after them, waiting until the front door was closed to start your routine. “Charlotte” you said from the living room door with your arms folded.
“I know, I know, bed by 9pm, no sweets, no scary movies and nobody in or out” she recited like a hymn.
“Harps, I’ll see you later, yeah?” You smiled as the little toddler came running towards you, wrapping her arms around your legs. You bent down to give her a fist bump before patting Win’s head, and heading out to the taxi.
“Love you” Harper shouted as she ran back towards Charli, whose head shot to your eyes which were beaming out of your head.
“Has she ever-” Charli asked as you shook your head, still speechless. “Say it back, don’t upset her” Charli whispered.
“I love you too, Harper” you eventually got out, and smiled as the toddler waved goodbye to you.
“Have a nice night” Charli said softly as you walked out of the living room and towards the door, with a massive grin on your face.
“Everything okay?” Katrina asked as you got in and you nodded with a smile.
“You’ll never believe-” you tried to say.
“Party time, yeah!” Kyra shouted.
“Shut it, you pest” Katrina groaned as Kyra started playing with the LED lights that the taxi had inside of it.
The night was going really good, Katrina and your mates were getting along really well. Caitlin and Steph just kept giving you thumbs up from the other side of the table, delighted their plan had worked out. You and Katie were sat beside each other, bickering about something that happened in training the other day.
“Fine” you shouted, eventually rising from the table and storming off.
“What’s happened now?” Caitlin asked with a roll of the eyes.
“I proved her wrong and she owes me a drink” Katie laughed.
“You’ll get used to those pair acting like children when they’re together” Caitlin informed Katrina who laughed.
“I still can’t believe ye’s set up Y/n with someone who has a kid” Katie laughed, as Katrina turned her head to look at her.
“Katie” Caitlin warned.
“What do you mean?” Katrina asked, frown still ever present on her face.
“I just mean, Y/n hates kids. Never showed any desire to have any, so I don’t know why they thought settin’ her up to play happy families with ye was goin’ to work. No offence” Katie grinned.
“Enough now” Caitlin sternly said as Katrina got up from her seat.
“Mini” Steph sighed. Without another word, Katrina left the bar and got a taxi home. Kyra quickly followed her outside and jumped in to the taxi too. When you got back to the table, a lot of the girls had worried expressions on their faces after hearing the interaction play out between your girlfriend and your best friend. Caitlin was giving Katie an earful while Steph sat with her head in her hands.
“What’s gone on?” You asked, slamming the drink in front of your best mate. “Where’s Katrina?” You frowned, looking around, presuming they would say in the bathroom. Caitlin gave Katie the angry eyes you were all too familiar with seeing your best friend getting from her girlfriend.
“Yeah, look-” Katie began.
“What the fuck did you say?” You dragged the girl up by the collar, forcing her off the chair she had just been sat in. Leah and Viv quickly rose to their feet to separate the two of you as Katie just held her hands up in surrender.
“I just may have mentioned your hatred for kids” Katie said with a guilty look on your face. “I was tryin’ to make a point of how, ye know, ye must really like her if you’re willin’ to put up with her kid” Katie shrugged in Viv’s grip. Leah was still firmly holding onto you and taking a tighter grip as you lunged forward.
“You are a fucking idiot” you spat out in anger. “Do you not know how protective over Harper she is? Do you not realise how much effort I’ve put in to make her feel comfortable having me around her?” You snapped as she put her eyes to the floor. “Let me go” you grunted at Leah, who did what you asked as you grabbed your jacket and stormed out. Viv finally released Katie as the Irish girl slumped back into her chair.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen Y/n so angry” Leah said to Viv as they walked back to their seats.
“You need to apologise to her, and Katrina” Caitlin scowled as Katie nodded. You forgot about the concept of ordering or flagging down a taxi, instead opting to walk to Katrina’s house. A walk that would usually take 45 minutes took you 20, as you practically sprinted there. You knocked on the door, and Charli answered with Harper in her arms.
“Oh, shit” Charli said
“Shit” Harper repeated. You raised your eyebrows at Charli as Harper made grabby hands for you. The blond handed Harper off to you and she let you inside, knowing if she did, you wouldn’t repeat the curse word she just taught Harper to her mother.
“Where’s mummy?” You asked the toddler as she pointed towards the staircase. You placed her down in the living room, patting Win’s head once again before heading upstairs towards Katrina’s bedroom. Win was your dog now. Although she was the Arsenal mascot, it was decided she could live with you full time. You knocked before letting yourself in, watching on as Katrina was sitting on the edge of the bed, in floods of tears and Kyra was sat beside her. “Crossy, can you give us a minute?” You asked as the young girl quickly left the room. You were a giant in comparison to her, and were slightly intimidating, so she was not willing to debate. “Katrina-” you began the second Kyra left, but your girlfriend raised her hand to stop you.
“I think enough has been said tonight” Katrina managed to get out, holding back a sob.
“No, I don’t think so” you disagreed.
“What was your main objective of this relationship? If you hate kids so much why did you do this to me? Has this all been some type of game to you or something?” She was whispering, so as to not let any of the three hear that you were arguing.
“This hasn’t been- darlin’ I-” you tried to plead your case once again.
“She told me exactly how you felt and she’s your best friend, Y/n. So don’t tell me it’s not how you feel, why would our situation be any different?” She put her head in her hands and finally allowed herself to cry.
“I don’t know” you shrugged as silence filled the air, until you spoke again. “Well, actually, I do” you said. “I knew from the moment we met that night that I really liked you and I knew what I was getting into when I asked you out. I knew you had Harper, I knew how much she meant to you, and it’s different with you because-” you hesitated “I’m in love with you” you breathed out. “And I love Harper. I love our little life together and the little family we are making. My favourite part of the week is when you ask me to collect her from pre school” you sighed, dropping onto the bed next to her and feeling your own eyes start to well up with tears.
“Y/n-” Katrina took a breath of relief.
“I don’t care if you want to believe Katie, because what she said is true. But it’s past tense, my perspective changed the second you came into my life. I wouldn’t change anything we have and it certainly would not be Harper” you pulled her into a tight hug, making sure she felt completely reassured. “If I could change one thing, it would be our two older kids” you chuckled as you felt her tears fall against you as she laughed against your chest.
“I’m so sorry” she squeezed you tighter
“You have nothing to apologise for. I understand she is your priority and you don’t just let anybody at random into her life, but you are both my priority too” you informed her. You both sat there for awhile, wrapped up in eachother.
“I’m going to go get Harper and put her to bed” Katrina said as you nodded.
“I’ll go make some tea” you mumbled as you finally parted and walked downstairs together. You headed straight to the kitchen as Katrina scooped Harper up off the ground.
“Time for bed monkey” she said as Harper protested. “Fine, five minutes” Katrina sighed as she took off in a run towards you in the kitchen. A huge bundle of laughter came from the two of you and Katrina couldn’t help but smile.
“All sorted then?” Kyra said as Katrina nodded
“We could have told you she loved Harper” Charli laughed and Kyra rolled her eyes but eventually started to laugh too.
“What do you mean?” Katrina asked.
“Well firstly, she told Harper she loved her earlier because Harper told her she loved her and she would do anything for that kid to make her happy” Charli smiled as Katrina’s heart melted at the sound of the story mixed with the noise of the two of you messing in the kitchen.
“When we’re babysitting Harper, she gives you the same protective talk before she goes” Kyra giggled. “Nobody in our out Kyra, do I make myself clear?” Kyra added, mimicking you
“Bed before 9pm” Charli joined in, also mocking your voice.
“Which clearly wasn’t listened to tonight” you frowned, looking at the time which read 11:27pm and having the wired toddler clung to your back.
“Come on Harps, bed time” Katrina said as the toddler finally gave in. You gave Katrina a look, which told her you could take her up as the woman just smiled back.
“Will I take you to bed?” You asked as you got smacked in the face, which was her way of saying yes, and being excited about it.
“Shit” Harper shouted from the staircase as Katrina’s draw dropped to the floor. Kyra immediately looked at Charli who had a look of guilt on her face.
“Charlotte Grant you are never babysitting again” you shouted.
“Angry mum is so annoyed with you” Kyra shoved her blonde friend, standing up off the couch.
“No, no Kyra. Don’t call Y/n mum now too” Katrina warned.
“Damn it, scary mum is going to shout at me, isn’t she?” Charli whined, walking after Kyra into the kitchen.
“We are not your parents” Katrina shouted, to no avail.
Meanwhile, upstairs you were wrestling with a toddler, trying to get her to go to sleep. After multiple arguments, she’d got dressed into one of your Arsenal jerseys and you’d agreed to read her a story. After about 25 minutes when you still hadn’t made an appearance downstairs, Katrina tiptoed upstairs to look for you. Sure enough, the story worked wonders for you and Harper. You were both asleep, snuggled into eachother with your legs hanging off of the little princess bed. Katrina snapped a photo of the moment, before she gently woke you up to bring you to her bedroom.
“Love you” you mumbled as you rested your head on her chest and her fingernails scraped the back of your neck.
“Love you too” Katrina smiled, pulling you a little bit tighter against her.
Your hatred of children was long gone now that you were loved up and had two grown up daughters and a toddler.

