I have a question about the jp server pickups, since I really want knight Sebek, but I’m trying to save gems for bloom malleus + the 3rd tsum event that’s gonna show up sooner or later. Iirc, after knight Sebek, the next story update’s pickup had all of the previous story cards (ie cerberus Ortho, general Lilia, and knight Sebek). Is this true, and if it is, did it include a token system like the dorm pickups where you can just do 100 pulls and then buy the specific card you want directly? Because if that is how it works, then I can wait until then and be sure I won’t have to go to 200 for him.

we did indeed get a second chance at those three when 7-7 came out! I'm pretty sure there was not a token system -- though admittedly I don't 100% remember, sorry! 🙇 I took a quick search through some past posts/videos from people who tend to include the gacha and news stuff, but I didn't see any mention of it, so I'm inclined to think there really wasn't one. :( they were all separate pickups with their own pull counts rather than a combined one, if that info helps at all.

speaking as a strict f2p who hoards keys/gems like the lovechild of a dragon and a magpie, given the choice between saving for a story card and a birthday card, I'd go for story -- it does require a lot of patience, but there are way more opportunities to get past birthday cards, both from the anniversary events and the rerun pickups! tsums is a bit harder to say anything on because Eng doesn't follow the same event schedule, but it's a longish event and those pickups let you have a free 10-roll, so I think they're also a bit easier to save up for.

(ALSO speaking of free rolls, starting with the fifth round of birthdays -- the kutsurogi my room ones -- the birthday boy/union jacket/bloom cards have had a separate pickup that you can get two free 10-pulls at by doing missions! I got a bloom Jade from it a couple weeks ago. :D meanwhile general Lilia is the only story card I've ever managed to pull, so...I'm probably kinda biased. whoops.)

If I may suggest, have you considered keeping the sketch as the lineart and just working on top of it after coloring if necessary? It’s what I do since I can’t make really nice lineart and it works well for me

Childe is out and about, forced to complete his Harbinger duties for the day before coming home, but he leaves a meltingly sweet letter and a cup of hot cocoa with cream on the table for you, promising to be back as soon as possible. Legacy simply yawns, insisting on carrying you around wherever you go, playfully nibbling on your fingers as you run your hands through his thick, coppery hair. you tap the center of his mask, beneath his glittering eye, and he chitters happily

true to his word, Childe returns a couple of hours earlier than usual, arms full of flowers. they're all the types you would go out and pick together, from qingxin and silkflowers to glaze lilies and violetgrass. you always beamed whenever the local flowers bloomed, and Childe takes great joy in arranging some in a vase before tucking your favorite behind your ear, a favor you instantly return with a glaze lily a shade or two darker than the rest. he laughs, the blue rich against his hair, and sweeps you into his arms with a theatrical twirl, Foul Legacy circling you both and cooing. he's got a few more gifts for you- some pastries you both love, a tiny glass whale to compliment the plush narwhal you got for him as well- but right now he just flops over onto the bed, hugging you on top of him. Legacy curls around both of you, resting his head on your stomach and purring loud enough to wake the dead, completely and utterly content

So, I'll assume you know the general just of Whistling if you've read Flesh Anon's asks! Jic the short version: Monsters who are SO infused with magic that they have to rely on human meat + physical make-up to fuel their bodies. Thanks to this weird form, they can shape-shift. People didn't like that in the early days, scared them off, now they live in a kingdom everyone thinks is terrifying. Dust is friends with them!

Okay, now, I'm gonna do a little bit of free-writing about my ideas for the first times Dust encountered the Whistlers abd their weird traditions. (This is subject to change as Ancha and I will probably discuss and/or I see cool tags and eat them lmao-)

But. Dust I'd like. A grown man. His 30s or so by the main story. That means much of his older teen/young adult years were spent climbing the ranks in Orchard's black market scene. During his work, there was a boss he had who wanted him to be a diplomat for their new "business partners" since he talked so little and seemingly had a will of steel. He agreed (was promised higher pay if he could do it) and was told to meet these people in a certain house at a border city.

