4. jailer (rajni kanth movie, SO FREAKING GOOD the dialogues were just *chef’s kiss*)

5. bro (about a dude who is given 180 more days at life when he almost dies, very emotional and sweet)

6. goodachari (spy movie, HIGHLY RECOMMEND I CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HOW AMAZING IT IS)

7. happy days (a sweet movie about college romance it’s hilarious and the songs are so good too!! i love the dynamics between the characters too)

8. yashoda (basically a movie about uncovering a conspiracy in the medical industry, plot twists at every turn, super engaging)

9. mishan impossible (THIS IS LITERALLY SO FUNNY it’s about three boys who want money so they set off to bombay to find this criminal in exchange for the prize money and istg these kids are so hilarious i’m not even joking—)

10. bad luck sakhi (this movie is super entertaining it’s about a girl who’s believed to be bad luck for the village but her childhood friend returns and now she’s super happy and then she decides to participate in a shooting competition…it gets super dramatic lmao)

bonus: jathi ratnalu (yk what i can’t even explain just three broke guys going to hyderabad THEYRE SO GOOFY AHAHAHAHA)

Hello hi.

So I was watching Major yesterday. It started playing and I was watching it distractedly and then 10 minutes into the movie I was like—I’ve seen this guy somewhere. I mean ofc I’d seen Adivi Sesh in movies before but I was like no I’ve seen him somewhere else too. And then 15-20 mins into the whole thing I was like—this dude would make a great lrhwy Alec cause he’s in the army right? and then suddenly I realised this is the dude you fancasted as Alec I’m so stupid sksksksks.

Anyways, Adivi Sesh was so amazing in that movie and istg he’s the perfect Alec. Physique, height, hair, everything else.

Anyways point was—- TOP TIER CASTING. I am even more obsessed with him now.

Also if you haven’t watched the movie, you should (If it’s not triggering for you ofc). It was terrific.

ANYWAY I also recommend you watch his holy trinity of movies (which is just like… the first three movies he’s the protagonist in, major is the fourth, but they’re so good and he’s got superior taste in script selection so they ARE a holy trinity) - Kshanam, Goodachari and Evaru. All of these movies have some triggering content in them tho - Kshanam deals with gaslighting and mental health issues, Goodachari is a spy thriller so there’s obviously violence, and Evaru has some heavy scenes about rape (there’s a couple of flashbacks too) in the first half, soooo take care, you don’t have to watch any of these movies if these topics are disturbing or triggering for you 🤗

Telugu. I can express myself better in Telugu despite it just being raw Telugu sounds and barely syllables. I think better (for other people) in English. Hindi counts too. Maybe Marathi.

Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra... I like living if it's according to my terms (do i seem vain enough yet?)

Nainital, blame that one KBC episode with the muppets and Big B's school

Deepavali. I love glowing diyas or candles.

When an eyelash is shed, make a wish. Don't throw or step on your nails in the house. Don't keep anything broken in the house (i can make a joke about myself, but i shall refrain). Don't say the Telugu word for salt out loud after sunset. It just gives me a sense of satisfaction and frankly a sense of cleanliness by following. (These stunts are performed by professionals. Do not perform them without parental guidance)

9. Something that makes you glad you are Desi?

The different ways of dressing up for women that is comfortable for all sizes. I, being a plus size woman, can feel comfortable in a sari, chudidar, patiyala, ghaghra, half-sari etc.

10. If you weren't born in desi countries which country would have been born in?

Probably Australia (don't ask why)

11. Have you ever thought of leaving this country?

Yes. It's in the starting package of being a desi girl.

Lata Mangeshkar. My fav song is Jane Kya Tune Kahi from Pyaasa by Geeta Dutt.

No film is completely my favorite, I like parts of various movies. And my top movies with my top fav scenes are: Godavari, Oohalu Gusagusalaade, Bangalore Days, Goodachari, Karthikeya 2, Mr and Mrs Smith, Eega, Rangasthalam, Shyam Singha Roy etc.

14. A core desi memory?

Every time I go home to my nani, I can wipe my lips with her cheera chengu, I can sleep on the terrace and stare at the stars while a Chandamama katha is narrated to me till I fall asleep. Maybe that's what love is.