My Voice (KatrinaGorryXClaraMarkstedtXHarperXTeenReader)

Warnings: Trauma, injury, scary, Car accidents, drunk Driver, being trapped, mutism, ptsd, nightmares.Lots of Angst but also some Fluff.
Summary: you stopped talking after a Traumatic experience & your little sister tries to get through to you.
You and your Friends have been in a Car accident. Being Ran off the Road and getting trapped in the Car for hours. The physical damage has healed in the Last six months. Altough you had scars covering your body. But the emotional damage was deep. You didn't speak. Not at all. Not a single Word has left your lips since that day. It was also the day you lost your spark. You usually smiled alot. Since that day you haven't smiled once. Your Friends that also were in that Car accident with your best Friends Brother being the Driver also were traumatized still. neither of them stopped talking though. But one was drinking regulary now and your best friend was sleeping around to avoid thinking about the accident. So all of you were a little broken. Or damaged. Whatever you want to call it.
There was a loud Scream coming from your room. Something your moms heard every night at this point. Your Mama quickly got out of bed and went to your room. Pulling you into her arms . You grab a hold of Mini. Your Mama knew that you had a nightmare again.
"shh, sweet Girl. It's okay. I got you! You are safe. you are Home." She told you, barely above a whisper. She was thankful that Harper and Koby were used to it by now. Cause in the beginning your little siblings would get scared when you would let out that Scream. It sounded like you were terrified. Which you were. Mini gently rubbed your back, kissing your head.
"you want to sleep in our bed with me and mom?" Your Mama asked. You nodded your head softly.
"okay. Let's go!" Mini walked to her bedroom, holding you close , you pressed into her side, holding onto her and cuddling your Koala plushie named Kol you had since you were like 3 years old. You were 16 now. When you reached the bedroom, Harper was there as well.
"you had a bad dream again?" Your little sister asked. The little Girl was always concerned about you these days. You nodded your head gently. you nodded your head and climbed into the bed, Harper kissing your forehead when you laid down.
"we are here for you, sissy!" She let you know. You cuddle into your mom's Side. Clara wrapping an arm around you.
"your sister is right, my sweet Girl!" Your Mom answered. Gently stroking your hair.
The four of you were all cuddled up and you ended up falling asleep, so did Harper. Holding Kol.
"Babe? Do you think a Family Trip away from all of this would help her?" Your Mom asked your Mama.
"i mean we could try. Next weekend maybe?" Your Mama suggested. Cause both of you didn't have a game or practice then. You just started going back to Team practice two weeks ago. Before that you were still recovering from the physical aspect of the Car accident. Since you broke your shoulder Blade and had also had a broken Leg and ankle.
"yes let's do that." Your Mom nodded her head in agreement. Harper was all snuggled up into your side, you were sleeping rather peacefully right now. Which was rare for you.
A few hours later you woke up, everyone was still asleep, you somehow managed to untangle yourself from your Family and walked into the kitchen. Grabbing yourself a Glass of orange juice before walking into your room. Sitting down on the floor, with your Art supplies. You just started a pencil sketch. It was a Family Portrait of your moms, Harper, Koby and yourself. All of sudden you hear small footsteps walking into your room.
"y/n, No more sleep?" Your Baby sister asked. You shook your head 'no'.
"cause of Bad Dreams?" She wanted to know. You nodded your head 'yes' now. Tearing up a bit. Harper climbed into your lsp right away. Wiping your tears away.
"mommies are worried. You have no voice." She explained.
"i...am afraid." You whispered out. Your voice hoarse.
"afawid?" Harper asked. You nodded your head softly. She looked at you, quite surprised. For two reasons, because you talked and you admitted you were afraid.
"yes, cause people want to talk about the accident, Harps." You explained. Voice still barely above a whisper.
Outside of your room behind the half closed doors, there was your Mom watching. Tearing up. Your Mama walked over.
"why are you crying, Love?" Your mama asked your Mom. Whispering gently.
"Harper got y/n to talk." She whispered out, wiping away her tears. Your mama was tearing up now.
"are you sure you heard her Talk and not just..." She started to say but then she heard you reply to Harper.
"i know i have to talk about it... it's just scary." You admitted.
"oh my god." Your Mama whispered out.
"let's go make ourselves known." Your Mom answered. A sleeping Koby in her arms.
The two walked into your room.
"hey sweet girls." Your mama answered with a smile on her face. You noticed the tears. Realizing your moms must have heard you talk. You just knew by the looks of it. So you got up, Harper on your hip. Hugging your Mama and your Mom at the same time. While you managed to hold your little sister and be careful not to hurt your Baby Brother.
"i Love all of you." You told them and they teared up again. Full on crying now. After so many months of not hearing your voice you finally talked again. It may was a small step to Others outside your Family. But for your moms it was such a big deal. And to you it was as well.
"we Love you too!" Your Mama said.
"with everything we have." Your Mom whispered out. Smiling through the tears.
A/N: let me know If you want a second Part.

Double trouble || Katrina Gorry x reader
Request | Masterlist | Prompt list
Summary You and Katrina get very unexpected news
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
“It was never this bad with Harper. I was only sick twice when I was pregnant with her. What’s so different this time?” You sighed, sitting against the wall in your en-suite bathroom.
You’d just had the worst wave of morning sickness so far into the pregnancy.
Your wife, Katrina, was stood next to you, having rubbed your back as you threw up.
“I don’t know, babe.”
Before you could say anything else, you felt a sudden wave of nausea.
Instinctively, you threw your head into the toilet.
“Bubbas a little trouble maker, aren’t they? Katrina asked, you nodding in response.
“It’s like it’s double as bad.”
“Well, when we see bubba today, we’ll tell them off.” Katrina joked, helping you up from the floor.
Today was your twelve week scan and you were seeing your trouble maker for the first time.
—
“Mummy, we see the baby?” Harper asked as you laid down on the bed, the nurse preparing the ultrasound.
“We will see the baby, Harps. Are you excited?” You questioned, harper nodding quickly.
“We’ll see your baby brother or sister.” Katrina added, picking harper up so she was sat on her lap.
“So, I’m going to put this gel on. It will be cold but you’ll get used to it.” The nurse said, placing the gel on your slight bump.
Yours and Katrina’s eyes were fixed on the screen, the nurse trying to find your baby.
“And there is your baby. There’s their head, and there’s their — oh.” The nurse stopped mid sentence, a confused look taking over her face.
“What? Is something wrong?” Katrina asked, squeezing your hand.
“No nothing wrong. Do twins run in the family?” The nurse asked
“My dad’s a twin.” You replied, studying the nurses face to find out what was happening.
The confused look was replaced with a one of realisation.
“That explains it. It also explains why I could see three hands. There’s baby A, and there’s baby B.” The nurse told you and Katrina, pointing to the screen where two clear babies were.
“Twins? Two babies?”
“Two babies.” The nurse confirmed, you and Katrina just looking at each other.
“Twins?” Harper asked, confused.
“You’re gonna have two baby siblings.” You told her, harpers jaw dropping at the realisation.
“Does that explain why the morning sickness has been so bad?” Katrina questioned the nurse who nodded in response. “It’s not just trouble then is it? It’s double trouble.”

