[Fiction] The Admiral Brother - Chapter 1

“At the end of every war, justice will prevail because he who wins the war will do his own justice.”

Admiral Monkey D. Luffy's shoulder-length hair played with the wind. His onyx eyes fixated on the infinite blue ocean, watching some birds fly through the sky, free. As he saw this, Luffy felt the familiar feeling of longing for freedom. The longed to spread his wings and travel the world with the thought that nothing could chain or even stop him. The omega wanted to get out, to be free, from the Cage that the World Government locked him up for.

What an impossible thought.

Luffy closed his eyes, clenching his hand around the letter that was sent to him a lot tighter.

Admiral Aotori,

Portgas D. Ace, son of the Pirate King, Gold Roger, and the Second Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, has been caught. He will be executed at Marineford and your Presence is Mandatory.

Gorosei

He smiled coldly, wondering what the Government had wanted for him to do this. He made a deal that he would serve under them, under the Gorosei and the World Government, but in return, his family, his two younger brothers, his Ace, and Sabo will not be touched. The deal also includes the place where the three of them grew up, Dawn Island, more specifically, Foosha Village. But if he betrayed them then the island and the life of his brothers are sealed. Were they trying to prove his loyalty by breaking the deal? By provoking him?

This made him laugh, a cold and bitter laugh. The Gorosie knew they had him against a rock and a hard place. Luffy couldn’t go and help Ace, because Foosha Village would be destroyed and then Sabo would then be hunted, but at the same time, he couldn’t let his brother, the one he raised when Ace was just 4 years old, be executed under their hands. The Young Admiral had to save his brother and at the same time, act as a puppet of the Marines, or his loved ones would pay the price for his actions.