These people greeted him coldly, weary, but they were monsters and Dust was respectful and unbothered. Even though their decor was a little strange (a lot of... bones.) And they sometimes spoke a language from another kingdom. They made smalltalk about this new trade agreement and sounded hesitant about Dust's boss. He agreed his boss was shady, but people really did need these imports.

Then the ultimatum came along when dinner was ready. They didn't try to hide it very well, the shape was obvious. A human limb being served.

They said that he'd eat. Then they could really talk business. And Dust, of course, suddenly knew why his boss didn't come himself. Dust was fodder. A guinea pig. A buffer for him. He hesitated, of course. That's like... human. For real.

But, he saw the others start eating. The same thing. Watching him curiously. Wearily. And the thing was? It looked well-cooked. The kitchen had smelled great. It had herbs and nice presentation. And. Y'know what? He was working peanuts for wages up until now. He had to do something to fix that. So, he just gave it a nibble. And. Frankly. It did not taste bad. It was actually *really* seasoned. The spice made his sockets water a bit, but he just wiped them and took another bite. Then another.

Only after he was almost finished, smalltalk having continued after his third bite, one of the whistlers asked how he liked it. He said it was good. Spicy, but good. And then one of them nodded to another and they scurried off. Immediately after, they started talking real business. They accepted him and his offer he brought because he just went with the flow. They were impressed. He gets out of there with a successful trade agreement and gets his raise. On the caveat that he is the one who always meets the Whistlers about trade and changes. He agrees.

There are several occasions between the first meeting and the next where Dust runs into a whistler in the wild. During the first meeting he'd been gifted a little charm of human bones, and he just keeps it on his belt. Who's gonna steal bones? But, it makes him a little beacon for traveling Whistlers, who would greet him and sometimes even give him a little gift if they ran into him twice. He was always cordial with them.

The second amd third meetings are progressively further into Orchard, and Dust has experiences both levels of meat consumption. The ultra-spicy options, or the practically raw ones. The raw meal did take him a moment to come to teems with. He's not a fan of any raw meats, but he made the effort to look past it. It was bland, a little tough, but the texture wasn't awful and he didn't mind the change away from the spice. The Whistlers at this dinner were excited to see Dust finish his full plate (his mother taught him that it's rude to not eat your fill when being hosted). The third meeting they gift a bone necklace.

Now, the best moment in my mind is Dust's ascension to Crine Lord. He'd been managing the Whistlers pretty much all on his own fir this whole time. His boss was pretty openly perturbed by them and called them awful terms. Dust never listened much to him and had been slowly learning more about the culture and past. He found it interesting, and he realized a lot more than he thought sought refuge or new prey (and customers) in Orchard. He has quite a few Whistler Friends.

The whistlers insist they meet Dust's boss when he off-handedly mentions during a quick meet-up that he only gets a little fraction of money that he sends to his family (the Whistlers also start delivering that money for him. Safer than his boss' goons). They want to have dinner with him. He (tentatively) agrees when Dust relays the message. And yet when they arrive with the intention of sharing their culture, like they have with Dust who has been so welcoming, this guy? This guy can't stomach even a single bite. Which already possess off the Whistling Ambassadors. But then he insults them. They're used to it, but insulted. Then when Dust moves to defend them, "You're the one who agreed to a dinner, boss. You knew the menu." The boss turns on him and starts calling *him* a freak for eating human meat.

And let's just say. Well. The whistlers don't take kindly to the insults being hurled at Dust. They threaten to retract their deal, then when he's uncooperative they. Well. Let's just say the dust is scattered thoroughly. It leaves Dust in an awkward position. His food is half-finished, his guests just killed his source of income, and now whole towns will be out of supplies w/o the boss. He was an asshole, but Dust *kinda* needed him to get paid.

He relays that information to the whistlers, still picking at his meal, and they all unanimously suggest he should fill the seat. He seems informed enough.

And. The boss was stupid enough to write all his information + contacts down. So after he finishes the meal he genuinely like. Decides to become the new boss of this branch.

Initially the human meat was something he kinda worried over, the ethics and stresses of magical technicalities, but in the end it didn't hurt him in any way and it was always prepared with good intention. So, it became a regular item on his menu (only when meeting with his Whistler Allies though). And those meals got a lot more frequent when he became known as a safe space within Orchard for Whistlers. He'd defend then any day, and they know it. In turn, they provide amazing supplies he can distribute. (The connections to Whistling and other Good Contacts are why he burns his documents before getting captured by Killer. Doesn't want them getting caught too.)