harper days | always sunny in australia
pairings: harper gorry x sister!reader, mini gorry x teen!reader
summary: you babysit harper, a master manipulator, for the day
warnings: lost children
notes: i had no idea how much i needed harper and chickie written together
“Are you sure I’m the right person for this?” You shifted awkwardly, glancing at Mini with uncertainty. “I mean, if it’s about the cost of a regular babysitter, I’d be happy to chip in and help you pay—”
“Chickie,” Mini interrupted with a small smile, resting a hand on your arm. “Harper loves you. She specifically requested you today and refused anybody else. Please do me a solid?”
You sighed, still not entirely convinced. But before you could come up with another excuse, a small body crashed into your legs, tiny arms wrapping tightly around you.
“Chick! I missed you!” Harper’s voice was filled with excitement, and when you looked down, you were met with her beaming face as she hugged you with all the strength her little body could muster.
You couldn’t help but smile as you ruffled her hair. “I missed you too, Harps.”
Mini folded her arms, raising an eyebrow. “Still think you’re not the right person for this?”
You hesitated for a moment, but Harper was already clinging to you like you were her favorite person in the world, and the thought of letting her down made your stomach twist.
“You really think I can handle it?” you asked, still a little unsure.
Mini nodded firmly. “Absolutely. You’re great with her. And, honestly, she’s probably going to be the one taking care of you by the end of the day.”
Harper nodded enthusiastically. “Yeah, Chick, I got this!”
You laughed, finally relenting. “Alright, alright. You win. We’ll have the best day ever.”
Mini sighed in relief. “Thank you. You have no idea how much this helps me.” She crouched down to Harper’s level. “Be good for Chickie, okay?”
Harper gave her mom an exaggerated thumbs-up. “Always!”
Mini shot you a knowing look. “That’s a lie, but good luck.”
After a few more instructions and an over-the-shoulder “Text me if you need anything!”, Mini finally headed out, leaving you alone with Harper, who was already bouncing on the balls of her feet.
“So, Harps, what do you wanna do today?”
Her eyes lit up instantly. “Play at the playground! And play football! And have a picnic!”
You chuckled. “That’s quite a list. But you know what?” You crouched down to her level, grinning. “We’re gonna do all of it.”
Harper let out an excited squeal, grabbing your hand and tugging you toward the door. “Let’s go, Chick! We have so much to do!”
The grocery store was buzzing with people, but you and Harper were on a mission. With a small shopping cart that was definitely not meant to be used as a race car (despite Harper’s best attempts), the two of you navigated the aisles, picking out sandwiches, fruit, juice boxes, and enough snacks to last the entire afternoon.
“Ooh! Chick, can we get the star cookies?” Harper pointed excitedly at a package, eyes wide with hope.
You pretended to think about it, tapping your chin. “Hmm… what’s the magic word?”
Harper beamed. “Please?”
You grabbed the cookies and tossed them in the cart. “That’s my girl.”
After loading up on picnic essentials, you found yourself in the sports section, eyes scanning the shelves for a kiddie football. It didn’t take long before something caught your attention, an Arsenal-branded football, perfectly sized for Harper.
“Harps, check this out!” You held up the ball, and her face lit up.
“IT’S RED!” she cheered.
“Just like our team,” you said, kneeling down in front of her. “Wanna make it official?”
Harper nodded rapidly, so you pulled out your phone and hit record.
“Alright, Harps,” you said, holding the ball up, “who’s your favorite team?”
“ARSENAL!” she shouted.
“And what color is London?”
“RED!”
“And who’s your favorite player?”
Harper giggled before launching herself at you, wrapping her arms around your neck. “You!”
Your heart practically melted, but you still had one more thing to teach her. “Alright, repeat after me—North…”
“NORTH!”
“London…”
“LONDON!”
“Forever.”
“FOREVER!”
You stopped recording and grinned. “Perfect. You’re officially one of us.”
Harper clutched the ball like it was her most prized possession, and you ruffled her hair before steering the cart toward the checkout line.
As you placed your items on the conveyor belt, Harper stood beside you, still bouncing with excitement. You were just about to grab your wallet when she gasped dramatically.
“Chick! Look! It’s Kyra and Charli!”
Your eyes snapped up, but before you could register where exactly she saw them, Harper had already wandered off, her tiny legs carrying her toward the chaos that was Kyra Cooney-Cross and Charli Grant in a store.
By the time you finished paying and looked down, Harper was gone.
Panic surged through you instantly. Your chest tightened, and the air around you suddenly felt too thick.
“Harper?” Your voice wavered as you frantically scanned the store. “Harper?”
Your breathing picked up as worst-case scenarios flooded your mind.
Then, a familiar voice cut through the noise. “Chickie?”
You turned to see Steph standing nearby, a concerned look on her face. She had a basket in one hand, but her focus was entirely on you.
“I—I can’t find Harper,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper.
Steph immediately stepped closer, placing a firm but gentle hand on your shoulder. “Hey, breathe. She’s probably with Kyra and Charli, yeah? Let’s go find them.”
You took a shaky breath, nodding. Steph was right. Harper had said she saw them. And if she was with them, she was safe.
The two of you moved quickly through the aisles, scanning for any sign of Kyra’s unmistakable energy or Charli’s bright blonde hair.
Finally, near the home goods section, you spotted them and sure enough, there was Harper, hoisted up in Kyra’s arms as Charli tried to steady her.
“You got it, Harps?” Kyra asked as the little girl stretched toward a stuffed koala on the highest shelf.
Almost immediately, relief crashed over you. “Harper!”
The three of them froze, turning to face you. Harper beamed. “Chick! Look, I found a koala!”
Kyra and Charli, meanwhile, both looked equally confused.
“Wait,” Charli frowned, looking between you and Harper, “she’s your kid for today?”
Kyra blinked. “How did she even get here?”
Steph crossed her arms. “That’s what we’d all like to know.”
You wasted no time in striding forward and pulling Harper into a tight hug. “You scared me, Harps.”
Harper hugged you back, small arms wrapping around your neck. “Sorry, Chick… I just saw Kyra and Charli and wanted to say hi.”
You sighed, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. “Next time, you tell me first, okay?”
Harper nodded, and you pulled back to give her a soft smile.
Kyra, however, nudged Charli and muttered, “Look at our little Chickie. All grown up.”
You shot her a glare. “Kyra, I swear—”
Steph clapped her hands together. “Alright, enough of that. Harper’s safe, Chickie’s no longer panicking, and Kyra and Charli are somehow still standing after whatever this was.” She looked at you. “Let’s get back to our actual plans, yeah?”
You nodded, taking Harper’s hand. “Yeah. Let’s go have our picnic.”
Harper grinned. “And play football!”
Kyra smirked. “Don’t let her nutmeg you, Chick.”
“Oh, piss off Cooney-Cross,” you scoffed, rolling your eyes. “I taught her.”
With Harper’s hand in yours, you led her back toward the front of the store, your heart finally settling after that brief moment of sheer panic. But one thing was for sure, Harper was going to be glued to your side for the rest of the day.
The park was quiet except for the occasional sounds of kids playing and the rhythmic thud of a football being passed between you and Harper. She was full of energy, her little legs moving as fast as they could to keep up with you. Every time she managed to get the ball past you, she would let out a triumphant cheer, arms raised above her head like she had just won the World Cup.
“You’re getting too good, Harps,” you teased, tapping the ball back toward her. “Might have to start calling you the next Sam Kerr.”
Harper gasped dramatically. “No! I wanna be like you!”
That made you pause, warmth spreading through your chest. “Oh yeah?”
Harper nodded eagerly. “You teach me cool tricks! And you’re the best!”
You laughed, shaking your head as you knelt down. “Alright then, little legend. Let’s learn a new trick.”
For the next thirty minutes, you showed her how to pull off a simple step-over. At first, she kept tripping over her own feet, but after some exaggerated demonstrations (and a few dramatic tumbles on your end just to make her laugh), she finally got it. The moment she successfully pulled it off, she shrieked with joy and immediately demanded you record her doing it so she could show Mini.
After wearing yourselves out, you packed up and headed back to your and Sam’s place, where the second you sat down on the couch, Harper immediately climbed into your lap, demanding Bluey.
Not that you were going to say no.
So there you were, curled up on the couch, Harper tucked into your side as the two of you watched episode after episode. Harper giggled at the show, occasionally quoting lines before they even happened, while you felt yourself slowly sinking deeper into relaxation.
That’s how Mini found you when she came to get Harper.
“Alright, Miss Harper,” Mini sighed, hands on her hips. “Time to get ready for bed.”
Harper clung to you tighter, her little arms wrapping around your torso. “Noooo, I wanna stay with Chick!”
Mini groaned. “Harper…”
You glanced down at the little girl, who was now nuzzling into your hoodie, clearly refusing to budge. With a small chuckle, you looked up at Mini. “I can keep her for the night, if you want.”
Mini exhaled in relief. “If you’re sure? She’s all yours.”
Harper perked up, eyes shining. “YAY!”
Mini shook her head, muttering something about you spoiling her daughter before leaving you and Harper snuggled up once more. At some point, exhaustion won out, and the two of you dozed off.
Sam, who had just come home from rehab, paused at the doorway, a slow smile spreading across her face. You and Harper were curled up in the exact same position, mouths slightly open, Harper’s tiny body cradled in your arms like she belonged there.
Shaking her head in amusement, Sam pulled out her phone, snapped a picture, and immediately sent it to the Matildas group chat.
sam
Found Chickadee and her mini-me. Pretty sure I’m being replaced.
Before she could even put her phone away, replies flooded in.
kyra
LMAOOOO
mini
I literally tried to take her off Chickie but she refused
steph
My heart. This is too cute.
ellie
They even sleep the same????
Sam rolled her eyes, but she couldn’t help the fond chuckle that escaped her. She grabbed a blanket and gently draped it over the both of you before ruffling your hair lightly.
“Goodnight, ya little chook,” she murmured before heading to bed.

