🪄 - What is your favorite type of lee/ler?

lee: okay. i don’t know how to answer this bc i literally love all lees, they’re all SO CUTE ): i’ll say some things i love that lees do, though! i like when they hide behind their hands. alternatively, i like when someone is enjoying it so much that they’re just giggling and watching u or looking up at u with their cute lil smiley face and puffed out cheeks and just….yeah 🥺 i love when lees do lil kickies or like bang their fists against the ground or grip their hands into their shirt or a blanket or grip the lers wrists bc it just tks so damn bad that they don’t know what to do with themselves. i also like playful lees!!!! banter, laughing together and dumb shit that happens during the tks, just having a nice time and stuff like that. also when they’re squirmy. soo yeah. i could actually go on for so much longer but…..i need to stop.

ler: i actually was just gonna tag @awkwardtickleetoo for the memes, but i decided to behave and answer it normally so….yep. nnnnnh. okay. i like teasy lers. i am…….very responsive to teases. i like when lers are super soft or super mean. like with lees i loveeeeeeee the banter and the playfulness that comes with it. teasy lers that are kind of playful and rough are just A+. again, i actually like all types of lers but i do love me the teasy playful ones and the soft ones sm. i just love lers. they’re all so cute and lovely and just….yeah 😵‍💫

☕️ - Are you more ticklish on the upper or lower part of your body?

this is hard……..uhm. i feel like i may be a tad sensitive everywhere so it’s kind of hard to think of which is worse. i think there’s a high number of spots on the upper part, but more panicky spots on the bottom. they’re both close in sensitivity i’d say but….maybe upper body 🫠

⛅️ - Sleepy tickles or hyper?

!!!!! this is so hard for me. i am an actual SUCKER for sleepy tks (i think yal know that from all my fics), but i definitely prefer a rougher and more playful kind of tk so i think maybe i’d pick hyper????? it would all depend on my mood tbh. but both are so incredible and cute and fun and just……the best ever. i love them both sm

i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping

One of my favourite questions for figuring out a character’s motivations is which qualities they most fear being assigned to them. Are they afraid (consciously or unconsciously) of being seen as stupid? Ungrateful? Weak? Incompetent? Lazy? Cowardly? Intimidating? Like they actually care? etc.

It’s such a fun way to explore into who they are, why they do what they do, what they don’t do out of fear, and how they might be affected by the events of the story. And I love when characters have negative motivations—trying to avoid something (in this case, being seen a particular way) as much as they’re trying to achieve a goal.

Lae'zel's character and her entire situation at the beginning of the game becomes so much more funny when you find out she's 22. It makes so much sense. Imagine you're 22 and you're exposed to this dangerous toxin or chemical or something - but not to worry, you learnt that this can be easily fixed, you just need to dial 911 real quick. Common knowledge. Everyone knows that. You learnt that in kindergarten, it's up there with fire alarm drills.

But the people you're stuck with have no concept of modern medicine and when you say "let's go to the hospital" they will say shit like "i think they kill people at the hospital" and "we should ask this swamp lady" or "this guy over there told me about this homoeopathic healer kind of guy but he got abducted" or "this random bard wants to help" and "I'm not going to dial 911 because I don't want the government to know my home address" or "maybe we should consider a deal with Satan". And then a bunch of them KEEP consuming the chemical because it makes them "stronger". One guy might explode for unrelated reasons. You have a few days before this situation is getting critical and suddenly they're solving crime and doing general charity for the community.

And FOR SOME REASON you still try to help these idiots and you STILL want to help them get the cure even though they all keep insisting the "doctors" at the "hospital" might try to "kill them" and they don't have insurance. And you keep telling them to just. go. to. the. hospital. before the time runs out and you all die very horribly of a very treatable condition.

And also you're 22 in a foreign country and you're responsible for shepherding this gaggle of idiots who are all ranging anywhere from 24 to 240 years old.

is that piece of media actually bad, or is it just not following the blueprint you projected onto it? is that work actually not good, or are you just demanding something from it that is absolutely antithetical to its themes, genre, tone, and narrative goal? is that story actually poorly written, or do you just dislike that it is not the specific things you wanted from it that it never set out to be, never was, and never is going to become? is it actually bad, or is it actually well-executed and you just dislike the story it chose to be because it isn't catering to your specific desires and expectations?

this is just my opinion but i think any good media needs obsession behind it. it needs passion, the kind of passion that's no longer "gentle scented candle" and is now "oh shit the house caught on fire". it needs a creator that's biting the floorboards and gnawing the story off their skin. creators are supposed to be wild animals. they are supposed to want to tell a story with the ferocity of eating a good stone fruit while standing over the sink. the same protective, strange instinct as being 7 and making mud potions in pink teacups: you gotta get weird with it.

good media needs unhinged, googling-at-midnight kind of energy. it needs "what kind of seams are invented on this planet" energy and "im just gonna trust the audience to roll with me about this" energy. it needs one person (at least) screaming into the void with so much drive and energy that it forces the story to be real.

sometimes people are baffled when fanfic has some stunning jaw-dropping tattoo-it-on-you lines. and i'm like - well, i don't go here, but that makes sense to me. of fucking course people who have this amount of passion are going to create something good. they moved from a place of genuine love and enjoyment.

so yeah, duh! saturday cartoons have banger lines. random street art is sometimes the most precious heart-wrenching shit you've ever seen. someone singing on tiktok ends up creating your next favorite song. youtubers are giving us 5 hours of carefully researched content. all of this is the impossible equation to latestage capitalism. like, you can't force something to be good. AI cannot make it good. no amount of focus-group testing or market research. what makes a story worth listening to is that someone cares so much about telling it - through dance, art, music, whatever it takes - that they are just a little unhinged about it.

one time my friend told me he stayed up all night researching how many ways there are to peel an orange. he wrote me a poem that made me cry on public transportation. the love came through it like pith, you know? the words all came apart in my hands. it tasted like breakfast.