Now reactions! So, I haven't looked back, but I briefly recall mentioning Killer's reaction (Drunk off their asses and slipping up) but I feel like it also happened once when talking with Cross and Lust. Maybe not directly about the human eating initially, but they're out and about and Dust is suddenly approached fearlessly by a stranger and handed a little basket. Dust is unphased but Lust and Cross are a little worried like 'what.. what is that?' And Dust just says 'care package'. Tries to leave it at that, but the other two are young and curious, and so Dust unpacks it for them to see when they get to Lust's shop. There's a few cool bone charms, a little bandana with white embroidery like lightning cracking across its surface, and then a very beautifully seasoned, delicious-smelling, hunk of cooked meat. Cross is worried it's got something wrong with it (Night's worried Poison Talk still gets him sometimes) and Lust insists he's jealous and would kill for something that smells/looks that tasty. Dust says they wouldn't like it. Lust disagrees. (Note: Dust, as eldest Knight/Sibling has SUCH a habit of letting the other mooch off any treats or goodies he has on hand.) He has to sigh and drop the lore that it's most certainly cooked human meat. They assume he's joking, he reassures them he's absolutely not kidding and that they really shouldn't eat any. He ends up then having to casually spill that it's "Rude to not eat home-made meals." When Cross asks if he's actually going to eat it. Lust looks a little queasy and Cross is just flabbergasted. Dust says he should probably get it back to the castle freezer before it spoils. Cross and Lust are left trying to puzzle out when exactly Dust just casually ate humans in the past. Cross mentions it to Killer who recounts his drunken conversation and then Cross has to know that BOTH of them had tries it before.

In the same breath, I think Dust telling Nightmare is a funny one too. Like, mentioned briefly, but I imagine Nightmare was worried when news got back to him of Whistlers being spotted near the castle grounds, but they always leave harmlessly and it's Dust who vouched for them during discussions. He has to, at some point, answer Nightmare's questions after connecting the dots. Night's a *little* concerned at first, Dust having such a strange diet seems unhealthy, especially with his weakened magic, but he says there's usually decent intent and it tastes fine even when it's not cooked. They've never served him anything rotten. Ultimately, Night just comes to terms under the umbrella of diplomacy. It's simply their culture, and Dust was being welcoming to it.

Night double-checks that with Reaper and Geno's records of Whistling, but Geno mentions how a friend from university (Outer) ended up confessing he was half-whistler after graduation so he got a little information on the situation. It matched Nightmare's and justified the reasoning even more. As long as it doesn't bother Dust, he won't question it or ask him to stop.

do you have any headcanons for robert’s family/childhood/relationship history?

not as many as i do for chris of course LMAO but i have a few:

i'm of the firm belief that robert is smack in the middle of seven children, which is a huge part of the reason why he's Like That(tm). he has such extreme neglected middle child vibes to me alkjgdasl

i don't have super concrete headcanons for any of his siblings (other than ellie ofc but we'll get to her <3) but i do know that they're mostly if not entirely sisters (which is also part of the reason why he's Like That)

i also know robert absolutely ranks them in his head the same way he did the drama society in his masterclass lmao. obviously here though he's ranking them by how good of a sibling they are and these rankings change based on his whims except for his youngest sister who's at the bottom because he's jealous of her being the baby and he's petty like that lol

would being the youngest child have fixed robert. no he would've been so much worse. we're lucky things turned out the way they did LMAO

........rest of this post is going under a cut cuz in typical marshy fashion it got looooong lol. i guess i had more thoughts on this than i thought (or maybe writing this got me thinking about it more? hmmmm.......)