Grouchy II
Katrina Gorry x Baby!Reader
Summary: Mini thinks she's not giving you enough attention
It's a random tweet that sent Katrina on this tailspin.
It shouldn't have even caught her interest but it did. It shouldn't have even made its way onto her feed but it did. It was just a throw away tweet, like one of those inside jokes fans randomly have that the players could never really hope to understand.
But, still, Mini read it and now, she couldn't stop thinking about it.
'Still kind of funny that we see Harper all the time but not y/n. Favouritism perhaps? 🤪🤪🤪'
At first, she thought it was complete crap. Of course there was no favouritism in the house. Mini loves both you and Harper equally. You're both her kids.
But, as she lay caged in Clara's arms one night, she couldn't stop thinking about how right the tweet was. Not the stuff about favouritism but the stuff about not seeing you as much as Harper.
Harper is all over Mini's and West Ham's social media but you aren't. You feature a bit more heavily on Clara's account but that's only because you're usually in Clara's company more because Mini's at training.
There's no favouritism, at least nothing that Mini does on purpose. But she can't help but think.
Harper goes to kindie and Mini is quick to take care of you in the morning. It was her only day off in a while and the plan was for Clara to drop Harper off at kindie and take you out to meet some of her friends while Mini got to sleep in.
Mini, instead, insists that she'll get up at normal time so the two of you can hang out while Clara can fully enjoy her time with her friends.
"Alright, bubs," Mini says as she all but shoves Clara out of the door," What do you want to do?"
You wrinkle your nose up at her before turning away to play with your drum.
Mini sits down in front of your as you bang your drum with a closed fist. It's a bit embarrassing to think that she isn't quite sure how to play with you. You've got such a grumpy disposition that even doing something you enjoy is usually done with a frown.
Mini isn't quite sure when you're actually having fun and when you're not.
She reaches for your other drum and you stop banging to look at her. Mini bangs on her drum too.
She watches your reaction but you don't really give one so she bangs on it again and again.
You screech once in warning and Mini freezes.
You bum shuffle towards her and grab her hand.
She's been banging on the drum with an open hand instead of a fist so you force her hand into one before shuffling back to your drum.
You demonstrate with your own fist and wait.
Mini hits the drum in the same way and you seem satisfied, going back to playing again.
"Are you having fun, Bubs?" She asks and you kind of just grunt in some semblance of an answer.
Eventually, you get bored of your drum, kicking it away and standing up.
You fetch a book from the book corner before collapsing onto Mini's lap. Her arms come around you instantly and you clumsily open the book.
"Do you want me to read that for you?" She asks and you shove it into her hands.
It's one of those silly books made out of cardboard but Mini can't remember the last time she read to you so she's happy to do it, putting on an excited voice to try and draw you in.
You keep bringing her more books after that and Mini can happily say that this morning has been a success in her eyes.
You're still open to her affection and attention. She hasn't messed up too badly. So long as she makes sure to lather you in attention behind closed doors then it doesn't matter what people on the internet say.
"I'm home!" Clara calls out as she opens the door and suddenly you're shuffling away from Mini over to where the stuffed toys are waiting.
"Clara!" Mini laughs teasingly," You scared her off!"
Clara gives her an odd look. "I'm surprised she was even sitting on you. You know what Bubs is like."
Mini frowns. "Huh?"
Clara keeps talking as she takes off her shoes and coat. "You can never get that girl to willingly have cuddles with someone."
Objectively, Mini knows that. Capturing you for your bedtime kiss and cuddle is always a bit of a struggle and Mini's never really seen you sitting on Clara's lap during the day either.
"We read a story together," She replies and Clara laughs.
She crouches down in front of you, swiping a hand through your hair. Your brow wrinkles in answer as you turn to look at her.
"Did you read a book with Mummy because you see her do it with Harper?"
You don't answer.
"Huh?" Clara continues, poking you in one of your chubby cheeks that you puff out in annoyance. "Were you trying to make Mummy happy by doing something she does with your sister? You're such a sweetheart, Bubs."
"I...What?" Mini demands and Clara keeps laughing.
"Mini," She says," You know Bubs doesn't like playing with people. She did it because it makes you happy."
"But the book-"
"They're Harper's books."
"The drum-"
"Harper's drum."
"Did...Did I get duped by a baby?"
Mini must be imagining it but she's sure that she can see a smug little smirk on your face before you turn around to gnaw on the arm of one of your toys.
"Apparently so."

