[Chapter One] The Fall

[Human AU] When Anthony J. Crowley gets fired from his well-respected job as an English teacher (at an equally well-respected London private school), his only option is to apply for everything and anything. The only job offered? A tiny primary school, seemingly in the middle of absolute NOWHERE. Without any other options, Crowley takes the job, with every intention of leaving just as soon as he can find something better. Aziraphale Fell, a licensed child counsellor and school chaplain, has worked at St. George's Primary School for years and is well-loved by staff and children alike (despite, on occasion, being a little behind on the times). He loves everything about his job, from the drawings stuck up on the walls of his office to to the creaky, coffee-stained chair, but even Aziraphale is aware that he lives, breathes and dies for the job... and not much else. One cold day in January, their worlds' collide.

What Could Have Been (Or, What Will Be)

Read it on AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/50779306/chapters/128275486 The day Aziraphale leaves, Crowley begins to see him. Behind his shoulder, turning a corner, in a mirror. Even in his dreams, Aziraphale is everywhere. At first, Crowley finds peace in them, but when Anathema Device and Newton Pulsifer show up on his doorstep, it seems that these dreams and sightings are something more. Anathema prophesies extinction and the dead rising. The Second Coming. Grappling with his own feelings for Aziraphale, Crowley never thought there would be a time when it would be difficult to go against Heaven. That he would have to do this without Aziraphale. If there will be an Earth for Aziraphale to return to, it would be Crowley who has to save it.

In Heaven, Aziraphale is at constant work. This is why angels are made to overcome exhaustion--though according to Crowley, Aziraphale might be the exception to this rule. Though drained and alone, Aziraphale convinces himself that must work to save the Earth no matter the cost. He's never done such a thing without Crowley before, and he's not sure if he can. There must be a way--small and indetectable--that could allow him to reach the demon below. Crowley would come to him, he's certain of it.

I haven’t seen a fic about what happens after GO S2 from Nina and Maggie’s pov, (although I haven’t been really looking lol) so I was wondering if anyone would be interested in one?