anyway one of his older siblings (if not the oldest one) is the one who had lucy. they did drop in his rankings after this happened but he raised them again after he realized he could make his poor niece take his acting lessons ghlkasdfk

ellie was already very low on his list (no major reason for this, they just argue a lot/don't generally get along) and she did drop to second to last after dating chris. she was saved from the absolute bottom of the list by the youngest sister grudge because that beef won out over his irritation and jealousy at her dating his rival lmao

as you can probably tell, i don't think robert has a great relationship with most of his siblings tbh. i think attention was a limited currency in the grove family, and so he considered them competition for his mother and father's attention, and they considered him competition right back. i don't think the grove parents intentionally tried to pit them against each other, but they were extremely sparing with who they gave attention and their affection to, so it was just a natural result of their neglect that their children would end up fighting for whatever little they did give out 😭

which is to say that while robert and chris both had cold, emotionally distant mothers, celia is obsessed with chris (particularly with regards to micromanaging him) and just pretends like she isn't, but robert's mother genuinely barely remembers he exists some days :')

and when she does remember he exists she's disappointed in him. RIP buddy

to once again contrast him with chris though, i really do think he's mostly over trying to convince his mother to love him. like, it's not gone, i don't think that kinda thing ever fully goes away and it can certainly be triggered by certain things (i think the coup was something that he ummm. totally very casually brought up to her to try to impress her and unfortunately she was not impressed in the slightest 😔), but he's definitely not endlessly and actively striving for it the way chris does.

no, instead he just has slightly inappropriate relationships with older women to chase that validation instead, especially those who are the mothers of his friends. fun! :D

related to both those points, i think that in summer once again, the "mother said i was all talk and no trousers" line was referring to his actual mother, and the "another spanking from mother" line was referring to a dominatrix he was seeing at the time, lmao. and the way sandra rolls her eyes when he says the latter makes me feel like he's definitely told her way too much about that situation ahgakldsjfkl

and he does call them both mother because he's a Freak with a capital F. listen, if shields, lewis, and sawyer didn't want me to interpret these characters this way they wouldn't have written those lines into the show, they're practically begging me to be freudian about it ghkladsjf

anyway! as far as his father goes, just like one raymond bean, he was way less involved in the kids' lives than his mother (who's. already pretty uninvolved. RIP). i think i saw a piece of lore saying his dad is a surgeon and tbh i like that idea, his father having some high paying job with long hours that keep him away from the house for extended periods of time, so i think i'm gonna keep it even if i'm misremembering :')

i think. robert is far less concerned with receiving his approval than his mother's lol. i think part of it is that with his father it already feels like a lost cause because he didn't go to anything ~important~ or ~sciencey~ in school, he pursued something creative instead, and so there was inherently no chance of impressing His Father The Impressive And Important Surgeon. another part of it is that his father was also around even less than his mother was, and robert tends to be a very out of sight, out of mind person when it comes to his emotional issues, so he didn't have much of a chance to dwell on it.

i think when it comes to his relationships to his parents in general though his need for approval from them specifically kind of subdued, at least when compared to chris. it's not that he doesn't have complexes about it, far from it, it's just that he's projected a need for attention from his parents onto other people around him instead of chasing their approval forever. a part of him understands that that ship has long since sailed in a way chris doesn't.

.....this wasn't mean to get so analytical ghlaksdfds i have to rein this back in so. ANYWAY. moving onto relationships lol

so.......this is where denise comes in. i actually haven't talked about her much, but i do have a lot of thoughts on her. let's see how much longer this post can get glkasdjfklsd

this may be controversial but i think robert was shockingly monogamous throughout his first few years of university. in my head, him and denise were high school sweethearts, met and started dating at age sixteen, and got married at age twenty and expected that they'd stay together forever

needless to say that Did Not happen lmao but i'm getting ahead of myself

anyway. outside of his weird situationship with chris, robert was super dedicated to denise, and their relationship actually was mostly functional for a while. they shared a similar sardonic (and occasionally dickish lol) sense of humor, they were pretty affectionate with each other, and they had similar goals in life.......at least at first. they had a very long honeymoon period where they didn't fight about anything, they went to the same university, there was an unspoken assumption that this was a soulmate never break up situation, both from robert and denise themselves and from their friends

which in speaking of their friends, i do think that because they were married at the time (again they married way too young), denise started out as a part of the chrissandrarobert friend group, and sandra and chris got along with her pretty well. in fact robert was kind of pissed off at how well chris and denise specifically got along, lmao (he had no problems with sandra and denise's friendship, but to be fair his and sandra's relationship was far less antagonistic ahglkasjdkf).

