reason: first of all theyre both petty bitches. theyre also both valued almost entirely because of their looks. ann canonically voices regret that things couldnt turn out better with goro and the other main characters.

she also very easily could have killed her abuser and been "just as bad as akechi" but she decided not to because she decided that death was too merciful and she wanted the abuser to live with the overwhelming guilt he would now feel. BI4BI VIBES ONLY i do not think theyre straight at all <3

(maybe there's a charitable reading that ryuji was trying to keep her out because of that, he just handled that with zero tact and came across like a jerk). i know im not the only one but apologies for continuing to clutter up your inbox, lol. i am very invested in this world you're building!

and yes. goro knows full well that there's no preparing for the absolute mindfuckery of the metaverse. but being warned about its nature at least builds wariness, and wariness can be lend to the split second between survival and death.

ryuji was trying to keep her safe absolutely and he has no qualms with her joining them post-awakening, but unfortunately he's a little 😭 misogynistic .. just a teensy bit ........ i can't blame him for it too much considering how he grew up, but still. was very pleased to have goroann tell him off for it

So me and Carmine (@thecafeleblanc ) were talking about ships other than shuake that we liked and we both loved shuann. They told me that their first playthrough had Ann, Goro and Morgana, which they succinctly summed up with this anecdote;

Welp, it was too funny to let go, so I decided to work through my sore thumb to make this ship aesthetic for them. Love you, Carmine, I hope you like it.