pair of pests: interviews ˏˋ°•*⁀ kyra x catley!reader, short fic/blurb
kyra cooney-cross x reader | 1.2k | based off of this ask (mostly just harper and tiny, with a little of kyra at the end)
Mini was currently in a post match interview with Harper when you’d been called into the room to wait on the side since you were supposed to have one as soon as Mini’s was done. You tried to be discreet and for the most part you’d been able to slip into the room without Harper’s attention shifting to you.
You silently laughed on the side, watching Harper inevitably steal the show from her mum. Climbing up onto the table, playing around with the microphone that was propped up on the table, looking out at everyone and then playing with the bracelets she had around her wrists that the fans had just given them.
Any interviews with Harper, she’d always steal the show and you couldn’t blame anyone, she was too cute to ignore. Though you’d accidentally laughed a little too loud which caught Harper’s attention. Knowing how she is with you, is why you’d tried to stay quiet and discreet so you wouldn’t ruin another one of Mini’s interviews.
‘Ti!’ Harper almost shouted and tried to get to you as fast as possible, climbing back up onto the table and trying to just jump off the other side. Mini had to jump up and quickly stop Harper from tumbling off the table onto the floor. Harper wiggled in Mini’s arms until she’d been placed on the ground and ran off to you.
‘Hi Harps,’ You leaned down, opening your arms so she could run into them and have you lift her up, ‘Shh we’ve gotta be quiet so your mum can finish up,’ You tried to keep Harper quiet while Mini finished her interview.
‘It’s boring,’ Harper whined, catching everyone’s attention while they laughed at her comment, you couldn’t help but laugh as well.
With everyone distracted it seemed to be the perfect time to finish up Mini’s post match interview. Mini moved away from the table over to where you were holding Harper, going to take Harper so you could do your post match interview. When Harper saw her mum coming towards you both she threw her arms around your neck and buried her head, if she couldn’t see her mum then she couldn’t be taken away from you.
You and Mini both shared a look as well as a small laugh at Harper’s actions, ‘You wanna stay with me and help me do my interview?’ You spoke softly. Harper lifted her head and nodded.
‘Oh but I thought it’s boring,’ Mini poked Harper’s side, making her laugh.
‘Boring with you but not with Ti!’ Harper gave Mini a little cheeky smile.
‘She spends too much time with you and Kyra,’ Mini laughed, giving your shoulder a little nudge.
‘I don’t know what you’re talking about,’ Mini shook her head when you gave her the exact same smile Harper had just given her. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that you and Harper aren’t actually sisters.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
You were on your way to a pre match press conference, since your schedule fit the best with it you Tony had asked you to do the press conference alongside him. Though you’d made the mistake of walking through where Mini, Harper and some of the other girls were.
Not even a minute of being in the same space as Harper, you’d heard the sounds of her little feet running towards you. Leaning down, you gave her a hug, ‘I’m sorry, I have to go speak with some people,’ It wasn’t the easiest to leave Harper, especially during camps she would almost always be attached to you. It was the most time she got to spend with you almost uninterrupted. You always did your best to see Mini, Harper and the rest of your little found family back in London, but away matches and different training schedules didn’t make it easy.
‘Okay,’ Harper smiled and grabbed onto your hand when you stood up and went to walk along with you.
The others there tried to help you out and get Harper to stay behind with them, ‘It’s okay, I’m sure no one will mind,’ Making your way to the press conference you caught up with Tony, ‘I’m sorry, we’re like a package deal at this point,’ You both laughed at your comment. No one could deny that it wasn’t true.
‘It’s alright, they might even have questions for little Harper,’
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
There were times where you got to have even more fun with the fact that Harper can pick you out in any kind of crowd. Like when it was an Arsenal v West Ham match and you were getting photos taken with your player of the match award. Harper had made her way through all the people to interrupt the photos.
Though you were prepared for something like this happening, since you knew you’d have your little shadow after the match. You’d bought a little Arsenal jersey and gotten Harper’s name printed on the back along with your number. Kyra helped you along with the plan of swapping Harper’s West Ham jersey with the Arsenal one. Kyra was waiting back a bit for you while you were busy with the staff when Harper came walking by her, ‘What I don’t get a hello?’ Kyra feigned offence but all she got was a little smirk and side eye from Harper.
‘Hang on a moment,’ You hadn’t gotten the photos taken just yet so you thought this was the perfect opportunity, ‘Kyra bring it here,’ You called out to your girlfriend who you knew was hiding the Arsenal jersey beneath her jacket. You both kneeled down next to Harper, ‘I got you a little present. How would you feel about wearing this right now?’ You asked Harper while Kyra held up the jersey, showing the back, ‘It’s just like mine,’ You turned slightly showing how the jersey’s both had the same number.
You both kept an eye out making sure no one, Mini in particular, would see this happening and stop it before you’d even had the chance to swap Harper’s jersey’s. Harper immediately reached out to grab at the jersey in Kyra’s hand. Kyra helped Harper swap the West Ham jersey she had over the top of her hoodie for the Arsenal one.
‘Much better in red,’ Kyra grinned and you knew Harper was going to copy that later and say it to Mini but it was all worth it.
‘Just like Ti!’ Harper was excited, showing off the jersey to some of the other Arsenal girls that were walking by before you scooped her up, holding out the little award so you and Harper could hold it for your photos. You’d gotten a bunch of photos of the two of you together, showing off the back of the jersey’s as well.
‘Yeah a little Tiny,’ Kyra smiled, admiring how good you were with Harper. Had her thinking about the future and getting to have moments like this with your own kid one day.

I need pregnant!reader x Katrina gorry pregnancy one 🙏
Christmas miracle \\ Katrina Gorry x pregnant!reader
A few weeks before Christmas is chaos in every household. But when you have your parents, Katrina's parents and your brother and his girlfriend flying in from Australia to spend it with you all, it’s organised chaos. At 38 weeks pregnant, you are at the point of Katrina doing everything and refusing to let you help, which you don't like.
"Babe just let me do something I swear to God" You whine as you follow Katrina around like a lost puppy.
"No babe stop. I know how it feels at 38 weeks so please just relax on the couch and watch a movie. I have it all under control" Katrina leans up and gives you a quick peck before softly guiding you to the couch and covers you in your favourite blanket.
"Yell if you need anything okay? I love you"
"I love you too" You grumble before putting on Arsenal's last game of the season.
Just over 12 hours later, your brother and his girlfriend arrived, much to Harper's liking. She has a soft spot for her uncles girlfriend (soon to be fiancé) ever since she could call her Auntie. Harper took her up to her room and immediately starting playing with toys.
Soon after both sets of parents showed up and the house was full to the brim. Both dads and your brother were helping Katrina build something 'top secret' in the garage, so the mums and your nearly sister in law relaxed with you in the living room.
"Are you excited for him to come?" You mum asks you, changing the conversation topic.
"I am but I'm so scared mum. I haven't told Katrina yet because I don't want to worry her but what if something happens to him because of me. I can't live with that" Just as your wiping some tears away, Harper comes in the room but frowns when she sees you.
"Why is brother moving a lot? I just wanna cuddle him" Harper sadly admits while hugging you.
"It’s because he loves you so much bubba. He wants to cuddle you too" You whisper to Harper, bringing a small smile to her face.
Minutes later Katrina rushes back into the room with Harper on her tail, panting as she ran up 2 levels of stairs.
"Are you okay? Is it time? Do we have things packed? Oh my god, the bag" You stand up and cup Katrina's cheeks.
"Everything is fine. I'm fine and the baby's fine" You hear a cough in the background and you know it's your mum trying to get you to talk to your wife. "Actually, can I talk you upstairs for a minute?"
"Of course my love"
You both go upstairs to your shared room and close the door before sitting on the bed. You explain to Katrina your worries and thoughts and she reassures you that everything is okay and that she’ll help in anyway she can.
“I think he’s ready” You both move apart and see the massive wet patch on the bed.
Katrina helps you get changed into dry clothes and moved downstairs to your awaiting mothers and sister in law. You gave your mum a small nod and she immediately went downstairs to tell the others. Katrina quickly put the baby bag in the car as you put your slides on.
“What happened mama?” Harper puts her hands on your bump just as a contraction hits.
“Your brother has decided to come bubba. You’re going to stay here and you can visit him later okay?” Harper nods and Katrina comes back to you.
“Ready love?” You nod and waddle to the car.
///
“- last push, and go” you pushed with all your energy and those cries you’ve both waited 9 months to hear rang through the room.
The nurse took your newborn over to get weighed and cleaned up while Katrina pushed your sweaty hair out of your face.
“You did so well. I’m beyond proud of you” Katrina gave you a kiss before the nurse brought your baby boy over to put him on your chest.
“He’s perfect”
After Katrina holding him and the nurses doing their routine checks, you look at the notice the time is a little after 1 in the morning.
“Merry Christmas Kat”
“Merry Christmas babe and happy birthday Koby”