chris and denise weren't like, super close, but they clicked pretty well with each other and they'd play that up and pretend to be best friends just to piss robert off lol. and in their defense it was genuinely funny how actually annoyed it made him (especially when they pointed out their similarities to each other......god help him lmao)

yeah remember how i mentioned chris and robert's weird situationship. that wasn't The Factor that broke up the denise/robert marriage but it certainly didn't help hglkasdjfdsf. i think denise encouraged it at first cuz she found it funny and didn't think their homoerotic rivalry was a serious threat to their relationship at first......but then sandra informed her that robert was in fact bisexual (not realizing he wasn't out to her, she assumed he'd already told her, but he hasn't cuz he had some internalized biphobia issues and thought it'd make him less attractive to her) and well. then she started to get a little worried about how close those two were lol

again this was Not what broke up the relationship, though it certainly did not help :') i don't think denise is like, genuinely biphobic, but she is heterosexual and monogamous, and she did feel a little uncomfortable seeing him pseudo-flirting with his best-worst friend knowing that there was a chance he was genuinely attracted to him. which i think is pretty fair tbh, especially since he hadn't told her about his sexuality at first

(which, granted, was more about his own insecurity than an intent to cheat, but still. the communication around this particular situation was Not Great so she never really understood why he hid it and that just added to her discomfort 🥲)

tbh i think what contributed to the divorce is just the simple facts that 1) robert's worst traits only got Worse as time went on, so they got harder to ignore/excuse (and i don't think he ever abused her or intentionally hurt her, but he did get less sensitive over the years and denise is not the type of woman to let that slide) and 2) robert's dedication to the drama society was becoming more and more of an obstacle to the relationship

i think the actual divorce happened sometime between the play that goes wrong and peter pan goes wrong. to me denise is a firey, determined redhead who already knew she wasn't okay with watching her husband prioritize a drama society that's actively hurting him and their friends, and while i think there were a few disastrous performances before that already had her wavering and begging him to quit, the murder at haversham manor was so bad that it was just the final straw for her

tbh watching sandra get knocked out and the rest of them continuing on was probably the biggest thing that had her bowing out lol

i do think she still cares about him (and sandra and chris by extension) after everything, she just couldn't handle the disregard for their own and each other's safety anymore. that was too much for her

i think she's low contact with all of them, though occasionally she'll text them to make sure they're okay cuz she does still love them. it's just too hard to have them in her life, y'know? following that, she definitely does not follow play of the week, lmao, though she is simultaneously proud, disturbed, and baffled by their tenacity when it comes to their stage presences lol

though......and this is something that i've been thinking about writing as a fic for a while now (and that may or may not still happen. we'll see lol) but i do think that she does catch wind of how bad spirit of christmas was from her current friends (including the fact that robert mentioned never getting over her and that he lives in his car), and in a fit of protectiveness she willingly breaks her own boundaries and heads over to the theater to make sure her old flame and old friends are okay :')

i think she's the one who pushes robert to move in with dennis so he's no longer living in his car. she can't let him stay with her, but she does want him to be safe and have a comfortable place to live :')

So I’m kinda curious, I know you said you are not much of a shipping person (aside from like SkSw Zelink and Miphlink) but are there any of the popular ships that stand out either as ones you think are cute or ones you really do not like?

Hmmm 🤔 I’m fairly neutral or just meh about most, but I guess there are a few that stand out? Or maybe I should just list my opinions on the major ones I know of?

BotW Zelink - I don’t mind it post Calamity. Not really into it pre-calamity, it feels like it’s at the expense of a relationship that’s already there (Mipha and Link). But dang the two definitely would be close after the calamity, given that they’re the only ones who have such a shared experience. I could see it being romantic or platonic, and there’s kind of a heavy leaning towards romantic but then totk also makes it seem platonic sometimes too?? Whatever. Nintendo likes to be vague (except Skyward Sword, let’s be real, nothing about that was vague lol), but I can see it happening after everything.

