Adachi knew he shouldn’t spend more time in the TV world than he should, but there was always something that drew him in to that ominous room. There was something about truly being in solitude in that place that he enjoyed going there to think and to make sure no one else had been there quite yet.

Of course, Adachi knew something was wrong when he heard footsteps approaching. Could it be Yu and his friends? No way. There’s no way they had known about this place – It must be a shadow that had lost its way. Instead, Adachi was surprised to see a familiar face but not one he had been expecting. Was that Akamine Tenji, the dentist’s son?

Adachi tried to remain calm, he could always just say he didn’t know what the hell was going on either. “A-ah? Is that really another person? I don’t know how I ended up here… What kind of place is this?”

The first time Tenji had put his hand through the TV screen, he had been certain it was a dream. It had frightened him so much that he’d dodged right back into bed and under the covers, not knowing what on earth had possessed him to even try when he saw the rumoured Midnight Channel spark into life. The second time, he was bolder, but not by much, hands clutched at the collar of his knitted sweater as he paced the strange environs, a peculiar imitation of the Inaba he knew only too well.

The place was at once eerily quiet, and yet he was sure he could hear whispers, whimpers and distant groans. Every time he stood still, the noises stopped dead - except for one, a rustling in one of the buildings that he felt possessed to follow. Tip-toeing after the sound in low-heeled boots, he yelped when he was suddenly addressed.

“... What’re you doing here...?” Adachi - the lazy detective he so often found goofing off around town. “You-... I put my hand on the TV and I-... this isn’t a dream, is it...? How’d you get here?”