Tiny Tillie | Katrina Gorry x Reader
5k celebration prompt: “Our girl’s first football practice.”
Woso masterlist | Words: 1.2k
-----
Harper grew up in a world filled with football. With both of her mom’s playing professionally, there hadn’t been a day in her life where a ball wasn’t involved. She had joined you and Katrina on camps since she was a little baby, and it hadn’t taken long before every single one of your teammates had become her aunties.
While she had already kicked balls around in the biggest stadiums, in front of thousands and thousands of people, she had always been too young to sign up for your local football club.
You and Katrina had always said you wouldn’t force her to be into football like the both of you, your children would be free to love whatever they wanted. But Harper loved football with her whole heart. She wanted to be just like her mom’s.
After asking again and again if she could play, you were finally able to enroll her. She would have her first practice with the club today, and she had not stopped talking about it all week. Her enthusiasm was the most adorable thing.
The morning of Harper’s first practice was pure chaos, but in the best way. It started by her hopping into your bed and jumping around. “Get up! Get up! Get up!” She chanted full of excitement.
You swooped her out of the air mid jump, and held her down onto the bed in a cuddle. “Darling, practice isn’t for another couple of hours.” You tried, hoping she would let you and Katrina stay in bed just a little longer. “But mama, I gotta get ready.”
“Hmmm, I think that you have plenty of time, and maybe the tickle monster should have a visit first.” Katrina chimed in, lifting her hands tauntingly above your daughter. “Noooo.” Harper said as she was trying to get up to escape the incoming tickle attack, but Katrina’s fingers were tickling her tummy and sides before she was able to run off.
Your bedroom filled with her giggles, a sound you would never be able to get enough of. “Mama!” She cried out with laughter. “Help me!” You wrapped your arms around her protectively and softly swatted your wife’s hands away.
“Alright Harps, why don’t you put on your training kit. Mommy put it on your chair last night. Then I will be right there, alright?” Harper’s eyes lit up at your words. She jumped off of the bed and sprinted to her room. “Save some of that energy for practice.” Katrina said after her jokingly.
Then she turned to you, “Can you believe it’s our girl’s first football practice?” You shook your head and pulled your wife closer. “I still remember the first time we took her to camp with us like it was yesterday. I can’t wait to see the joy on our little girl’s face when she’s out there.”
“Mama, help!” You heard Harper from the other side of the hallway. You kiss your wife’s head. “Duty calls.”
When you walk into Harper’s room you see her struggling to get her shirt on. It was all twisted around her small frame, one arm through the head hole and the other in the wrong arm hole. “Hm I think this is fixable. Arms up.” You said and helped her pull the fabric off.
“Here, let me hold it up for you, and then you can try again.” She carefully watched what you did, eager to learn how to do it herself. She had been in a phase lately where she wanted to do everything herself, so you let her and knew she’d come to you if she needed help anyways.
“There we go, well done darling.” You praised her when she managed to get the shirt on properly the second time around. She proudly showed off her outfit, that’s when your eyes fell on the West Ham short she was wearing. “Darling, why are you wearing your West Ham kit? You got shorts from your club.”
“Because they’re my favourite Mama.” You were about to tell her to switch them out, but Katrina stepped up behind you and wrapped her hands around your waist. “Pick your battles, love. They’re just shorts.”
Katrina was right, as long as it was training, she should be fine in her West Ham shorts. “Alright, West Ham shorts it is.” Harper jumped around excitedly. “Yay, let’s go Hammers!” You both chuckled.
“I’m going to start on breakfast, see you downstairs.” Katrina whispered to you. Leaving you to continue helping Harper get ready.
When she was all dressed, and you finished braiding her hair, the two of you headed downstairs. Instead of walking to the dining table however, Harper went straight for the kit bag that Katrina had gotten ready last night.
“Where do you think you’re going, Harps?” Katrina called out to her. “We have to go to practice, Mommy.” She shook her head with a chuckle. “Come have some breakfast first, we still have time. Footballers need to have a good breakfast, so they can be strong on the pitch. You want to be strong, right?”
“I am strong, Mommy.” She said showing off her muscles. “Well, I think some pancakes would make you even stronger than that.” At the word ‘pancake’ she dropped her bag and sprinted to the dining table. “That’s my girl.” She said proudly before placing a stack of pancakes in front of her.
Once breakfast was ready, there was no stopping the little baller from wanting to go to practice. Heading over early actually worked out for the surprise you had planned.
When you got to the parking lot, Harper was hastily trying to undo her seatbelt, wanting to get out of the car as fast as possible. You opened her door and walked her to the little sidewalk in front of the car before, while Katrina got the bag from the trunk.
Harper was too busy looking towards the pitch to notice two people walking towards her. “Look who’s here.” You nudged her in the right direction. “Kywa! ChaCha!” She yelled out full of excitement as she ran their way. Jumping into Kyra’s arms as the midfielder lifted her up and spun her around.
“Are you ready for your first practice?” Charli asked Harped as she kissed her cheek. “Yes, I’m gonna be just like all of you!”
“Our Tiny Tillie.” Kyra said to her, “I can’t wait to see you out there.”
Then Harper looked over Kyra’s shoulder and saw even more familiar faces. “Put me down! Put me down!” She said, wiggling her legs. The moment her feet touched the ground she ran off to greet Steph and Caitlin. It was safe to say that the surprise of some of her aunties coming down for her first practice was a success.
Together with some of you Aussie girls, you watched your daughter play full of pride. She looked to be having the time of her life, a big smile plastered on her face as she was running around on the pitch with the rest of the kids. No matter how far she wanted to take football, you would be there to support her through it all.

First Valentine’s Day living with Mini

Warnings/Notes: None / Short little drabble, thats 100% NOT Late
─ ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ──── ♡ ─── ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ──
You woke up to the soft pitter patter of hurried feet and little giggles, followed by your girlfriend’s hushed whispers. Clearly a failing attempt to keep the girl quiet, you chuckle to yourself at that and close your eyes doing your best to act like you were fast asleep.
Not seconds later harper was barging in the door and jumping on you, eagerly shaking you awake and shouting to get up.
“C’mon y/n! Up! Up! It’s Mommy and you day!” Your eyes opened at that, your heart melting at the sight of mini holding a tray of ur favourite breakfast at the doorway. Harper holding a small fake rose and a heart shaped card looking at u so enthusiastically.
Despite the lingering tiredness you nod and pull her onto ur lap attempting to match her enthusiasm as the three of you got on with the day.
After a cute gift exchange and many kisses from Kat, not to mention sharing your breakfast with Harper, the three of you made it downstairs for a lazy day together. The both of you having the day off and wanting to include Harper in the celebration due to her excitement of having a day to shower someone with love.
You spent the rest of the day in front of the TV with comfort foods, Cozy movies and cuddles from your favourite girls.
Harper occasionally slipping off the sofa to colour or play with her toys, her attention span being a lot less than that of yours or Katrina’s.
Every time she climbed back into your lap shed have a nee drawing for one of you and cuddles for you both.
The day ended with Harper snuggling into your chest, eyes fluttering closed as the excitement of the fay had finally caught up to her muttering a soft “Best Mommy and Mama day”.