Midlink - I think it’s sweet. I think in canon Link’s most likely gonna either be with Ilia or someone we don’t even see in the game as he travels, but Midna definitely could’ve had a chance with him if there’d been more time for them. They had good chemistry, and the physical attraction was clearly there when Link saw her true form.

OoT Zelink - Nope. Especially Adult Timeline, absolutely not. It’s a pet peeve of mine that people ship this Link with anyone in the Adult Timeline - he is a child in a teenager’s body. NO. Sure, his body might be attracted to people, but his brain sure ain’t figuring it out, and anybody who wants to explore that just… no. NO. As for Child Timeline, I feel like this Link has a hard time reconciling what happened, has a hard time letting go, and would therefore have a really difficult time separating Child Timeline Zelda from Adult Timeline Zelda and that would lead to too many mixed feelings. I can’t see them getting together. This ship is either entirely one sided (I can 100% see Adult Timeline Zelda romanticizing the Hero she’s been waiting for before she really realizes that he’s still a kid, if she ever realizes it) or nonexistent.

Malink - I quite like it. I honestly didn’t really see it in the game, there’s like… enough for it to happen, I guess, but admittedly Linked Universe has made me biased. But given that it’s heavily implied TP Link and OoT Link are related, and TP Link knows Epona’s song, and Malon was a friend of Link’s, and she talks of marrying a knight in shining armor, and Shade is a knight in shining armor… I can put two and two together. And I think they’d be cute together.

Sidlink - Just… why. I get that half the fandom is in love with Sidon, so they project that, but good grief. Link was engaged to his sister. That’s some Hamlet level incest nonsense there. Link may not remember Mipha all that well but Sidon freaking does. Just because the dude is ridiculously sweet and supportive to literally everyone and about literally everything doesn’t mean he’s romantically inclined towards everyone. He’s a golden retriever, there are two brain cells firing between those fins, let the man just be happy and vibe, good grief. I had this opinion before totk came out, and then the addition of Yona made me laugh because I knew the fandom would blow up about it, but she’s honestly really sweet and good for him - I loved when she called him out to help him, she’s a good wife, I like her 😤

Uh… I think those are all the popular ships I have any kind of actual opinions about? Aside from Skyward Sword Zelink and Miphlink, love them both, mwuah. The rest I’m just meh. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Honestly, I’m very inclined to say that just because two people share oxygen together doesn’t mean they’re gonna fall in love. Just because two people might have some chemistry doesn’t mean they’re gonna fall in love. And just because two hormonal teenagers think each other is hot does not mean they’re gonna end up together. But since romance is such a huge thing in fandoms and in our culture, and I am very much not in a romantic relationship and therefore the culture makes me feel like my life is incomplete, I am not very inclined to get into shipping all that much (translation: sometimes shipping is downright annoying to me, and I hate it when fandoms ship characters together just because they like each other as if other relationships can’t even exist or be meaningful), even the ones that I love. My biggest weakness is loving families, though, so that’s usually where I cheat lol.

What do you think the guys are gonna do during the break?

I don't really have any new insights that are different from what others have already been talking about, but thanks for asking!! I'll also add my sophisticated opinions on what I personally hope they'll do (in my delusional daydreams)

Joel - what I think he'll do: probably radio, cringy tiktoks and 2-3 more covers and trying not to lose his mind (same girl same) - what I hope he'll do: take a (proper) social media break, go somewhere warm and sunny, maybe tan a bit, BE HAPPY 😭 and ooooh maybe some modelling 👀

Joonas - what I think he'll do: he talked about maybe doing a podcast at some point so I guess that's gonna be his solo project - what I hope he'll do: something fashion-related maybe? and if he'll indeed do the podcast, I'll hope he'll host all his bandmates as guests and give us crumbs 🥺

Niko - what I think he'll do: I suppose he'll work on his other creative projects (writing) while also focusing on music, perhaps via Minna's career more than his own stuff, but probably for his own amusement as well + record label stuff - what I hope he'll do: idk man, I just hope he gets to live as a hermit for as long as he needs to because apparently that's what he really wants! and maybe they get another cat to play with Rommi 🥰

Aleksi - what I think he'll do: music production and spending looooooooooooooooooooooooots of time in his studio doing whatever (and fighting the urge to make social media posts whenever he's bored so maybe he just texts Olli instead) + record label stuff. I doubt he'll do any solo gigs as Alex Mattson, but if he does, you can bet me and my girlies will be there 😌 - what I hope he'll do: bring back the twitch streams (not gonna happen), take up any (LITERALLY ANY) joint project with Olli and be all boyfriends in denial love about it pls pls pls I need thiiiisss otherwise I don't think I'll make it alive 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Olli: - what I think he'll do: graphic design seems to be the general consensus and this headcanon is actually suppported by recent events so I'ma go with that one - what I hope he'll do: see above what I wrote for Aleksi, also literally anything where we get to see his pretty face for at least once in a blue moon, but I'm not gonna hold my breath for that happening 😔 I'm also dyinnngggg for him to get somehow involved in Scary Noise Records, at least with his graphic design skills if nothing else, come on pleeeeaaaaasssseeeeee I don't want him to disappear completely 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 another entirely delusional daydream is for him (and Aleksi, because can these two idiots do anything without each other?) to launch their own clothesline (since Olli is the merch guy and Aleksi also had his own Alex Mattson clothesline back in the day)

Tommi: - what I think he'll do: actually just two nights ago I had a dream in which Tommi told everyone he'd gotten a job *somewhere*, I can't for the life of me remember where but it was a very ordinary job and he was so pleased with it, so yeah, I guess he's just gonna keep on having "a real job" 😂 - what I hope he'll do: something completely obscure no one could predict, like starting a husky farm or something lol

Hey so do you know where I could find this acting manifesto of yours?

I usually try and avoid publicly expressing my opinion on things like this but I recently saw some people commenting negatively on his acting again and I’m starting to doubt my own judgement.

I’ve truly never had a huge problem with his acting but I keep seeing people using really harsh words to describe his prior and current work. I genuinely think he’s doing a good job in THK but these comments sometimes make me think I’m missing something.

That conflicts with the fact I know at least three people he worked with on THK specifically had positive things to say about his acting too and I trust people who do this for a living to know what they’re talking about for the most part.

I guess I’m just looking for your post to have a more detailed perspective of the opposite viewpoint to “he’s a terrible actor” to help affirm some of my thinking so I’m more confident in my positive opinion of his acting.

Overall though I’m enjoying everyone in this show but for me I’m specifically enjoying the four mains the most. Kudos to them honestly.

(Disclaimer: Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion but the harshness of some of the opinions took me off guard a little.)

2. What's something about your OC that people wouldn't expect just from looking at them?

That he's a very competent intellectual and philanthropist who is in the process of completing his PhD when we meet him.

Caleb often comes across so grounded and flirty and even 'business class' that his mannerisms sometimes mask the fact that he's ultimately someone who staunchly believes in omega rights to the point that he's doing his PhD in Omega Sciences. He doesn't talk like an activist, in fact sometimes he behaves like the opposite of one, and so I think people who meet him or who look at him and how much he loves fashion etc. would come to other conclusions about his job (like Faber did!) or about his interests.

Caleb knows that and he likes that, lmao.

12. Is your OC self-destructive? In what ways?

Broadly, no, not at all. Caleb makes smart decisions that often further his business prospects, but isn't prone to over-working destructively and believes in a good work-life balance.

He's not a drinker, he's not someone prone to destructive relationships and he's had a pretty privileged existence where he's been raised to respect the people around him, including himself. He's someone who believes he has inherent value as a person, has very few self worth issues, and folks like that generally aren't prone to self-destructive behaviours!

Caleb might make some dumb decisions for someone he loves though...

Floridian 1: yeah, the lizards are definitely more of an issue. FL has a Lot Of Them and the iguanas are mostly an issue in the south (I couldn’t walk my terrier at night without a stick to whack them with because they’d come after her), and they’re super invasive so. We hate them lol. I had a Cuban anole living in the bush outside my bathroom window and she and her babies ate all the flies we’d usually get so she never got chased off. Sometimes snakes are issues, but as long as you leave the bitey ones alone you’re good. And gators don’t care about humans much, just make a lot of noise and they leave, or if they’re small just grab em by the tail and toss ‘em back into the water