The Matilda Kids(MatildasXCatleyReader)

Summary: you got in trouble before national Camp.
Your Mom had a hold of your Backpack, while you were wearing it. Not wanting to give you a Chance to walk off since you are grounded. Kyra who arrived with you found it hilarious. In big sister Fashion she had sent this to the Arsenal Team Chat. You were 15 years old. Playing for Arsenal and the Matildas alongside your Mom and Kyra.
Mini walked over with Harper. Who was excited to see you and you were excited to see her as well. She hugged your leg and you picked her up.
"hi harps!" You told her with a smile.
"hi y/n! I Kyra! I Steph!" Harper said. "Y/n! Come Play!" She added. Before you could say anything your mom stepped in.
"hi Harper! Y/n can't Play right now! She was naughty and is grounded now." Your Mom said. Mini looked at you and you Put Harper down.
"uh, kiddo what did you do to make your Mom so mad?" She asked. Kyra was Happy to explain things to Mini.
"stephy caught her smoking a cigarette!" She explained.
"No! Y/n Smoking is Bad!" Harper told you.
"i know! I only tried it once!" You tried to explain.
"you have Asthma! Y/n Harriet Catley! This can literally kill you!" Your Mom answered. She clearly wasn't amused. And honestly you couldn't blame her.
"that was a stupid Idea! Your Mom is right!" Mini let you know.
"i know. It was stupid and i am sorry! But i only literally had one try. I hated it! Won't ever do it again! So i don't See why that is such a big deal and why i need to be grounded!" You answered.
"cause you put yourself in danger and did something that wasn't legal for you! So you are grounded for the next two days. Be thankful it's only for two days and not for all of Camp!" Steph stated.
"sucks to be you!" Kyra replied teasingly. You glared at her.
"Kyra be nice!" Mini said. "Or you will be in trouble as well!" She added. You grinned at that.
"Kyra and y/n are so silly!" Harper answered.
You went to your room. Of course your roommate was Steph. Cause otherwise your Mom couldn't really control what you did ,If you stayed with someone else. Also she probably wants to make sure you are not sneaking off to see Sloane. Your girlfriend and daughter of Caitlin and Katie. Which given you totally would have done. But now both you and Sloane are stuck with a parent.
Later that day you went down to have dinner. Seeing your girlfriend so you wanted to walk over to her but Kyra held you back.
"Steph said not to let you leave my sight until she comes downstairs! So you are stuck with me!" Kyra answered.
"really? Now you want to be responsible?" You asked and rolled your eyes at her. So Sloane walked over to the two of you. Kissing you gently. You kissed her back.
"Love Birds, no kissing. No touching. Y/n is grounded!" Kyra stated. You really wanted to flip Kyra off but your Mom and Mini walked over with Harper so you didn't do it.
"what's wrong?" Sloane asked.
"i am grounded!" You let her know. She was confused.
"why are you grounded?" Your girlfriend wanted to know.
"y/n tried a cigarette!" Harper told Sloane. Sloane reacted with hitting your shoulder.
"y/n Harriet Catley! Are you serious?! You have Asthma! That's so dangerous and stupid!" She told you.
"okay, ouch! I know! I won't do it again!" You answered and rolled your eyes again playfully.
"you better not do that or there won't be any kisses for two weeks!" Sloane stated. You pouted softly.
"noted!" You answered.
"wow! You can do this better then me! Next time she is in trouble i will let you punish her!" Your Mom told your girlfriend.
"i don't think Sloane can survive two weeks without kisses either." Caitlin stated. Looking at her daughter. "But seemed to have worked cause y/n looks like that healed her need to ever try smoking again!" She added. Sloane was blushing a bit.
"i would stop kissing her for two weeks though if she puts herself in danger again!" Sloane told everyone.
"i think y/n won't do it again!" Harper said gently.
"yes Harper is right. Which i already said, i won't do it again! Ever!" You told them and sighed softly.
"so can we please just Play together now?" Harper wanted to know. Looking at your Mom. Steph sighed softly.
"Okay fine! Yes you can go off and have some fun!" Your Mom told you. You high fived Harper and walked off with her and Sloane. There was a Corner with Boardgames and Card Games. So you three sat down and played a round of UNO, before playing some Monopoly. Not being grounded was so much better. Cause now you could actually have fun, play football and spent time with your girlfriend and Harper.

First days || Matilda’s x reader
Request | Masterlist | Prompt list
Warning Teen pregnancy, throwing up
Summary Your first few days as a mother were harder than you expected but you have the best people around you to help.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
It had been a stressful few days at the hospital.
You were navigating through the idea of having a son whilst trying to keep up with reality.
Krew had been the best thing to ever happen to you but boy could he scream his little lungs off.
He’d start with a small cry, one barely loud enough to hear, but it was always followed by a wail.
Caitlin had stayed by your side most of the time, only going home last night because you forced her to, but she’d gotten Steph to come instead.
She had come bright and early this morning though.
It was also agreed that you and krew would go home today, both of you being perfect.
Kyra and Charli had made their way to the hospital too, wanting to see their new nephew again.
Kyra held krew in her arms, watching him sleep, as Charli help you pick out his going home outfit.
Caitlin and Steph were also helping you pack your bags at the same time, not wanting you to over do anything.
“I think we’re all ready.” You say as you finish buckling Krew in his car seat.
“Come on then, bug.” Caitlin smiled, wrapping her arm around your shoulder as she took your bag.
You walked out of the hospital with krew in your arm.
You were so happy, so happy that a smile didn’t leave your face the entire day.
That changed as soon as it reached night time though.
You’d fed Krew and put him in his cot, managing to transfer him over without waking him.
You settled into bed yourself, hoping to catch up on at least an hour or twos sleep before he woke up for a feed but as soon as you fell asleep, that small cry you knew all too well was heard.
Just like all the other times, a piercing cry filled the room, Krew small legs kicking away as his little face scrunched up.
“Hi, bubba. What’s wrong, huh? Are you just being difficult?” You cooed, resting him on your chest as you rubbed his back.
His cries quietened down and he fell back to sleep, the room being peaceful and silent once again.
“You okay?” Caitlin said after peeping her head round the door.
“He’s just being difficult. He’s fast asleep now.” You whispered, leaning over to put him back in his cot.
“You try get some sleep. I’m only next door. If you need anything, wake me, okay?” Caitlin said and you nodded.
She placed a kiss on your head before leaving.
In what felt like weeks, you finally got a few hours sleep.
Krew slept decently well, only waking up four times for feeds.
Maybe this whole motherhood thing wouldn’t be that bad.
—
You were so so wrong when you thought that.
You loved being a mother, you loved Krew with your whole heart, but you missed the nights where you slept for more than three hours. You missed the being able to go out whenever you wanted. You missed the times where there was actually silence in the house.
Krew was fussy. He had to be touching someone at all times.
The only way you got him to sleep was if he was on you, or if you were patting his tummy which made bedtime hell.
You were so stressed when trying to out him to sleep because as soon as you took your hand away, he could start crying.
When Caitlin heard you sobbing one night, she knew she had to do something.
So, she rang the person who’d understand exactly what you were going through.
Mini
Mini came round the following morning, enveloping you in a hug, noticing the rings round your eyes straight away.
“Hey, bug. How you coping?”
“It’s hard.” You revealed, sighing as you sat down with Krew in your arms.
“I know it is. What’s bothering you though? I can tell something’s wrong.”
“He just wants to be with me all the time. I spends good half an hour every night patting his tummy to get him to sleep and then even when he’s asleep, it’s like he knows my hands not there and the starts screaming the house down.” You explained, close to tears.
“Caitlin mentioned that over the phone last night, and I had the exact same thing with harper. I found something though and it was a god send. I brought it with today so you can try it. It’s a teddy that feels like a hand patting his tummy. You just rest it on him.” Mini explained, pulling the teddy from her bag.
“Mini, you’re the best.”
“Listen, bug. Motherhoods hard, but it’s the most rewarding thing in the world. Just remember you’ve got all of us here to help you. You’re not alone.” Mini said, your hormones getting to you as you sat there sobbing.
“Thank you.”
“Don’t thank us, bug. Just remover its true.”
You really did have the best teammates.

You belong with me II Alanna Kennedy x Reader

masterlist I word count: 1516
a/n: we combined two requests for this oneshot, hope you guys like it !
As the social media manager of the Australian national team, you never got tired of working with the players to create new content together.
In that moment you were already focused by placing the big camera on the tripod in front of you, after that was done you looked up to Mackenzie Arnold, your girlfriend’s best friend, humming:” Ready?”
“Yes, fire your questions away.”, the goalkeeper responded smiling brightly at you.
Satisfied by her okay you clapped into your hands: ”Alright, let’s start.”
“Yes, please.”, the brunette nodded happily. You two were suddenly interrupted by Harper, who was running excitedly into the open arms of the player: ”Macca!”
“Hi Harper and Cait.”, Mackenzie greeted the intruders warmly.
Noisily Caitlin Foord wanted to know from both of you:” What are you two doing?”
“Recording a video for the Matilda’s Instagram?”, you replied shrugging, because it was quite obvious for everyone to see what was going on here.
In good spirits the goalkeeper explained:” It was supposed to be a quick round of questions.”
“What questions?”, Katrina Gorrys’s daughter asked big eyed. Casually
Mackenzie shrugged her shoulders:” Just random questions?”
“Like?”, the toddler pressed on stubbornly.
Her curiosity was endearing to you, that’s why you patiently answered her:” Like who’s her favourite roommate and what’s her favourite food in camp.”
“It’s so obvious. I’m her favourite roommate because Lani sneaks out to be with you at night.”, the Arsenal forward said with a cheeky grin on her lips.
With a frustrated sigh you interrupted the conversation you have been filming since Harper appeared a few minutes ago:” Cut!”
“I thought we didn’t even start anyway.”, Mackenzie giggled confused.
Sheepishly you told her:” I already hit the record button.” “And she’s getting paid for that.”, Caitlin teasingly rolled her eyes at you.
Groaning you hid the face behind your hands: “Girls!” “What?”, the forward threw up an eyebrow.
Meanwhile Harper who realized you were filming them was now in her element, clapping her hands like she was the director of this set, exclaiming delighted:” And action.”
“See, they should pay her. She’s carrying our social media appearance.”, Caitlin remarked amused.
To your defense came Mackenzie who pointed out to one of her closest friends:” She does, but y/n always makes you look good in photos as you said earlier.” “She does.”, the Arsenal player admitted.
Clearing your throat, you draw back the attention to the task which lay ahead of you all:” So who’s your favourite and worst roommate in camp.”
“They’re both going to kill me. Caitlin and Alanna but I’m not saying who is which.”, the goalkeeper responded with a wink to the camera.
You bit back a laugh and continued; “Okay, next question. What’s your favourite part of the training camp?“
Without missing a beat, Mackenzie answered; “Seeing the girls.“
“Awww!“, Caitlin cooed from somewhere next to you with a smirk.
The goalkeeper made a dismissive hand gesture in her direction; “Shut up. I’m talking about Mini and Harper!“
“Rude!“, Caitlin complained, laughing.
You shook your head at the two football players; “Girls, please!“
“Focus.“, Harper said as strictly as possible for a toddler and pointed her finger into Mackenzies direction.
You smiled at the little girl; “Thanks, Harper.“
Mackenzie looked at Caitlin in disbelief; “Can’t believe we’re getting called out by Harps!“
“She’s already a social media pro.“, you shrugged. Caitlin grinned; “We can tell.“
The filming was again interrupted by Katrina; “Oh, here she is!“ Harper immediately ran into her mothers arms who gently picked her up.
“Harper was in safe hands, Mini. I’m a keeper.“, Mackenzie commented, smiling about her own joke.
Caitlin rolled her eyes; “Worst joke ever, Macca.“ “Shush it. Time to go back to filming.“, the goalkeeper decided and you were more than happy to comply.
After you managed to film the video without any further interruptions, Alanna was impatiently waiting for you. With her arms crossed over her chest, she was playfully pouting; “You did a video without me?“
“It was Maccas turn.“, you explained matter-of-factly.
Mackenzie who left the room right behind you winked at her friend; “Yes, and it was fun. Even though Harper stole the show as usual.“
“She did.“, you agreed with a laugh. Alanna pretended to be shocked; “Rude.“
“Jealous that your girlfriend didn’t work with you today?“, Caitlin teased, closing the door of the hotel room that you used to film.
Unimpressed, Alanna shook her head; “She only does videos with you, guys.“
“So that’s a yes.“, Mackenzie concluded with raised eyebrows.
You eyed your girlfriend from the side while you remarked; “I mean at home she only takes photos with Leila recently. So it’s fair.“
The defenders jaw dropped open; “Don’t start with Leila now. You never want to be on my photos.“ “
Well, you never ask me.“, you continued.
Alanna retorted; “Don’t distract. You also never ask me to be in your little videos.“
“That’s something different.“
“Not at all!“
“We’ll talk about this later.“, you ended the discussing while fondly rolling you eyes about your girlfriends teasing.
“Fine.“ Your small dispute attracted some of the drama-loving Matildas.
Mary Fowler looked at you with curious eyes; “Trouble in paradise?“
“Yes, Mary. Obviously.“, Alanna shook her head, laughing. Kyra Cooney-Cross grimaced; “Trouble? No way, that’s our thing.“
Steph Catley shot her an inquisitive look; “What did you do again that we haven’t noticed yet?“
“What are you talking about, Steph?“, Alanna asked.
“Talking about Kyra. I think she was onto some mischief again.“, her fellow defender explained without taking her eyes off the younger player.
“I’m going to bed now. Good night, girls.”, you announced.
“Lani is she still pouting because of the Leila photos or is this just a thing you love to tease eachother with?”, curiously Mary turned to look at your girlfriend, expecting a dramatic reply.
“No, we’re just making fun.”, Alanna reassured the younger forward.
“You two are such weirdos.”, Steph commented smirking.
Unimpressed by the teasing of the fellow Matilda’s she shook her head:” We’re cute.”
“Sometimes.”, Mary admitted.
Your girlfriend rolled her eyes: “You’re too young to have an opinion.”
“Rude.”, the younger player scoffed playfully.
The evening went on as usually, but Alanna decided to say goodnight to the team because she wanted to see you desperately after your dispute earlier.
When she came into your room you were already laying on the hotel bed, the only thing you were wearing was an old jersey of your girlfriend which was big enough on you to cover all the important parts. “Hi love.”, you hummed.
Noticing your sleeping clothes Alanna lifted an eyebrow:” What are you trying to do?”
“These are my normal sleeping clothes.”, you answered innocently.
“You never sleep in my jersey.”, the Mancity player remarked.
“Okay, fine, maybe I wanted to show you that I belong to you.”, you sighed.
The blonde nodded slowly: “I do hope so.”
“And you belong to me.”, you concluded with a seducing smile.
“I do?”, Alanna asked grinning while letting her eyes glance over your whole figure taking it all in.
“Yes.”, you replied confidently, now looking at her the same way she did a few seconds ago.
“I see.” cheekily she took your camera from the nightside table, I think it’s time for a couple photo.”
“Fair enough, through the mirror?”, you suggested beaming.
Shrugging her shoulders, Alanna agreed to it: “Fine. If you want it artsy.”
“I do.”, you told her.
“Of course you do.”, the defender smirked at you.
After a couple of tries to take the photos, you looked up to her:” Thanks, it turned out really cute, don’t you think?”
“Yes, I love it.”, she said equally satisfied with the photos and the pretty picture you two made together.
For a moment your girlfriend hesitated before adding:” Can we post it?”
“Sure.”
“Great.”, Alanna kissed you, afterwards she quickly posted it, the rest of the evening her focus was entirely on you.
The next day you were back taking photos of the Matilda’s during their training.
“Look who’s coming now.”, Hayley nodded in the direction from where Mackenzie, Alanna and Caitlin were arriving on the pitch side.
Immediately you were blushing, remember the night you had with the blonde defender, while taking a photo of the trio:” Name a better trio, Hayley. I’m waiting.”
“The powerpuff girls.”, the forward laughed.
Jumping on to your back Kyra almost screamed into your ears:” Charli, Mini and me!”
“Nirvana.”, Ellie giggled.
“I shouldn’t have asked.”, you mumbled but couldn’t help to smile at all the answers the player had given.
“Don’t forget the Jonas brothers.”, Charli winked at you while pulling the young Arsenal midfielder away from you.
“I’ll make this the next random question for a video.”, decided.
The Tottenham player immediately supported your idea:” You should.”
Meanwhile Alanna was hugging you from behind, whispering:” As long as you think we’re the best trio.”
“Always.”, you replied, turning around to kiss your girlfriend on her lips ignoring the howling noises Caitlin and Mackenzie made.
You were never more certain that you and Alanna belonged together.
